Got my oil changed and they over tightened the bolt on the oil drain plug, causing the gasket to break and the oil to spill out on the garage and engine. Now at the dealership spending more than $300 to repair their shoddy workmanship. This in addition to the fact that they broke a tire sensor when I got new tires and wouldn't replace it and they couldn't figure out how to put the spare tire back in the trunk or floor of the trunk back. read more

Walk in right now 55 min before the close and 2 hits are sitting in the company waiting area on their phones and when I walk in one guy jumps up and asks what he can do for me. I needed a simple tire rotation. He said oh we close in 40 min. I exclaimed, I was at work and couldn't come another time. We set an appointment for 10:30am. My very pregnant daughter was there on time to just get a tire patch. However, they said it wouldn't be done until 1:30pm. With no complaints she called me to pick her up. They called about 45 minutes later and left a message saying, "there is something needs to be done to the car." She called back and they said that the tire was not fixable and that she needed all new tires. She told the guy on the phone that she was just at Tire Depot yesterday. She was told it was a simple patch job but, didn't get it done because it would be 3 hours and she was in a rush. (Just a FYI, Tire Depot does complementary patch jobs and Firestone charges $30). Moreover, she told the guy she doesn't want to be up sold and to put the tire back on and she was coming back to get the car. However, when we got to the Firestone the car was up on the lift with all 4 tires on. She went inside and the guy said that it would be 5 minutes because they have to put the tire back on. But the tires was already all on with no signs of ever being taken off. The guy at Firestone said they don't do plugs anymore. How does Firestone the tire store not plug tires anymore? I truly believe that they saw a woman coming and thought they could upsell her. I also believe it due to the only reviews where the owner responds are to men. read more

I needed to replace a tire on a new car after having a puncture on the sidewall. I went in knowing the tire brand/model/size that I needed, I was quoted online but when I came into the store, it was INFLATED (get it, inflated) to about a hundred dollars more. Now, I know cars, I like cars, and I worked on cars but Mr. Kpop curly haired, ringpop on all fingers Firestone rep said I needed an alignment, thus the price increase. Big dawg, you haven't seen the car, I haven't told you what happened, you didn't ask what happened, and you haven't seen the tire, baby what is you doing?!?! Anyways, he said taking the wheel off the axle means it'll require an alignment and to any clueless driver that probably-most-likely-kinda-definitely made sense but not to me playa. He said when you take it off the axle, the wheel will be "crooked". Well I didn't want to argue, so I said, "it's alright, I don't need it." I was told it will be ready in 2.5 hours, mind you, I was the only customer so I think to myself, alright, I'll wait. So I give em the key outside and I see him chatting it up with Majin Buu sitting on a chair with his face glued to the phone. I think to myself, alright maybe he's on break, it's sweating bowling balls out here, he needs a break. 10-15 minutes later, my car left untouched in the bay, Majin Buu still on his phone, I'm losing trust and getting slightly uneasy, and I see Mr. Kpop on his phone outside big chillin' too. With trust at 0%, I asked for my keys and left. Moral to the story, please do not go here if you don't know about cars, they'll probably tell you that your rearview and side mirrors need an alignment and your automatic car needs a manual transmission fluid flush. Had a coolant leak and this Firestone quoted me over $3500. That sounded wildly excessive... particularly at a time when I am unemployed and didn't have money to throw away so I took it to a second mechanic and they charged me under $1800 and told me under no circumstances should these repairs have been quoted over the $2000 mark. It's actually pretty shocking that a mainstream chain with thousands of locations would be so wildly unethical and flat out rip off customers at every opportunity. Manager Carlos Jacobo was also rude to deal with... he was short with me and rude. He also told me he'd call me back and didn't. I'd been coming here for years for oil changes but will never set foot in a Firestone again and I'd encourage you all to avoid this unethical company of liars and upsellers. I have come to this location for convenience only. I usually take my car to a trusted mechanic that is a bit farther away. The service I received today from the person behind the counter, he stated his name was Daniel even though he wasn't wearing a name tag and states they never wear name tags.... well the way he spoke to me was extremely unprofessional and very rude. When I finally had enough and told him I didn't appreciate the way he was speaking to me he responded with even more rude comments. He claimed he was the general manager. Went to this Firestone after just having my car alignment performed and saw they didn't adjust camber or caster. Just did the classic dirty set the toe and let it go. I made sure before they touched the vehicle that I'd like those adjustment to be made since they were in the red and he said no problem. Waited an hour before they even put my car on the rack and I had an appointment just saw them walking around chit chatting. The tech finished with my car really quick and just parked it no test drive which shows he didn't verify the alignment was good. And on top of all this he just set the toe only and ignored what I told him in the beginning. I asked him why he didn't adjust the other two and he said he had bad experience so didn't want to. At this point I was pretty upset and let them know I was. Said forget it can't force people to work so I drove off just to find my steering wheel way off and car pulling to the right really bad. Guy couldn't even get the toe adjustment correct. Not sure why they hire people like this but if a "professional" shop can even adjust the easiest adjustment for an alignment I can't imagine what they can do. Will never go back here read more

My wife took her Audi Q7 in for an oil change. They called her to pick it up. As she was driving away, the manager came running down the street yelling at her. They had forgotten to put the bolts back on and she was leaking oil. They took another hour to fix it. After all that, it was still leaking. Took it to my mechanic... they put the bolts on wrong and it was falling apart. We just went on a road trip and thank god it held together long enough. He showed me pics. The oil filter was filthy as if they never changes it. The air filter and cabin filter were filthy as well. How can they get away with such horrible service???? read more

Beware of this shady business. They tried to rip off my wife twice. We had a warranty replacement tire from The Tire Rack shipped here (they are a Tire Rack recommended installer). When we went to install it, first they said we needed an alignment (which we don't) for $113. Then when my wife said "no, thank you" they tried to charge her $80 to mount and balance ONE tire, which is complete nonsense (especially when you consider they were only slightly more expensive for the alignment we didn't need). She even had them print out the invoice from the last time we had them mount tires on the exact same car. The price was under $25 per tire. When my wife pointed this out to them, their response was that the price has gone up 4x. This is total BS - and when you call around to other Firestone locations, a mount and balance is $20-44 for one tire. BUSTED. My wife had them load the tire in her car and left. When I called to speak to the manager, Daniel gave me the run around and kept putting me on hold hoping I would hang up, which I eventually did. I got the tire mounted and balanced at American Tire Depot on Van Nuys Blvd for $35. They were an honest bunch. I hope this Firestone location goes out of business. They probably will with this type of behavior. I'll also let The Tire Rack know about how Firestone treats the customers they send them. I've used them several times for small jobs. Never again.
