I wanted to got with one star since everyone else did, but I couldn't do it based on our limited experience... We've been to this place a few times already with no clear issues with pricing or service. I don't know that we got a good price, but certainly not too bad. We purchased a set of tires and I can't remember what else. I recently found a coupon for a discounted oil change online and decided to use it there since it's very close to home. First guy I talked to early in the day says that we can either set an appointment or just bring it in. I told him it would be around 5pm, he says that would be fine to just drop by. When we get there the guy at the desk says they're far too busy, as they are almost all days at that time and that they are taking appointments for the next day. Fine, we set one up for the next day at 5pm, only after some push back from them trying to have us make it earlier. Not a real problem. So we drop the car off the next day, I stayed in the car so I can't comment on the situation in the store at the time. They call back within 40 minutes and tell my wife that there is a nail in one of the tires and they can fix it for $26. She said yes before telling me anything :( Once she's off the phone she tells me what they said and I was a noticeably irritated. She hadn't even told me the price yet, and was reluctant to after seeing my reaction to there being any charge. Firstly, we bought the damn tires from this place and they wont patch it for free. Maybe not every place does this, but this is what I would have expected. Secondly, even if we hadn't bought the tires there, 26 bux seems really high for a friggin tire patch. I guess we're lucky they didn't touch the brakes, but I'm not excited about this place really at all. It's very close, but there are plenty of other places as close or just barely farther. I recently had my window regulator repaired here. When I got my car back they included a list of recommendations that told me I need to repair my front and rear brakes and brake fluid immediately. My cousin said he would be happy to change my brakes for me at cost so of course I did that instead. When we got the front brakes off we found that they were still usable and I probably could've gone a while longer without changing them. Yikes! Later on I noticed my weatherstripping was out of place causing the window to roll up awkwardly. I took it back so they could fix the job and they got me an appointment for the next day. I went in, they had me look over the car with the mechanic that had put the door panel on incorrectly to point out the problem and check it over before I left. They fixed the problem right away and handled their mistake gracefully. read more

ALL we needed was someone to help us put the spare tire on (because we are both girls with no experience) they told us we had to wait 3 hours! So we pulled in the parking lot next to it and tried to change the tires ourselves... We even had strangers come help us ... He was very professional and made me feel very welcome and I felt he cared about the issue and also the financial impact it would cause. It was a long time (3-3.5 hrs) to know what was up, but that is understandable since it was an engine issue. "V" ordered the part asap. I have been taking my expedition & volvo here for 4 years and I am quite happy with their service. I only had two times that I had an issue.. one was quite large - finding a noise that they couldn't find so they had my truck for a week however, they rented me a car and they finally fixed the problem -- not gouging my wallet. The other time was minor and they fixed it as well with a smile and a sorry. The manager has changed twice but they usually know who I am because I'm in the system. As a matter of fact I was stuck in Reno and needed car service and went to the firestone there and they pulled up all my records. Nice touch. I got a lifetime alignment on special $149. Great deal seeing as two single alignments would cost more. I can go to any Firestone and get my car aligned any time I want for life. As for other services I would not know but they did say my oil was dirty which was funny as I just changed it with Amsoil Full Syn 0-30w not a few days prior. read more

I agree with other people. This place went way downhill after Chris left. I had an oil change a month ago and then my coolant light comes on last week. Who doesn't top off the fluid with an oil change?? And they noted that it was low but didn't tell me or just top it off. This is my second oil change in the past year and now they are trying to say I have a slight oil leak and recommended doing a $50 dye test to see where its coming from. Let me get this straight you call yourself a mechanic but can't tell where oil is leaking from with out a dye test. Total scam Do not take your car there for any reason! read more

I brought my Trans AM in for full brakes because I noticed a squeak, but was told it did not need brake pads, so we didn't do them. About eight months later I brought it back to get new tires put on it, plus do the remainder of the rear brakes because the squeak was still there (the entire thing cost about $1,300). Then about three months later I brought it back because the squeak was still there, and was told I had a rear differential leak, but they were unable to get the seal. So I parked the car in the garage and waited until I had a little extra cash to bring it to a shop to get the leak fixed, and was told that not only was the rear diff. leaking, but the axle seals were also leaking, so my brand new brakes were completely saturated and ruined. So I went back to Firestone and talked to Chris, the manager, who told me that it should have been notated upon the first set of brakes, then again when they did the remainder, and they could get the part, so he wasn't sure why I was told that they couldn't. After assuring me that it would be taken care of by his Master Mechanic, with his supervision, we set a date to bring the car in. All together it took four days (I have a daily, so it didn't matter how long it took), he replaced the rear brakes, the E-brake, the axle seals, and the rear diff. seal, all free of charge. I had not expected them to do the seals, nor the E-brake, because none of that was included in the original work done. So in my opinion, although it started out as a bad experience, it turned into an amazing one; Chris was a huge help who was determined to make things right, and they kept in contact the entire time to update me on what was going on. I will continue to go there for my brakes and tires, as we have in the past, because they obviously go above and beyond for their customers. Thank you Chris for your awesome customer service!! My baby is as good as new, and I can't wait to show her off during the summer. :) read more

On my way to an appointment, back in November 2014, I recently discovered a flat tire and this was the closet place around. It was the middle of the day and they were able to service me and get me on the road. As a courtesy, they checked the rest of the tires and told me they needed replacement too. Just to be sure, I wanted to run it by husband first. Yes, he confirmed that I needed new tires. I was helped at the front desk by the manager, Shohil and later by Tony? (who is from Southern CA.) They ordered the tires and I made an appointment to come back. Through no fault of their own, the tires did not arrive on time. No worries, because things happen. It was the Fact that they offered to take care of us, is more than most businesses do today. They are patient, friendly, courteous and helpful. We received nothing but exceptional Customer Service at this Firestone location! Addendum- (November 16, 2014) because of my great service, my husband also went there to fix a nail in his tire. They informed him that he actually had (3) holes in the tire and that it was not safe to fix it and that it should be replaced. They asked him where he purchased the tires from and suggested that he go back to that business to try to match the tread. They were willing to replace it, but thought it would be a good idea to try to match the tire exactly. Honesty and integrity speaks volume. read more

This place does not even deserve one star. I know that is said a lot but I genuinely mean that. I went here to get an oil change back in April of 2017. I had specifically asked them not to put pennzoil in my car because that oil is GARBAGE and destroys engines. Anyways, I was told they would have to get the oil I wanted from another store, I said thats totally fine. So I waited, and I watched them bring in my "Castrol" in a pennzoil box... I quickly got up and questioned what the hell was going on. I was then told not to worry and that it was not pennzoil. So i gave them the benefit of the doubt and sat and waited. Fast forwarding to now, pennzoil was put in my car. My oil is literally black sludge, not even an exaggeration. THEY ALSO STRIPPED MY OIL PLUG!! I will attach a photo. I found this out today when going to my car's dealership to get an oil change. So I was blatantly lied to by the "mechanics" here telling me that there was no pennzoil in my car. RIDICULOUS. Please please save your cars and don't come here. They do everything behind your back and that is not an auto shop that has any good intentions! I am very disgusted by this place. read more

I called in and was put on hold. Not a problem. But I was on hold for 20 minutes. Then I called back. Was placed on hold again, another 20 minutes. It hung up. I called back a 3rd time and they guy asked to put me on hold again I said "No, I've been in hold for 40 minutes." He apologized and told me it would be 20 more minutes before he could answer my call because he had customers. I am a customer. Apparently you have to be there in person to be considered a customer. I used to always go through Firestone. My experience today is not a reflection of the quality customer care I know to be from this company. read more

I have a 2012 Ford Explorer, that gets regular dealer maintenance. I take it to this Firestone because I wanted to become an Uber driver & this is the closest place that does the Uber inspections. I drop off the car & get a call a while later & I'm told my brakes need to be replaced & it'll be $180, I tell them, not to do anything with it & they say I can come pick up my car. I go to pick up my car & only then am I also told something "weird" is going on with my battery. I had ZERO battery issues prior to taking it to this place. Vehicle started EVERY time, with no issues. At this point, the inspection paperwork is not filled out. The person starts marking items on the inspection & it's like he's just writing down whatever & not actually what was found during the inspection, at least that is the impression that was left with me. For the back breaks he had 6 & 5 and for the front brakes he had 4 & 2...The uneven wear is a bit strange to me, but I will figure that out later. What's concerning me, is now, 2 days after my vehicle was taken in, I'm having trouble starting my car, like there is a hard drain on my battery. Coincidence? Or sabbotage? read more

I stopped by Firestone today when my low tire pressure light came on in my car. I had my two and a half year old grandson with me who was more than ready for his afternoon nap and I was worried it might take too long to get my problem addressed. That was not the case at all. The service person behind the counter directed me to bring my car into the first Bay and within 5 to 10 minutes a gentleman named Logan had circled my car with the tire pressure gauge and air hose and filled the air in the tire that needed it. I was on my way in no time and with no charge at all! All of this is thanks to the efficient and kind service at Firestone. Thanks so much for what you did! read more

UPDATE HONEST FOLKS. SAVED ME FROM UNNECESSARY REPAIRS. Ok, the car went for a factory recall repair at the dealer .The dealer recommended changing the brake fluid since it was dirty, and plus it needed other work outside the recall, cost factor approx. $300.00. I took the car to Firestone, who did a dipstick test on the brake fluid, it came back at the lowest rating on the scale, no change needed. They could tell visually the fluid wasn't dirty, but the test strip cant be argued. Firestone checked the other problem, and reported it ok. They double checked the work the dealer had done on the factory recall, and it doesn't quite match the limits on the service bulletin. Firestone saved me $300 in unneeded repairs, and caught errors which I am pursuing with Toyota. In a world filled with car mechanic horror stories, they have been a breath of fresh air. read more

Mark and the techs are great at this Firestone. He is honest about wait times. The techs do not scratch or damage wheels. Balancing and alignments are done correctly the first time. Everybody is polite and knowledgable. The crew has fun, even when they work past 6pm to get all the work done. I've waited in the lobby and observed Mark keep his cool while rude customers were saying very nasty things. He waits then professionally explains how he can help. The whole team here goes above and beyond. This is the only tire store I use after several bad experences all over town. read more

My Fiance came here for a routine oil change. He normally goes to the Firestone Sacramento. So they do the oil change and not even 3 weeks later his engine blows out while he is driving. He had to get it towed and when we had a mechanic come check it out he said there was absolutely no oil in the car! and when was the last time we had an oil change we told him it had been 3 weeks, he stated that shouldn't have happened we have never had problems with is car prior to having an oil change there. Needless to say we had to sell the car due to not having the money to replace his engine. Not only did he have problems, But I went there on January 2nd to have an oil change ( this is prior to us having his car checked by a mechanic). I noticed last week that my oil is now leaking in my parking spot. I have lived at my place for 2 years and have never had an oil leak or any leak for that matter. So I called the location and told the " Hey, I had an oil change by you, now my car is leaking, I didn't have this problem prior to getting my oil change by you guys, I need you guys to fix it" The guy on the phone then tells me that I would be charged a diagnostic fee for them to see what is wrong with my car and why it is leaking. That is just ridiculous!! They are the ones that did something incorrectly IM NOT PAYING THEM ANOTHER DIME until they fix the problem I shouldn't have to pay for it. I will no longer be going to this location, and I hope my engine doesn't blow out like my fiance's did. read more

Went in with an oil change coupon I found ... $19.95 .... (for "synthetic blend")...and am told, "Oops, your car takes pure synthetic, not a blend...That'll be $80 or so with a $15 rebate you can file online. I say "No thanks" and as I'm leaving the counterperson says "I can take the $15 off right now" ... So what is it? Rebate now or rebate later, or just rebate now if customer is leaving? Believe it or not, I bought one of their many-service coupons previously and got the same treatment. You don't have to hit me over the head with a 2 x 4... I've fallen for their bait-and-switch for the last time. Just FYI, the dealer (you know, the place that usually the *most* expensive--the *DEALER*) changed the 100% synthetic oil for $42. I really needed to get my oil changed today and it just so happened that it was convenient enough for me to grab dinner with a friend while getting my oil changed at Firestone. This was my first time here and Mark was there with a friendly smile and great customer service. They called when they said they would and when I went to pick up my car I even got to meet one of the managers Darren, which was perfect because I want to share with someone how nice of a job I thought Mark was doing. My wife was in the Sacramento area visiting relatives on 4/13/14 and experienced a flat tire. She called me and I advised her to air up at the next gas station and proceed to a tire shop for assistance. The folks at the Citrus Heights Firestone shop replaced the two tires that were worn out and changed the oil and completed an inspection. The service was prompt, friendly and at a great price.
