Wife had a blow-out on Wed evening. Was able to schedule an appointment online for Thursday morning. Talked to the guy about best options for my car, and after agreeing on a pair of tires, learned they had to be ordered from a different store. No worries, will be there by end of day, can put on the car Friday morning. Arrive Friday, tires are there, everyone is friendly and helpful, and my car was good to go in an hour (they were a bit on the busy side). Topped off my fluids, checked the air pressure in all the tires, inc the donut that was on the car when I brought it in. At checkout, no hidden fees or switcheroos - I paid exactly what I was quoted the day before. Everyone was helpful, friendly, efficient, and worked cleanly. I've had terrible service at tire centers in the past, and was mentally ready to "do battle", but everything went like clockwork. I honestly cannot think of a single thing to be critical of, which is a great thing when it comes to a business working on your car. Highly recommend this shop for tires. read more

I needed a tire for a singular wheel and Ashley said bring it by, I got there and the customer service was amazing the other technicians were busy so Ashley took initiative and changed my tire in 10 minutes, I will definitely be coming here again because of how great the customer service was read more

Went in for an oil change. Whoever sat inside my car decided it was a nice time to lean my seat back all the way and broke it. When I tried to put it back all the way it did not sit upright. I was in a rush and I had to go somewhere after getting the car. It's been a while now and I honestly gave up bc it's still adjustable, but it will go back up to. 90 degree angle anymore. They atleast managed to do an oil change correctly. But they ended up costing me more damage than what I went in for. I live close by so I went here for everything. They completely lost my trust and my business. read more

UPDATE: Very soon after I posted my initial review, the Manager - Robert, not only personally apologized for the delay, he also gave me a very handsome (~20%) discount on my total bill and got my car worked on by TWO technicians as soon as the tires arrived (which he went and picked up in person from East San Jose).. Also a big shout out to Ashley who handled my frustration with patience and aplomb while providing great customer service ============================================= I have been loyal Firestone customer for over a decade now - and this is the LAST TIME EVER I will do business with them. I called last Friday (12/5) and made an appointment for today (12/9) to change the two front tires on my BMW. I dropped the car off at the appointment time, agreed to the nearly $1k estimate and was assured my car would be ready "in an hour or two". FOUR hours later and I'm still waiting for them to "get" my tires. I had the same experience three years ago (hence I made the appointment 4 DAYS IN ADVANCE). Worst of all, they KNEW they didn't have my tires when checking me in this morning but did not bother to inform me until AFTER they put the car on the lift and took the old tires off the rims. They certainly make sure you are getting a great deal along with best service in the area. The location is also great as its downtown and lots of little places to walk around and do while waiting. This location is pretty unreliable when it comes to making an appointment. This is the second attempt I've tried to have an alignment done. The first attempt was using Firestone stupid online appointment request, which was immediately rescheduled a month away. Second attempt I called the store and got an appointment that week at 8:15am. I showed up to the store on time and it was locked right. No techs, no customer service. They are supposedly open at 7:00am. After nearly an hour of waiting, the techs finally showed up to work on my vehicle. I've been using Firestone for many years as I have their lifetime alignment package. Their work is generally quite good and I will continue to use them, but I wouldn't recommend this particular location read more

I gave this location two chances because in the past I have found Firestone to be great. The first time that I came to this location I made an appointment online and showed up. The store told me that they did not have my appointment and said that the system sometimes does that. While frustrating it seemed out of their control and I gave them a second chance. I made a second appointment several months later I received multiple confirmation emails so I knew the system had my appointment. I woke up early on my day off drove to fire stone only to find them closed. I received no phone call email or text to let me know of the sudden closure. I understand that things happen but would have appreciated a message so that I could've attempted to reschedule at a different location. As someone who drives to multiple clients a day it's hard to make time to not have a car for many hours and I cannot continue to go somewhere unreliable read more

This place is a complete joke, do not bring your car here. I made an appointment to have my oil change and when I called (over 24 hours prior to my appointment) I requested a specific type of oil, Royal Purple, and was told they would have to order it, but it wasn't a problem. The following day, I arrived on time to my scheduled appointment, the manager who was the same person who i spoke on the phone with had not even attempted to order the Royal Purple and began making multiple unsuccessful phone calls to his suppliers trying to find out who had Royal Purple. Then the service adviser asked me if I was going to drop the vehicle off or stay at the shop during the service. I told the service adviser that I don't know how to answer that since they had not even located the oil I requested... to which the manager told me, what do you expect me to do if no one carries your oil? To which i explained that's why I called yesterday, and I expected they research who has the oil before I show up to my appointment. I didn't schedule an appointment to wait around to see if they can even get the oil, i scheduled an appointment to get my oil changed. This manager was extremely rude, incompetent, and had no idea how to manage a shop or how to get in front of foreseeable issues. If this business can't complete simple tasks then there's no way I would let them work on my vehicle, and I took my business elsewhere. I drove all the way from a different county to this appointment just to find out they had put zero effort into my request. This is unacceptable service. read more

Was quoted a four hour finish time for my car, i dropped it off at 8am and didn't receive a callback so I thought I would just show up around 5pm. Guess what, the shop manager went to check on my car, which I didn't see anywhere when I drove in the parking lot, and miraculously when she came back about 5 minutes later it was done. When I got to my car behind the shop it was parked under a tree with the back window open. I will check my dash cam but I'm sure they know when a camera is on. I'm very disappointed with their service and would never return. I wish I would've checked their ratings here first. read more

It was time for an oil change , so I thought I'd leverage a coupon they had online . Tried to schedule an online meeting through their website on Monday , but never got any confirmation - when I called in the gentleman said that "he didn't have time to get to it". This is the 3rd time i was trying to schedule online , but you never do get a confirmation - this channel is completely useless. They finally scheduled me for Saturday - 5 days later , but maybe that's ok b/c it's a holiday week. I brought my Chevy and the gentleman agreed this is a simple oil change and I can use the coupon . The (unpleasant) surprise was waiting for me when I came to pick up the car, and was handed a bill that was x2.5 larger than what was the guaranteed in the coupon . When I asked why , they said Chevy "advised that they need to use a specific oil". No one called me to consult , they just went ahead and used that over-priced oil w/o confirming w me I am ok with that . I also received a condescending lecture about how they "will not let me compromise my engine longevity ". How convenient that they get to charge 2.5x of the guaranteed price There are so many other descent oil change shops , so yourself a favor and look for a different provider read more

The technician replaced my TPMS sensor with a rubber one instead of the metal type that my Lexus comes with. I was not happy about this. I will need to take time out of my day to go to the Campbell Wheelworks location to have it changed to the proper sensor. This one that he installed also doesn't keep the tire pressure the same as the others. I don't like things changed to random parts when it was clearly a different type. The woman that helped me inside the office was nice and I appreciated her kindness and help. read more

Came in for maintenance. I had purchased lifetime alignment for my car. It comes with tire rotation + balance. I also had them do an oil change ($27.99). So an alignment, tire rotation, balance, & oil change = $27.99. Not too bad. They're also efficient when you have an appointment. I waited about 2hrs for them to complete the work. read more

They tell you to make an appointment. So when you call you get their national office who can book an appointment but can't tell you how much they are going to charge. Then they can't even call them because they don't answer the phone. My advice don't waste your time with this circus they are apparently not very professional. read more

Came back a few months later due to other headlight out thinking the price will be the same they called and quoted me $500 and some change ! WHAT?! I've been going to this Firestone for over 20 years now. Today was shocking that an oil change will take them 2-3 hrs. Felix was almos forced to help me. He was hiding behind the computer until someone else order him to help the customers he did not call the next customer or ask me to come to his booth it was actually the other person making him work who asked me to go with him. Once there he asked why I was there...I guess now days is too much to ask for a "good morning, how can I help? " apparently it is!!!. Next... when I dropped my car I was informed that their alignment machine is broken so I will not get my tires aligned this time... note that buying your tires with them you get rotation and alignment every visit... NOPE. I returned after 2 hrs and realize that they have not start with my car. Why would you need an appointment at one time if they will start 3 hrs later? Customer's time is not valuable? It will probably won't matter if Felix showed good attitude Firestone custimer service was great before not sure what is happening but I should look for a different place now... very sad. Had our car towed here on Sunday at noon, and due to employees quitting (which is a common occurrence here) and to employees not showing up due to other personal issues, there was only one technician and one office person (Sarah, who is as amazing as she can be in this environment). Car wouldn't be ready that day, but Sarah put down noon the next day. Here we are now on the 3rd day with no communication, other than when I called them On Monday at noon and 4:15 PM and visited them in their office) as to when the car would be done; the office person (not Sarah) asked me to call back. I had to go teach an exercise class and asked the office person if they would pay for my Lyft's and he said yes. Fast forward to the 3rd day, where I went down to Firestone at their opening hours at 7 AM and nobody was there. I called repeatedly and someone answered finally at 7:20 AM, said my car would be ready in 1.5 hours (too late for me and had to get a ride to work) and that he wouldn't pay my Lyft fees and then hung up on me. So, here we are, with the past 7 years of abysmal service from this company and their headquarters has obviously done nothing for them to get better at communication and customer service, let alone safety issues I've experienced in the past with their work. Went to this place for the oil change, tire rotation and full vehicle inspection. That is all. After the servicing, I took my car on a long drive. In about 90 miles of my drive, on the freeway, my car made a weird noise. Stopped by a gas station nearby and tried to find out what the problem was. The guy who worked on my car didn't put back the metal cover after oil change properly. So, when I was driving, it half came off on the freeway and started touching the road. It was a horrible experience to have this kind of problem on a freeway when you were least expecting (I mean, you just got it fully inspected and serviced in preparation for the long drive). This messed up my long drive plan. Had to call up so many auto repair places at closing hours on a weekend to have it fixed and one gentleman who was working from his home came to my rescue. When I was waiting in the store, I saw my car is done but that technician don't know why suddenly driving my car like crazy and slam on the oil petal crazy and drive fast at the parking lots. I was happy with the appointment here. I went for an alignment for my tesla model 3 and Isaac did a great job. Although the camber wasn't really fixable because Tesla, he fixed everything possible. What a great representation of GREAT customer service! Recently had a tire and wheel replacement - all in short notice. Robert was a big help in assisting me with quotes on desired options over the phone. He was friendly and had great insight. From recommendations, tips, options and including reinforcing my decision, through and through, James was the MVP. He assisted me with the whole process....up to completion. Not to mention the guys at the shop were all amicable and professional. Kudos to them while they charged ahead on a super busy Saturday. Scheduled an appointment a week ago for 9am. Put car keys in drop box. Called at 10am to check the progress of my car. I was informed they weren't even aware my car was there!!! So I asked when would my car be done? I was asked when do I want it, I said as soon as possible. I was informed they wouldn't get to my car anytime soon because they had other Appointments and walk ins to take care of and only had 2 techs. I said I would come get my car because they now had no time to service it. When I arrived, the tech just laughed at my inconvenience!!! He made me feel like he could care less that I wasn't getting my car serviced. The customer has gone to crap at this location, sorry to say!!! Why make me an appointment for 12 and not see me until almost 1:20? Fifteen minutes later I am out the door with my lifetime alignment completed and an inspection. I was a lucky girl because there were about 3 other people still waiting and they also had appointments. What is the point of having an appointment if you are not going to honor them? So the mechanic still knows what he is doing, but the total disregard for my time makes me feel bad about returning without asking specific questions such as: Will my appointment time be honored? Is there something else going on that will prevent me from having my vehicle taken at its appointment time? I know that my vehicle is not important to you as I have a lifetime alignment. This means it's free when I come in. This was the agreement made when I invested the money for the lifetime alignment. I should not be treated poorly just because you are not making more money off of me, sheesh! read more
