Brought my car in for an alignment on a busy Sunday and they got me in and out of there in 30 minutes. (Went to 2 Firestone's in 2 weeks because the one in Gilbert-Higley botched my alignment causing it to drift right.) They didn't try to upsell me and the techs got my car almost immediately onto the racks. Fast, friendly and efficient. An added bonus is that they're located in downtown Scottsdale with a lot of tasty restaurants nearby. By far one of the best Firestone experiences I've had. read more

Jeff Mathews is the man. Without this man this place would be a crap hole. He was very responsive and knows how to manage the time and the customers. Everyone one else in this place is just "Garbage". Without Jeff the other staff and management would make this locations up for closing down. Thank you again Jeff for a speedy time in and out. The people at the shop are great. And service has been good. BUT, ONLY make an appointment if you actually speak to a manager at the physical shop. The system Firestone uses to make appointments online does not work. They cancel them. And I even spoke to some general reservations person, not at the specific shop, and that appointment was also canceled. read more

This is by far the worst firestone in scottsdale. Do not, DO NOT even bother with this locations. Do not waste your time making an appointment. I made an appointment at 5, got there at 4:30 and 6 o'clock came around and they had YET to even touch my car. They have time to do a show and tell for a bunch of kids but don't have time to stay on track of time for appointments. WHY offer appointments if you aren't going to go by them? Why not tell someone you don't have any appointments rather than just wasting their time. Completely rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional of them. They have no outlets if you need to plug anything in, no water bottles unlike most locations, little parking. Overall a terrible experience. I purchased the lifetime alignment a while back and am completely regretting spending any money here. I hope this locations learns to say no to customers if they are over booked or planning on having a bunch of kids come in to learn to work on cars. RIDICULOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE. read more

Firestone, especially this location, will have my business forever. I've had two of my cars serviced here a few times, and brought my car in today (12.03.18) to get a headlight replaced. The tech who helped me, LJ, actually discovered within minutes of me arriving that the headlight wasn't out - the connection was just a bit loose! Saved me time and money, and I am very appreciative! After having AutoZone sell me a battery that was too small, Big O screwing up my brakes, and JiffyLube straight up refusing to service my car, Firestone has been the reliable service station I've been looking for. Great guys and great service. Always thorough and straightforward with you. Had a small mix up once and they made it right. I bring both my vehicles here for regular service as well as any needed work. If you want an honest place to get your vehicle work done this is the place I recommend! Update 04/04/18: Had new rims installed on one of the two vehicles I take here - wow! Great job and polished the tires up so nice! Next day heard a rattle. Called them up and they said drop off tonight and we will look at it first thing in the morning. Got a call late morning and they found the issue - totally unrelated to the new rims installed. Store manager Sean told me what the issue was and he had already fixed it, parts and all. BUT - check this out - they fixed it and didn't charge me. What!?! Sean said his team appreciated that I was a loyal customer and knew I only let them work on my vehicles. They always follow through and do a great job of keeping you updated on their progress, costs, etc... That's why they have my committed business for my vehicles. I've always wondered why anyone would sit down to write a review, and who could possibly have time to do so. Once I brought my car to this Firestone, I now understand how an experience can be frustrating enough for someone to sit down and take the time write a review. My car's AC would intermittently not blow out of the vents. I spent $170 towards remedying this issue, only to have it not work. Not only did it not work, but after they completed these services Firestone admitted that the services they performed on my car would have never remedied the issue (AC not blowing at all vs. cold AC). I admittedly should have done more research, however I had trusted that the team members at Firestone would not "pull one over" on me as our interactions had been so pleasant. I took my car elsewhere (I'll be writing a good review for them) and they fixed it within 10 minutes. The issue was so minor they didn't charge me. Piece of advice: go to auto shops that have good reviews or have had good things said about them per Mark Salem. The only redeeming part of this experience is that they did refund the $170. Although they did refund me, the amount of time spent in their shop, on the phone, and doing research to prove what they did to my car was completely unnecessary has solidified my decision to never bring my car here and to tell anyone and everyone I know to steer clear of this Firestone. read more

I never write reviews, even if an experience is poor. However this is the worst experience of TERRIBLE customer service I have ever received. I asked Jim a total of two questions and he was so rude and acted like I was asking for his kidney. I called back to speak to the manager Nate to let me know about the experience, get an apology, and move on. Nate's empathy was nonexistent. He didn't say he would talk to Jim. Didn't say a simple "hey I'm really sorry about that, I'll be happy to help you out from here and make sure that doesn't happen again." He said Jim is his best employee and he was probably busy. If he's is your cream of the crop, and Nate can't take any accountability on his behalf, then you don't deserve to be in business. Honestly in utter shock about my experience this week as I have been to this Firestone in the past. I spoke with Jim Monday requesting same day availability. He explained they could not fit me in as they were 'short staffed' and then proceeded to give me excuses. He did not once stop to provider a solution and say I have this time available on this day. I finally had to stop him complaining to ask for the next availability at 4pm. He told me Wednesday, I agreed. He looked up my phone number and confirmed my vehicle was still the same. Now come to Wednesday at 3:50PM to drop my car off. Jim is working the counter. His first response is oh I didn't know we had any more appointments today. Checked his calendar and explained I'm not on the schedule and if I want they can do it in 2.5 hours. I pulled up my home log to show the day, time and length of conversation clearly scheduling an appointment. Once again instead of offering even a simple "I'm sorry about the confusion" let alone a solution, he began rattling off excuses. I completely understand things happen and you may be 'short staffed,' however, the attitude Jim provided without a single apology is inexcusable. I will be calling Nate the manager in the morning. read more

I took my car to this place cause this is one of the few in The Valley that service Range Rovers. I got oil changed and all the filters replaced. When I picked up my car it had a light on in the dashboard indicating "transmisión Fault" and they AC was making a weird noise when on. I was looking online for a possible cause and I found out that my car has an auxiliary little battery right next to the cabin filter. That battery was the one causing that light to be on. I went under the glove compartment and noticed that this guys didn't connect the battery back when they replaced the cabin filter and on top of that the cabin filter was not installed properly as it was not all the way in; I could see it and touch it from the outside and obviously this was the reason of the AC making a weird noise. I went to talk to them and see if they were going to be able to install it properly and they told me they couldn't do anything if the manager was not in the shop. They asked me to come back during week days from 7 to 4:30pm and to do such thing I would have to take a day off from work. Not fair when they were the ones that didn't do their job properly. If I could give less stars than one I would. But my brand new Honda Civic needed a tire replacement and firestone seemed to be the only place that sold them. Since my car is newer they didn't have my tire in stock but I made sure to call before, set up an appointment, and made sure the tire I needed was in stock. I had an appointment at 2 pm for ONE tire replacement. I sat in the waiting area for an hour and half just for the guy to come tell me that the damage was not bad enough for a replacement. So I waited for almost two hours for someone to tell me they weren't going to fix my tire. I came to the Honda dealership at Superstition Springs and the guy here said it was dangerous for me to be driving on the road with the type of damage on my tire. They replaced my tire in under an hour, washed my car, AND filled my tank. Don't waste your time here... read more

They told me if I made an appointment, then they'll be able to check the battery within 15 mins, not replacing it etc but to tell me if the battery is still good. Got there on time then I was told it's going to be a 2hrs wait before they can even look at my car. The front desk person said only one of their staff showed up, I understand that, however he could at least notify his appointments to let them know what to expect, then I can reschedule and wouldn't have drove all the way there. it's not like he's busy, he's just chatting around. read more

I have brought my car here two times and both times I had such a great experience. The first, my car needed a battery replacement - they were so helpful over the phone, recommended a tow company, and even fit me into their schedule the same day I called ( which was superbowl Sunday!) They called me immediately after checking out the car and were able to replace the battery and do some preventative maintenance for what I would consider to be a very fair price. Second time, wasn't even sure what was wrong with my car. Again, got it towed - and they called me to let me Know that they had to do a full diagnostic on the car. I agreed. Exactly an hour later they called me back- told me the problem was super simple and some wires just needed to be cleaned. Also, they noticed the battery wasn't performing he way it should so they went ahead and replaced it again for me. All in all, my car was ready the same day I came in and they only charged me for a little bit of labor and that was it. Anytime something goes wrong, they are my go to. read more

I have taken in my Ford f-150 before, and although this place has many competent ,very friendly, and helpful employees The second time around has been a disaster. I was quoted one price, and when i took my truck in they called to let me know it would be five times more than the original quote, I agreed anyway, having been a long time family truck and having sentimental value, as well as being a fairly good condition truck i wanted to see what was causing its issue. so they went through it and gave me vague information as to what it could be , but at the end of the day the truck no longer shook so i went home happy. seeing that the truck that i took in with half a tank was now almost empty, i drove into the gas station around the corner and began to fuel, almost $100 later i turn on the truck and realize, the gas meter is still pointing at "E" ! long story short i called them to ask if they had some sort of warranty or to see if they could possibly have moved something in the truck that caused this issue, Joel the "manager" disregarded me completely, spoke over me every time i tried to voice a concern, and let me know it was a complete coincidence and he could not , and didn't care about the situation. super rude guy, unreliable service, don't trust them. last time going there . read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! GO TO BIG O DOWN THE STREET. Went in for a battery change. THEY CHANGED THE BATTERY(156$). 8 hours later without the car being driven at all it wont start up. I call them and explained I was JUST THERE and now my car doesnt work. They didnt see the relation and wanted to CHARGE ME AN ADDITIONAL 100$ just to look at it. Im pissed but I say ok. I need someone to jump my vehicle to take it there. They wont come to me ( I live down the street) thats ok, I go in they wont sell me jumper cables and they wouldnt let me use any jumper cables. The store manger NATE and the two lackeys at the front desk ( PORTER, and lady )deserve to be talked to at the very least. Corporate promised the store manager would call me and he never did, so i called the store and the manager proceeded to yell at me and started the convo off with "oh yea you harassed my guys". Customer service is astoundingly bad, but on top of it its borderline fraud. They charged me for a service that didnt get done and then wanted to charge me to look at an issue they created. Big O charged me 94 dollars to LOOK AND FIX the issue this disaster of a business created which turned out to be cracked terminals and wiring frayed from the battery to the system ( oh yea thats not related when all of that was fine before). I reported this to the FTC (federal trade commission) and bbb because my neighbor had the same thing happen when he went in for a battery change. Car wouldnt start after they changed it, and told him it was the alternator and starter. Charged the poor guy hundreds and it didnt fix the mistake turned out to be a parasitic draw SAVE YOUR MONEY GO ELSEWHERE!!!! SHADY SHADY SHADY. read more

Funny story. My AC wasn't running at peak performance, so I thought I'd have Firestone take a look. $55 later I was told it would cost me $2000 to fix. Thinking that sounded quite steep, I took it to showcase honda to see what they could do. In and out in less than an hour for $187. AC works perfectly! The staff at Firestone were very friendly and welcoming. The store was well kept and clean. But thanks Dan at Showcase Honda for being honest and saving me $1800!! read more

These guys tried to rip me off or they just don't know what they are talking about. Went in for an oil change on my Toyota. When I went to pay they said I needed a new drive shaft and rack n pinion steering module and would cost $3000. I bought a lifetime alignment package with them and have gone back 4 times in the last 6 months to get my alignment fixed and the last time I brought it in I dropped my truck off at 9 AM hoping to have it done by the afternoon however when I called at 4pm I was told it was next in line... fast forward to 7pm I get a call Saying they couldn't get it in that day and that it would be first in line to get worked on the next day. They open at 7 so I called at 9:30 to see what the progress was and sure enough it still wasn't done, I spoke with Nick and he seemed to be very short with me about the situation and not explaining what was taking so long. read more

They have idiots that don't know how to rack a car up on a lift without damaging it. Then they deny any wrong doing and claim it's the owners fault for having a low car and it must be from you scraping your car on something. Even though the damage is IDENTICAL on both sides of the vehicle and is VERY CLEARLY damage done by the arms of the lift. What kind of garbage ass company treats a customer this way??! So the time for an Oil Change finallllly came and as predicted, to Firestone I went. Called the night before and set up a Friday am appointment to drop my car off before work and grab it at lunch, they were super accommodating... the tech on the phone even answered my questions about current specials! When I dropped the Edge off in the am it was a bit busy in the large lobby, but they did a great job of handling the line and servicing customers with an appointment (ahheeemm) right on schedule. The only snafu happened when I walked in to pick up my car and I realized I had left my debit card on my desk at work. Drat. Once again, they were understanding and I was back on schedule shortly. Went in here for a simple oil change and they took 2 hours to do it (even though I set an appointment). They also did an inspection and came back with a few things that needed to get done on the car but provided no quote. They were decently priced and friendly, but the inconvenience in the service time won out on this review. With only 1 day notice, I dropped off the Jeep because it was stuttering. This vehicle has been with me a long time and yes, it was trying to tell me something along the lines of HELP! The seal on the manifold needed to be replaced, along with the spark plugs, caps and a few other minor things. They assessed the situation quickly, called me with an estimate and gave the expected turnaround time for the pickup. These are routine for any business, but here's where they got the 5th Star! They saved me about $50 or so because they did not have to replace everything and one of the parts less expensive. Also, gave me a 10% discount for using my Firestone card ( no interest for 6 months!). And... After picking up the Jeep, I drove to Yosemite National Park to climb and camp for a week. The drive is 10-11 hours! Not a stutter or peep from the engine, only had to fill it with gas and clean the windshield occasionally. The drive there is not easy, a lot of elevation gain (which is hard on an engine). I've been fortunate to have found this location since moving here in 2005, it is the only shop that I take my '97 Jeep to for auto work. They have the history of all of the repairs and are always understanding when I do have some issues or complaints. If you need any work on a last minute notice, I would not recommend this facility. My husband had a flat tire and I called and made an appt for it to be replaced. My husband brought his car at the appt time and paid for the services and was told he could pick it up after hours as we would not be available until then to do so. When he came to get it, it was locked behind the garage door. The next day, I came to pick it up and they said it was not store policy to allow them to leave it outside. Which is fine, but that should have been told to him the day before. I went into this location and Bill I assume is the store manager assisted me. I was going in for a tire rotation and alignment check. The staff informed me of needing to replace a couple tires that was unsafe. After looking at the tires I know I needed to replace them also however my firestone credit card was already maxed out at almost $4,500 as I have had a lot of work done to my vehicle and firestone (different locations, mostly in Louisiana) has done all my work. Well we called to do a credit line extension however they could not approve me at the time. This is where Bill went above and beyond to make sure I was safe. Bill replaced the 2 tires for me at no cost to me. He said he will eat the cost to make sure I was safe on the road. Wait, what things like this typically don't happen to me. I was almost in tears and had to go into the restroom as I was almost embarrassed to get tear drops in my eyes, lol. It goes to show you they have great people in this world and obviously someone higher up was looking down on me today. I am still blown away by this man of how he went above and beyond in a time of need for someone. I was TRUELY blessed today especially in a time of need when I didn't have the extra money. I have never written a Yelp review, but in this case I felt it was necessary. I took my car into Firestone last week for a full inspection. I was told the battery was testing well below which needed to be replaced immediately, and the suspension was worn and needed $800 in repairs. I told them my battery was replaced a month earlier and that couldn't be true but was assured by them the battery was done. Upon inspection by AAA, the battery was actually testing well above average. I also took my car to another nearby mechanic for a second opinion on the suspension and was told there were literally no major issues and it simply needed to be greased properly. By the way, if you are looking for a reputable shop in the area, I highly recommend JW Auto Care. The cherry on top of all this was being told my windshield wipers "were extremely rare and the only ones he could find to replace would cost over $60". A quick Amazon search and I had $15 wipers delivered a couple days later. I am all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, but in this situation, it is pretty clear to me that I was flat out being scammed by them. If you have taken your car here, I would highly recommend getting a second opinion elsewhere. read more

If there was a zero star option I would chose it!I have been a customer for the last 6 years with two different cars. They performed a mileage service plus was supposed to check out a rattle sound. I told them exactly where to look and they didn't bother. Above that I asked them about it on pickup, they asked for the keys again and said they 'couldnt hear it' Wow! cause everyone who sets foot in my car can. Too funny. Worst service ever, buyer beware!!!! And I mean the worst service of ANY kind, not just car. I have no idea how they are still in business, they should be shut down. I need to start this off by saying I took my previous vehicle here for service for years, and the service was always exceptional. When my new car needed service I chose to bring it here instead of the dealership because of my previous experiences. After my visit yesterday I am never coming to this location again. I arrived at 1:45 to drop my car off for my 2 PM appointment. I was informed they were running behind and the car will be ready between 430 and 5. There was nothing they could do because they were nine cars ahead of me and they were not staffed properly. So I called an Uber and I went home. At 4:30 I called to see where they were with my vehicle. I was then informed that it would be another hour and a half until the car was ready. I then received a phone call at 5 o'clock letting me know that my car was ready and of course they had a recommendation for a air filter replacement. I approved this and returned to Firestone by 5:30 to pick up my car. When I arrived my car was still not ready, and I was greeted with yet another upsell. I was very unhappy and stressed out by this time because I had to be somewhere at 6 PM to drop off my son. The employee was extremely saccharine and dismissive. I have never experienced someone just starting a conversation with another customer over my shoulder instead of finishing a conversation with me first, much less doing this repeatedly. I could clearly see at 5:45 that my car was sitting there waiting for me, the employee went outside and took his time chitchatting, putting cones away and in general doing some sort of closing activities out there. He came back in at 6 PM to finally check me out and instead of doing that he again took his time chitchatting with another person who is upfront, it was almost as if he was taking some sort of pleasure in seeing someone get upset and hoping that it would escalate into a confrontation. I kept my cool and was reserved and polite as I just wanted to get the hell out. When I get in my car they had pushed my seat so far back that I couldn't even touch my gas pedal to start the engine so I can move my seat (power). Ridiculous. It was also dark by the time that I was unable to properly inspect my vehicle to make sure that no damage to take in place of the exterior/interior during the service. There is literally no excuse for the employee behavior. I can understand running behind, but it's Firestone's job to staff correctly or reschedule appointments. The double upsell was ridiculous. I noted in my appointment that I would wait during service, so I incurred additional costs with cab fare. Unhappy is an understatement. Oh I forgot to mention I was there for a oil change and tire rotation "if necessary". read more
