On 2/19/22 I asked the service advisor to a front and rear axle brake job, oil change and tire rotation. i received a phone call saying i needed front rotors. I was told rears were ok. I approved the front rotors and they told me it probably be done tomorrow at 10am. I did not receive a phone call when my truck was done so i went to firestone at 10am, when i received the invoice there was no mention of rear brakes. The complimentary inspection, showed that the brakes in the rear were 1 millimeter away from being illegal. So not only did the customer service agent not follow my instructions but also put my family and I at risk due to low brake lining. After i paid the bill, i walked out to my truck and noticed the tires had not been rotated. I am a long time customer, who is not willing to take the risk of letting your company work on my vehicle any longer. read more

I came here for an oil change, the customer service was ok. The reason for the one star is that I dropped my car off at 9:30 and was called two times for a later pick up time. It wasn't until 6:30 when I called back and found out they hadn't even touched my car. Wasted my entire day. If they didn't have time for an oil change they could've just said so. This place is shady. I was told my brakes needed maintenance - over 1K - in order to pass inspection for Uber. When I refused the service, they turned down my vehicle inspection Fortunately my vehicle was under warranty, so I took it back to my dealer for service. The dealer found no problem and even completed the inspection for me for free. Needless to say, instead of being a quick day, I spent a large amount of time running around for this ridiculous nonsense. Up until that point, I was also a regular customer who used to get my oil change there regularly, but not anymore. My dad has been coming here for a long time and he got me going here when I first got my car (10 years ago). I love the service here. Staffs very helpful and friendly. On top of great service, they do a great job with my car and the price is good. The time that they tell you the car will be ready is exactly the time they'll have it ready if not sooner; I've never experienced a delay. I recently got my breaks and oil changed. I dropped it off at 10:30 am and they said it will be ready by 3...I figured it would take that long since there were hella people ahead of me (about 10 people). When we brought our car in with a flat tire we were told the tire could be fixed for 30.00. That made good sense to us because the tire came with our new 2022 car and would still be good tires. We left the car expecting a call to tell us when we could pick it up when the repair was done. When we got a phone call the worker told us we would have to buy a new tire because a nail pierced it on the side and it couldn't be fixed. Reluctantly we agreed and felt we didn't really have any choice. When we picked the car up and questioned why it couldn't be repaired as agreed upon we couldn't really get a straight answer from anyone there. The front desk person didn't know, he asked someone in the back who couldn't answer and there was nothing on the paperwork to explain why the tire had to be replaced. I hit a curb in South San Francisco today and got a flat I called the Firestone in South City to ask if they could fix it and they said two to three hours..... So, I decided to chance it and drive over the Bay Bridge with a donut. I called the Firestone by my house and told them what happened. They said bring it in and we will see what we can do for you. I got there a half hour later. There were two people in line in front of me. I watched the clerk at the counter (his name was Kris) he was very professional with all customers. When it was my turn he got my car in right away! I waited maybe one half hour.... I was so happy!!! This place is great!!!! read more

I called in to change the tires of my vehicle. First I spoke with Carlo. He was impatient with me and was unwilling to talk in details of the tire change. When I tried to inquire a little more about which tires were located where, as the tires that I wanted were not available there, he interrupted me by saying that he had other people to talk to. We had not talked for more than 3-4 minutes before he cut me short. I ended up changing the tires at the shop and I have nothing to complain of the service thus far. But some workers there, especially Carlo, need to be more patient and more listening to customers questions, especially when the service of the vehicle is in the range of upwards of several hundred dollars, and should not cut them short. read more

Zero customer service! Just called to schedule an appointment to have a new tire installed. Fire stone was recommended by the Tire Rack to put on my new tires. Called 12/4 at 9:15am, I was placed on hold for 4 minutes then someone answered the phone and hung up on me. I immediately called back and the phone rang excessively and then I was disconnected. No wonder the reviews are terrible. Such a shame for a large national company to have such awful customer service. Took my Van there yesterday for alignment. When I picked up the van they recommended that I get a new cabin air filter. I told the lady the I personally just replaced it 3 days ago. She said they must have based it on the mileage 72k. I'm like WTF?? ( didn't really say that) however I told her that your technicians only base their recommendations off mileage of the car and not visually check prior to suggesting something to be replace? From previous good experience with this and a San Francisco Firestone store I chose to have tires shipped here and installed. (The very competitive price quoted helped.) It was not a busy day and all was going well while I waited. They do their usual basic inspection and offer to sell extras like wiper blades, air filter and alignment. On newer cars like my 2008 Fit there is no longer a need to always redo the alignment when changing tires and I was only replacing 2 on the rear. Nevertheless I agreed to have them inspect and went ahead with a one time alignment when they showed a significant deviation. Although they politely suggested my battery cold start capacity is weak and I should replace it, at $185, I declined. Something to watch but I want to inform myself about the life of this modern small battery and how much it should cost. Job was completed and I was on my way in about 1 hour. Service is deteriorating. Took my car in at 1:39pm. The guy told me he could get my car done by 6pm. No problem. I decided to wait. Later he tells me it's going to take longer as there are 4 appointments scheduled before me. Still, I decided to wait. Close to 6pm I was feeling tired and sick so I decided to pick up my keys and schedule an appointment for another day. This is when things went haywire. I asked the guy at the desk if I can get my keys and schedule an appointment to come back. I couldn't get his name as he was wearing several pins but one said "Bay" (doubt this is his name but he was appeared to be in his mid 40s, heavyset, short, glasses, latino, baseball cap). He asked, "is your care here?" I said that my car was outside and had not been started on. I would like my keys and schedule an appointment for another day. He then says he can schedule me for tomorrow (Tuesday), and I said sure. He then asks if I was going to drop off the car. I told him that if it's an appointment I can wait for the car. He said I can drop it off at 7:30am but it might not get worked on until 9am. So I ask him what was the appointment time. He diverted the question by asking if I was able to drop off the car. I politely said that coming in early is not an issue. Then he says that I can drop off the car by 9am but it may be a while before it gets worked on. At that point I started to get a little ticked. I asked, is there an appointment availability? He said yes. I ask what was the time for the appointment. He then says "you can drop off the care at 7:30am". What kind of games do your employees play with customers, Firestone???? If i'm trying to make an appointment, why is this gentleman making it so difficult and not giving me any concrete answers that make sense? Totally unprofessional. I can't believe I'm writing a positive review about a auto repair shop, but I must give credit where credit is due. I took my van in because I was told I probably needed a new alternator & the parking brake light stayed on even after disengaging the brake, possibly an issue with the brakes? I inherently distrust auto mechanics because the final costs are ALWAYS substantially more than the estimate. I called Firestone & the repair/replacement estimate was for approximately $800.00. Upon arrival at Firestone, the manager (Whitey) told me I qualified for a 20% discount. I left my van there and waited for the inevitable call informing me my van had multiple issues and would cost an exorbitant amount to repair. To my SHOCK, Whitey told me my alternator didn't need to be replaced, merely repaired. Additionally, my brakes were in good shape & didn't need to be replaced. Bottom-line, my final charge was SIGNIFICANTLY LESS than the estimate. I applaud their honesty and integrity. read more

They are pretty good here, but you need to factor in extra wait time. Carlo has always been very helpful! Sometimes service can be slow, but they do a good job as long as your getting basic services done, and Firestone can extend credit to customers for big jobs (which has been super helpful) read more

If I could give it no stars I would. Every time I bring my car is either they do something they shouldn't or try it hide there mistakes. Unfortunately I bought tires from them so I'm tided down for the rotations and warranty, I also bought the lifetime wheel ailment so I'm stuck until I need to purchase new tires. If you have any type of services done make sure to completely inspect your car before leaving. I made that mistake and now I'm paying for it. I honestly believe they don't have trainees that are not certified and maybe only one or two that are actually certified. This place should only sell tires and nothing else because they do not know what they are doing. I will definitely contact the regional manager and headquarters but I'm sure they will only pass the problem down endless roads. read more

He let someone come In there and because they had the same last name as me supposedly change my address on my account. Then emailed me a work order for her car. When I asked about it he caught an attitude and hung on me saying it was only wiper blades. The mangers just a bad as he kept defending the worker saying they assumed it was okay to do this. I asked why wouldn't you call and check he said it was just wiper blades. I told him I got an email from some unknown work order you guys put this on my account and sent me an email and changed my address on my account why wouldnt i be pissed and instead of calling me to check if I knew the person you assumed WTF. So they said we'll next time we can just check on your account if it happens again. So there saying only on my account they'll check but otherwise they'll let it go for others . Freaking stupid I had to close my account these workers are freaking stupid. these workers don't care about customers they don't care to check to see if ppl that come in are who they say they are. Guess next time someone wants new tires they just assume the are related to someone with an account and you can get free tires there not going to check they'll assume. I took my truck last weekend to get 4 tires and wheel alignment, I got there at 11:30am and he told me to go back at 5:30pm to pick it up I took Lyft two times and spend $40, so I get there at 5:10pm I ask the guy is it almost done? he told me they got busy so he told me they haven't start it yet, they didn't even touch my truck, I found it where I parked it, he was just not sorryabout it I just the key and left no point in ruin my Saturday. Wow. Could a place suck more? When I went to Firestone last month to buy a lifetime alignment on a friend's recommendation, I got a little wigged out reading the yelp ads. But the people behind the counter were nice, so I decided that maybe the reviews were outdated. In fact, The one star in this rating goes to Kris and Gam, the folks behind the counter who were quite cheerful on my first visit, even though they were so busy. They got me in-and-out of there in the time frame I needed. But there were plenty of people grumbling around who got there after me and clearly weren't being served as quickly. They told me some recommended repairs, but no hard sell, and the car drove great. For 24 hours, I was satisfied. The trouble comes the next day, when, despite their "courtesy checklist", my car died ... on the San Rafael bridge no less (thank goodness no one tried to cut in front of me as I coasted down until I could get to the shoulder and stare at the cal-train tow truck across four lanes of traffic for half an hour until I could get towed off state property and to a place where AAA could tow me. But that's another story.) Now, there's no reason for them to have notice the crack in my engine block that two mechanics missed too. But, my main mechanic guarantees that the drip was slow and that my oil couldn't have been fine the day before. When I called as a concerned customer seeking satisfaction, I was offered the difference between my discounted lifetime alignment and a full-price regular alignment. "We already did the alignment," the guy on the phone said. *blink blink* Really? When I went in, I didn't mention the phone conversation, hoping for a more appropriate deal. I asked them to apply the lifetime alignment to my new car to keep me as a customer, knowing that there's another Firestone location convenient to me that I could go to in the future. The guy went to talk to the manager, and came back with, "we can offer you $20 off lifetime on your new car, along with 3 free oil changes." Hahahahahahhahahhahahahhahhahahaha. No. I mentioned my original deal, and the name of the person who gave it to me (the very same manager who never came out to talk to me), and got it. Sad job, Mr. Manager. I know the economy is tight, but you don't keep your customers by being a dick. read more

my car died on 80W, and i was basically towed here out of desperation. that said, what starts in chaos, ends in chaos. they began diagnostics wed. a.m., and called to inform me my fuel pump was dead. they ordered a new one (arrived thursday), and installed. the car still doesn't run. staff tells me they're ordering a SECOND brand new fuel pump. they install, and the car still won't run. it became obvious they're not capable of diagnosing problems. i'm quoted particular prices, and with each day, it goes up. finally on friday, they inform me a new fuel pump driver module is needed (part won't arrive until tuesday due to holiday). okay, so i'd hoped that would solve it. i'm called on tuesday afternoon with the glorious words, "your car is fixed." however, the price has now jumped an extra $100+ to a total of $920. i went to settle the bill and inquired as to why they put in different parts (entire fuel pump assembly), but only informed me of the driver module costs/fuel line cleaning, etc.. he kept telling me he had deducted some costs, and was already saving me money. for instance, he said they'd done 3 hours of diagnostic work. if your certified techs aren't able to properly diagnose and read the trouble codes, the customer shouldn't be charged additionally because of your incompetence. he said if i wasn't satisfied, he could remove all of the new parts, and return the car to me as it was. what a shady way to intimidate a customer into feeling trapped. i reminded him that the consumer has rights, and the shop can't make additional repairs, or increase the estimate WITHOUT informing the customer. finally after several minutes of me trying to explain why this was wrong, he finally reduced the overall bill by 10%. i was thankful for that, but wonder how many people leave the shop frustrated, and just happy to have their car running? my cloth trunk liner was completely down on the right side where the checked the emergency cut-off switch in the trunk. my seats, every single one, had grease smudges on them. so utterly disappointed in the lack of professionalism. Go at your own risk! I have been there previously with no problems with the service besides taking extremely long for whatever reasons and getting a long sheet of services they are trying to upsell me on like an idiot. A couple of years ago, I took my 1991 Saturn SL2 there for an alignment as I had the lifetime on it. I asked Kris who normally took care of me on previous visits to ask the technician to be careful of the front fascia. Kris responds with a "oh, they don't care" to me. WTF??? If the same manager who was there is reading this, then you know who I am and which car it was. I got my car back and didn't think to look twice about PAINT DAMAGE! I noticed after I was home that a chunk of my paint job was missing from the front fascia. I go back to talk with them a day later, and then the manager says "oh you probably hit a curb while parking the car." No way man, I know how to drive my car without hitting the front end thank you very much. He offered to show me that there was no way his techie hit my front end on the alignment ramp. For you people out there reading this, the shop has 2 alignment racks. One in the front and one in the back of the shop. The one in front has extra pieces of wood for cars with long front ends. The techie on the previous day took my car on the rack without the wood, hence that's how he scraped my front end. The manager asked which guy took care of my car the previous day, and then he says to me, "that's my best technician here." Mind you, my car is not even lowered, it is at stock height. The manager drove my car up the same ramp to show me it couldn't have happened. CRRRRRRKKKKKKKK and there was proof these bozos busted my car. I was standing right next to the rack watching because the manager asked me to watch. He points out that there was a slight scrape previously and I'm not stupid, I know there was a scrape there, but where the paint came off was where it HIT THE RACK!!! He asks me what I want to do about it. I said he needs to pay for the inflicted damages. He only offers to pay 1/2 which was crap, but hell, I didn't think to check for damages on the previous day when I picked it up. So I agree and have to go through the hassle of the Firestone insurance and getting estimates done. Then I gotta waste my time to get the front end repainted. Customer service was crap, false accusations were crap also about the manager thinking I damaged the car all on my own. I detail cars for a hobby and I know paint does not suddenly fall off in chunks with cracking all around that one spot. Be sure to have your wheel hubs checked as these guys don't use a torque wrench to put your lugs back on. They use an impact wrench and super tighten your lugs on with a chance of stripping the thread. My friend worked there previously so he knows. As I said previously, go at your own RISK! Plus they will upsell you "recommended" services when your car is perfectly fine.. read more

Every service I've had here takes at least twice the amount of time that they estimate & they're completely unapologetic about it. I was suckered into buying tires from them because of the free lifetime rotation service & even bought the lifetime alignment service... It's a total waste of time.
