If there was an option for 0 stars, that is what I would be giving!! 1st, All I came for was an oil change. And of course the guy starts telling me all these extra parts and services I am "going to need". I kindly refused. I just needed an oil change. Nothing else. Then, they told us the usual, "It'll be a few hours to wait". Fine, I'll walk around Vons and wait. Thinking after 2 hours of the car being pulled in 'everything is going fine', I get a call. They were not done, nor had started the oil change. And they were not going to do it. I had wasted 2 hours for my car to just sit there. BUT THEN HE TRIES TO TELL ME, the bolt is stripped, I need to pay $365 for a new pan!!! !?!?! No thank you. I took my service somewhere else. And much to my surprise, NOTHING was wrong with my Jeep. Firestone was trying to screw me out of money! They did not even attempt to do an oil change. It is NOT okay to do this to a young female and try to take advantage of them. So any dads with daughters, or young single females, STAY CLEAR!!! They will do anything to get you to pay big bucks!! read more

Put my car in for a SIMPLE alignment. Was supposed to take 2 hours max. They ended up closing the shop and not calling me at all for my car so it's just locked in there when I didn't give them permission to keep it overnight. Never taking my car here again. read more

Salesmen. That just about sums up what this Firestone is all about. If you don't know about cars, you could very easily be taken advantage of here with fancy words that end up with you paying a high price for simple jobs. My fiance went here for a tuneup. She was under the impression that they were going to replace the timing chain, but instead they did: - An oil change - 'tune-up'.I still don't know what counts as a tuneup. I'm guessing it means they looked at the car and charged you for it. - Spark plug replacement. This cost over $250. To give you an impression of how much this SHOULD cost: Oil and spark plugs don't cost more than $40-$50. This is easily done with 1 hour labor, with time to spare. 1 hour of labor + $40-$50 in materials (and not even that) does not equal $250+, even if you go by the recommended hourly labor rate. Needless to say, I was pretty upset. My fiance went here not wanting to bother us with her car problems, and they ended up taking full advantage of a person who is not car savvy at all. read more

I don't like dealerships or car repair places-I'll start with that. They are typically wreck less with fixing issues, and over charge you where they see fit. However, some things; such as installing tires on wheels is not something I can do by myself, and so I find myself here at Firestone in La Habra. I went in on a Monday, and setup an appoint,net for the next day(Tuesday if you don't know haha) since they had the tires in stock that I wanted. I walk in and am greeted by Adan, who is helping another customer and he informs me he'll be with me shortly. After helping the elderly gentleman in front of me, he inquired as to my visit and quickly pulled up my appointment. Adan was helpful in explaining the entire process, and had new tires on my SUV quickly. Afterward he reviewed some work that needs to be done on my car, with all of it being required and/or due because of mileage. All REQUIRED work he suggest are things I need(such as a worn belt and wheel alignment). He was not pushy, and simply stated that if I'd like to have the work done, he would setup the appointment for me to complete some or all of the quoted items. So, based on my experience, I am happy to report that everything went smoothly and I am happy with my choice to have new tires installed here. read more

Don't go here. Find another place. They will recommend a service for your car that isn't needed. I came inbfor new tires this weekend and they didn't follow instructions to change out the spare tire.I had to come back the next day because they were closing. Also I did a tune up the weekend prior and they recommend a spark plug change. Also they recommended a cooling system flush but I also had the water pump changed and the antifreeze wad changed at that time. Do don't go here and find another place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Firestone's customer service has been contact me regarding the bad experience issue. Their respond is fairly fast, and that shows they are really concerned about the review on Yelp. But the explanation was the same old story, he says, this employee is no longer with them and that was her last day, so maybe that's why she wasn't perform as their standard requirement service. If I visit them next time, I will find out they have and excellent customer service, and they will service for a flat tire even at their off office hour. Well, this was my first time here with an emergency matter, but I got sent away by an upset or a pissed off employee. I don't think there will be a next time though. I had a tire with low air so I took it to firestone to get patched. They said it would take a little over an hour since there were several people ahead of me and I didn't have an appointment. After working on the tire for some time they said it couldn't be repaired and showed me where and explained why. They provided quotes for two and four tires and when I said I had a quote elsewhere, they were able to price match. I had two kids with me so I told them I would sent my husband in the next few days. They installed my full sized spare and didn't charge me anything for the repair attempt or installing my spare. The gentleman gave me a print out of the quote so I could come back and get the same price. I would also like to add that the woman at the front desk gave my daughter a balloon to keep her entertained and put on cartoons for my brother. Overall, they accurately quoted the time it would take, gave me a great price and were very friendly. I will definitely be returning! read more

Wow 6 years ago, I wrote a great review about this Firestone store, I been coming to this store for longer then 6 years and so far this year is been the worst ever! From recommending repairs that they did it themselves months before(no defect or need to repair the "recommended" item) to made me go back to the store for re-work on my car, so always repair the faulty item but I have to pay them for labor?? I spend $1000.00 on a repair item goes bad have to come back and pay them more money?? I guess they tray to find a sucker out of me, but enough is enough, this place needs a clearing house and get more reliable writers and mechanics, this place sucks read more

What great customer service! I have been turned away from other places so many times because I have a fleet vehicle and it's a process to get things approved and wait for payment from the fleet company. I was assured by Michael that they welcome fleet vehicles and will never turn away fleet customers. When I arrived to pick up my car I requested new wiper blades. Waited about 5 minutes for an approval from the fleet company and it was starting to rain, approval didn't come in but Michael went ahead and gave me new wiper blades anyway so I can drive safe in the rain. I am astonished and very happy! read more

This is my go to place for oil changes, alignments, tire purchases and tire rotations. I have been taking all my cars there for the past 9 years. Nice friendly customer service people at the front desk who are always willing to work with my schedule to fit my cars in for service. Plus their techs saved my Tundra in the fall of 2020. Back in Sept 2020 I punctured one of my front tires so I took my truck in to the shop to purchase a new tire and have it installed. Their service tech did one other courtesy inspections while my truck was in the service bay and they discovered that I had a leak in my engine coolant after I had the truck serviced at the dealership just a few weeks earlier. Coolant bottle was practically empty. This was in the middle of a heat wave. Had they not performed this courtesy inspection I'm sure I would have blown the motor had they not pointed this out to me as I drive my truck a lot for work! The attitudes of the workers are great. Awesome people, great gestures, and very friendly. I only gave a 4/5 because if you're looking for a go-in and get-out type situation, they might not always provide that. My service took about 3 hours to finish, but benefit of the doubt, they might have been slammed with a lot of cars. Who knows. I'm pretty patient but if you have further errands you need to do with the convenience of a car, you'll need to really plan ahead and strategize when bringing your car in. Other than that, I'd return if I have a free day and need some maintenance. Cheers! read more

Not just the full great customer service but they really work with you to help you get what you need. All of the workers are very helpful and try to give you as much knowledge as they can. I went to Firestone yday (my usual place is closed on Sunday) to have them inspect my tire to see if there was a nail or hole because my tire light kept coming on. I dropped it off at 12 and they said it should be ready by 4:30. I told them that if the tire just needs to be patched up then they don't need to call me and to just do the repair, but if they need to change the tire, to give me a call. It was after 4 and I didn't receive a call so I safely assumed that the tire just needed to be patched up. I got there after 4:30 and when I got there, they still hadn't inspected my car. It would have been nice for them to have let me know in advance that it wasn't ready. When they inspected my tire, I was told that I needed a new tire because the nail was in an area that couldn't be fixed. They asked me if I wanted to get a new tire or have them put on the spare. Knowing that places like Firestone tend to charge more for their tires compared to the place I usually go to, I declined getting a new replacement. So when I went to another place to buy a new tire today, they said that there was no need and that they patched it up. This affirmed that I was glad that I chose not to buy a tire from Firestone yday.. seems like they were just trying to sell me a new tire. It was a waste of my time and I won't be coming back. read more

I had my brake pads replaced here about 2 years ago. 6 months after that, my steering wheel vibrated like crazy when braking. Took it back to them to find out they put in the WRONG type of brake pad. They replaced the brake pads but I had to pay for rotor repair since they were warped. 4 months after that, the same thing happens. Steering wheel vibration and feedback when I brake. Took it back to them and long story short, they replaced my brake pads and rotors with parts "that exceeded the manufacturer's suggestion." Yeah right. The problem occurred AGAIN! So this time I took it to the KIA dealer. Told them my situation. They said that the ROTORS were NOT replaced so now I had to get new rotors and brake pads AGAIN. I will never take my car to Firestone again. Apparently, they lie about replacing parts and install inferior parts. read more

I came into Firestone for a quick $19.99 oil change, I was in and out within 30 minutes. Jennifer was friendly and thorough. She even listened and answered my five-year-old's 20 question and made him feel special by giving him a cool sticker! Jennifer let me know that I needed new tires (I already knew this but had been avoiding the subject for the last two oil changes :/) Jennifer gave me a quote on four new tires, after calling around to a few tire places I knew that It was a fair price. I made an appointment for 11 today and they took my car right in and my car was done in the time that they had told me it would be. I will be back here every three months for my regular oil change and my FREE TIRE ROTATION (included in the purchase of the tires!!) Just got back from having an oil change, and was helped by John and Edwin, both very attentive and great with customers. Edwin even gave an extra $5 for my oil change, knocking it down to $19.99. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that they didn't do a quick brake check - I just would have figured that by having an oil change, an alignment, and a tire rotation they would have included checking the brakes as part of the courtesy check to see if I needed anything. You have to specifically request that - now I know. Otherwise this is my go-to Firestone, and will continue to be. Highly-recommend. read more

I will make this short as possible, they charged my son $40 to fix a flat, they charged him for a TPMS kit AND install, when it didn't need it, the tire that had a nail was only a couple months old, and they had just replaced the TPMS a couple months ago we will not be going back there for anything read more

I stopped by here a few weeks ago to replace some worn tires on my CX-9 and was well taken care of by John. He recommended a great set of tires which I've now broken in and ride even better and quieter. He was clearly very knowledgeable and made quick work on my car to get back to me well before expected. First time i came in October 2017 the young girl was at the service desk. She was very polite and and had my car taken care of right away. I came in for new tires, all 4 were balled. She told me it would take 3 hrs and to be back by 6pm. As i went home waited patiently for 6pm to come around the car was still not ready. She informed me they had there oldest and slowest tech on my car cuz he was the only one left for the evening. When i got to the shop at 630pm it still wasn't done and she apologized. My car wasn't done till 7pm and it seemed like he was rushing to put the last tire. Needless to say, started off good but ended long and dreadful. read more

Whenever something goes wrong with my car, I know I can count on Firestone to help me out, as cliche as that may sound! Customer service has ALWAYS been past my expectations. They are very pleasant and welcoming, and answer my questions clearly and concisely. Especially Edwin and I believe his name is Robert, forgive me. They are usually the ones at the front desk. Since I'm at their shop frequently, they tend to recognize me. They are very mindful about the fact I am a college student on a tight budget. They work hard to find deals and promotions they can apply to help me out. My father taught me a few things about cars, so I appreciate when they explain to me about issues or logistics, they don't talk down to me. A lot of other mechanic shops I've been to assume that I am completely unaware of my car. It has a fair pricing overall, although sometimes I look for better deals on tires and what not when I can. If I could afford it, I would go to them 100% of the time! As far as times, they are excellent about time estimations, even calling me when they finish early, which is usually what happens. Just the other day I came in for an oil change around 3:00 pm. They told me an hour and half, it was done in 45 minutes. The greatest thing about this place is when I have an emergency with any vehicle I have. They are great at reassuring me, as I tend to panic when anything major goes on, and even when I come when they are about to close, they help me out. Thank you to everyone at Firestone! Bought my tires through Costco but due to Costco had their own policy, i had to find a place that will install my tires. Mr. Edwin is the service manager here and he was very helpful. Very honest and service was done on time. He mentioned that they price match for the tires so now most likely i will be coming here instead of purchasing through Costco. Near by, it has many different stores so you can walk and run some errands and go shopping! read more

This place has bad customer service! There was a line of a couple people waiting and the workers behind the desk were talking about random stuff (nothing to do with the cars) myself and another lady waited 10 minutes till one of us could be helped. Then when it came to my turn they said I would have to leave my car there for the rest of the day to do just an OIL CHANGE because they're too busy (I saw two cars in the shop and 2 people waiting). And let me just say that if they spent more time being productive and less chatty maybe they wouldn't have to turn people away read more

Went in Sunday around 4:30 for an emergency tire repair. I had a nail in my tire that was leaking air pretty bad and I was 45 miles away from home with no spare (my car isn't equipped with one). The gentleman at the counter greeted me and I let him know my situation. His exact words were, "yeah I can't do any repairs I have too much work to do already. I can check the pressure for you though?" No thanks genius, I don't need you to check the pressure to let me know it's flat! They close at 6pm and I know a flat repair takes 10-15min. I then asked him if there was any other shops he can recommend that are open and he said "not on a Sunday" condescendingly! So I drove my car with a flat tire a few miles down the road to Pep Boys at 125 W Imperial HWY in La Habra where the guys were super helpful, even though they were busy, and fixed my flat in under 30min AND gave me $10 off! Now that's customer service! I would recommend avoiding this Firestone and going to Pep Boys on Imperial Hwy and asking for Walter (he's super helpful and great customer service.) read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I took my car in for nothing but a transmission flush. I ask then what it entails( even though I already know) just to be sure. I'm charged 170$ for a flush. Like most people I worry taking my car anywhere so I always watch when my car is getting work done. No matter where or what. I see them pull my car up and begin their work. They pull out the transmission flush machine that will flush all the liquid transmission out of my car, and set it next to my car. I see them begin to drain the fluid naturally by just removing the cap. They fill my car with transmission fluid once and set my car down. Not once did they touch the machine and they only drain and filled my transmission. ( in order to do a flush by drain and fill, you must do that same process over about 3 times) I walk in ask if they had flushed my transmission. They say yes. I told them I had watched everything and they call the mechanic in. He begins to get all pissy with me saying the machine can't be hooked up to my car because it is a CVT, even though it isn't. I drive a 2010 honda civic(1.8L automatic) After my explaining to him I saw everything, he finally says to just charge me for a drain and fill. I end up being charged 47$. Big difference from 170$ Not once do I get and apology or an explaination for what happened. If I had never spoke up they would have tried to get by me with that. After calling corporate and everything I ended up with my full refund. Never going to that or any firestone again. I wouldn't suggest anyone else go. read more

I have been to this firestone in the past with no real problems, but today they definitely deserve a 1/5 stars. Sure, they're not typically the fastest, but I can deal with that. What I can NOT deal with is the complete disregard they apparently have for respecting people's appointments. I went in last night for an oil change and they said it would be several hours and I would have to leave the car. Instead, I asked if I could make an appointment for today. I got there right on time and they told me again that they were unable to take me, and I would need to leave the car for several hours. What was the point of making an appointment and my going all the way back there it doesn't mean I will be seen promptly? Clearly they don't have any respect for their customers time. Was told it would take 2 hours to repair a nail in my tire. Then was told I needed a new tire because the nail was in the side wall. They never offered to show me. Took my car to a different place and within 15 minutes my tire was patched. They also showed me the nail was not in the side wall so I didnt need a new tire after all. I question the competency and honesty of this place. Will never go back or recommend to anyone. read more

I visited this location earlier this week for a simple brake inspection - it had been 20,000 miles and it was time to take a look. I made a reservation for 8:00 AM and showed up at 7:55 to drop off my car. I was told that it would take one hour, so I crossed the street to delicious delicious chick-fil-a. Two hours later I still hadn't heard from Firestone, so I walked back across the street. I spoke to the cashier, who told me that I had plenty of brake pads left in a voice that made it sound like I was intentionally wasting their time. He then told me that they would put my car back together so I could go. Well, that took them over an hour. As a matter of fact, after an hour I walked back up to the counter to see my keys sitting there, but apparently no one wanted to tell me that they were done. All in all what was supposed to be a one hour service turned into over 3 hours. Firestone wasted my morning by not living up to their estimate of how long it would take, and gave me attitude about my visit too. I will never, never, never, never, never visit this location again. read more

Came in for an oil change and brake check on Sunday. I pre paid to not worry about it later because I didn't want them to upsell me for the checkup deal for $20 which I declined (I forgot the actually price). I get a call at 4:20pm stating to pickup my car and they've been closed 20min. It clearly states they close 6:00pm. Not knowing that, I was not available to pickup my car that day. That's fine, next morning I come to pickup my car, I arrive there 6:30am, 30 min before they open. I see them opening up and prepping for the morning and let the rep in the garage know I'm here to pickup my car. He says i have to wait until they open. All they have to do is give me the keys since I pre paid, but they make me wait 30 min until they open just to do that. Once they open, the guy at the cashier was never told anything by the other guy in the garage. I get my car back and there's grease stains inside my cloth door panels and glove compartment. GG I check my receipt and they charged me extra $$ for their "free brake inspection" under their check up deal that I clearly declined when I paid early . I'm going to contact corporate because this is deceptive. I have proof from my phone records and receipt of everything. I'm reasonable but this location really tries to rip you off and upsell you if they can get away with it. I strongly don't recommend this location. Go to the other sister locations, I've have good experiences with them. read more
