I probably should be giving them 3 stars but the definitions of 3 stars is "ok" and 2 is "Could've been better" so I went with 2 stars. This place is usually does an ok job without any issues but they did a poor job this time. I called and got a estimate for tire installation. However, when my wife took the car for the tire installation she was charged 50% more than the estimate due to size of tire. Even though when I received the estimate I told the person the year, make, model of the vehicle as well as the tire size being a OEM tire size. The cost went from $100 to $150. Fifty percent more is a good amount more. I was surprised when I called the Firestone location and was told that nothing could be done. Hence, another good reason for 2 stars. read more

I took a fleet vehicle to them due to squealing and grinding of the brakes and the horn not working. Note: I had taken the vehicle to Pep Boys who advised me the last time the brakes were worked on, Firestone put new pads on bad rotors (unknown which Firestone completed the last brake job.) I was advised to take the truck to Firestone by my employer. I advised Firestone La Habra of the same issue. I received a call back stating there was nothing wrong with the brakes, that they were possibly rusty and that hey had completed a full horn function diagnostic test,$99. They told me to come pick up the truck and no work would be done. The 1st application of the brakes leaving the store, I still have the same squealing and grinding coming from the brakes. As for the horn it didn't look as if they did anything. I opened up the fuse box and pulled out the fuse for the horn, inspected it, it was not blown. I put the fuse back in and BEEEEP!!! I went in for an oil change. The total was $114. They called and said there was a nail in my front driver's side tire that needed to be patched and that I needed a new cabin air filter. They said the total all in would be $276. As a female, I felt I was getting scammed. Called my fiancé, we went to another car shop. They couldn't find the nail in my front tire, but found one in the rear tire that did not need to be plugged, not patched! They fixed both my tire and cabin air filter for $46!!!! I've been a loyal client to this chain since they purchased Express tires. While traveling to Placentia, CA to my son's swim competition, I've got my tire damaged to the point that it had to be replaced. Since my car has Firestone tires, the first place I went was Firestone ( obvious choice) I explained to the person at the counter that I am in a very tough situation , I need to be back with my son to his competition in 2,5-3 hours , then I have to drive back to San Diego. It was Saturday, so everything would be closed when the competition is over. The gentlemen at the counter has a look and attitude of someone who just got out of bed and doesn't want to be disturbed. There were no customers besides me in the office. He asked me if I have an appointment. Of course I didn't. I told him - You have a tire that I need in stock and replacing the tire is literally 10 min. Why can't you help out a long term customer. He said, I won't be able to do it in two hours, sorry but you have to find another business. So I did, and they didn't have the tire in stock, and there was a line of customers. Their manager went above and beyond and personally went to get the Firestone tire for me. It took him an hour to bring the tire and 10-15 min to replace. That's why they are rated 5 stars on Yelp. I live very close to this Firestone, and I have gone here for many years for a variety of things. Recently I had my car checked up, oil change, etc. I made an appointment ahead of time, and talked to John Rodriguez, who has been the manager there for years. John has always been courteous and professional, as are his employees, and he goes out of his way to be sure that his customers are happy with the service they receive. This time I went in and was greeted with a smile, by Stephanie, who is always very helpful and patient. Everyone there is very gracious and makes you feel welcome. I was fortunate that John was there that day, and we had a nice conversation. I arrived at my appointment time, and they took my car right away. I had to wait for it that day, and I was prepared for a long wait, because they are very busy at this location. They finished my car much sooner than I thought they would, probably a lot less than two hours. They did everything I needed, and then some, and I am very happy with the friendly and efficient service I got. I was especially happy with the quick, efficient service. If you're looking for any kind of help with car related issues, give these guys a try. You will not be disappointed. read more

The last time I was here, the service was great. I came in for an alignment and they were able to get me out in an hour or so; this is with an appointment. I am here again for another alignment. This time I didn't have an appointment but I was out of there in within an hour. I recommend getting their lifetime alignment service. In the long run, you will save money. Since my car is enrolled with this service, I did not pay a cent for today's visit :) Also, if you want to just hang out there, then they have free water and hot coffee in their lounge area (nothing fancy but still something). I brought the car for full synthetic oil change, " despite the fact that i go spend more money with less time with Valvoline" I decided to go and do the Tire Alignment and balance. I went to the store on Saturday, i had an appointment at 1:00 pm. They kept the car for 7 hours. Was hoping that i will have the perfect service, i paid over $200 and what i end up having is a nightmare. After the second trip i had the engine light came on, so i went to O'Riley, used their code scanner, and i have a code which is clearly says the issue is related to the oil valve. I parked the car, didn't use for a day and took time off from work, as a respectful person taking another appointment online, appointment was confirmed with a reservation number. The appointment is for today at 3:00 pm. Now the story begins when I enter and tell the person who works that i have an appointment today. The guy's name is Andrew, he is the most disrespectful person i have ever met in my entire life. Didn't even want to listen, didn't bother to listen to my problem, didn't offer to help, bursted in my face, what he said is come back tomorrow I don't have anyone today for you, and he turned and left me standing alone . When i asked him let me speak to your manager, he sarcastically answered and said, you're looking at him. And he left!!!!! This place is so disorganized and horribly operated. I made an appointment for a 9am oil change knowing I would have kids with me and without an appointment would probably take all day. I was informed while checking in it would take 2-3 hours. "Even with my appointment?" I ask. I was told that because other cars had been there since 7am, I had to wait. When I argued "that's the point of having an appointment, the other cars that don't have appointments have to wait or get paused on." She said, no the appointment gives me a 3 hour wait time instead of all day. I decided to leave, obviously there are plenty of other places to get an oil change and have my car serviced. I've had lots is services done at Firestone, the customer service is always horrible but I go back because most things are unplanned and you just need it done. No more! lol! They are good for tires, but I don't recommend for other services specifically brakes or balance issues. You should read all the reviews why they got 3/5 stars from 100+ customers. They know what they are good at, so very responsive and kind on tire related job, and that was the reason why I trusted them for many years until then screwed up my brakes. My car started vibrating at brake after they replaced my brake pad last year. I brought up that issue so They checked wheel balance and rotors, but couldn't find any clue and advised it would get better as the new brake pad get used. I had to came back two more time again as it got worse and this time they advised to change pads for other axle and rotors later. The issue's been persistent until now but they are ignoring the problem. Everyone sits in my car worries the vibration at brake, worst between 50 to 40 mph, but they said it's normal even after test drive. read more

I did not want to do this but I have to. This site and their corpate care service is a joke. I went there 1 hour before they were to close, no cars in the bays and I was told sorry they could not do an oil change because they are closed. I talked to the mancanic outside and he stated that I'm do what I'm told I have to clean up because we are closing soon. When I asked the person at the front desk for the corporate number he told me to look it up. I asked for the manager information he pointed to the business card and said it's right there. I asked for his name and he did not want to give it to me. Come to find out when I looked at his business card he was a manager. Shame on him. I looked up corporate number and called them. I asked to talk to a corporate rep and they said ok. They also said it could take up to 3 day. Spoiler they still have not called me. A week later the store manager called me and I told him I did not want to talk to him but wanted to talk to corporate. I called corporate still no call The district manager called me I told him my story and told him that I was waiting for corporate to call back. He started that he would let them know. Still no call. I have called there corporate care number many times. They were so tired of me calling that they finally forward me to a corporate voice mail. Still no call. So if you looking for no help and people that don't care about you or you car then this is the place. I believe good customer service starts at the top and work it's way down... that is not what happens here. I had scheduled an appointment with Firestone Complete Auto Care online to repair a flat tire on my 2013 Dodge Charger RT Daytona. My appointment was scheduled for 9:00 A.M., however, the car was not put onto the rack until 11:00 A.M. After about 20 minutes, I was told that a nail had punctured the tire. In addition, they found a sharp piece of metal embedded in the right rear tire in between the tread. They informed me that the rear tire needed to be replaced but, they did not have that specific tire in stock. The front tire was patched, and the damaged rear tire was replaced with the factory spare tire. The Technician, Ernesto, noted on the Courtesy Check list that he broke the lock lug on the right rear. The paperwork was re-inspected and signed off by Dillen; however, they did not bring it to my attention or, offer to replace the damaged lock lug at that time. After driving the car home, I noticed that one of the lug nuts was dented and scratched; and the wheel was damaged. In addition, one lug nut did not match the others. I drove the car back to Firestone and complained to Dillen that it was completely UNACCEPTABLE that the Company allows vehicles to be retuned to customers in that condition. Dillen agreed to replace the damaged lugs and lug locks; along with repairing the damaged wheel. I scheduled an appointment online for the following week to have the repairs done; however, on the day of my appointment I received a call from a Firestone employee telling that my appointment was being canceled because, they were extremely busy from having a power outage the previous day. It's obvious that Firestone Complete Auto Care lacks honesty and integrity and, they do not value customer service or satisfaction. Since I DO NOT trust Firestone's incompetent mechanics to work on ANY of my vehicles, I have decided to pay for the damages myself and, let this review serve as a WARNING to others. This store has ALWAYS been like this for years & years. I live close by & you NEVER seen a lot of cars waiting for service. If you go to the Brea store they always have a lot of people waiting for service. Avoid this store at all cost - it's worth the drive to Brea if you want Firestone. I always find it funny when companies want you to work for them for free by giving them feedback or just like they offer you free service to come to a business like this that has a long history of crappy service. By far the worst service I have ever had. Do not come here if you need something done. Came here to get my brakes done and they said my brakes were fine all I needed was a brake fluid flush and an adjustment. That cost me $141 dollars and my brakes are still the same. When they did my brake flush they also checked my battery and told me my battery was low. A battery that I had just bought in December of 2019. So I decided to get a battery with them and asked that they check the whole electrical system (alternator, starter). 5hrs later still no update (no call back), so i decided to call and see what was going on with my truck. They told me they were gonna keep it over night because they didn't get to it. I never told them they could keep it overnight. Matter of fact, I directly stated I needed it back sameday! Visit ultimately ended with me requesting that they just replace the battery, so I can go on my way and never have to deal with this location again. How this place got as many stars at it did, is beyond me. So if you have to get work done on your vehicle don't drive/tow your car here. I highly recommend somewhere/anywhere else. This is not a shop you want to call for help. Here's what happened. The sidewall of my tire was coming undone and I needed new tires ASAP before they blew. I called around and got a hold of Grant at this location. He assured me they can get the tires I needed the next day. He even price matched them with America's Tires advertised price. Told me I don't need to shop around because they'll take care of me. The next day he called to let me know the tires I needed won't arrive til the following day (adding another day). I said that's fine. Confirmed the tire and decided to not drive my truck. The day of my install I called the shop and spoke to Trent (I believe that was his name). This person was beyond rude. He told me that not only did they not order the correct tires for me but that it'll take an additional two-three days to receive them and the he won't honor the price match Grant promised. Then he said sure IF I payed the freight (delivery fee) which would come out to MORE than the original cost. When I told him this isn't ok. They promised me one thing and now they're changing the price on me (we're talking over $500 difference) and they're changing the date promised to install. I said this isn't ok you guys promised me I'd have my tires a day ago and at a price match. He pretty much told me I can go to America's tire and get it there. Guess what I did. I called America's Tire (which I should have done in the first place). Not only did they not change prices on me but had the tires installed next day at no extra costs. No headache. The reps there were all amazing and helpful. This is NOT a Firestone I'd recommend to anyone. I hope no one else experiences what I did. But do yourself a favor. Call around. I returned from a previous service to have my key fob issue resolved per my service manager, this would be zero cost since it couldn't be fixed in the first visit in which I replaced all my tires and sensors. I also requested a brake check, which to my surprise didn't happen when I had my tires replaced 3 weeks earlier. The first time I was called regarding my cars progress was only a few hours, I left it for drop off so that didn't bother me. the first item that should have been discussed was my key fob and tire sensor, unfortunately that was not the case. I was then told I needed to spend around $550 on my brake service but they had yet to even work on my tire sensor and key fob. It was then they decided to get someone out to work on it. Fast forward a few hours and I am called to be told that my key fob will not be programmed like promised and my tire sensor could not be reset. This was extremely upsetting because I purchased a brand new key fob per their request in order to get the tire sensor to reset. Now, once I realized I was going to have to go to a Chevy dealer and pay another charge to reset the sensor and key fob I asked for my vehicle to be completed and went to pick it up. When I got to the store they helped me quickly and I was going to be on my way, except one small detail. My new key fob that I paid for was missing. Turns out, someone left the key fob on top of the car, and it fell off and was broken in their service drive. Although John paid me back for the Key Fob I am still going to have to take more time out of my schedule to take it and pay out of pocket at a dealer for the rest of the service. I wish I could say I was satisfied with my overall service but I am just not. John was kind during the ordeal, I felt as if the store was far too busy for anyone to have received good customer service. They need to organize their management, and their expectations for customers. Instead of trying to slam as many people and revenue as possible into a short Saturday, they should be focusing on the quality of the services being provided rather than the quantity of the services they can fit in. read more

Took car there for air conditioning not cooling. They tried to BS me saying system leaked and needed both AC hoses and estimate over a thousand dollars. I asked they guy to show me where the leaks were and to show me where the leaks were fluorescent. He used a regular flashlight and just illuminated the ends of the hoses. Total bs!!!!. Took car elsewhere 3 weeks ago and had ac recharged, no leaks founds and cooling great 3 weeks and counting now. I tried to schedule an appt with Firestone Complete Care in La Habra for an oil change and an alignment yesterday, 7/27/19. Note: car was in desperate need of an alignment. It was extremely pulling to the right. At about closing time my car was ready to go home. While driving home I noticed that my car was still pulling to the right! I called but no answer at Firestone. Tried to set up another online appt for 7/28/19. Today, 7/28/19 no call or email from Firestone confirming my appt time of 12pm so I called the store at ~12:05pm. Grant answered the phone and I explained that my car was still pulling to the right. He said he would look into it and call me back in 10-15 minutes. At a little after 3pm Grant still had not called back so I called the store again. This time Andy (store supervisor) answered. I brought my car in again and the staff rotated the tires and told me that the pulling to the right would be fixed IF I bought all new tires. I did anticipate having to spend $400 so I asked John if I was able to use my Firestone card even though I didn't have it on hand and that it had been a long time since I last used it. He assured me that this would be no problem. So I moved forward with getting new tires since I was told this would resolve my problem. By the time the new tires were put on John was gone and Grant was trying to close me out. I explained to him that I was going to use my Firestone card. He tried to call Firestone customer service but they had gone to the day. Grant then told me that "I can go ahead and pay by ATM or credit card". I told him no so he contacted his manager. As I was driving home I found that my car was STILL pulling to the right. Fraud! Staff is inept. I spoke to area manager and took my car to a the firestone in Buena Park. Very honest work here. I needed an oil change and called numerous places inquiring about prices, ranging between $80-$100 (full synthetic). When calling this Firestone location, John answered the phone and was able to add a coupon on my balance to take an additional $15 off, and quoted me by far the lowest price of the day. Although they were busy, he stated he'd be able to take me in at 2:00pm ( I called at 1:15pm). After arriving, I was assisted by another younger gentleman who was very friendly and assisted me in the beginning steps. Although I arrive 30 minutes earlier, they still took my car in and began working on it. One hour later I came back to check up, my vehicle was done and John helped check me out. You always hear of shady mechanics or maintenance places giving you all their "suggestions", trying to sell you more and possibly unnecessary services, but this was not the case. John was very straight forward with everything, not trying to sell me anything. He answered all my questions with honesty and integrity. I brought my car for a brake inspection. The dash ABS light was on. I phoned earlier and was able to make a same-day appointment. So when I arrived they were expecting me and the pleasant desk staff found me in their system and wrote up the paperwork. They did an initial check and did not see any issues, but he said he would call me within two hours. Around 2 hours, Firestone called me and let me know that they did not find any issues with the pads or brakes. The ABS light was probably on because of a faulty light or module and they recommended I have the dealer look at. With me bringing the car in for a brake inspection and the ABS light on, they had a profitable opportunity to tell me that I needed a brake job. They did not do that, they take on the honesty policy that is posted in the lobby. I'm typically distrusting when it comes to car repair services, but my trust level has increased with this Firestone center. read more

I've tried to be patient with this group because the staff is very friendly and professional. They act like they care but they really don't have a grasp of "Customer Service" but they fake it very well. Four visits I made with them for pretty routine procedures yet they all took a minimum of 3 hours AND I had an appointment every time. A flat tire, which I bought from them AND they told me they had at their facility.. three hours. Three oil changes...... each took three hours. Are they using a eye dropper to change the oil?! It takes me 30 minutes to change the oil at home but it takes them three hours? When I politely and very calmly mentioned this to Melissa she seemed stoic as if she hears it all the time. I believe four chances is enough to make an informed decision. Firestone.... never again!
