I called the 620 -& Lake Creek location At 7 o'clock in the morning. and they only could gave me a time slot at 3 PM. Business is business and we all get busy. By all means it was not a emergency type of situation, but I stopped by Justin's shop and he gave me 30mins to wait. These guys are great!!! I went in to Firestone because I had a check engine light on and needed to get a state inspection. I was very impressed with the technician, he was friendly and walk me through the repair. I know he knew what he was talking about because my brother is a technician/state inspector in Dallas, has been for 18 years. These guys even took me home and picked me back up when my truck was done. Really went above and beyond. They fixed the problem that another shop down the road was trying to charge me $230 more for. I have read some of these reviews on here and I don't think that some people know what they are talking about. They should go to the Texas Department of Public Safety website for Inspection criteria. They list everything on a car that will pass or fail. Inspections are a FELONY if done improperly. I know because like I said my brother is an inspector for the state of Texas. Most of these guys take it seriously, anything questionable they are to fail it by LAW. If you could go to JAIL because you let someone slide would you risk it??? Before you write a review you should ask yourself what if it were me in their shoes and get better informed. I know this, I was treated fairly. The guys upfront were great. I dropped my car off on a Saturday because I called them before hand and asked them if they could either fix or replace one of my tires. FIVE hours later when I returned they told me they couldn't fix the tire and did not have the tire in stock. They should have told me that up front! I wasted an entire day waiting for them to fix my car. I could have gone to many other tire places in the mean time. Now I am stuck with a spare tire on my car! They said they could replace the tire the next day, but at full cost! Nice people, bad service! read more

Terrible service. Should have just gone to Jiffy Lube next door, they're always more competent and friendly. Firestone did not fix my problem correctly (broke again 5 minutes after they gave me the car back). Also, the guy was constantly trying to sell me on new services that I did not need, extremely annoying. Why do they hire used car salesmen for mechanical positions? These guys are the best in town! People with one star reviews are such snobs, who think its so easy to work in the heat! Cars are unpredictable and things happen. Do it at home and see what it takes! Great place, brought my son's first car there to see if it was a good deal. They were honest and gave it a good look over, as it was a 96 Bronco. We also take all of our business vehicles there for all their work. Never feel like we are getting ripped off! I recommend this Firestone to anyone, and women can go and not have that a "they saw me coming" feeling. Five stars for sure! read more

My experiences here before my last time in the store have been great. I came into the store to order a pair of tires(Potenza S-04 Pole Positions) that I know are not usually kept in stock. Earlier that week I called and had a salesmen verify they were in San Antonio and would only take a day to be there. Came in to order them and a manager helped me out and for some reason he said the pair in San Antonio have been sold and the only tires like that were in California, which I would have to pay a separate shipping charge($75) and wait a week for them to come in. Being like anyone else I called around but something told me to call another store and that I did. Come to find out that pair was still in San Antonio and still was only a day wait. I paid for my tires and I am very satisfied thanks to the manager at the arbor walk location, it's sad to see that a manager would do something like this i'm very disappointed. read more

I just brought my car in to have the tire balances checked. Justin was incredibly professional and kind. He got the work completed extremely quickly. I also got to witness him explaining the diagnosis of their car to another customer who was less than car savvy. He was incredibly patient and took the time to make sure the other customer understood what needed to be done. I'll admit I haven't always had the best experience at Firestone, but Justin has led me to regain my faith and come back again. read more

I extremely advise those coming to reconsider going to a different automotive service shop or even a different Firestone as not all are bad, and I speak from experience.As a previous employee, AND a customer BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER being hired, I will start by saying while their prices are definitely not the best by far, they are still better then a dealership, I witnessed multiple times both from the outside and in the General Manager giving very promising time quotes, when he knew ahead of time it would not be completed by said promised time, his argument for this was quoted " it's not like they can ask for their car back, When it's in the middle of being inoperable", I myself was a victim of this. Constant swamping of technicians with overbearing work and lying customers about time frames.I also unfortunately witnessed and experienced double dipping on labor, only when they knew they could get away with it. Example: You the customer needs a new oil pump, oil pan, and oil pickup tube/screen, on most cars these components are in the same location and therefore the Motorist Assurance Program ( A Automotive Union to ensure Morality, Fairness, and Quality in automotive business for both employees and customers) dictates that YOU will not be charged thrice or twice of the labor to get to these components, only once, and only labor for time Installed thereafter. But none the less I witnessed these myself, and was also encouraged to support them myself, quoted " So "I", "we" can get paid" . As an employee I got to see other locations, and I highly recommend the Leander, and Anderson Mill locations over this one. The staff here besides the current "General Manager" is very honest, hardworking and friendly, and I highly recommend speaking to the current Tire Manager about your service if you do go in, and he is much more honest and customer friendly. Is it a shame this location is headed by a corrupt GM. I can see a lot more potential with a change of management,and a good cleaning. read more

Went here after my electric port wouldn't work for an inspection. The inspection place referred me there and said they should be able to check the fuse and if it's the fuse it should be an easy fix. I took his advice and went here and asked if he could check ( the fuse box is a little difficult to get to but not a labor intensive job). The man at Firestone told me "I don't have anyone here who can check the fuse and you will have to pay $100 for a full diagnostic". I could check the fuse myself but figured they could check and if it was a larger issue than the fuse I could give them my business. In addition, wouldn't we all go to a business that does the right thing? Anyway, I decided to call a competitor while in the Firestone store who assured me they could easily check the fuse for no charge and would appreciate my business if it was something more than the fuse. I will it be using Firestone for any services in the future but am glad I found somewhere else to go that knows how to earn a customer. Hope someone finds this helpful! read more

Went there for an oil change on September 27th, I was told that I had to wait 2hrs which is not a problem without an appointment. The problems came an hour and a half later when I received a call telling me that my truck "needed" $700+ in repairs. I was told that I needed an alignment because one tire was wearing unevenly, I told him that the tires were changed less than a week ago and if he could detect wear in less than a 100 miles, the axle would probably be at 45 degrees. He then proceeded to tell me that I needed new spark plugs, which I had replaced 18k miles before at 100k miles, he then proceeded to tell me that I needed a new air filter which was replaced at the previous oil change, I was also told that the battery was failing when I replaced the battery less than a year ago at Costco and it has a 5year warranty. Also, according to them, I needed to replace the brakes because the brake fluid was low.... I don't want to know how many people get scammed into repairs that are not needed by this people, but I will not be returning to this place. You have been warned read more
