I had an extremely negative experience at this Firestone location while traveling with my family. We came in with a simple nail puncture on the rear right tubeless tire. Instead of repairing it, the staff insisted it was "impossible to fix" and pressured us into accepting a brand new tire under false pretenses. They refused to show any proof of damage and used intimidation tactics, exploiting the fact that we were out-of-town tourists with small children. I personally witnessed the Service Advisor and technician whispering and plotting together. When they noticed me, they were visibly startled, confirming my suspicion that they were fabricating the story about the tire. Although the tire was covered under warranty, I was still forced to pay $65.10 for labor, fees, and "road hazard protection." This charge was unjustified and unethical. This experience reflects predatory sales tactics and a deliberate lack of transparency. I am requesting a full refund and an internal investigation into the practices at this store. If unresolved, I will escalate the matter to FDACS and the BBB. Consumers deserve honesty and respect, not manipulation and exploitation. read more

For over 2 months I have been returning weekly for the same issue, that is still NOT FIXED! when their mechanic never showed for work on days I was scheduled to be there, did they call and save me the trip? (HELL NO) I initially went in for a repair of a window that would no longer go up/down or retract once opened, so that it fits under the window rubber edges when shut. First off the damaged my limo tinted window! (Claimed they can fix that too) they lied when they stated I could get it fixed and they will reimburse me. They also broke my trunk release, (Not fixed) MY issue now door speaker not working ( MY issue now) I placed a kids puff sticker over the whole made in the tint.., well NOW the glass they claim is bent ( from the sticker) wrong again! Placed (super glue) on the windows rubber framing uneven rubber? WRONG AGAIN!.. They actually ruined the first new window motor they put in! (their issues) the window worked great for years with the rubber untouched. ( now I pick glue OFF my glass) MY issue again. You obviously DO NOT hold the knowledge of true certified mechanics... Nick, the service advisor supervisor was the nicest none pressuring person who guided my aunt through the process. Flat tire and was going to repaired no sale pitch and then he guide us through the condition of the tires. Point out that the rear flat tire was replace and she should have same brand name tire to match the thread. He did not pressure us to sale an additional two front tire but recommended to have her son examine the condition and return backa her convenience if they wanted the additional two tires. First time using this shop except for occasional topping off tire air. My 2012 Honda was becoming difficult to start even with a new battery so I brought it to Firestone to have the spark plugs replaced And also to check the air conditioning, but when I was given the cost of checking the AC I immediately told them to just do the spark plugs. The final bill was about $80 higher than I was told it was going to be. when I looked at the invoice later, I could not read it because the printer had malfunctioned so numbers did not show up on the invoice. I tried calling the shop, but no one answered so will have to try again tomorrow. I would not take my car here again because I believe they are padding the bills. read more

Not trustworthy or reliable, I had my tires changed and told I was getting a certain tire . After install they put a different tire on. I told them my value stem was leaking on a specific tire, they said they change them. Note they charged me to change all 4 valve stems. About a month later the same tire on the same side of the truck had low air. 2nd time going back to their shop they changed that values stem , although they charged me and didn't change it. The next day my tire monitoring light came on flashing indicating a bad sensor. 3rd visit I go in and explain the issue and they said we will have to charge you to look at it because sensors go bad at random. but it wasn't random it wasn't registerinting the tire they change the value stem on. I made the appointment to get it fixed. 4th visit they said the sensors are good it is the module , after replacing tires the system needs a reboot which is common for tires with tpms. But they didn't have proper equipment to do so! so you have to take it to a dealer to get it done. I went to a different company not the dealer, best choice tires help me cost free and fixed the issue for free without question. if you want to visit the company and waste multiple hours and get charges for things they didn't even fix then thats your call I wouldn't ever in my lifetime go back to or recommend firestone, now it could just be this location but that location ruined it for me. My family has been coming here for over 2 years with their 2000 Camry for small projects on the car. So when I drove my 2008 Lexus RX from Minneapolis to Sarasota October 2019, I brought it here for an oil change tire rotation and general exam. "All was fine, they said."Then I had a terrible flat on I75 June 2020, and OF COURSE I had my car towed here thanks to the confidence we had in their service. The Tire was in pieces, bought a medium quality Firestone single tire, had them rotate all the tires. Then I noticed that my steering wheel was increasingly pulling my car more to the right, and as I slowed down at lights from a higher speed, my steering wheel started shaking fairly substantially. So in October 2020, while out of state, my family took my car into Firestone for a full check up, tire rotation, oil plus filter change etc. "Everything looked great", was their prognosis. THEN two days ago , February 2021,my neighbor noticed my back driver tire was very low and it was my day off from work so I drove directly to Firestone to add air. A female manager came out with a board, took my name as a mechanic looked at my tires. " The front driver tire may have a nail and the back tire pressure is a 9, come back after your errands at UTC and we'll look at it." Then he filled the tires and I was off 15+ miles to University Town Center Shopping center, via I75 going 75 -80 mph. On my way home (15+ miles) I decided to stop at I75 Tire and Maintenance just south of Fruitville and Cattleman for a 2nd opinion and to have them pull out the nail. ( family member just got this strong recommendation from a coworker who used them for years) Josh the manager took the tires off and examined them in just 10 minutes. He came into his office where I sat waiting and said, "Your car is TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. Your front end alignment is SO BAD that you have WORN OFF FULL TREADS on the front + back driver side AND the front passenger side. Only the rear passenger tire ( the June purchased Firestone) can serve as your spare. WORST experience I've ever had at a tire or mechanic shop, and maybe any business ever! Do NOT go here! The "manager" Jason was one of the rudest people I've ever dealt with in a professional business. There was no accountability or responsibility. There was no way to rectify the situation and he literally denied doing anything wrong to the point of he just does not care what happens to your vehicle! I brought my wife's Mercedes into have four tires put on and left with the entire air suspension system, broken on my car and the car undrivable , grease all over the dashboard the wheels all put back on the wrong wheel and a broken car with all of the dials and dash system changed. It cost me $1100 for four tires and they broke the car to where it couldn't even be driven, and then said they didn't. What kind of tire changing business even know how to lift a car properly that has air suspension and whether to turn it on or off.? Now I am left with a car that cannot be driven and I have to take it to another mechanic to have it fixed for thousands of dollars of damage caused by fire stone, and they literally do not care . When I took it to the mechanic down the street from them to have it fixed, he said that that was usual and they fixed fire stones mistakes all the time and literally have had to replace entire motors and wheels and tires from the shotty work. The people that worked on my wife's car acted as though they had never changed the tire before and looked like they had not been to sleep in days. I will do everything I can to make sure the management and the employee of this establishment Do not do this to anyone else's vehicle in the future. I had no idea this is how they treated women that come in to get tires put on their car after they break their car. They just bully them into saying they didn't do anything wrong and then you're stuck with a broken car. My wife made the appointment and showed up on time early in the morning like they said with $1100 for four tires. They kept me informed every step of the way and found the malfunction to be a broken radiator/hose fitting. They ordered the part and completed the work very swiftly. Got a nail in my tire on I-75 while in siesta for vacation. Came in at 8:30 am to which I found the manager, Justin, behind the front desk. I explained my situation to him and he seemed very kind at first until he tried to sell me 2 new tires after telling me the tire that got a nail was beyond repair. Okay... he says they can take off $45 to sign up for their free member club and even with that tiny discount the tires would have been over $450!! At no point did Justin explain this was a CREDIT CARD. I know have a hard inquiry on my credit report on top of student loans hurting my score and the real kicker is that I didn't even use them to do the work. Wish I had checked the reviews. This used to be a great auto shop but something is really off here now. Made an appointment for an oil change and to have my stop lamps checked. One of the stop lamps was removed by me because originally I was going to replace it myself. I'll get to that part later. Arrive a few minutes before the appt. and the guy at the desk asks for my info. Mind you all the info was already entered online but I digress. He asks if I'm waiting there or leaving. Tell him I'm leaving and he confirms my phone #. About 20 minutes later, I get a call. Can't hear the guy so I call back on my friend's phone. He started telling me I have an oil leak. I tell him I have seen no evidence of oil leakage. He says "it didn't get out of the car yet" and tells me I need to have a test done to find a leaky gasket. Ask how much that will cost and he says $44.98. I mention the brake lights and he proceeds to tell me that the light housing wasn't plugged in far enough. Dude...there's no bulb in there! I mention that and he goes off on me about it not being plugged in. Now I'm getting pissed. 20 minutes later guy calls back, never mentioning the leaky gasket and tells me I need all my seals replaced for $1300! I'm livid and tell him I just want my car back. Go back to the shop, he never goes over the work, never shows me the invoice, asks if my email is correct and asks me to sign. I get in my car and the Check stop lamps lights up. I really wanted to post my Firestone alignment vs BMW shop alignment but I cant attach an image file. Almost killed myself going around a 100 mph sweeper as the car wanted to break loose in the corner. I race cars so it felt like the toe and my finding were later confirmed. If you have a grocery getter it wont make any difference and these guys will be fine. If you have a performance oriented car you can be the judge. The Firestone Complete Auto Care (store #012378) at 2121 Stickney Point Road in Sarasota, FL, and managed by Justin Rosa is a "CLIP JOINT"! I had a battery light on problem on my 2003 Pontiac Montana van and brought it in for service. After the service advisor explained to me what the problem was with my vehicle, I agreed to replace the alternator, as well as the serpentine belt, belt tensioner, and harmonic balancer. I then sat in the store waiting room for approximately 5 hours while my vehicle was being serviced. It was also recommended that I replace front and rear wiper blades, replace my tires, wheel alignment service, and brake fluid exchange, but I declined to have that work done. I subsequently received a quote of $910.57 for that recommended work on the same day. I was charged as follows on invoice 183821 01/21/2020 in the amount of $1,215.78 for all of the work performed on my vehicle on January 21, 2020. Upon leaving the store parking lot with my vehicle at approximately 3:00 PM on January 21, 2020, the engine light came on, so I circled the block and returned to the store. A technician attached a device to my vehicle and told me that he had reset the engine light. The engine light was no longer on when I left the store for the second time that day. On the morning of January 27, 2020 I returned to the store with the problem of excessive noise coming from the serpentine belt, and that the coolant temperature gage was showing a constant 40 centigrade, which was not normal. I waited for approximately 5 hours again while my vehicle was being serviced for the serpentine belt noise and the gage problem, and then was offered a free rental car for the day, while my vehicle was still being worked on. It was recommended to me that I replace the power steering pump, as it could be contributing to the noise, but I declined to have that work done. I subsequently received a quote of $358.58 on the following day. I returned to the store on the morning of January 28, 2020 to pick up my vehicle. The belt noise had subsided, and the temperature gage was functioning properly, and I received no charges for any work performed on the vehicle. The serpentine belt noise eventually returned, then subsided somewhat each time the engine warmed up. While driving back home on February 13, 2020, the engine light came on in Marietta, GA, and stayed on for the next 1,000 miles, for the 2 days that was travelled to return to my home in Oakville, ON, Canada. On February 21, 2020, I took the vehicle to a Canadian Tire store in Oakville, ON to have the engine light and belt noise problem resolved. I was informed by the Canadian Tire service advisor that the 6PK2225 serpentine belt was not the correct size for a 2003 Montana that does not have rear AC. I agreed to replace the serpentine belt, and approximately 1 hour later when I arrived to pick up my vehicle, the 6PK2225 serpentine belt that was installed by Firestone Complete Auto Care store in Sarasota, FL had been removed, and replaced with a #114-0788 Continental serpentine belt that fits a 2003 Montana, that does not have rear AC. I currently have the 6PK2225 serpentine belt in my possession, should Firestone Complete Auto Care wish to have it returned. The charge that I received from Canadian Tire on invoice 20042900118519 on February 21, 2020 was $276.84 CAD. Since visiting Canadian Tire, the serpentine belt noise has been completely eliminated, and also the engine light is no longer on. Under the circumstances, the approximately 10 hours spent in the Firestone Complete Auto Care store waiting room, the constant noise endured for 3 weeks until the engine warmed up each time the vehicle was used, and the $276.84 CAD that was spent to correct what the Firestone Complete Auto Care store had done to the vehicle, a reimbursement was requested in the amount of $276.84 CAD or equivalent $209.35 USD (1.3224 as at February 21, 2020, Bank of Canada). Copies of invoices from Firestone Complete Auto Care store 012378, and Canadian Tire Associate Store #0429 were mailed in a claim to Bridgestone Firestone, Nashville, TN 37201 on March 12, 2020, and an on-line claim was filed subsequently, with both being completely ignored by Bridgestone Firestone. read more

I have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. Went to Stickney shop this morning with an appointment. Told person I have another appointment at 10:30 which gives them 1 1/2 hours to do a half hour job which is change oil and rotate tires. At about 10 I go outside to check on my car. I see the guy working on another car and asked him why he's not working on my car. He says I can't find lug key. Most obvious I would look in glove box. He said he did and wasn't there. I said ya wrapped in paper towel. He says well I have to wait for manager to ask you. Are you kidding me?!! I go in and as usual there is one worker handling 6 people in line with the phone ringing off hook. The worker said he changed the oil already. I get out of there at 10:25. When I started my car again it was smoking. I go back. I asked the guy what did you do to my car it's smoking. I didn't do anything. Well didn't come in smoking. Manager comes out and I'm upset so I'm loud. He screaming at me that it's because I hurried him. Comes to find out the guy didn't put the O ring on correctly. He fixes it and I go home. Ten minutes ago I go to the store. I thought I saw a little smoke but figured it was a little burning from engine. I come home and look on ground in garage and there's a nice big spot of oil. This is unacceptable in every way. The tech didn't know what he was doing. He had two speeds, slow and stop. The manager stated that he was coming out to ask me about lug lock when he finished up with customers. That would be never because they only have one person handling all the customers that come in and every phone call. Call yourself and see how long you will stay on hold. This is firestone can you hold. And there you sit. I will be at the bee ridge shop bright and shiny tomorrow and will be filming everything said and done. They should not yell at upset customer to escalate the situation instead of deescalate. They shouldn't take on work they can't do in a reasonable amount of time. I will never go back there again. Every time I go there is a whole new crew except the manager. That tells me that something isn't right. I've been using the same store since the late 90's. The time it takes to do a simple oil change and rotation is ridiculous but this is the topper. They should hope they haven't done permanent damage to my car or we will be having some issues that will cost them more than they want. Also since everyone in the nation is hit on the protest gig, I might just have to hire someone to stand on sidewalk with a sign. Had I taken them for their word in a few days my car would seize and engine would be gone. Hit Italian coming to you. This is unacceptable, irresponsible and quite frankly dangerous. I wonder if the car should be towed to another store. Of course on their dime. I'm fuming. They have the wrong customer to do this too. I can be very mouthy. We were visiting from Indiana and felt heavy vibration when applying the brakes the whole drive down. Scheduled appointment immediately upon arrival and advised we needed new pads and possibly new rotors. Contacted Firestone at 4pm to ask the status on our vehicle as we had not heard from them all day. I was told they were 'still examining the vehicle'. Called back at 4:25pm and were told we did not need any new pads or rotors. So it took 8 hours to determine we didn't need any work done when we already knew we needed pads??! I don't think so... when we arrived and raised concern with their findings and the length of time it took they lifted my vehicle back up to re-examine. Afterwards, my invoice reflected the recommendation of all new front and rear pads and rotors!!! I am taking my vehicle back to Nissan and WILL be contacting Firestone with the bill. Run, do not walk, as fast as you can away from this service center. I needed a replacement tire for one I had purchased at this location that had failed. It had a 50,000 mile warranty and the tire had only 12,000 miles on it when the sidewall split. Even after the warranty from the failed tire was "allegedly" applied, the bill was still more than $125 to replace a nearly new tire. I have been a customer of this location for more than 15 years, now I can't trust them with a tire change. Will never set foot in this location again. read more

This place is absolutely awful. I brought my car in for a nail in the tire. I was told it was supposed to take 45 mins - 1 hour, 2 hours later I was still sitting there wondering what was going on. The manager, Justin, says " we are just going to run the safety check...we noticed the engine light is on" I said, the engine light wasn't on when I arrived? Why is it on now? Justin mockingly, basically calls me a liar. He says there is no way they could do that. It's a bit of coincidence right? My engine light wasn't on when I get there, and now magically it is, and I'm being told it was on all along?? Yeah, right. This place is a joke. Especially the manager, Justin. My husband called later asking Justin for his manager's name, and Justin scoffed and said I AM the manager, this is my store, there is no one above me. He said he couldn't give us the corporate number b/c he is the one in charge. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. Do yourself a favor and stay away. I had another negative instance prior to this where they left my window down during a rainstorm. Totally soaked my seat and carpets. Had an emergency alternator issue on our trip down to Siesta Key. The mechanics were nice and did their best to fix the car quickly, but it took forever because of an issue with getting the old one out. Still, like most name mechanics they're a little overpriced, but sometimes it's better to just go with someone familiar than get screwed over by a no-name mechanic. read more

This place is a complete joke! I took my truck into this location because it was leaking oil. Justin, the guy behind the computer, was very rude and unprofessional. I should've left at this point and gone somewhere else, but I had to get to work and didn't have time. I told Justin that my truck is leaking oil and I need it inspected and fixed. I got Uber and went to work. Around 3pm I get a call from Justin. He gives me a long list of things that need to be fixed, but at no point did he mention the actual reason I took the car in, in the first place! The oil leak! Taillight bulbs, license place bulb fuel system cleaning, coolant flush, basically all the nonsense and every service they offer! He said I needed to replace my timing belt and my accessory belts. And here is the kicker, 90% of the things he said that need to be done were already done 10 days ago!!!!!! Coolant flush, timing belt, accessory belts, and so on were all replaced and brand new! These jokers didn't even look at my car and just started lying to me to sell me things! He said my one week old belts looked cracked and worn. He was supposed offer me a free alignment check, instead he charged me for it! So between these crooks and Uber rides to work and back to Firestone I wasted a whole day and $100, and then on top of that I was lied to!! If they did all the things the bill would've been over $1600!! Ridiculous! I took it to a REAL master mechanic down the road (just a couple of miles away) my oil leak was fixed for $300, he washed the engine too! 3 days later he called to see how the truck was doing!!! How awesome is that? That's what I call service! You can go to Firestone and get charged $1600 for things you don't need so a 22 year old Tech without any training can play with your car (not a mechanic) or you can just go to a real master mechanic with knowledge and experience and only pay for what you actually need. You decide. I complained and asked for my money back, corporate didn't do anything about it for two weeks. But it was a matter of principle and I wasn't going to let them get away with this so I kept calling and calling until I got a call back, from Justin himself. And then he actually told me that I wasted his time!!! When I asked him why he said I needed new belts? He said because they had oil on them!!! I guess degreasers and water don't exist at Firestone! Per Justin, anything that has oil on it you you must throw it away! If your motor has on it just throw it away! Because that's how things work at Firestone! But original lie was that my belts were old and cracked. And yes I got my money back! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place, you can thank me later! read more

Had a screw in our tire on vacation. We arrived 15 min after opening and were told that one person with a starter and one person with a nail in their tire were ahead of us. We dropped it off as we had other plans for our wedding anniversary for a kayak tour. We came back almost 5 hours later to find it was not even started. We were told we were a walk in and there was other appointments. Not what we were told when we dropped it off. After just about walking out they said they would bring it in. Then after 30 minutes it was done! We did not plan for this to happen on vacation but what I don't appreciate is lies! Just be honest when we first brought it in. It was a Sunday and they did not want to work. They could have had ours done by the time we got back. If we would have waited I am certain they would not have made us wait for 5 hours for 30 minute job ,if that for 1 tire!!!!!! You need to work on customer service if you even care about that! read more
