I've had good experiences at this Firehouse Subs for lunch. If you become a rewards member and download the app, you can earn free subs and sides. You also receive a free sub for your birthday, which is a nice perk that you have about a week to use. As a chain, Firehouse Subs is very meat-focused, and my husband always goes for the Hook and Ladder. I am pescatarian but not a huge fan of their tuna salad, so I go with the veggie. I'm not sure if the veggie is on the menu board, but if you ask, the employees will make it for you, and it's certainly available on the app. The veggies (peppers, onions, and mushrooms) are grilled, the bread is warm and toasty, and you can add lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, and condiments. The Captain Sorenson's hot sauce is always delicious, and you can even buy a bottle of it. My last order on the app was correct, available at the promised time, and I liked that the employees keep the online orders behind the counter so no one can grab my order. The sub has veggies and cheese in every bite and is a solid lunch. I'd never been to a Firehouse Subs before despite the fact they seem to be everywhere! Honestly, it is a standard sub shop filling in the gap that Quiznos once had with an array of hot subs. That is their default - you can ask for it not to be toasted or warm but it has to be a request much like a customer ahead of me discovered. The restaurant itself reminded me of a typical sub shop feel, just firehouse themed. The golden ax mounted on the wall for an award was the most unique award I have seen for a restaurant and a nice touch. The workers were very straight and to the point with a wicked dry sense of humor that got me chuckling. The subs themselves were solid. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak - or their version of it - and it was good. I wouldn't necessarily seek them out or make them my first choice if it was between them and another popular sub shop but I am glad I was able to try! read more

I hadn't been to a firehouse in forever, but I was craving a meatball sub and they happen to be located two doors down from my Physical Therapy office. It was just before lunch time so they were pretty busy when I came in. I placed my order pretty quickly but had a solid 15-20 minute wait for my sandwich. They were working hard, but there were just a lot of people in there. I took it home and dove in right away. I have to say the sub was just as good as I recall having it in the past. During my visit to this location today I experienced several points of concern... 1. The staff were VERY unhygienic in their appearance and association with the food. I even watched one of the employees running her fingers through her hair from the top to the bottom. She is the same woman who is responsible for making the sandwiches. 2. Lack of hand washing/gloves. I noticed on more than one occasion the staff doing things that should follow with washing their hands. 3. Hair. The hair of the employees making the sandwiches should be kept neatly pulled back and in a hair net. I did not see any of the staff with hair nets on. 4. Service. I work at a company where hospitality is taken very seriously. During our experience we placed a simple order and gave detailed instructions about what we wanted. We even repeated the order a second time to ensure clarity. Even after following these steps we still were left with a sandwich in the wrong size and made incorrectly. Instead of apologizing and offering an alternative solution the manager seemed to clearly blame us for the incorrect order. This was a VERY disappointing experience that has ensured I will never return here again! read more

Visited this location on Friday evening for dinner with my husband. I appreciated the cleanliness of this location and the food was great, but the service, not so much. We walked in and were able to go straight to the counter to order. We were not greeted and the employee had on of her arms in her shirt and was very hard to understand with her mask on and the plastic covering between us. She barely spoke to us and you could tell, she did not want to be there. We were the only ones in there when we sat down. It was strange we waited twenty minutes to get our food. We went to get our drinks and ther was no ice. I apprached the employee we ordered from and she was leaning up againist the register and said she would get someone to get ice. The sub was great, but customer service goes a long way. I heard the manager after people started coming in and he started taking orders and was on top of it and so nice. I told my husband it would of been nice to have him as our cashier. He did come over to our table to thank us for choosing them and asked if we needed anything. A bit different setup from other locations, at this one you walk to the back to order. Took me a second to figure it out (I'm slow sometimes) but when I got there they just chatted for a while. Weird. They did have an entertaining conversation about typing speeds, but alas, I just wanted a sandwich. I was also a bit disappointed y the lack of a military discount, as usually Firehouse locations have this. My fav is the Steak & Cheese sub with onions and sweet peppers, to which I add their house-made datil pepper sauce. Food made fresh and delivered to your table fast. This location was clean and the employees friendly. The manager, maybe the owner, has a good sense of humor and ensures his customers are taken care of. The size of the drink cups with the combo are smaller than they used to be. At $10 for a medium sub, chips and drink combo, maybe slightly overpriced for a quick lunch on a regular basis. Firehouse is usually very slow and the register is usually a pain point - either the person is new or they are short staffed and you are left waiting. I love Firehouse subs but this location is not the one. Overall the store is very unsanitary, as are some of the employees. As I was waiting to order my food I witnessed an employee wipe the sweat on his forehead off with his gloved hand and then continued making the sandwich with the sweaty glove. I about threw up. Workers rolling their eyes at customers and talking badly about them while working for the whole store to hear. I love Firehouse Subs. Not only do they make a great hot sandwich but a share of the proceeds go to a great cause, aiding first responders. As both a former firefighter and current paramedic I stand by them. As for the sandwiches, I've only had the smokehouse sandwich. It's a wonderful sandwich with BBQ brisket and cheddar cheese. It's so good that I've never wanted to try anything else however my comrades will state that the other subs are equally as good. The only thing that makes it better is the large variety of hot sauces available from various companies to use to compliment your food at your choosing. read more

I went to this location last week, on or about October 18th, to pick up a to go order. After arriving home I realized that the order was not correctly made. I admit I feel foolish for not having checked the order before leaving the restaurant. Since I was somewhat in a hurry, I did not think of doing so. I called the manager to inform them that my sandwich was not correctly made. Without a beat, he offered to make another one free of charge. The next day the manager made the sandwich himself and deeply apologized for the mix up. It is this customer service satisfaction and making things right that will make me come back to this location when wanting one of their delicious sandwiches. Friendly, but understaffed, undertrained, messy, and unsanitary. The toaster was so jammed up that bread starting burning under elements, and the bread that was used to make our sandwiches had been laying on the toaster for much longer than 10-15 minutes. Each employee stares at each ticket and more often than not had a perplexed look on their face. When we opened our sandwiches, the meats were still flat stacked and watery, no one had taken the time to properly fold the meat onto the sandwiches. Sauces were erratically applied as well. Horrible horrible experience! Not only did we find a long piece of hair weaved into our cheese on our sub but the staff (including management) brushed it off like it wasn't a big deal. Never offered a refund and wasted $26. Who'd want another sub from you after finding hair in it? We walked over to (Alo cafè) and bought food we could actually eat! I'd never come back here again and I don't recommend it! However, Alo cafe was amazing with superb customer service. Trust me start there first. The only thing that went wrong on our vacation. This was my first visit to Firehouse subs. I decided to go with the Italian and get a combo meal. This location has a Freestyle Coke machine and I was going to take the time to make some fancy combo but instead opted to try the Firehouse Cherry Limeade. Have to say the drink was disappointing but the sandwich was pretty delicious. The other person I was getting carry out with had good delay in getting their sandwich so can't give 4 stars. read more
