We ended up going here because our usual Firestone told us they were short staffed and couldn't get us in. We had a college kid home and he had some problems with the 17 year old car he had at school. We knew it was battery, starter or ignition, but weren't sure what and had called early Saturday morning hoping to get this location to check it out. They told us to leave it and they would try to get us in. They called us around 4 and told us the diagnostics showed it was only the battery and they could replace it and we would be good to go. While I was waiting for them to finish up, someone came in with Popeye's for an employee. I talked about how good the spicy chicken was and they offered me a piece! I had heard the conversation about how it was dinner for the employee's family and politely declined, but that was so nice! So we had a good experience and are happy to know that we have a backup plan if the nearby location is booked. read more

We were visiting from Ohio and about to head home last Sunday morning. I noticed a little shimmy in the front end as we drove down Army Trail, and by the time we got on 355 it had gotten much worse. We looked for an open mechanic and discovered this Firestone, so got right back off at North Ave and babied the car all the way there. They were already booked for the day, which was understandable, and promised to look at it first thing on Monday. Without going into a ton of detail - the manager, Matt, was really great. They handled the repairs well and had us ready to travel by the end of the day. He kept in touch to let us know how it was going and treated us fairly on the bill. Called a few days ago to inquire about mounting and balancing a used tire. Told me how much it would be so I made an appointment. Show up today, first thing I'm asked is whether the tire is brand new because they don't do used tires. Told them, I wish you told me when I called, was told you didn't talk to me... We've been taking our cars here the past few years and never had any issues. However, yesterday they went above and beyond for me. Brought my car in with a flat tire and asked him to check my brakes too. They could have taken advantage of me and told me I needed new brakes but they were 100% honest and said they were fine. As for my tire, since its still relatively new, and I purchased them from that store, they sold me the warranty on the tires which was cheaper than buying a whole new tire. My husband recently went in and had an issue with an oil leak and they were thorough and very knowledgeable about the situation. Ask for Matt. Very nice, friendly and genuine guy. Full disclosure my brother in law runs the Batavia location. That said, I live far from there and frequent most of the other Firestone locations. I'm taking the time to write this most because of the excellent friendly attitude of Stephanie when taking my appointment and checking me in for service. Truly impressed that she offered to make coffee while I waited. Shame is that I overheard it's her last week. Best of luck Stephanie and Firestone you're losing a good one! Besides that, if you are a customer here you'd be stupid not to get the road hazard coverage. I'm getting a nail in my tire fixed for free as we speak! read more

I was going to drop my wifes car off for tires and brakes and i thought maybe I would have them fill up my pillow for the pool over the years they have done that for me however this day the manager didn't want to help me with that making the excuse he didn't have a air nozzle (LOL) I didn't tell him my wife was in the parking lot with our car for service I left and told my wife to leave also we took our car to carx instead For 20 years I went to firestone but never again very bad management now read more

Quite possible the worst place I've ever been to have my car worked on. I dropped my car off at 7:30 am on Saturday Morning. I needed a oil change, top off the fluids and to repair a battery terminal, that I paid for the last time I was there and wasn't repaired. I didn't hear back from them and thought that in 3.5 hours they would have had the oil changed and the battery terminal fixed. I arrived to be told that they needed to talk to me about the battery terminal...I said you could have called me about that, but was also confused because we had talked about it before I left. They told me that I needed new windshield wipers, and that they would "comp" them for my time. So I waited another 1.5 and was told the car was ready. I went to the car and started it and thought I would try the new wiper blades. I went to use the wiper fluid and there was none in the reservoir, then check the other fluids and none were topped off. So I went back into the store and was upset, I was about to lose my cool in front of people, but cooled off enough and decided I would call them back after i settled down the next day. I was prepared to called the manager and apologize for my outbreak, but during my inspection of the car, I noticed that the oil change sticker wasn't changed and that my "oil life" gauge in the car was still the same...I crawled under the car to check the filter and it was dirty and looked liked it hadn't been change, Looked at the oil and it didn't look clean, so I was livid. Called the manager and let him know how displeased I was with his organization. Attention to detail is important in a job like this. As I know well that as my father was in the car service tech industry for over 30 years...So disappointed. read more

After fixing my first flat tire that was puntured by a nail.i happily picked up my car and thought o.k. that wasnt to bad.19.00 dollars to patch the tire.i drove the car that day 70 miles...and the next morning had another flat tire.What the hell.i had the car towed back to firestone and they told me this time it had a screw ..and the would patch it again.i hadnt had a flat in 10 years now i have 2 flats in 2 days. I wasnt feeling very comfortable driving my car with that tire but the attendent assured me that the tire was ok.so i drove the car home 1 mile and parked it in my driveway.i knew i had to leave for work at 5 a.m and iwould be going into the city.so right before going to bed something told me to check the tire...and lo and behold it is flat as a pancake...i will be calling and complaining to the manager tomorrow morning.just wanted you all to know.someone there is not competent.i would have gladly bought a new tire to have avoided all this aggravation. Bad customer service. They broke my hood prop and lost two clips for the snorkel of my air box. When I asked about it they told me my car was already like that. To top it off they did not have any coffee ready in the waiting room. Boooo read more

I went in today to get new tires. Hung out for a hour and a half waiting for my car to be done. Not once did they tell me my tail light was broken and left side of my car was scratched up. When I picked up the car a few hours later I found my tail light broken and my cars left side all scratched up. Store claims I brought it in with that damage. I drove my car night before and the morning of on the way to the shop, there was no damage. Spent $804.88 on new tires and a new tire pressure sensor. I left with body damage and a broken tail light. Stay away from this store and Firestone. Plenty of other tire shops to go with. read more
