I recently visited the Lockhart Firestone location for a standard four-wheel balance and alignment on my Ram truck. I specifically requested a road-force match balance to correct a vibration at highway speeds, but was told the shop did not have the equipment. I chose to proceed with a standard balance and alignment. After they kept my truck for the entire day, I called one hour before closing to check the status. I was told--by someone who could barely communicate clearly--that none of the work had been completed because "the machine was down." I asked the employee to contact another Firestone location and arrange priority service since I had a trip early the next morning. Instead, he told me that I could call around myself. I had to stop him and explain that good customer service would be to take responsibility for the inconvenience and make an effort to resolve the issue. When I arrived to pick up my truck, I found it parked on the side of the building with every door left unlocked, another example of the carelessness at this location. The employee then informed me that he had called a store in Bastrop but that I would not make it before they closed, so "there was nothing he could do." He also stated that their alignment machine was down and, finally, that he could not balance my tires because my factory wheels were "bent." His dismissive attitude made it clear that there was no intention of performing the work. He notified me that, as a courtesy, he wouldn't charge me--but insisted I needed new wheels. Immediately afterward, I contacted the Firestone location in Kyle and explained the situation. Jeff, the service advisor there, got me in first thing the next morning and completed both the alignment and the tire balance without any issues whatsoever. When I returned from my trip, I attempted to complete the Firestone customer satisfaction survey to make corporate aware of my experience. The link had already expired--further demonstrating how little attention Firestone appears to pay to customer experience. Needless to say, I will not be returning to the Lockhart Firestone for any services. The Kyle location earned my business, but the Lockhart store showed a clear lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer care. read more

Customer service is dead at this location! Brought my car here because it was the closet preferred facility near me because it was under warranty. First go around they had my car a week and released it to me. THEY SCRATCHED MY CAR on the passenger side so I did not notice until my car broke down again less than 24 hours. Had to have it towed to them again, informed the manager Damian right away of the scratch. Second time they had my car a month! NEVER ONCE have they called me to update me and everytime I would call a guy named Shaun would pretty much blame me for buying a car from Carvana, even though he's a "mechanic" and his shop failed to fix the car right the first time! So I picked up the car finally and was told an area manager would contact me about the damage caused, that was a month ago, SO I call again a week ago expecting a call STILL NOTHING!! After reading the reviews seems like a common thing that this location has horrible drivers and can't take care of customer vehicles or take responsibility for it! HORRIBLE LOCATION!!! Ordered tires through their website on Monday and set up appointment to install the tires that following Thursday. Received confirmation email from them. Arrived for my appointment and the guy behind the counter tells me they have no tires for me. Something about it not being a common tire they sell. He told me he could order me the tires but it would be another five days. Don't waste your time or money with this place. read more

Got tires from them and paid extra for the road warranty. Went yesterday 4/17/2023 at 2pm for them to check two tires. Both passenger side tires. Back tire had a nail going through the tread and sidewall got it replaced no problem. Front passenger side they claimed was nothing wrong with it. This morning of 4/18/2023 I walked out to go somewhere and front passenger side was completely flat. Luckily I was able to air it up and take it to Firestone. When I got there the girl working the front desk said it would be like 2 hours to be seen and I couldn't even make an appointment because that would take even longer. Smh read more

I live in Austin, but the the staff at the Lockhart location is worth writing about. They are AMAZING. From the moment we walked in to the moment our car left, they were extremely friendly, accommodating, and professional. It was refreshing to work with a staff that felt trustworthy and genuine throughout the entire interaction. Set up an appointment for 4:30pm at 1:00pm same day.. came in at 4:20 and told the guy I had an appointment at 4:30 he looks at the computer and tells me.. did you not get an email saying I can't get to you today? I said no I did not get an email he said well sometimes it takes a few hours to receive those cancellation emails his like I won't be able to get your car in today but you can leave it here if you want and will get to it tomorrow.. like wtf first of all his body language was off he knew he was lying because if he knows the emails take hours to receive he could have gave me a courtesy call to let me know they would have to reschedule me or cancel on me instead he lied and started clicking away I told my husband when we walked out upset from there watch him suddenly send the email.. and guess what he send it as soon as we walked out smh why lie and just admit you messed up by not calling us smh so much dishonesty when I simply we where busy sorry for not calling you guys would be alright. read more

I showed up at 4pm Saturday for a last minute oil Change. Ashley was very friendly and said they could get it knocked out. I could tell they were extremely busy but she didn't reflect any stress on her face. Truck was done in a little over an hour. Every time I go here they give me excellent service. One thing on the customer side is you have to have patience!! Let them do your repair right for you. Stress = mess!! Go enjoy some of the best BBQ in the world while you wait!! I was quoted an amount to get my truck fixed but when I went to check out there were so many add-ons that I wasn't made aware of that I had to pay several hundred dollars more than the original quote. I really needed my vehicle as I really needed to get to my job as a nurse in Austin so I didn't complain. But it actually gets worse. Before I left he tried to sell me some other services I didn't even need. DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS unless you don't mind being lied to and ripped off! Made appointment 3 days prior to have four tires mounted and balanced, also check alignment ......it was confined by Firestone. Show up on time, 3 days later, 8:00am on the dot. Dumb bitch with weird eyebrows said oh you did it on line, are you Jake...needs to know if my truck has leather seats or not, If it's a diesel or a gas. I said what does it cost to get wheel and tire mounted, no answer also tells me the alignment guy is off today. I had a great experience at Firestone today. I had a really long day at my Apiary just outside of town. As I am leaving Lockhart my low tire pressure light came on. I had run over something and my tire was going flat fast. It was 6:30pm the guys were happy to help and didn't even have a problem with my 2 dogs being in the car. I honestly was very hesitant to come to Firestone with my very flat tire after having an awful experience with a flat at the Firestone in Austin. Seeing as this is the only place in Lockhart to get a tire I was forced to come here and hoped they would change my mind about Firestone. Luckily, the changed my mind. They quoted my car to be done at 7pm today and by my surprise it was done before noon! I will definitely be giving this Firestone my business again. read more

These people are crooks!!! My wife took the car in for brakes. She was told it would be over $300 for front and rear pads, and two new rotors. I called Manny to see why we needed new rotors, and why they could not just turn them. Manny said they were already worn down and if they turned them any more it would be below spec. When I questioned him more about the fairly new rotors needing to be replaced, he went on about how he had this vehicle that the needed new rotors after the first time also, and how you don't want to mess around with the brakes...I didn't believe a word Manny was saying. Well needless to say, they were asked to put the car back together. When my wife went to pick up the car she was told the rotors were fine (They didn't measure them correctly). For about $100 they could put on the brake pads without needing new rotors. The immediate question I had is, why would they measure the rotors again, if all they were going to do is put them back on? They are a bunch of crooks!!! read more

Bought tires at my local store, (Lockhart, Texas) and had to get the cheapest because that was all they had on hand. No offer to order the better quality ones for me. On promise of a $25 credit on my purchase I took out a credit card. When I got the bill there was no credit for $25. I tried to call and was on hold for over 1/2 hour before anyone even picked up, then tried to call the store and got no answer. So I went down to the store and when I finally got someone's attention I was shamed for not knowing that Firestone and their credit card company are two different entities and that was a store credit, etc. Obviously I did know and I obviously don't care about the corporate organization, I just want good customer service and I want it gotten right THE FIRST TIME. The mistake was their fault, not mine, and I want them to get it straightened out without me having to go down there and invest a couple of hours just to get the same $25 I was supposed to get at the start, all the while an arrogant manager is patiently explaining to me that ITS MY FAULT. This store just seems very lazy to me, and practically every time I have been in there there has been some sort of a screw up that has me on the phone or driving back down there again to try to straighten it out, and then the attitude of the staff is "we do not care" or "its really YOUR fault for being a stupid customer." Please tell your people they have to have bigger shoulders than that. read more

I bought tires form this place never again. I have a ford F250 bought 4 tires Bridgestone duelers they had trouble balancing one and put it on the right rear. latter that year I had them rotate and balance then. I had to take it back twice because the shaking at 65 mph. They try to tell me it was me alignment and want to sell me on getting it aliened. NO NO NO there was nothing wrong with the alignment before I bought it in. I took it to a Ford service they could not balance the tire in question and I had to replace it. The Firestone had only replaced the tire when they had problems balancing it in the first place they would still have a customer. But no they put that bad tire on and tried to add enough weight to make it work. then try and tell me it was the alignment. and by the way the alignment was good. So they lost a customer but that is not all they lost at lest 6 customers and anyone ask me about they Ill tell them don't go there. FYI I have been using Bridgstone Dueler tire on all 4 of my last vehicles with no problem tell now. Friends I have talk to tell me they have had trouble with the service at this Firestone also and want go back. I got an oil change and service on 11/24. Yesterday 12/13 my truck started making bad noises and the oil light came on and started flashing. I slowly limped into a dealership service station near by and they determined that the fuel filter had come loose and the plug was not in correctly causing a drop in oil and the malfunction. They didn't want to touch the truck and asked me to contact Firestone about the previous oil change. I had the truck towed back to Firestone today. They addressed the truck, drained the oil, changed the oil, checked for damages and told me that I'd stopped before there was engine damage. They apologized to me, explained their process with the double checking on oil changes and assured me that it had been logged and that it had been double checked on 11/24. However, they still claimed responsibility and quickly and nicely took measures to fix the situation. Mistakes happen, we are human. It is how we deal with mistakes (our own and other's mistakes) that show our character. After a few hours I got a call from the manager who explained that the truck seems to be good now, after several testings and driving it a bit he said I can come pick it up. I'm also assured that if there is any damage to the engine that shows up later they will tow it to a Nissan dealership, pay for a new engine and provide a rental car. He apologized again and I feel he did everything he could to address the problem, find a solution and offer assistance. I was not charged anything, and they even offered to reimburse me for the towing. I'm very pleased with the outcome of this situation and will gladly continue to have my vehicle serviced at this Firestone. I've been going there for 7 years with both vehicles and never had a problem until now. After seeing how they deal with problems, I'm confident in returning despite the issue I had yesterday. It is rare to find a company that stands by it's work, does what it can to help and make things right without a struggle and blame game. Don't think about bringing your car here. There are so many more efficient cheaper places to get your tire repaired in Lockhart. The work may be decent but the service is horrible. When speaking with a fellow employee another kept butting in his two cents, not only was this employee heavily annoying with his constant remarks but when asked about why did I book an appointment if I have to wait an hour and a half for you to even look at my car and to be told no you cant come back in 90 min is beyond me. Never in all my life have I ever had an appointment not start at the scheduled time and to be told I have to wait 90 mins! I understand that they might be in the middle of working on a car but when 2 mechanics are playing around in the lobby and a 3rd laughing with his friend on the work phone is raises questions. Even yesterday when I had to book the appointment I was told I could leave me car there to have it fixed but said I couldn't can I book an appointment and then was told we have none for the rest of the day, then how were you even going to look at my car if you don't even have an open spot? Yeah take your car somewhere else, there is just a bunch of kids working here not taking anything seriously, be warned of excessively long wait times amd rude customer service.
