Prices are high for the quality of food. Ordered zesty garlic wings, which were plain, not tossed in garlic sauce and overcooked. The sauce that accompanied the wings had too much cayenne and hardly a hint of garlic. Took my breath away at the first bite. Brought most of the order home. Gave half of them to the wife. She was not impressed. Had some garlic dressing in the fridge so added my own sauce. Also the ranch dressing they supplied was so thin and watery it barely coated a wing. My son ordered a pizza. He said it was ok, a little burnt but edible. They did provide a nice box for the rest of the pizza to take home. Nice enough furnishings, seemed clean. We went on a Sunday afternoon. Most of the patrons were older, late 60's and older. So not too rowdy. lol The only exciting area was the patio, where a couple of dogs were running around, jumping on tables and frolicking about. Did not try the buffet. Not at that price. Too much for my modest budget. If we do return to try another choice on the menu, I will bring along my puppy, and sit out on the patio. Will have to check the menu to see if they have any canine safe treats. That could open a whole new business for them, pet friendly appetizers. read more

Food was alright so they get two stars, but I just sat through the worst service I've ever experienced. 2.5 hours between arrival and being able to eat, after reminding our waitress multiple times of our orders. Meh. Purchased the pick two (1/4 rack and brisket) cole slaw and steamed broccoli to go. The good: brisket was tender and fatty. The ribs also tender. Certainly wasnt smoky and sauce was good. The bad: cole slaw was virtually flavorless and one of the broccoli trees was black from age, which speaks to poor quality control or just didnt care. Felt the serving size to cost ratio was a bit amiss also. I looked at the brunch and that looked pretty good. Overall, unless you have a true hankerin for bbq and are unwilling to invest time, then Firepit will fill most your bill. read more

After reading the poor reviews for the Firepit I kept ow expectations and ended up being pleasantly surprised. I will say it is in I strip type mall and that usually turns me off. But the inside is decorated very nicely and it is clean. The patio is great! We sat outside on the patio and there is shade so you're not sweating. Food: We had the flaming cheese appetizer (good), grilled chicken sandwich (great- very good grilled flavor) and the bacon cheeseburger (delicious- buttery toasted bun made it amazing) fries (good). Service: We arrived when it first opened so they weren't busy but we had great, friendly service Price: Reasonable Drinks: Beer, wine, cocktails ( we didn't drink because my wife is preggo and I made a deal not to drink when she can't. We did not have any of the service problems I have seen in other reviews. Alissa was very good. Come between 4-6 for half price domestic drafts. Yuengling and Labatt's Blue count as domestic! I have gone here many times and have always enjoyed it. Margherita pizza is my favorite. Food is good as well as the service.

We had a business meeting with 20 people yesterday in their new poker room that included lunch. We chose a limited menu. Manager Amanda could not have been more gracious in making sure they understood the details of our plans. Josh was our server and he was terrific. The service was prompt and non-intrusive during our presentation. Timing was excellent. Great food comments from the attendees. A couple of people commented on how clean the restaurant is. HORRIBLE customer service A group of friends and I visited on a Sunday. Never refilled drinks she could not figure out how to give us a bill we asked for a manager several times and no one helped us It took an hour to get a bill!! The "ceo" didn't offer any compensation for the bad service except a weak apology and then harassed me about not tipping the waitress and accusing others in my party of not paying their bill !! We've been here several times for both brunch and dinner. Being from out of town its nice to find a non-chain restaurant in Toledo that has a good selection of food. Pizza is generally what we order but they have plenty of other options. I encourage people to check out their brunch. They have all the classic breakfast dishes, along with an omelet bar and 2-3 varieties from a meat cutting station. My friends and family also reserved the "fire pit area" to watch a football game. They had plenty of tv's outside (covered & heated) to accommodate all of our guests. The service for this party was hands down the best I've had at any restaurant function. We had one server for the entire party and by the end of the game she knew just about every guest by name. Disappointed. If you are here for BBQ, stay home. The BBQ sauce good, (Honey based) and it is a good thing it is, because the brisket is dry. The chicken was the only item that tasted slightly smokey. The ribs were tender but with little flavor. Corn muffins sweet and tasty but with butter that had been pre-portioned and tasted like stale refrigerator as did the Cole slaw. The bar food fared much better and their battered onion rings were perfect. Cooked golden brown, sweet and not greasey. The Cilantro Bloody Mary was to die for. Was at the FirePit on Monday for a late lunch. Mediocre service at the inside bar. The outside bar is better if Clint or Devin are working. Otherwise spotty service at best. Food is OK, typical bar food. On this day I got up to use the restroom and near the front door slipped on something and dropped onto my knee. Ended up with a fractured patella. Painted cement floor with NO SLIP RESISTANCE AT ALL! Bad combination. The help immediately blamed my shoes, which were flats with rubber soles so that was clearly NOT THE ISSUE. The floor is slippery, PERIOD. The staff rushed us out and of course handed us our bill on the way out, nice touch huh? Called the manager Jeff a few days later and he was rude and in denial of any accountability. After speaking with him it's easy to understand why the high service turnover and frankly mediocre service. If he treats his employees with the same disdain that he treated me then why would anyone want to work there. We won't be back and will tell all of our friends and acquaintances about our experience. Too bad, great location and concept. Clearly a case study in poor management. Now I understand why others on yelp have wished they could rate a zero stars, this is the first time I wish I could rate a ZERO. read more

Our order wasn't right when on the menu it gives 1 side dish you actually get 2. They picked 1 for us. And there isn't a spot on the menu which list the sides at all. The best part of the meal was the pretzel app, but the cheese tasted old, gritty and reheated. Also, it was half off apps. So i ordered the pretzel. When the check came the waitress split the app in half with my guest, in which the app cant be half off if she split it. I immediately had her correct the bills. I thought that was a bit crooked and a clever way "around" the half off app's. read more

Visited for the first time late on a Friday night. Absolutely average and doubtful to return. We sat at the bar and the overall service was poor. We ordered the Shrimp appetizer, the Bostonians and it was really good. However when the speciality fire chunks were served, they were terrible. We ordered medium sauce and got something that didn't seen to have any sauce. We sent them back and switched to hot sauce. There was nothing even close to a ting of heat. The chicken chunks are a large portion of them menu and the kitchen needs to work on their recipe... nowhere near the ballpark of Jeds or Buffalo Wild Wings. The Reuben and fries were good. My husband and I went there twice. The first time was horrible, and I won't be getting into that disaster. Because it was a newer restaurant, we gave it one more shot. It was decently busy and the girl standing at the front said that tables were being reserved for a group but that the bar was available. So my husband and I took some seats in the bar at high tables. Firstly, they didn't seem sturdy. In fact, we moved to a different table because we thought the top was going to fall off. Our server, who was from somewhere in the South, was annoying. I'm in my 40s and I don't need someone younger than me calling me "Hon" or "Sweetie". She seemed to have no care for her personal appearance. One of the customers sitting next to us said they were worried that her hair was going to fall in their food. She was less than hospitable. The attitude, body language and the rolling of the eyes almost made us not leave a tip. I won't leave her name here but I'm sure the owners know who I am speaking of. It took about 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. My husband had the Great Lakes special, which he was told was a dark Guinness-like beer, and I had a margarita with salt. His beer turned out to be cinnamon/nutmeg ale with a cinnamon and sugar rimmed glass. He switched it for actual Guinness later. My margarita was served without salt. Rather than wait for her to correct it, I just used the salt shaker at the table. As a side note at this point, the restaurant should have the servers and bartenders clean the salt and pepper shakers. They had bits of food sticking to the sides of them, old dusty parts of salt and pepper on top and the stands were dusty. There was food under the table, french fries and lettuce. There were napkins shoved under a table to sturdy it. We ordered the chicken chunks as an appetizer. My husband ordered it with the Pit BBQ sauce, ranch dressing and carrots. When they came out, they were cold, tough, and the wrong sauce. A different server was passing through and we called their attention since we couldn't find ours. The replacement chicken chunks came out super fast and hot. Then we realized why. They have been tossed in the BBQ sauce and then microwaved. The batter on the chucks was now soggy and they were so dry. There was a group at the bar rail who seemed to command everyone's attention. Every server kept going up there to ask questions. We thought they were regulars but the one helpful server said that it was the owners and managers. The one guy was being an ass, loud and obnoxious and kept getting louder. Other people sitting near us were also annoyed at this behavior. After 45 minutes of completing our appetizer and still not having ordered our entrees because our server was M.I.A. we decided enough was enough. My husband went up to the bartenders to get a manager to pay for our meal. They then tried to charge us for another table's food instead of ours. Our server finally came back from wherever she disappeared to. She smelled like cigarette smoke. We will not be coming back and we will be sure to let others know about this horrible experience. Ordered their Bacon Burger to-go for lunch today and it was great! One of the better burgers I've had in recent years and they actually cooked it to the temperature I requested. So many places ask you how you like your burger and then just cook it medium-well anyway. The girl that cashed me out was super friendly and attentive. Good food. Husband loved the street tacos. I got the southwest salad which was good. I needed to ask for a plate so I could mix and cut the salad since it was crammed into a small bowl. Ask for dill pickles and coleslaw to top the salad and skip the ranch. We liked it but were not overly impressed. Ordered hot chocolate with whipped topping and got a cup of hot water with a nestle packet. No whipped cream.
