The first sign of a good sandwich is the bread. The bread on the sandwiches at this Firehouse is not good at all. We ordered a turkey sandwich. There was very little meat on the sandwich. A friend was eating a sandwich from Snarfs with me when I was eating the Firehouse. The Snarfs sandwich had almost 3 times as much meat as Firehouse. Meat from Snarfs was far better quality as well. Being a New Yorker with a high bar on sandwiches, I never plan to go to Firehouse ever again. Plenty of other good places in town. read more

My company ordered Lunch from the castle Rock location and it took over 2 hours to get it delivered. Worst part is they are located right across the street. The employees here are some of the rudest I've ever encountered. After buying a $20 sub that was completely inedible for several reasons, I was offered a free meal by the owner. Took me 4 months to go back because the og sub was so bad, but I decided to give them another chance. The guy I ended up speaking to looked really pissed off the whole time we were talking and said he'd only give me a small sub for free. The location is in a plaza with target and music store and Pilates next door. Plenty of parking spots even around lunch time. Considering it was lunch time the line didn't seem too long. That is until after I got my order, it was practically out the door. It's been awhile since I've eaten here. We ordered steak sandwich and turkey sub for the little. The cashier seemed a little rushed or unsure because the manager had come over and help her. I asked her about the reward program and she just passed me a card OK. Don't really feel like downloading an app unless I partake here often. The soda machine was really cool! One of those you see at a movie theater. Also they had the cups set up on the side since corona. There's a patio outside and a few patrons inside eating. I also noticed a tv with cartoons on. All and all I would come back. I have worked in food service my whole life.... This is the worst service I have ever seen before. I love the food at firehouse subs I can't even lie. But the whole entire vibe there is just terrible. everyone working there just seems so down and rude. The vibes of the employees create the whole atmosphere of the restraunt and the employees at firehouse are just not it. Like i'm not sure why but everyone there is just so rude and they take forever to finish orders. I cant even imagine what it's like when they are busy. To say the least, the employees that work at this location need to be trained on how to treat customers. One of the crappier firehouse subs locations I've been to. - Soda was flat - Lettuce was just wilted/slimy/going bad - Asked for mustard but no Mayo and they just didn't put condiments on whatsoever - Asked for peppers to be added and didn't get them. We came a couple weeks ago on a Thursday night and the place was PACKED with every single person waiting on their sandwich. About 20 orders or so. Apparently they had staffed 2 new people and it was SLOOOOW going. We literally waited over an hour for our food. Unacceptable for a fast food place. We've tried going here several times and more often than not the order is incorrect. I did takeout recently and the order was almost 10 minutes past the promised time. When we got home I found my order was incorrect. I asked for an item to be removed (food intolerance) and found it was under the first layer of my salad. I also had the wrong dressing given to me and there was hardly any meat. We love firehouse subs but this location needs serious help and intervention from management. We went last night and there were 6 teenagers behind the counter. I have no problem with it being only teenagers expect for the behaviors and lack of accountability shown amongst them. First we walk in and very inappropriate rap music was playing extremely load across the restaurant. I'm talking sexual discussions, n word, and profanity every other word. We had our young child with us. The employees were dancing behind the counter and one greeted us with "sup". We go to sit down and the floors, tables, and chairs and filthy. We grabbed a highchair for my child and it is sticky beyond belief. We were 1/2 customer there and yet none of the 6 employees were cleaning. Another customer walked in and while ordering the employee challenged him to a rap battle.... Upon "winning" the employees gave him multiple free sodas and chips. When not rapping you could find all 6 employees going in to the back for extended periods of time. One employee seemed to be on her break and was eating in the dinning room just a few tables from us. Another employee came out and said to her that the other employees want them to hook up. This location needs management to step in. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We have noticed that the quality and service has been going down greatly but just thought it was due to the hardships of the pandemic. We have been loyal customers and continued to go regardless. Tonight we walked in to get a take out order and before even getting through the door we were being "barked at" by the man behind the counter. "Are you placing or picking up?!" No good evening. No welcome to firehouse. This took me off guard and I stated that I was placing. I was then told that they were closed. Two hours before the posted hours stated they were to close. Tables with people sitting at them. Lights on. I must have looked confused because then he walked over closer to my husband and I and said that he is the general manager and he just made an "executive decision" to close the restaurant at the very moment we walked in. His co worker stayed quiet but looked surprised. My husband and I looked at each other as he was still now with a raised voice, telling g is that he was closed. We never said a word other than "placing an order." He was arguing only we never spoke. It was a very strange experience. We left of course and decided to go to Jersey Mike's. We will not be supporting FireHouse anymore. I understand being short staffed. Or being stressed. But I do not understand how this situation was handled. Very unprofessional. As we were walking out the door he yelled out, "I'd rather give no service than bad service." Well Sir...your angry, defensive, argumentative, unprofessional, attack on repeat customers most certainly WAS bad service. A simple apology and explanation or sign in the door would have been enough. No need to attack customers verbally who just want to enjoy a dinner out on a Friday night. read more

This place was busy. There were four people working it took 15 minutes to get sandwiches. When we got our sandwiches it have mayonnaise are supposed to be no mayo. Sent it back the remade it before the meat off the mayo sandwich and put it on the sandwich with no mayo. So therefore the sandwiches or no mayo still got me Mayo because they were too lazy too cheap to make it the right way. I have to say I like the food here but am terribly disappointed in the wait time to get a sandwich, also the place is not well configured for long lines, if the goal is to have several customers, then the layout misses the mark. The first time I tried Firehouse was in Melbourne FL and they rocked it. Barely any wait time and they were packed. I give four stars for the food and friendliness of the staff but I take one star away for wait time and for botched orders. I've visited the Castle Rock Location a half dozen times. When the store first opened, the food was good. After that, the food has been marginal at best. Not thoroughly heated through, extremely sloppy sandwich assembly and most recently, BBQ sauce ALL OVER the sandwich making eating it with my hands an utter mess. It's like the staff just doesn't care. To top it off, I now have slight food poisoning from the sandwich I ate today - all the typical symptoms exist - I don't need to go into the grossness of it all. Something in my sandwich was spoiled for sure. I really wonder how they keep the food sanitary at this location. One strike, two strikes, three and your out.
