Simply would never come back. Changing parts without owners permission is ABSOLUTELY not acceptable. Don't know if this is a Firestone thing or it's just this branch that does that. What else can you do when you have a tight schedule and cant wait longer for your car? You can only hope that the car is fixed and pay for whatever they asked for BECAUSE they replaced your car parts WITHOUT telling you price and asking your permission. When I came to this location I asked for a specific set of tires. I was given 3 separate options to choose from. Each one of them was great and they had them in stock. Once I made my decision the sales team Raquel and another man who I did not catch his name but he was helpful too. They all stayed about an hour and a half after they closed the day before Thanksgiving to finish my car. I was extremely happy and thankful that the technician stayed later to finish my car. These guys are straight up and honest. I went with the boy here to get his car serviced after it was making some wicked strange noises. They manager her personally took care of his car and made sure that my boyfriend knew what was going on with his car from start to finish. What really impressed me was that they mechanics actually saved the bad parts so that my boyfriend could actually see that they were bad - instead of merely having to take their word for it. This is not a common practice. And then, they even went a step further and took pictures of other things that were wrong so my guy could see it first hand. Excellent customer service and the true example of a caring mechanic. I really appreciated that these guys were willing to educate the customer and not "take him for a ride," so to speak. Went in for what I thought would be a simple wheel alignment. And they damaged my car in the process and refuse to own up to it. Im guessing because they did $1,800 worth of damage and then lied about it. They even tried to downplay it as been a blown fuse, knowing if a blown fuse was the issue there would be no power going to the affected area. Ive already contacted the B.B.B. and will take this to small claims court. This is unacceptable. If you made a mistake, its okay. But whats not okay is lying about it and refusing to resolve it. I have a report from the Lexus dealership stating the damage and what could have caused it and yet Firestone still refused to pay for the damage, saying they aren't at fault. read more

I've been a Firestone customer for many years. Recently we moved to the Northern SFV and had to find a new store. Fortunately there's one close by and they are really fantastic to work with. We were able to get our oil changed, tires rotated and a full 4-wheel alignment and get out by in just 2 hours. I know other places that would take a whole day to get that done. Great people. I got a flat on my way over to Granada Hills to meet with some friends I sold a condo to nearby. My friend told me he had his car serviced here, and that he had just purchased some tires for his Tahoe so I decided to come check the spot out. I had an oil change done, and purchased 1 new tire. The work appears to of been done well. Only 2 "who knows if related" incidents occurred though. 1. My tire pressure sensor doesn't seem to work anymore, per cashier, she thinks the AAA guy that changed my tire may of broken it 2. My check engine light turned on, on the way home. Not sure what's up with that, but I will be taking it to the dealer to get both items checked out. read more

I had an Enterprise rental minivan that had major issues (4 bad tires of varying brands, poor alignment) and after an infuriating runaround with their customer service, I discovered I could bring the vehicle to Firestone to get it serviced for free. Store manager Lawrence Carmel helped me and was AWESOME. He was knowledgable about protocol in dealing with an Enterprise vehicle, he was the one who realized all 4 tires were bad and requested to Enterprise they be replaced with brand new, same-brand tires. He was easy to talk to and kept me updated on the van's progress (I was in a hurry as I was moving the next day, which is why I needed the van). My only complaint -- and this may not be Firestone's fault -- is that I had to wait several hours to get the van fixed and I was informed (later, by Enterprise) that Enterprise customers are supposed to be a priority and "skip the line." Not sure about that. But this location of Firestone is great. Clean, tidy waiting room, quick work, nice employees. read more

I came in to get a simple tire alignment. They told me it would be an hour. Thats fine, I came back in an hour and 20 minutes and I was told that my car had not been worked on because some other car had issues. The lady at the front told me to wait ten minutes and that she would give me 10 dollars off.... If wheel alignment truly only takes 10 minutes then why have I been waiting here for the past 40 minutes writing this review and why couldn't they have just worked on my car first instead of making me wait 2 hours... Do not tell me that it takes one hour and then take over two hours This is ridiculous. I will never visit this establishment ever again and I suggest you all do the same. Lawerence and the crew at Firestone is attentive and extremely helpful. Lawerence saw I had a minor problem with my Lexus's sensor system, and took the extra time after they replaced all tires to help me out at no cost. Instead of having to take it to the dealer, he did a little research and contacted me to swing by after work. He and a mechanic helped solve the problem in less than 15 minutes. I needed a set of tires and found a good rebate for the brand/style I wanted. Upon calling for additional information and then going to the store, Raquel was very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable...She is AWESOME! The reason why I am giving a 4 star rating is because I was then told by another Sales Manager that I needed a new radiator, something that I had done a week prior to the visit. He then let me know that the mechanic I took it to did not clean that area correctly. Last December, after reading reviews and calling several tire shops, I finally decided to go here and have the 4 tires replaced. Larry was friendly and has a deep knowledge on the products that he sells. The tire model that he recommended has a better quality and features than the OEM tires, and the price is cheaper too. While waiting for the tires to be replaced, I noticed that Larry stays in the service area most of the time, managing his crew. BTW, they also offer lifetime wheel allignment and oil change service. My truck is my life. Been dealing with Larry for about 3 years now. I'm a plumber with an ECON 350 Super Duty that chews up tires and brakes like a pit bull with a chihuahua in its sight. Larry sold me a great set of tires a couple years back but, I really put them to the test on a daily basis. I've had to bring my truck in 3 times for rotation, flat and slow leak. Today, Larry had the day off so, I dealt with a young lady named Raquel. Same great service and again......0 charge! Awesome service. Very courteous Customer Service by Raquel. I didn't have an appointment just walked in one Saturday morning.and I was helped right away. Raquel knew what she was talking about regarding my concern for my car. I had Full synthetic oil change, life time wheel alignment (I have this Car Since 1998) and fuel filter changed. It took them 4 hours to complete my work and I didn't had to wait coz Raquel had made arranged a tech to drop me home.WOW. I had that 4 hours saved and spent them on my kids. Only thing bothered me was they charge $19.99 to do a full diagnose of any leak suspension check and etc where competitors just couple of blocks away do it for free. My first time here, I came in because my tire light came on, Giovani checked all my tires free of charge and noticed I had a small nail in my tire in a repairable area, I came in after a couple of days and they fixed the problem. Just recently went in for my normal oil change when I received a report to have my breaks done and I did. Then for the following weeks the breaks sounded worst and I went back in to have them taken care of but the problem persisted. I decided to take it over to Larry Carmel in the Northridge store and not only did they fix them but Larry gave me a break pad 101 which I really appreciated...awesome job in a timely manner that had me back on the road feeling safe. read more

I came here to get a lyft inspection which every time in the past has taken 15 min. However firestone took two hours to do the test which is ridiculous. Finally they told me everything was fine except a light was out. This put me in a position of either paying for a failed test or paying them to fix it. I would not recommend coming here for a lyft or uber inspection. read more

They charged me for a service that I did not get. They did an AC unit service where they were supposed to replace the ac pipes, but they didn't have the part. They charged me for it, and told me to pick the car up and bring it back when they have the part. The next day they called and said they can't change the pipes for Hyundai and I have to take the car to the company after I already paid for it. read more

I was here today, and the Store Manager, Lawrence Carmel, went above and beyond his duty by answering all of my questions, and explaining what needs to be done and why. He also allowed me to work with my budget. The storefront itself is incredibly comfortable with magazines to read, vehicle literature, Direct TV (with an accessible remote), complimentary coffee, free wifi, comfy chairs, and a very clean and accessible bathroom.
