The parking lot was full but the restaurant was only at half capacity. The crowd broke a bit geriatric at 6:30 in the offseason. We were started off with tasty garlic knots and bruschetta. We drank a perfectly fine carafe of the house Chianti. Four of us split a very good large chopped salad. 3 of us had pasta. My friend and I shared pastas. One was a really good orecchiette with sausages and broccoli rabe. We tried bucatini with clams, pesto, olive oil and garlic. It's an unusual combination. It grew on us over the course of the meal. My wife ordered a frankenpasta by adding an ingredient or two to something on the menu. My buddy barely put a dent in his veal parmigiana. Portions were really big. Our experience shows that restaurants deserve a second chance. We will put Baby Moon into our rotation.

I expect better and high quality for a restaurant in this area of West Hampton especially for Italian food. I had the penne alla vodka and I thought that it was decent but the flavoring was a little weak for vodka sauce and bland I felt. I got bored of eating my meal about half way through. My friend Jack said nothing stood out to him, he also got the vodka pasta. My friend Josh got the Cesar salad with grilled chicken. He thought it was a very tasty salad, good salad dressing and portions, but the croutons were a little burnt, he said. My friend Thomas got the chicken parm for dinner, he said the cheese was very fresh as well as the sauce but the chicken was a little tough. My friend James got the veal Parmesan, he thought it was really good. My friend got the veal piccata he said it was great. My friend Curbs consumed his veal piccata really fast because of how delicious it was to him. My friend Alex got the chicken francese but it took him a while to get it, it was mid for the price but it was good. Overall almost everyone thought the food was decently good. Service: The service was decently fast for everyone except for my food which was a little slower than the rest which was the penne alla vodka and also my friend Alex's food which was the chicken francese. Ambience: quiet warm ambience outside with heaters on a nice windy noon. Nice chill location near a decently busy road.

We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and let our server know we were there for a special occasion. He treated us extremely well, bought my mom a birthday cocktail and dessert, and walked us through the menu to make recommendations on what we definitely had to try as first timers. For appetizers we had local oysters on the half shell which were fresh and delicious, and shrimp cocktail which was sizable. We went with the endive salad in between which was crisp and well balanced, the honey mustard dressing really brings it all together. We also had the baked clams which were cooked perfectly, and burrata which was so, so creamy. For entrees we ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni which I think might be the best I've ever had. The sauce was rich and perfectly spicy. We also had the whole branzino which was excellent, cooked just right. The steak frites were also the right temperature, and the truffle fries hit the spot. We had the chocolate souffle cake for dessert which was rich and decadent. If you're looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion, I would recommend this place.

Entree came out a bit slow but other than that, the service was good and the food was excellent…read more They currently have a pasta happy hour pricing on Wednesdays from 5 to 6. Add burrata to your spicy rigatoni...you won't regret it.

We arrived shortly after 8 pm on Thursday, because some people (not I) had been napping. I thought that we had agreed on pizza, since we had a very late lunch and they claimed to not be hungry. I was thinking they could split a pizza, and I would get a cauliflower crust. This caused some confusion upon entry, with some guy (turned out to be our server) telling us to order at the counter. I wasn't happy about that, but fine. Then son's gf said she wanted to order off the menu. Fine. We were seated at a table, and were served water and warm rolls. I did eat one, because they looked and smelled SO good! Didn't get terrible puffy allergy face the next day. Interesting. Son and gf both had the Thursday seafood specials. This is a soup or salad, seafood entree, coffee or tea, and dessert for $30. Whadda bargain! The salads were nice, and they enjoyed their entrees, but the server forgot the coffee and dessert until reminded. The dessert portions were tiny--little square of cheesecake for my son, one little cannoli for his gf. I had the cauliflower crust pizza with four toppings--extra cheese, mushrooms, pepperoni, and onions. It was good, but the crust at Mary's is better. All in all, a very pleasant dinner. I would return. They do have GF penne, IIRC, and the weeknight specials are a great deal for $30 per person.
