The waitress at this restaurant was the best part of the experience. She was so nice and friendly. I ordered the Tri-tip sandwich and fries. On the plus side they put a good amount of Tri-tip on the sandwich. The fries were hot and Crispy. On the NOT so good side, who ever made our order must really like Season Salt. The sandwich and Fries were loaded with it. made it way too salty. I couldn't enjoy it. My friend and I decided to try firehouse randomly late at night and it was the best decision ever. Even two hours before closing the services was still top notch; wonderful ladies always checked on us every now and then. The food was amazing. Fresh out the kitchen, not greasy, not plain, it satisfied me. I also got their Mermaid Water. Delicious alcoholic beverage as well. We went this past Saturday for a birthday party. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is pretty big inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once you walk in, there are a dozen or so tables. On the left side there is the bar which is pretty long. At the end of the Firehouse there were a few pool tables. And through a door on the right is an arcade and bowling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plus next to the bowling is a door that leads to a place where I guess you can gamble and put bets. I didn't enter that section. Now this birthday was for our 11 year old so my husband and I put in our own order. A server went to where we sat at the bowling section after we went to the bar to order and brought our drinks and food to us. I thought service was great! My drink, the Battalion punch was strong and sweet. Onion rings were crispy and delicious! I loved their ranch. Their cheeseburger sliders were good, not the greatest but good. Looking for a fun place to hangout, watch a game, shoot some pool, heck, even bowl, Firehouse Restaurant and Bowling might be your place. On Monday nights at 6:30, there's a beginner line dance session in the para-mutual betting room. We stopped by early to have dinner. Monday Night Football was on. Some people were watching the game. Some were playing pool. There's also an eight-lane bowling alley and electronic games for the kids. We had the turkey club with a side of fries. Our servers were excellent. They have several beers on tap and a full bar. The food didn't take long to arrive. It's typical pub fair. There's not much to a turkey club, but this was tasty. Served on white bread. The fries seemed a little spicy. I kinda like that. Even after we ate, the servers checked on us while we danced. This place is fun, especially if you have a big group. We visited yesterday to celebrate a member of our group who is leaving for military service, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences we've had.[[HIGHLIGHT]]When we were first seated, our area had not been cleaned from the previous guests, and no one made an effort to take care of it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We asked multiple staff members--including our assigned server--more than five times if we could place an order for food and non-alcoholic drinks. Despite this, over 30 minutes passed without anyone assisting us. During that time, our server continued to attend to guests seated right next to us and even sat down to converse with them multiple times. After waiting over 40 minutes without any service or acknowledgment, we decided to leave and speak with a manager. We were told that the lack of service was due to us "pregaming" in the parking lot. While I understand policies around alcohol, there were other groups doing the same who did not seem to be treated the same way. Regardless, even if drinks were being restricted, that does not justify being completely ignored when we were simply trying to order water, pizza, and wings. At that point, it would have been more appropriate to refuse service upfront rather than allow us to remain seated, unattended, and ultimately waste our time and money. Additionally, no effort was made to offer any form of refund or compensation for the $55 we spent on games, despite the poor experience. Fun! We went here for the first time for a company holiday party in the big room behind the bowling lanes. The food was pretty good (we had steak, salmon, mashed potatoes, and broccoli for dinner, and then later they brought out some pizzas for a snack-- I loved the crispy crust!). Got together with some friends Sunday afternoon for lunch and a little bowling. Making reservations online for bowling was extremely easy. You receive a confirmation by email or cell number. We arrived early for lunch and drinks and were pleased by the size of the portions. Plenty of food to eat for all and everything was hot and tasty. We had plenty to take over to the bowling alley and even home. Now for the service. I'm bummed I didn't get the bartenders name but he was great. Very attentive with the drinks and the food orders. He was not only pulling full duty as the bartender but was also bring out orders to the tables but also clearing off the tables. As busy as he was, I never saw anyone wait for anything. Although the waitresses were busy also, the young lady who took care of us in the bowling area was fantastic! She not only was taking care of any bowling issues, she was on top of taking care of food and drink orders. A couple of friends and I are just now leaving with a less than fun experience. We played a couple games of pool, grabbed some mozzarella sticks, BUT when I paid and signed the waiver to ride their mechanical bull, we were ignored for AT LEAST 15 whole minutes. Our waitress assured us that another lady would come to set us up. 10 minutes passed. That lady walked past us and assured she wasn't ignoring us..... And after 7 more minutes of us sitting in the dark while they worked the bar (not even close to a busy night, I gave up and told the waitress we would just leave. I have passed by this place a lot of times but have not really tried it before. It was Wednesday lunch when we dined in and it was not too bad. There were not too many people when we got in, service was prompt and staff were attentive. They had the Wednesday special which was any kind of pizza for $11 so of course, we had to get that. And being a fan of shrimps and deep fried appetizers, we also got the popcorn shrimp. The appetizer was served first as we requested but it turned out not too appetizing for me. It was kinda dry and you cannot really taste the shrimp in them. The pizza was definitely worth it given the $11 price and I love how it the crust was thin but there are a lot of better pizza that I have tasted. Came here on a weekday and have tried their lunch pizza for 11 dollars. We ordered the supreme pizza, about a medium size, it was worth it for me. The appetizer shrimp popcorn was a big no for me- it was overcooked and more of breading than shrimp. Other than that the service was great and the servers were friendly. I went twice in one month to the southwest location for just bowling. Both times were great, and the staff were accommodating/helpful. The pricing is amazing compared to other places in Bakersfield, so that was a huge plus as well. The first time, a guy on shift thanked us kindly for putting the bowling balls away and said to come back again soon--which, we did! The second visit, we arrived 15-20 minutes late, yet the staff adjusted the time so we could still have our full hour! Amazing time and service (A great date spot). read more

Very nice place. Clean. However. The bowling alley was smaller than anticipated. Lanes are small and pins are on a rope system. Arcade is very small. Lots of pool and bar. Food , we tried the sweet potatoe fries and sampler. Im pretty sure it was all frozen bagged food. It didn't taste fresh or look very appealing. You could tell it was boxed like I said. 3 of us. 1 full bowling game a sampler and a drink. $65 I dont mind spending the $ but I dont feel I got my monies worth here. I came here just to meet up with some friends I haven't seen in a while and decided this will be our place every time i go home to visit. First off the service was grate and Sasha was on it. She never got irritated with our behavior from us being a little "bent" she just kept checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. As I entered the building I was told to empty my pockets of all items, only checking me for weapons, not my wife or my grown adult Children. The rent a cop informed me that it was policy to check from I understand white men only, as I watched numerous people walk in without being searched. When asked to provide documentation of the search the rent a cop could not provide any. Fire house grill is an embarrassment of any business I've ever been to. It was my wife's birthday yesterday and we went in there with two other friends around 8:20 PM. Right off the bat I was not able to take my closed water bottle inside. I was told that no outside drinks were allowed. Upon walking in I noticed that several women had Stanley's in there. We were not greeted by a server. Finally after asking a few times we were told to find a seat and we would be helped. 30 minutes passed and nobody came over to take our order. Our server Sara Killed it!!! We had a party of three but only 2 of us were there. Some places wont seat you until the full party is there but Sara was like follow me. From the house apps to the main nachos we truly enjoyed our time. And when our late third wheel arrived Sara got them caught up to speed with a drink and some food right away. It's a sports bar/games/bowling. It's not meant to be a Michelin Star Restaurant! Some reviews can be harsh for no reason. Best of all was Ivan the bartender/waiter. This guy knocked it out of the park. If I owned a business in Bakersfield, I'd recruit this guy in a heartbeat. Organized, quick, excellent memory retention, and a super positive guy.
