"Worst place ever" bought my car I had a 10am appointment ended up leaving at 1:30p. Because no one touched the car. The following Friday on my day off I came in again at 10am on a appointment the guy told me it will be ready at 1230p still no one has touched my vehicle. Its 12:30 avoid this place at all coast I don't even know how there even a Firestone store the service sucks people never show up to work. This is a strange one for me and my experience with fire stone is not the greatest. Four years ago I purchased four brand new tires and they were E rated and I was not looking for a cheap tire but a quality tire at the time. I do not drive much my van does not sit in the sun it sits in the shade all day. I drove about 15,000 miles ish in four years not that many miles. I got a bolt in my tire today which I could not make it to fire stone to have it repaired they were too far away and I decided to go to Good Year. While at Goodyear to have the repair done they called me and said the hole was too big they could not repair the tire well I get that. Then they told me if they could repair the fire stone tire they would not because the tire is all mud cracked and spider cracked. He said I looked at the date you purchase them in 2018 and these tires are not in the greatest condition. I did call fire stone and explain to them what happened and what's going on. They proceeded to tell me give me your phone number let me look up your information. When they looked at my information they said those tires you bought do not have a mileage warranty or guarantee on them. That does not sound like something that was originally sold to me in the conversations. However I'm buying four brand new Goodyear tires now can't take the risk for my safety but buyer beware the fire stone tires looks like a situation where you might have to read the fine print. I thought for sure with that lower miles I would get some credit or love and they told me it has no mileage guarantee or warranty. This fire stone has low reviews and now I see why. Go to Good Year and save yourself the trouble I've owned Goodyear tires and never had this kind of problem especially in this low of miles. That's all have a good day be safe. Came here a few months ago to get my boyfriends car serviced. The guy who was helping us was helpful but not too friendly, kind of more on the serious side. Anyways, he promised the car would be ready before closing and although they didn't call to say it was ready (-1 star), when we got there 30 minutes before closing they were finished. I have had good luck at the Firestone until recently. They must now have new owners and they have greatly disappointed me. I don't plan on returning here for any service except for my lifetime alignment that I paid for. I brought my wife's Toyota Camry hybrid here for new tires and i asked if they have the original equipment Firestone tires in stock and they said yes. Well they just through on a set of Firestone tires, but they are not the original equipment. This is a hybrid and the original tires are low rolling resistance tires to improve fuel economy. So my gas mileage isn't as good now. Fail number one Then I brought my corvette with only 12,000 miles on it for them to fix my flat tire. They said they can't repair it. So I went to Larry's tires in El Sobrante and they repaired. Firestone just wanted to sell me a new tire. This place is now full of criminals. The hilltop mall is going out of business and this Firestone is next. Save your money and try a more reputable shop. read more

I want to give zero stars on Firestone. I made an appointment but the store employee said 6 customers are ahead of me. Firestone's website allows booking your appointments for a particular time even if many customers already occupied the same time which causes a very long waiting time at the shop. The store posted a sign to get 5% off when you apply for the store credit card and also one employee from the store confirm the 5% discount so I applied it but I didn't receive the 5% discount. Simply just want to say amazing service. I forget the gentleman's name at the counter who I met in the beginning but he was very courteous respectful and listened to all the questions I had and professionally answer all them. He offered the lifetime alignment special deal they got going, which I thought was phenomenal. They didn't take too long to get the car done,it was awesome even had a chance to speak with the technician outside. He was very kind and seemed excited to have had the pleasure to tell me the job he did on the vehicle. I actually really appreciated that, it also showed he cared about what he did and he was a professional who took pride in his work. I give these guys 10 stars if it was possible. Even from coming back to pick up my vehicle and paying them another gentleman I met thanked me for my business and tells me welcome to the family. I truly felt like these guys really show genuine interest for customers. Let alone my car looks great and drives amazing! I posted pictures to prove it. I had an appointment at this location. I arrived on time and was told car would be ready in less than 2 hours, but 3 hours later car was still parked in their parking lot untouched. I'm not sure what their problem is, but that particular location has terrible customer service, as this was my previous experience with them as well. OK Bought new tires (plus warranty) there one year ago. Don't drive the car much. Saturday the front tire was flat. Took it off my self and brought it in myself. Tire is like new. Guy says there is crud on the inside of the rim that keeps it from sealing! Go in Sunday and FS guy shows me the rim and same crud. Says (1) he's never seen that before and doesn't know what it is, and (2) I should clean it or take it to a rim shop. No, say I, its your tire and you mounted it here. Please just fix it. "OK" says Firestone guy. Go back in Tuesday (4th day) the tire and rim are sitting in the same spot and clearly no one has touched it. Guy explains what's up...tells me (1) and (2) as stated above. Also says he doesn't know what the crud is. Enough! please put the tire and rim in truck of my car. I take the Firestone tire and rim to Les Swab in Martinez. LS guy looks at rim and says "That crude is chrome-scale. Very common on chrome rims. Easy fix. Takes it in the back, cleans it, puts the tire on, airs it up. Literally 20 minutes later I am on the way home. NO CHARGE! Moral of the story. I am now a Lew Swab customer! read more

Well as promise, second time on this Firestone Store believing this is going to be the store from now on for all my service needs. Set my appointment online for 09/18/2020 knowing it will be easier, you know...get your confirmation number online, explaining what you need, right, no problem. Get to the store let them know "I'm your 10:30 am appointment", they check the system and, done! The gentleman who assisted me at the counter at my arrival, was very courteous respectful and listened to all the questions I had and professionally answer all of them. Since I must wait for service in the store, I decided to take a walk around the premises for more than an hour, find a place to snack and walk back, to easy right! After my return, the vehicle was not done yet, that is cool!! So, I waited siting down quietly for another 30 minutes or so. After me being patience waiting with out any incident this individual, let's call him "JAY V", supposedly works for the store, ask me what vehicle I'm waiting for, in wish I answered the GMC Truck (my vehicle), he responded they are finishing in about 20 more minutes he responded, no problem (think to myself)!! "Vehicle done", this individual shouted out, "vehicle ready I'm charging to your Firestone card" he replied, at this moment I reply back "hold on, I don' know how much is the bill yet", that's where all hell could've broke loose. Mr. JAY V start becoming very unprofessional once I ask for an incentive discount for my time spent in the waiting area, just for an oil change and their courtesy vehicle point check. There was a little haggle back and forth until he decided to comply (thank you, JAY V), it was not much but it was the principal. It seems that Mr. Jay V, did not care for any customer to returned to that store if you ask for an additional discount, as he quoted during the haggling. What a shame for Firestone, for individuals like that and the store customer service. I will not recommend this store, they are more concern with the AMAZON Fleet Vehicles that they service there, and not the consumers. I brought my car here on 03/10/2022 to buy 2 brand new tire's and change my brake pads. There was nothing wrong with my car otherwise. It drove perfectly before coming to this establishment. First of all the new manager should not have his job. I went in for new tires and got a phone call saying that i needed my rotors replaced and my brakes replaced. When i came in to look at the rotor myself it looked to me like it had plenty of room for it to be taken down to smooth it out. But the way he was talking I didn't want him to purposely shave it down to much and charge me twice so I reluctantly agreed to change my rotors. After all the over priced work was done i left with my vehicle and immediately notice that i could not take it over 60 miles per hour without it shaking. Upset i took it back the following day. This guy julious lies about what it was and also talked crap to me while i was attempting to get it ficed by his shop. Then he states to me that if anything else is wrong that its not the shops fault unprompted and for no good reason. I the. Tell him that it is their fault because there was nothing wrong with it before I brought it to his shop. Now i can feel that my wheel alignment is out of place which i have just brought my car to this shop to get this done early this year so it should not be out of line. I've decided to make this my tire spot because of how hard it has been for me to be seen at Costco. That being said, Firestone has its days with lengthy waits too. In fact, getting through the phone lines has been a coin toss for me. I've tried calling during my 30 minute lunch break and been on hold the entire time; other times I have been connected in a short amount of time. I've seen first hand that they prioritize their in-person customers (which I appreciate when I am there in person). Anyway, what I have come to realize is that the workers here are actually REALLY helpful. I never feel like they are selling me something I don't need. Every time I interact with them at the desk, I feel that they are making it as easy as possible for me to understand what is happening with my car (in case it is not yet obvious, I know absolutely nothing about cars). The biggest growth area for this business is staffing. They just seemed understaffed and overworked. For this reason I give this place 3 stats, but will keep coming back for services. Came here this morning 7:25 am to have my alignment and wheel balancing done. Then after 3.5 hours they called me at home its done when i came back the guy who moves so slow told me your car is not yet ready. But i know it is ready because they've called me. I even pointed to the guy my documents might be in that table he didn't listened and i insist on check with the big guy outside who happens to be the manager of the day i guess. And that guy Brian instruct that slow guy Its in the table rack. Haha what a day and not only that i arrived back to the place at 11:22 to pick my car up and i got my car at 12:05pm because of sloe customer service and theres only 2 customers there at that time. Came in with my company Van a couple months ago for a simple alignment. Waiters for 3-4 got dam hours only to have the van driving and pulling the exact same way it did. It's as if they did jack shit to the vehicle. Do you guys even test drive before and after? Doubt it. I shoulda known this place was foul when a customer asked how they checked off the oil level on the paper work as checked. The dam car had no dipstick! Every time I would call to schedule they couldn't give me a wait time I could work with so I just ended up taking the van to another shop who gladly did the alignment and also used the custom specs I asked for which was -.05 toe in on the front. Had a 230 appointment set for an oil change on my work vehicle got here at 220 stood in line till 245. Someone saw me in line at 225 and said they would be with me in a bit. I am a long term customer of Firestone and 2 months ago bought 4 new tires and Road Hazard protection. Today I brought my SUV for Tire repair as the nail punctured the tire. It took about 6 hrs for them to repair a tire, which I believe is too long. On top of that , No apologies for the delay and it was me who called multiple time to check the status. Time is money. Either hire people to take care of business or business will go somewhere else. FYI-Also, the lobby of this store location needs to be updated. It has a TV that is minimum 20 year old. What else can these guys fail to deliver on? I pulled out the Engine Air Filter last night, which was marked 'good' on the inspection sheet, but I wasn't really surprised to see the air filter in filthy condition. It's been the same exact Engine Air Filter from the factory (2012 production year) and with over 45,000 miles. The Chevy dealer in Vallejo even notified me to replace the item, but yet somehow, Firestone just pencil whipped the inspection sheet, and marked everything as 'good' as long as things aren't too obvious. So much for a Complete Vehicle Inspection! As for the issue with the tires supposedly being bald, I went down the street to NFS Tires on San Pablo Ave. to get the tire rotation done without any hassle. STAY AWAY from this place! I'm requesting for a full refund for the Lifetime Alignment purchase, as well as the fees I paid for my most recent visit. I simply cannot trust the work these guys do, nor can I trust that they actually do the work they documented. read more

VERY bad experience. I had my car serviced there a couple of times a few years ago and they did a horrible job. I had an oil change done and the whole engine was flooded with oil because the "mechanic" left the cap opened and another time the cover that goes under the car was never put back. They forgot to put it back and/or they stole it. I would rather watch a video and do it myself, I would do a lousy job just like Firestone mechanics without wasting so much $$$. read more

Co. Car needed a 30,000mile service and this place was one of the designated auto service centers for this maintenance, so I scheduled an appointment with a Mr. Gregory Harris. He made errors all along the way in what was suppose to be included in this service when I came in and acknowledged absolutely zero of ALL his mistakes. The only saving grace was the technician named Jay who seemed to know what he was doing. It would have received 1 star if it weren't for the technician getting the car serviced. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! if you are considering bringing your car to this location, please reconsider. I have been a loyal Firestone customer for over ten years. I brought my car here to get a simple oil change when I was "greeted" by Perter with an "I'm just letting you know that there is nothing we can do for you today because two of my techs just didn't show up for work today." He made this statement with out looking into his computer or even offering me any other options. I inform him that I just need an oil change and he begins to get annoyed and makes his statement again. As I am standing Outside searching for a different car company to service my car, I notice there other customers leave this store with the same agitation due to Peters attitude and lack of professionalism. I understand that issues arise such as being short staff, however there is a way in which you can communicate that to a customer without being flat out rude and unprofessional. Rip Off. I wanted to drive part time for Uber on weekends. The only approved mechanic they allowed in my area was this Firestone. The $20 inspection came back that front brakes needed replacing even though the sensors didn't trigger yet. To pass inspection, I had to pay $350 for a brake job. I knew I had premium Pagid ceramic brakes on there already from a year ago so I was shocked I had to replace so soon. Anyway, I gave the OK since I wanted to drive ASAP. after a week, the brakes were making weird noises. Researched my paperwork. They I installed cheapo semi-metallics from Wagner and charged me $150 for those parts, plus $80 new sensors, and $120 labor. Searched online, those Wagners cost $33 pair at Rock Auto. Sensors cost $20 pair. I was going to return and complain about the bad install job, low quality parts, price gouging and all. But decided to just move on and get my brakes redone by my regular shop. I bought ceramic brakes from O'Reilly for $55 and my mechanic charged $130 labor. Been over a month and no issues at all. How much did I pay? Too much. How much time did I lose? Too much. Poor service too. They didn't even tell me how long it would take to do the job. Went in at 8am and left after 5. Not pleasant. No shuttle service. All I can do now is warn others to stay away from Firestone. But their ripoff operation will open a new branch in El Cerrito soon and now I fear for my local community. So I waited and waited...my car didn't even get started yet. What's the point in making an appointment? Is it because I purchased the lifetime wheel alignment so they didn't prioritize me? I was lagging to update this review, but I had to change this to one star. Lets just say I took my car to get aligned at a performance shop and the people there notice my bolts were all loosed from these supposedly "auto technicians" that does alignments. The life time alignment is nice and all, but when you have lazy jack asses that don't bother what's the point? I see that the workers drive modified cars and I myself too, but don't think they will have the same respect for your car that you put all your money and time working on to do a quality job for fellow car enthusiasts. So if you're a car enthusiast trying to save money on the life time alignment, don't bother because they will NEVER get the alignment to the best setting they can get because they are that LAZY! It takes an HOUR to do the little minor adjustments just to get my settings barely into the range and that's it? I know my car is lowered, but the other shop I went to was knowledgeable enough to know how to do the alignment to where there is no wear on my tires. I've got it aligned by the other shop almost a year ago and the tires still has no sign of wear. I have a feeling that these guys that worked there were just mad I never got any other services done by them every time I went to get my car aligned. They most likely get paid less to work on my car which is covered by the lifetime alignment plan, than a car paying full price for one. That is why I dread taking my car for maintenance I can't do on my own because I don't have the proper tools/shop to do it. Don't be fooled by their front desk being nice and respectful, what's the point of being nice and respectful to your face, but turn around and do a horrible job on your car? I'm never selling my car so I can still get free alignments over there, but I'll never go back. read more
