When I entered the restaurant to pick up my online order, I was not greeted or acknowledged. The young man working at the front counter was on his cell phone and appeared to be paying little attention to customers. I stood there waiting until he eventually asked, "Is it pickup or an order?" I explained that I was there to pick up an online order. He then walked over to the food rack, brought my order to the counter, literally dropped it on the counter, and immediately walked away and returned to using his cell phone. There was no greeting, no "thank you," and no effort to provide even basic customer service. Unfortunately, the experience became even more concerning once I arrived home. I discovered that several of the condiments and toppings I specifically ordered were missing from my sandwich. Even more troubling, there was a grayish-black substance or "gunk" on the sandwich that did not appear to be a normal food ingredient. This was extremely disturbing and raised serious concerns about the food-preparation and sanitation practices at this location. I also left the restaurant feeling that I may have been treated differently because of my race. I cannot know the employee's intentions, but the manner in which I was treated made me feel disrespected, unwelcome, and singled out. I believe this concern should be taken seriously and investigated. I will be returning to the restaurant to speak with a manager in person regarding this incident. I am also specifically asking Corporate to review the security-camera footage from approximately 9:15 PM - 9:45 PM on August 25, 2026. The cameras should provide an objective record of my arrival, how long I was left waiting, the employee's conduct while I was at the counter, and how my order was handled. I am requesting that Firehouse Subs investigate the following: - The employee's conduct and lack of basic customer service. - The apparent use of a cell phone while customers were waiting for assistance. - The manner in which my order was handled and placed on the counter. - The missing toppings and condiments from my order. - The unidentified grayish-black substance found on my sandwich. - The food-preparation and sanitation practices at this location. - My concern that I may have been treated differently because of my race. - The security-camera footage from the time of my visit. This experience has seriously affected my confidence in this location and in the quality of service I should expect from the Firehouse Subs brand. We were excited when they opened this location close to us as we've eaten their food in other locations. By joining their rewards program online, we got an offer to BOGO if we ordered on their app. I would rather order in person, so I can ask specific questions, but we did the best we could. The order was ready and waiting when we got there. The restaurant looked clean and organized and the workers were friendly. The food was good, but we weren't wowed by it. We both ordered a few extras on our sandwiches and discovered we didn't get all of those. We weren't going to go back just to pick up some pickle spears and caramelized onions, but we wish they'd paid closer attention to our order. read more

This is my favorite place to get a gluten free sandwich. Every sandwich I've had in the past month has been perfect and exactly what I asked for. It's also very easy to order it dairy free here which I appreciate. The quality of the meat is better than most sandwich spots. read more

I'll be honest, FHS isn't among my top, fast sub joints but their app/membership consistently cranks out decent promos from 25% off to bogos. So, for that occasional impulse or no-time-for-lunch situation, it can be clutch. I prefer hot subs and FHS has three that are "ok": Hook and Ladder (ham/turkey); Meatball; and toasted Italian. I've enjoyed the Italian and hook/ladder. Unfortunately, the meatballs neither look nor taste very wholesome (like highly processed "meat parts") which is disappointing as that is one of my favorite types. The app is easy to navigate, the subs are easy to customize, and they're typically ready in about 12-15 minutes (slightly longer than average). Drinks are self-serve from their 30-flavor kiosk dispenser which includes every type of soda as well as juices. The restaurant (and restrooms) are generally clean; staff is always polite and sometimes even engaging; and parking is easy/free in their strip mall lot. read more

I was originally excited that a Firehouse Subs finally opened on the east side. Well my excitement quickly grew to disappoint. From super soggy bread to being out of anything from cup lids and chips to various meats for sandwiches. The dining room was filthy not just dirty but filthy and the staff didn't care one bit. Save yourself the trouble of visiting this location and head to the one off Orange Grove and River, that place is always clean with a super friendly staff. Do better East side do better. read more

I've ordered from Firehouse several times via DoorDash and the last two times I've ordered they've cancelled my order. I placed an order on DoorDash tonight and paid $70.00 for it. I received a call from Firehouse subs saying that they only received $10 of it. I sent a screenshot showing what I'd been charged (DoorDash doesn't place orders without it being fully paid) and she told me she called the district manager and said they couldn't give out food for free.. it wasn't free.. so I had to call DoorDash myself to cancel it. They could have called DoorDash to figure it out but they let me do it. What really doesn't make sense is that they made the food so it went to waste, my DoorDasher was sitting there waiting the whole time and he did not get paid for it. So the food went to waste, a persons time was wasted and they could have figured it out after the fact but they insisted I call them to figure it out. They shouldn't be offering DoorDash if they can't figure it out because I've never had this problem with any other restaurant. read more

My husband and I ate at Firehouse subs today and unfortunately we were very disappointed. We ordered 2 sandwiches to go. There were a few people that ordered ahead of us. It was taking a long time for the orders. After 25 minutes of waiting my husband and I were wondering why it was taking so long for 2 sandwiches to be made. We seen that the people that came in after us got their order before we got ours. At that point we had been waiting for 30 minutes. My husband went up to the counter to ask how much longer it was going to take. At that point they made our order in less than 3 minutes. The food was good but we will not be going back. If my husband hadn't gone up to ask, who knows how much longer it would have been. read more
