    Couches, fireplace, and free wifi.

I think for the convenience factor it works. It has enough of a selection that you'll find what you need. Yes, prices are high but at least they have free wifi and a couch to sit on while you rest and get your barings. They also have those O2 canisters if you feel you need one to acclimate to the elevation. Also, buy and wear sunscreen. And wear sunglasses. The sun is strong out here.

Great prices on our first visit to this upscale grocery in Winter Park, CO! And did you notice I said "grocery store in Winter Park", hurray! There is a food court and coffee bar with dining seating and comfy leather couches next to a cozy fireplace! Comfy leather couches with 3 TV's!! I forgot to ask if they wake us if we fall asleep there after skiing---they are open until 9 pm. They have a souvenir section as well as a seasonal section (right now they have Winter items like sleds, shovels, etc.) Their meats are great quality, even had a whole beef tenderloin in the case today, some great seafood choices as well! My favorite is the salad bar where we can make a big salad without having to buy individual ingredients during our weekends up here!! They also had three ready made soups today with room for 5 total. Check it out! And check out my pictures! Fancy, Winter Park!!

Great new store for those of us loving to visit Winter Park!!!! It's very beautiful inside and on the outside (see attached photos during its construction this fall). Its high end architecture with huge sunlit windows, tall ceilings and remarkable lounge & dining area make it more than just a food store, but a place to enjoy and relax. Fresh Cranberry Walnut Bread in the bakery, versatile selection of healthy food products in all departments priced quite reasonably. Food Court has tasty Turkey/Potato/Veggies soup I never had in any other store. Fish of excellent quality. Very glad they don't carry alcohol (there's plenty of it elsewhere in town). Personnel is genuinely friendly, music and TVs aren't distracting and loud. Easy convenient plaza parking, plus underground parking well needed on heavy snow days!

Friday went to get chicken no fresh bone in skin on and only one chicken Brest. Needs to have better stock management!

I have never seen so much sauce in my life, it was inedible. The stir fry must be taken off the menu. This meal was $25 down the drain.

Nice store with descent offerings but very high prices. Even for a mountain grocery store.

The layout of this bakery is super-tight for one (NOT comfy!), and the bakery selection is quite small. For some reason, I remember the selection being much bigger in the past. I've been to so many bigger-better bakeries in the past decade, this one was just a huge let-down. In any case, I just tried their Ham & Cheese Crepe, with a Latte w/ Cream. Well, again, so disappointing! The Ham & Cheese Crepe was just SO basic (no fruits, no whipped cream, nothing!). Also, it was poorly made...with the cheese only in the middle section. I thought I misordered! The taste was also BLAH...I kept thinking, this CAN'T be the same bakery I visited years ago, is it??? Also, the presentation (if you can even call it that!) was beyond bad. The crepe and the latte was delivered in cheap paper...not even a logo. OMG...basically a dive in terms of a bakery. I'm kinda amazed at the high ratings here. I mean, really?!? Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning here on my future trips.

We ordered two different kinds of sandwiches, and both were absolutely phenomenal. The flavor was completely on point, everything was so fresh, and they make it right in front of you. The deli is run by a super cute couple, and you can tell how much care they put into their business. We happened to visit during the shoulder season, so luckily the line wasn't very long. However, I've heard from others that this place is super popular, and during the peak summer season, there is usually a line waiting right out the door, and after eating here, I can totally see why! In fact, we loved it so much that we tried to go back the very next day, but unfortunately, they were closed (they are closed two days of the week, so be sure to check their hours!). I highly recommend stopping by Scratch Deli and Bakery. It is a must-visit spot, and we will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

All of their meats are cured in house and served on their fresh baked bread each day. They are vegetarian friendly and offer vegan and gluten free options. They also offer breakfast items like burritos. Be aware their sandwiches are loaded with ingredients and big. I could only eat half of my sandwich. I do appreciate the size though as you never know how hungry you are going to be after a long hike especially in this altitude. We went with the turkey sandwich and added cheese, all kinds of toppings and a spread. These sandwiches were very tasty and all the veggies on the sandwich were so fresh. Their baked goods looked so inviting especially the cinnamon rolls. I will have to come back! Service was efficient and helpful. Parking can be a bit of a challenge when they are busy. It was the perfect stop before entering the park!
