It took some time for our server to come to our table. I ordered for Guinness Stout and our server brings a can of Guinness. If you know anything about Guinness, you don't drink it straight out of the can. I had to wait for more time for the server so that I can ask for a beer glass. Great service and delicious food! They have a lot of outdoor seating available with space heaters to keep you warm. I also love that they have string lights which makes for a cute, warm setting. Their marghertia pizza is a must! They add fresh strips of basil and I think they also use fresh mozzarella (not the pre-shredded mozzarella). I also ordered their lobster cannoli which I was a bit skeptical about trying, but pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Their service is great. Unfortunately a lot of customers waiting for food weren't wearing masks but the restaurant set the right example with all employees wearing masks. While the food was quite good it was definitely not worth the absolutely horrendous service that accompanied it. Like many reviewers before me I would recommend you just stay away. In Arlington there are so many places to eat, why settle for mediocre food and terrible service when there's a plethora of good restaurants to choose from? It started with our reservation, our friends walked in and made a reservation for the same night in person and watched the girl put it in. When we came back that evening the reservation was no longer in the system and while we insisted to speak to the same girl we gave our reservation to who was standing right behind our hostess the hostess said there's nothing she could do as the girl was on the phone so we then had to wait or be seated outside (in 50 degree weather). So we opted for outside since we had a limited time frame for dinner, they sat us not underneath the roof with the heaters until we requested to be under the heaters (while only 3 tables were taken outside) and were seated under a broken heater. Whatever right? They gave us 4 things of silverware for our table of 6 and we asked for more and did not get them until after our food came out. To top it all off they brought out 4 of our 6 meals and said the rest would be right out. 40 minutes later after several complaints the other 2 entrees arrived to our table, after all other food was cold as we were waiting for everyone to have their meals. Our waiter promised to have those two meals on the house due to the ridiculous wait time (Exact words were "At the very least you will not be paying for these meals.") and instead brought us two desserts which we never asked for and then refused to keep the promise of comping the meals. I've been going to a lot of spots in Arlington for their brunch over the past few months. Fire Works has the best value hands down. The quality of food varies by what you order. The Avocado toast has ALWAYS been soggy and wet. The toast doesn't even seem toasted. The Spinach Dip is stellar, some of the best I've ever had tbh. Drinks are good value. On the sampler, the wings, garlic knots, & cheese curds had no flavor. The jalapeño popper was super spicy and not edible as the seeds were still in there making it to be very spicy. The pizza was such a letdown. It lacked flavor and it seemed as if it was sitting out as it didn't taste fresh at all. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I truly felt that this place let us down as first timers. I recently hosted a happy hour here with an open bar package and a number of heavy hors d'oeuvres for 50 people.Everything was fantastic. From initially working with the catering manager to the staff on site, everyone was very professional and helpful. We had wings, caprese skewers, lamb meatballs, veggies & dip, antipasto, and spinach dip. The lamb meatballs are a meal in themselves and really delicious and I could have single-handedly eaten the spinach dip. The front outside bar was the perfect setting on a beautiful evening but had the weather gone south, we would have been prepared with rain flaps and heaters. Fire Works holds a small place in my heart because my sister worked here. And they have great sangria. Mostly the sangria... The first thing I need to say is this: ORDER THE COOKIE SKILLET or sundae or whatever it's called. It's a perfect little cookie in a personal pan skillet with a scoop of ice cream. I've tried to find another cookie skillet anywhere that's as gooey and perfect as this one but to no avail. So last time my sisters and I were at fire works, we ordered 3 (there were 4 of us). They say that the 14" pizza will feed 2 people. I'd say it could feed 3. I was in a group of 7 and we ordered 4 pizzas to be safe (2 of the supreme one, 1 Quattro carne, 1 margarita). The supreme was the star of the show for me. Obviously this isn't a Jack's supreme frozen pizza by any means, but it was nostalgic almost, but then at the same time, so spruced up with the fresh onions and peppers. The Quattro carne was just too much salt for me personally and I wasn't a huge fan of the meatball, but my sisters loved it. The margherita was the most lackluster pizza we ordered. The mozzarella left much to be desired, but I just drank more sangria and it was alright. (This post has been updated to correct the spelling of the margherita. The previous spelling had eluded that I would have liked salt and tequila on the pizza, which also isn't a half bad idea. Thanks Fire Works manager!) I will say the service has never left anything to be desired and I often did write home about it (because my sister worked there - duh). I've been walking passed and smelling their pizza for a while so had to give it a try. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, everyone was wearing a mask and being respectful. The bourbon Bramble was made at their outside bar and was a great suggestion by the waitress. The Lamb Bolognese was delicious, the Lamb well cooked, but the portion was a little small. The pizza which I was really excited about came out quickly and was hot and tasty, but the dough was a little underbaked, would have liked it a little more crispy. Server was nice and chatty at first. She disappeared for about 10 min after we got our apps. Then we ordered a veggie pizza and asked for meat to be only on half. When the pizza came out there was sausage on 3/4 of the pizza. We asked our server for small plates, chili flakes, and Parmesan but she never returned; she instead chose to focus on a large party. I asked another server for the manager, he went to our server who immediately came over and asked if everything was alright (nice try) and she attempted to take my card for the bill to which I declined. Another 10 min and no manager so I asked the same guy and he acted surprised that the manager had not stopped by yet. The manager finally came by, I explained that we were disappointed with the level of service and he offered to buy all of dinner. While I appreciated his gesture, I could not in good conscience let a $80 + bill go. I gave him my card and he said he'd take care of us. He came back and said he took care of the bill, I thanked him profusely and told him that the food was great and he stated the appreciated the feedback on the service. He walked away and I opened the check to see that he had charged appx half of the bill to my card...wth? This place is ridiculous from the serving staff to the management. read more

However, my crust was pale and just barely baked. When I hear "wood fired pizza," I'm hoping that flavor will come through in a golden tasty crust and this just wasn't that.
