I love coming here for Happy Hour. It's rarely busy during this time so there's typically no wait to sit in the bar area and the service is very attentive. I always, ALWAYS, start with a bowl of French Onion Soup, then typically either get the burger or Prime Dip combo - both of which are excellent and a steal including a drink for $16. I have been here for dinner, and the steak, of course, is phenomenal. But if you're after high quality food for budget friendly prices, come in for Happy Hour.

On our one dinner here we began with a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail that contained shrimps that were meaty but not sweet at all, followed by delightful chunky New England Clam Chowder for Diane, and excellent cheesy French Onion Soup for me. The Shrimp Cocktail came with Bloody Mary Sauce and Mustard Aioli. Complimentary rustic Bread & Whipped Butter was another good starter. Next I had a complex Signature Chopped Salad with cubes of Feta Cheese and Champagne Vinaigrette Dressing. For my entree I ordered the Seasonal Specialty Prime Beef Meatloaf with great Bacon-Bourbon Gravy, Yukon Mashed Potatoes, and perfectly cooked Sugar Snap Peas. The quantity of Meatloaf and and Mashed Potatoes was huge, but the Mashed Potatoes were supposed to have been served on the side for both of us to share rather than on my entree plate. Otherwise, service was excellent, and the ambiance elegant and upscale. For her main Diane ordered the Feature of the Day, which was lightly breaded Panko-Crusted Striped Bass with Drawn Butter, and accompanied by Spencer's Fries: French Fries with Sea Salt, Garlic-Parmesan and fines herbs. It was a fine meal! XXXX-1/2 overall!

We have eaten here twice and both times the service has been extraordinary. The extra attention to detail and especially the explanations about the wines is top notch. The food was delicious, the Brussels are unique compared to other steakhouses and delicious. The rotating market options are always unique and delicious. The way they separate their dining room into smaller rooms keeps the noise down and allows you to enjoy good conversation while you eat even when they're busy.

Light dinner tonight. Did the clam chowder and salad.. clam chowder is super delicious and the salad is great. I've never had a bad meal at Spencer's for Steaks and Chops. Service at the bar was great. Never bad service by the bartender here. The ambiance is pretty fancy inside but can get away with business casual attire. Highly recommend

The staff here is what truly made my experience at Spencer's one that'll keep me coming back for more! We sat at the bar and had the time of our lives talking to the bartender and waiters. The drinks were also fantastic and the food was mediocre but for the price and "steakhouse" ambiance well worth it!! We were intimidated at first but luckily we did not have to break the bank on this fancy girls night out on the town. Highly recommend if you wanna be taken care of and served quality goods.

I went to Spencer's right around closing time as I was staying in the hotel upstairs and needed something to tide me over until the morning. This place is a classic steakhouse, big wooden booths with mahogany colored seats, lower lighting, black and white photos on the wall. It felt very Omaha. I ended up just ordering some fries and some red wine followed by some ice cream (weird combo I know but it's what my heart wanted!). The fries were PERFECT; I'm a sucker for a good shoestring and these did not disappoint. The wine list is really great as well with plenty of options by the glass. Despite it being toward the end of the night, the service was still really prompt and friendly. They have a great bar area which was nice and quiet and away from the larger parties in the dining room. I ended up chatting with another guest at the hotel for awhile and all in all it had a great atmosphere.

Love Omaha. Was in town for literally a short night. Got to the hotel around 7:30 pm and knew I wanted some food. Walked by Spencer's and it looked like a place I wanted to try.. Sat at the bar and was warmly greeted with a water and a menu. Decided on the Mussels and a chopped salad. And a cocktail. Food was wonderful. They close at 9 pm and I never felt rushed. I was offered last call and was able to enjoy my food. I will return to try dinner next time I'm in town.

Service | Sweet Potato Fries | Roasted Chicken Service - Monica and I spent our 1 year paper wedding anniversary at Spencer's. We are very happy we did. Mike was our waiter he was AMAZING. very knowledgeable about the menu, wine pairings, and how Spencer's stacks up against other steakhouses in town. Overall, the service was top-notch and you won't find better. Sweet Potato Fries - We had the Sweet Potato Fries as a pseudo appetizer for our meal. Each meal comes with a salad that is pretty filling. However, whenever Monica and I see Sweet Potato Fries on a menu, we have to try them. These were really good. Their honey/cinnamon flavor is surprisingly delicious. The only downside was the Ketchup. In retrospect, I wish we would have ordered BBQ sauce. We ended up eating the fries without the Ketchup because they were better without Ketchup than with Ketchup. Roasted Chicken - I had the Roasted Chicken for my meal. It was great. I highly recommend it. It was tender, filling, and tangy. The glaze that comes over the chicken gives it a memorable taste that will make you consume all of it and ask for more. The chicken comes with a medley of carrots, Brussel sprouts, and another meat (that I cannot remember its name). The medley is good and is a great complement to the chicken. Pro Tip: Whenever ordering fries, get their BBQ sauce not their ketchup. Their Ketchup isn't that great. Pro Tip: Not a lot of parking around the restaurant, therefore you want to grab an uber or give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes for parking.

Our server was very nice - clearly busy - but had a great attitude. The food came out slowly over time, but it was spaced pretty perfectly to get through our starters and then our mains. All the food was fantastic! We got a few starters and mains for the table (highly recommend sharing). My favorite starter was probably the marinated artichoke or the bread that tasted nice and fresh. For the mains, we got some risotto, veggie lasagna, and beef cheek - the resounding favorite was the beef check! It was so tender and the jus had amazing flavor. I was delightfully introduced to this cozy corner by the ever busy Shannon, and she wasn't kidding when said her (Nicola's) Lasagna Mediterranean was to die for. I was gifted a few bites and let me tell you... what ever magic Nicola sprinkles on it, was DELISH. I'm hardly a red sauce fan but ok now.. I see you. Snagged their Tiramisu Martini... and it was just.. perfect. No where near burnt (martinis seem to trick a few up), with that cozy warm Kahlua kick on the back end. A definite will do again in my book! I was feeling a little appetizer-ee this evening so I chose the Bruschetta and Prosciutto e Melone as my meal, and it was plentiful! The sweet (melon) salty (prosciutto) combo, mixed with some tangy asiago was out of the park. I may even dream about this appetizer if I'm completely honest... never mind the pieces of delish bread, topped with finely diced tomatoes. Just everything paired really, really well and it's such a great summer eve meal - peep that patio folks! Not pictured, was a few bites of their Lemon dessert that was incredibly light, airy, fresh, the slightest hint of lemon (it won't smack ya in the face) and the best sponge to her cake. A LOT of love is included, and you can tell.

We shared the Valentine's menu; two starters, two entrees, and two dessert options resulted in us trying one of everything. The starters: Crudo--our surprising favorite--contained buttery yet tart scallops we couldn't shut up about, and fresh made tortellini in a rich red pepper sauce we were spooning out at the end. The entrees: a perfectly cooked crusted, yet tender steak with alarmingly good seasoned hasselback fingerling potatoes, and tender swordfish on a bed of creamy cous cous. The dessert: tart lemon mousse cake was a refreshing end, and a dark chocolate, caramel dish with chantilly I was adding to everything. First off, the interior is pretty cute, so I will give them that. But the feng shui of the inside was not super conducive to holding a large crowd of people. Random smattering of chairs in different heights and sizes, so it can be too small for a large group and too big for a couple. There were two big shows downtown, along with the CWS people in town, so it was crazy down there. We had a reservation, but when we arrived, they sort of looked around to see if there was a seat for us (what was the purpose of the reservation?). They first were going to seat us at a low set of arm chairs with a coffee table between them. Somewhere you'd like to sit and have a drink, not a full meal over a coffee table. So then they sat us at a gigantic eight-person high top table when there were only two of us - pretty awkward. We weren't really acknowledged for the first ten minutes or so, but as I said, they were very busy. Our server was great, though, once he got to us. We decided on a few things to eat as we ordered our drinks, knowing we were on a time crunch before the show. We started with the "Devils in Disguise" deviled eggs, and those came out pretty fast and were tasty, with a nice egg base and a candied type bacon on top. They were not too big of eggs, too, so not the type you have to unhinge your jaw to eat, which I appreciated. After the deviled eggs, everything slowed down immensely. Food was coming out around us, but not ours. Large groups who came after we had been there a while, and had ordered way more than us obviously, were getting their food before us. Entree-wise, my husband wanted to try the Prime Rib, as it was the special of the evening. But our server let him know that it was cooked a little over, but in his opinion was still good, so my husband took a chance. Well, let me tell you, it was NOT good. Very dry and almost inedible. The jus that came with it did help a tad bit, but not really actually. The potatoes that came on the side of it also were literally inedible. Burnt and oily and hard, we couldn't even chew them. I had two of the Bao Buns, the Bao Chika Wowza and the Shrimply Irresistible. They were each pretty good, but a little on the spendy side for how small they were. We let our server know about my husband's prime rib being gross, and they did offer to make him anything else he wanted, but we did not have time to wait any more (since the first things we ordered took forever to come out), so he declined, and they just took it off the bill. The decor is cute and our server was nice and doing everything he could to help the situation, but overall, we left still hungry to our concert and got takeout elsewhere when we got home.
