Came in for a state inspection on a day they ended up having issues with their OBD machine. After waiting 45 minutes, they said the machine was fixed but my OBD test had failed. They offered to diagnose the issue for $100. Assuming there was a problem on their side, I took it to another inspection site a few days later to pass with flying colors. Want to give a HUGE a shout out to the Firestone Tire on 1431/Ronald Regan. I went last Thursday morning to get an alignment on my mini van. I let them know that the vehicle was shaking and making a hard right when the steering wheel was let go. They also did the vehicle once over, and all was well with my people hauler. I paid for a much needed oil change and the alignment. When driving home, I had a very tired and fussy baby, so I wasn't really focused on vehicle performance. On Friday evening I left for Temple, and noticed that the original issue was still happening. I was annoyed, and very frustrated, made a call back to them, scheduling a Tuesday morning appointment. Upon my return home on Sunday, hubby took a look and noticed the drivers side front tire had a huge bulge in it. A MAJOR safety issue. Now hubby was ticked off. Since I had already made an appointment (yes driving on the bad tire) , I went to Firestone to give them a piece of my mind- then to proceed on to Discount Tire for them to replace it under warranty. When I arrived at Firestone, I spoke (privately- outside) with the manager,Justin, I barely had to show him the paperwork and tire bulge. I wasn't even finished speaking, when he profusely apologized, admitting that the tech screwed up and without a moments hesitation said he wanted to make it right. He immediately offered 2 NEW tires at no charge, including the road side hazard warranty, and redoing the alignment ! I was stunned speechless. WOW- I had zero expectations that Firestone would do anything more than a general apology. I completely understand that mistakes happen, we are only human. My faith in Firestone Tire has been restored. It is amazing customer service and make it right attitude. I am one satisfied customer! read more

I have taken a variety of vehicles here over the years and I have always been pleased with the service I have received. They can almost always get the issues fixed within the same day. You get what you pay for with car service and cheap isn't always good when it comes to your ride. read more

I went in thinking I just needed my tire patched and for $20, perfect. Unfortunately I had a nail in the tire that was in a non-safe to drive location, not to mention, the other back tire was bald. Seeing as it was a dangerous situation but only having $60 to my name I had a mental breakdown, embarrassingly asked them if they could just put the tire back on and I would be back when I could get the money. Seeing how distraught I was, the Manager, Justin, had so much compassion he put my safety first and I left with 2 new tires. Have used them in the past but after my last visit I will not be a repeat customer. I had them do AC, radiator and fuel filter work and when I got home noticed they left a cap off my AC line, a razor blade under the hood, a noise appeared mysteriously from under the dash and my dash was cracked in several places. Even though my truck is old I do take very good care of it and would have noticed these two issues before taking it into them yesterday. Nowing that I could not prove they were at fault, they did not offer to work with me to get this issues fixed, just calmly said I could bring it back for another service appointment. had my car towed here back in March for repair, and so far couldn't be happier with the results. It had been overheating for almost 6 weeks, and i had several repairs done at another Firestone. Flush, thermostat, radiator, etc. None of this fixed the problem. Once in this shop, i got pretty regular communication from Justin (the manager?) regarding the problem, and while it was a massive engine repair that took about 2 weeks, i was quoted a very reasonable price and they treated me like a very valued customer. I always use this place for routine maintenance, so when my check engine light came on I decided to trust them for that too. Not only did they reduce the price of the diagnostic check for me, they told me what was suspected to be wrong. They went even farther when I asked if it was something I could fix myself, and instead of taking the chance to lie & tell me they had to fix it, they showed me the part & enabled me to make the repair myself. Went in to get my tire checked because the sensor light was on. I waited a bit longer than expected (hour) since the wait was "right away" and not a number of minutes. I expected to be shown the nail if there was one. I should have been asked if I wanted to proceed with repair if there was a cost associate because I was under the impression that a patch was free like at Lamb's. I was informed after the work that I had a nail and that the cost was a bit over $20. Staff very friendly otherwise. read more

I needed to get a state inspection and was happy to see Firestone provided this service, especially since they are located close by. That was until they told me I needed new tires before they could pass my vehicle. And how convenient that they happened to have the kind I needed in stock and on sale. I had them show me exactly what the measurements were and where they were taking the measurements. I left (after paying the inspection fee and having a "fail" status) and brought my car to Champion Toyota of Austin, where I have my oil changed...even though it is a LONG drive. They measured and the tires passed. Come to find out, Firestone was measuring the tread wear indicators, not the groove between the tread. When I returned to Firestone, the service person answered the phone while I was standing right in front of him and proceeded to have a long conversation with the person calling, instead of placing them on hold to take care of the customer waiting right there. He was the same service person I had dealt with previously and when I told him what happened, he blamed it on the technician, who happened not to be there at the time, and never even apologized for the inconvenience or added expense and time I lost having new tires installed due to their error (or lie). Beware of this place...they have horrible customer service, they are out to make a buck, and they cannot be trusted! read more

I really want to give a good review!... I use to work at a Firestone in California, and know how the company works. My kids and I came in on Sunday aug 25th @ 3pm, to have a simple battery inspection performed. I was turned away!! Only to have an offer that if I stayed until 6pm I would possibly be helped, and I told him I would be buying a battery. Horrible customer service... I drove down the street to advanced auto parts, where they tested my battery for free-finding a bad cell. They offered to replace the battery for free and even beat the price at Firestone! They did a perfectly fine job of changing my oil and checking for a leaky tire, but they are filthy! The technician got huge oily footprints and smears all over the floor rug, and a different technician put oily fingerprints on the door of my (white) car, when he very pleasantly asked if I needed help. They made an effort to clean the rug, but it's still oily and dirty looking. I'll have to replace it. How can you be in the business of taking care of people's cars and not know how to avoid trashing the car while you work? read more

My car needed a replacement bulb for the headlight. The manager told me it would take about an hour. However, he and another employee had it done within 20 minutes. Okay, I truly promise I am not a Karen, and I don't write reviews unless asked to do so, but...I took my car to get an oil change yesterday (I have had zero issues with this car, and it barely has 5600 miles on it). I waited a bit while they were working, and everyone in the store was extremely friendly, and pleasant. After a few minutes, someone came out to let me know that because I have a brand new 2020, they don't have an oil filter for it, and that my best bet was to take it to my dealership. That is not their fault, and I understood, I appreciated them providing me with a resolution. As I was leaving, a technician stopped me, and let me know that the tire pressure indicator was flashing in my car. He said that my tire pressure was fine when they checked it, but I needed to go to my dealership to see if there was an issue with a sensor. Keep in mind this is again, a brand new car, and I have never had any lights come up, or any issues, even pulling up to the shop. I didn't say anything in the store, I was honestly confused (I'm a 23 year old female and cars are not my thing so what am I going to say)? When I get in my car, my tire pressure light was on, as well as my trunk light. I thought it was really odd, but that maybe someone accidentally pressed the button to open my trunk. After checking, it was indeed closed. I also now have noticed that my doors are no longer power locking like they had previously done. At this point it is not something I would go back to have anyone fix. I'm sure there are some wonderful, and talented people that work there, but I don't feel comfortable having someone look at my car based off of this experience. I will go back to my dealership, and luckily, my car is under a warranty. I would however be cautious of coming here. I hate saying that, but I also know if I didn't have a new car warranty this would be a different story. read more

Outstanding professionals. Had a difficult problem with an intermittent miss on an older Chevy truck. No computer aided diagnosis with this one. Greg and Brandon were up to the task. Effective diagnosis of an intermittent electrical problem is one of the toughest things to do, especially when no computer port is available to assist. Firestone hit the jackpot having these two managing their stores. Having many major issues with the vehicles I've had, if I hadn't had their expertise I know I would've spent thousands more. Its jus nice to be treated with respect n not jus a dumb female or taken advantage of. To have all options reviewed n explained, to be given options according to financial limitations... This is the most frustrated I've been with a car service facility. Three and a half hours with my car, having had an appointment and they still are not done. There is no reason for this lack-witted, in-attention to the work that needs to be done. A simple oil change and tire repair which according to them only takes an hour. Absolutely the worst! Don't go this firestone! Important! This place has dishonest people. I add air to tire by myself in a gas station. The air machine do not tell you how much pressure the tire is. I feel bad when I drive on the road. I want to have someone check the tire pressure. So I went to this firestone. A guy checked one tire and say the pressure is fine, and ask me if the tire has TMPS, he is trying to sell it. After he checked all 4 tires he said "I won't worry much about the tire pressure".That's the biggest lie. Because I know it is wrong,I can feel the vehicle turin right a little bit. I go to lamb's tire check tire pressure again, they are honest I can see my tire pressure in 4 tires are 47, 38, 37, 40. All above recommand pressure -30. Do you remember what firestone guy say? A couple of months back my car broke down late one Friday afternoon and left me stranded (with my kids in the car) near this place. Firestone in Cedar Park replaced a senor with after-market/uncertified parts that only lasted 60 days and left me stranded again 2 months later. I will not go back here again. I called the 620 -& Lake Creek location At 7 o'clock in the morning. and they only could gave me a time slot at 3 PM. Business is business and we all get busy. By all means it was not a emergency type of situation, but I stopped by Justin's shop and he gave me 30mins to wait. These guys are great!!! I went in to Firestone because I had a check engine light on and needed to get a state inspection. I was very impressed with the technician, he was friendly and walk me through the repair. I know he knew what he was talking about because my brother is a technician/state inspector in Dallas, has been for 18 years. These guys even took me home and picked me back up when my truck was done. Really went above and beyond. They fixed the problem that another shop down the road was trying to charge me $230 more for. I have read some of these reviews on here and I don't think that some people know what they are talking about. They should go to the Texas Department of Public Safety website for Inspection criteria. They list everything on a car that will pass or fail. Inspections are a FELONY if done improperly. I know because like I said my brother is an inspector for the state of Texas. Most of these guys take it seriously, anything questionable they are to fail it by LAW. If you could go to JAIL because you let someone slide would you risk it??? Before you write a review you should ask yourself what if it were me in their shoes and get better informed. I know this, I was treated fairly. The guys upfront were great. The technician was a honest quality technician. I will go back to get all my work done here. Went out of their way to give me good service. read more
