I've never done any business with Firestone, but after what I've been through, I can safely say, I never will, and strongly urge others not to as well!!! While in line at a gas pump adjacent to this Firestone store, one of their employees blindly backed out of a garage bay directly into the rear quarter of my vehicle. They acknowledged fault, paid for over $4000 in repairs, but are refusing to compensate me for diminished value. Their claim is that it's "not due in Massachusetts". My lawyer tells me otherwise! Despite working to get an explanation from them for the past 3 months, I've had NO RESPONSE from them. Next stop, small claims court! SCAMMERS! I had a small screw in my front left tire, just wanted a patch so I could get to work. They looked at my tire for about 3 seconds and told me the trim was too low to patch (it wasn't and my front two tires are only a few months old). The guy walked around and looked at my tires, said they were in dangerous condition. They quoted me $1000 for FOUR NEW TIRES when all I wanted was a $30 patch! I said I definitely wasn't doing that and if anything I would just get two new front tires if absolutely necessary. I got a quote of $500 for two tires just in case, and went to AAA Tire Company down the street to see what they had to say. AAA Tire Company patched my tire in less than an hour and told me that it was FAR FROM UN-PATCHABLE. Firestone employees are just a bunch of scammers that would rather wring you for your money for a commission check than to do the right thing. read more

The office is not very nice but the service was 5 stars. Four tire mounted,balance and alignment and warranty approximately $900 and if you've shopped around you know this is a good price! I had to wait for the car and was told it would be approximately 2 hours but it was done in one hour. Oil change & tire rotation every 5-7000 mi. They email your invoice so don't know what they did unless ask before pay when done with job. On email said need tires soon. That was last appt. few months ago. Went back & mngr said tires a little worn on outside should get alignment. I said when I bought them 1 yr ago had alignment. Fast forward to today's appt I was told I need to get alignment everytime I get tires rotated. I said show me where it says that. Couldn't. So would not rotate my tires. I said i have been doing business here since 2001. Never had any major issues like this. I asked if I did buy new tires would I receive any compensation or pro-ration. Ordered two tires a couple of days ago and the sales rep said they would be in and ready to be installed for my appointment date. I showed up and the tires were not available, so they tried to sell me the Firestone brand. I told them to forget it and I will not be going back. The sales rep tried to say that it was another reps fault, which it may have been. Don't come here if you're on a tight schedule! Even if you made an appointment, it doesn't mean that they can start working on your car right away, and the time estimate they gave you could also mean nothing. I made an appointment earlier the same day, the guy on the phone told me that they will need 30 mins to plug a tire. I went to Firestone during my lunch break at 12.30pm, the guy at the counter who checked me in was very friendly and nice. 25 mins later, I stepped out of the waiting room to check on the status of my car. This time, it was a different guy at the counter. He wasn't as friendly, said that there was no way a tire could be plugged in 30 mins, and that I was given a wrong estimated completion time on the phone. A voice from the office instructed him to check on the current status of the car first before explaining anything to me. 10-15 mins later, he comes back to tell me that they have not even started on my car, and that it was next in line!! Then he promised me that they could do in 30 mins if I could wait (I thought that wasn't possible?). To be fair, firestone did do a good job with plugging my tire and I was charged a reasonable price. I just feel like they need to be responsible for the appointments that they have committed to, instead of keeping everyone waiting in the waiting room. I was stranded with a flat tire halfway between Cape Cod and Vermont. Despite it being late on a busy day they were able to work me in to get the tire patched and rebalanced and had me on my way in about an hour. Very grateful for the excellent service! read more

I went in for an oil change. They forgot to fill the car with oil- completely empty! The manager said the filter was loose but there was NO oil on the driveway or under the car. I needed to purchase oil to get the car back to Firestone. I was "comped" with a free oil change at a later date. It cost me $175 for an oil change! The only reason my engine didn't seize is that the car is a hybrid (ran on battery most of the way). Never, ever going to Firestone again! I would suggest Jiffy lube or AAA Tire instead. read more

I wasn't going to post this, but it has been eating at me. Took my car in for an oil change and waited the best part of two hours. That, however, is not my complaint. Three weeks prior I had gotten my sticker and they told me I had one tire that was cracked and worn and to think of replacing it in the next couple of months. The week before my oil change, I had run over something and replaced two tires. The one that blew and the one that was worn. When I left after my oil change, I discovered that their recommendations said two tires cracked and worn and two worn. Funny that I had purchased two the week before. I had the displeasure of visiting this location at496 Main Street in wilmington Ma 0n sunday morning 9-11-22.When I awoke I noticed that I had a drywall screw in my rear tire and it was flat.I installed air in the tire ans drove to this location to have it repaired.The car was put up on the lift and the managerMatt Benoit came into the waiting room and requested that I come into the garage to look at the tire.At that point he informed me that he could not repair my tire and tried to get me to buy four new tires.I said that was unreasonable and expected him to make a very easy repair on my tire and I would be on my way.He persisted that he wouls not repair the tire and that I needed four new tires.At that point I drove my car down the street and had it repaired for $10.Not only was Mr Benoit rude deceitful and arrogant he was abold faced liar.Beware of this store and shop elsewhere for your tire needs.I hope this is read by an area representative ans something is done about Mr Benoit's employment at Firestone Complete auto care.Feel free to contact me on any other issues you would like to discuss.Arthur Boghosian @ arty2316@gmail.com read more

No frill service. Got my oil change done and nobody tried to sell me more stuff. It took a while (more than an hour) though, and I did have an appointment. One thing they didn't do right was to reset the maintenance warning message - mine is a 2008 Camry hybrid - so I had to do it myself. BTW, don't come hungry if you have to wait - no food service within walking distance. :) read more

DO NOT GO to Firestone in Wilmington!!!! They refused to do service on my car because I asked them to price match THEIR OWN price! The guy working there today at 2:30pm was the rudest person I have ever met! He said 'no, that's not going to happen. If you don't want to pay our price, you can get it done somewhere else.' UNBELIEVABLE!!!! They already cancelled my appointment on Thursday, I need an oil change. So I agreed to their price and said it's the last time I'm going there. THE WORKER SAID FORGET IT I'M NOT TOUCHING YOUR CAR. Ummm what??? NEVER in my life has this happened to me. Aren't companies supposed to care about the customer experience? The service here is very poor! Called and made an appointment for 2 pm. My car sat for an hour before they moved it. Then it took them another Hour plus to change oil and rotate tires. Then they charge me $28 for the Oil change! Better off to take business elsewhere! One positive thing is they do have free WIFI! read more

I brought in a driving school car because we needed a light fixed rather quickly, all I needed to know was if this was something they could do rather quickly and the cost. Walked in and the guy at the desk, needless to say a complete idiot when it comes to customer service. I've never felt pressured into having any work done, and since I drive a '96 Geo Prizm, they let me know when they think something isn't worth the money. I had two cars that went in at once. They person who greeted us and kept us abreast of each cars situation was extremely friendly and I felt he had our best interest at heart as he did give us some added discounts. He called frequently to let us know. Both cars drove great after. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five was the time expectations they gave. We were in there much longer than we were initially told as well as longer than the time updates he gave throughout the day. Overall though... very satisfied. read more

I did not have a good experience with these guys. I made an appointment to have my car winterized with oil change, replace my thermostat (which was not running properly), flush my radiator and add new coolant. They did the oil change but didn't replace the filter - I'm happy they at least told me that. Apparently they couldn't get the canister open to get the filter out and didn't want to break it. But, they still charged me for the new filter. I had to make another appointment for the thermostat/coolant flush and I asked them to put in a new filter and their response was, "Well, if that's what you want." Um...yes, it is. Why do an oil change and replace the oil if you don't/can't replace the filter? Especially if you charged me for it. At my 2nd appointment, they were to flush my radiator and put in new coolant. The next day my low engine coolant light came on so I took it back. There was a bubble in the system, they said, and they put in new coolant. Everything was fine and then 3 weeks later my low engine coolant light came on again. But, this time, I was not taking it back to Firestone so I took it to another mechanic who said my coolant level was right below the coolant line. She put in more coolant and everything was fine. 4 days later I noticed leaking under my car (I suspected it was coolant) so I took it back to this other mechanic. She checked my car and said that there was a valve that wasn't screwed on tight and the coolant was leaking through that. She tighted the valve and just to be sure, she popped in a new oil filter to be sure that I did, indeed, have a new one. Dealing with the guys at Firestone was just not good and what they say they did to my care, I have confidence that they even did it. I will never take my car to them again. read more

I have done business with this location with my vehicle and my dads Jeep. I recently called for a price on a Megatron battery. They quoted me $300 on my vehicle. I then compared that quote with Interstate Battery Retailer and Upgraded the battery model to Megatron Plus. Their price was $191, with no installation, which I can do my self. Then I called 495 Jeep and was quoted $173 for a Original equipment battery from Mopar, installed $213. Well everyone knows dealerships have high prices , Firestone Complete Car Care was way overpriced.Anyway last time I purchased a Megatron Plus from this location it cost me $150 , winter of 2013. I have been going to this Firestone for several years to get my tires serviced. They charged a reasonable rate for tire installations and got the work done in a respectable time frame (roughly 15 minutes per tire balanced and mounted). They are one of the contract installers for Tire Rack and I have been satisfied with their new tire installations services. I am especially appreciative of the fact that they did not try to up sell me on things that I don't need. I cannot comment on their other mechanical services since I did not try them. read more

We called on a Sunday and they took us that day, fixed what they could and finished the job the next morning when a part they ordered arrived. Fair, honest and professional. For once, I did not feel as though I was being ripped off by a auto repair place. I will be back for sure. And I compared prices-oil change with synthetic oil-28$ for my Hyundai Sonata-twice as much at Jiffy Lube for synthetic. 55$ for front end alignment(ball joint replaced)-I paid more at Town Faire Tire and my father paid twice as much at another garage. Had been going there for years. Stopped going there a few years ago after they messed up a tuneup ....a loose plug blew out.....repairs $ 2500... Before that.... installed brake line so it scraped and blew!!! also replaced a tie rod......which failed tire rack inspection the next day!!! They did remedy each incident. Went back two days ago for tires......they dragged the oil pan going onto the lift.....83 Mercedes.....did not torque the wheels....very tight. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I had some fairly complicated problems with my car involving the electric power steering. It did take them some time, but the main reason I can't deduct any stars at all for the wait was the OUTSTANDING customer service. I had a road trip planned for the weekend and they understood and did everything in their power and then some to make sure I had a vehicle in time. While I appreciate the energy and involvement from the Reading Store Manager and the Area Manager during the fact-finding I am somewhat surprised and confused now. Why suddenly silent while customer service (corporate) tells me they are in a position to make it right. The Reading store has now twice established that the $1400 repair to my Mercedes E500 is due to poor workmanship at the Wilmington store. Do I need to drive my car to a third Firestone location for another voluntary FULL inspection?, as it seems the Reading Manager and the Area Manager are not happy with the inspection results and are running out of options not to make good for their mistake. read more
