Working with Brenton Wahl was easy as he could not do enough to answer all our questions and give advice. Josh Bradly was the service technician who installed our vent free fireplace insert. He and his assistant were on time, neat , very knowledgeable and friendly. We felt we were in good hands because of his m any years of experience working in this field. We have now been using our G19A Foothill Oak Log set for a week, and found that it has done everything promised by the Fireplace Shoppe. We highly recommend this business. Paul &Barb

Our new set is slightly smaller and fits our space better. After searching all the big box stores (WM, L, HD) and club stores we could not find anything as nice or at a reasonable price. So we purchased another solid decorative metal table and chairs from Hanamint. The sales person (Melinda T) was outstanding at helping us. She asked all the right questions and was never pushy. While expensive, we bought on sale so the price beat anything comparable in the market. I highly recommend Watson's (and Melinda). If you're looking for outdoor furniture in Kalamazoo be sure to check them out.

They are slightly more expensive than a big box, but the convenience of them outweighs the long trip into town. The staff is typically friendly, but occasionally, there is a crabby old guy that seems to have better things to do than help you find that elusive part. I will always come here though, because I support small business!

She showed me around a bit went over everything extremely well and in great detail we were able to chat about alot of different things it was just so great and comforting how friendly she was and how at ease she made me feel. Almost like we were friends shopping for furniture together! I definitely recommend coming to this location and seeing Claudia if you need anything for your home! Update 10/15/17: Over the summer, my husband and I ordered doors for our home. When we got them…read moreinstalled, our contractor told us our custom closet door was not made correctly, this doesn't close well. We've contacted HP customer service multiple times and have walked in to talk to them. We've sent emails or pictures and measurements to show proof it's a manufacturing problem and not an installation problem. We have YET to hear from HP. It's already been 2 months since HP said they will fix our problem. I'm losing faith with the portage staff of Hp since our experience with the staff is getting worse every time we walk through their doors. Furthermore, we found out the lady we enjoyed working with to order our doors quit her job when we asked for her help. Of the three big corporate home improvement companies in the Kalamazoo area, I vote The Home Depot to be the best one to go for your home improvement needs. Even though I like Lowe's design styles better, HD overall has the best customer service. I've bought my carpet and carpet installation from HP. Both flooring associates and the carpet installers were friendly and professional. Be prepared and expect delays on getting carpet installed. We set a date back in June 2017 and had to reschedule the install twice, and finally got the carpet installed in August 2017. After the carpet installers left, I asked them to leave us the left over carpet. What I found was a large clear bag full of the new carpet with trash and dirt mixed inside. It was disappointing to see all the extra carpet gone to waste. Furthermore, when I was reassessing my furniture, I noticed the installers broke my desk, which cannot stand up on it's own because one of the legs was broken from the moving furniture. Also I've ordered custom made doors. Buyers beware on which associate you work with. Make sure you ask for an associate that KNOWS and understand doors. We first had an associate that knows how to order materials online but didn't have the expertise in doors. This resulted in us returning half of our doors back because they were built wrong. HD customer service was very helpful in fixing our issues. Additionally, I got help from the kitchen design people to help me order two cabinet doors. They were very helpful and even called me at home to confirm sizes and to order online so I didn't have to drive back to the store. I would recommend this place because of the overall quality of the customer service in multiple departments, especially if you are looking to ordering/updating/installing anything in your home. The installers could do a better job in being more careful with customer's property and discuss how to move things around so furniture doesn't get damaged.

They could have cared less that their equipment was broken and still charged me $285. Do not waste your money! They also do not care about safety as their trailers don't have working lights.

When I originally called to schedule an appointment, they spent a great deal of extra time on the phone walking me through some steps of doing an initial check of my chimney and what to look out for to minimize risk of fire/CO exposure. They did not have to do this, but went way out of their way to spend this extra time with me and lend a hand. Scheduling was easy and efficient, and they use Square app to confirm, track, and enable notifications for the appointment. During the inspection/cleaning, they were very friendly, transparent, communicative, and efficient. They prepped the work area which was then spotless upon completion as if they were never even there. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable. I had great conversations with the two sons during the appointment, and they took extra time to answer my questions and to walk through safety and operational concerns I had. Overall, this was an excellent experience and I'll be recommending Family Chimney Sweeps to everyone going forward. Great job!

They came to the house and worked with me to get the roof done right away . In the end they were able to do the whole roof including replacing some boards as well . They were so easy and great to work with. I got a fantastic price and so I hired them to do the job. I have never regretted hiring them to do the job and they also took the time to completely replace all the gutters too. I recently was told by another company that I was in need of a new roof and probably some boards too. The guy said that I had black mold in my attic as well. The guy was from Top Home Improvements. I had went to the Senior Expo a couple of weeks ago and they had a both there so I signed up to get a quote and roof inspection. I would never ever use that company to do anything on my house ever! The guy outright lied to me and the pictures he said that he showed me indicating that I definitely needed to get my roof replaced and have some other repairs too. In the end I showed everything to the guy from Lysters and he pointed out to me that the first pictures he had taken were of my house but the pictures he showed me of what was supposedly my with damaged shingles and supposedly some soft spots in the roof. Indicating that I also needed some boards replaced too. In the end the guy from Lysters went up on my roof and looked it completely over then said to me your roof is in great shape and he also told me that if I had a leak in the roof causing black mold to grow in there then the water leak would also have gone down to the main level of the house and I would have water spots showing up. I have no water spots anywhere in the upstairs of my home. Once again just proving that I was actually lied to. The great news was I not only didn't need a new roof at all and the one I have now is going to be fine for at least another 10 to probably 15 years. I felt so relieved because the quote from Top Home Improvement was for just under $35,000.00 ! I can assure you that if I ever need work done on my home I will never call anyone but Lyster's to do the job. As for Top Home Improvement I would never use them for any job. I'm just so angry that they outright lied to me and almost cost me a substantial amount of money that was never necessary to spend whatsoever. I guess I would say buyer beware of who you call to do important work on your home. By not getting a second opinion I would have spent a huge amount of money that wasn't really necessary at all. I have also learned that from now on before I hire any company to do work on my home I'll definitely be checking with the Better Business Bureau too. They collect information about all kinds of companies and post the reviews of what other people have had to say about the company.
