This is absolutely by far the WORST company to deal with ever. Everything that has previously been said in other reviews happened to us. We tried for months to get a hold of some type of management with zero response. I would NEVER recommend First Choice to anyone! They are a bunch of scammers! Do not be fooled by the promise of great service at lower prices because just as another reviewer stated, they all of a sudden "realize" what they offered you doesn't service your area and you're stuck paying higher prices because they didn't deliver the bundle they promised! Don't waist your time with this company. If you see them at a home show RUN they will lie to your face about what they can provide you. They will tell you they can save you all sorts of money with DIRECTV and get you to sign a contract then you end up paying a $50 cash only activation fee even though you are already a DIRECTV member. They tell you they will install all new equipment and set up an install date. But when no one shows up and you call that's when you start getting the run a around. i.e. I'm sorry we can't provide you with this service. But they can't tell you why. Another phone call. Same thing but now it's because we already had DIRECTV. OK was anyone going to call us and let us know that....And now what about our $50. Oh that will take 7 to 10 business days. Now it's been 11 business days and we can't reach anyone in the billing office and oh BTW who ever told you it would be 7 to 10 days miss spoke it's a lot lo ger than that. First choice communications is nothing but a big scam!! We were at the Big Tent in Quartzsite Arizona and stopped at their booth to check out what they had to offer. Long story short...we signed up and paid Cody $50. cash to start the service he promised. We got nothing! He lied to us time after time when we went back to the Big Tent event ask questions of him. We've spent many hours on the phone with Direct TV trying to get the channels we need and get the problem resolved. So far we have nothing! We are at our wits end and cannot believe their horrible customer service. Our advice to you folks out there considering signing up with First Choice Communications...DONT DO IT...STAY AWAY FROM THEM. We intend to report them and hope something can be done to put them out of business!! read more

SCAM - don't waste your time. Terrible experience. I spoke to them at our state fair and wanted to switch cell providers to AT&T. They worked up a deal for the phones that included visa gift cards, told me how much my monthly bill would be and that they would send the phones in the mail (that I would get a tracking # for them and would see them in approx 3 business days). I never received any information so I called and that's when the runaround started. Nobody could answer my questions. The girls that answers the phone is rude and illiterate. Then, every time I called after that everyone was either in a meeting, in another building or otherwise unavailable (or they just didn't answer the phone). When I finally received a return phone call I told them I wanted everything sent to me in writing - guess what? They never called back after I said that. If you are interested in AT&T visit them directly, do NOT go through this 'authorized dealer'. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I ran into the company at a Home and Garden show and like others have stated in their reviews they completely lied about how the transaction would be handled. 1. The Rep at the show informed us that they could install the satellite anywhere, including in the yard, for no extra charge. When the installer came to install he said there would be $350 fee to install the satellite in the yard, so we opted for the roof. 2. The Rep at the show informed us that we would be reimbursed 100% for our early termination fee with Dish Network. It has been over a year and they have only reimbursed us for half of the cost. I have repeatedly reached out to them. Most of the time, I receive no response. Out of the 16 emails that I have sent to them, I have received 3 responses. 2 of the responses were to tell me that this was the max amount that they would reimburse me and the third was to tell me that a check was on the way (that was over two months ago and nothing has been sent). This company is a complete scam. The Reps that work at the shows should be informed of the company policies. Otherwise they should honor the promises that they are making with new customers. read more

Too bad that I cannot give negative stars! We were at the Ohio State Fair and were approached by Robert Macdonald and Jeffrey Mccarter. As a Spectrum customer, we had been having issues including poor tv service and increasing bills. The men promised us the sun, moon, and stars including a $200 Visa gift card, military discount, and special pricing. Three days after our DirectTv was installed, we got our first bill and guess what? It was much higher than we had been promised. I have everything in writing by these men, but they will not answer their calls. I have already spoke with DirectTv and they have tried to help, but they can only do so much! I am also filing complaints with the BBB and the Ohio State Attorney General's office. In Ohio, they frown on salesmen scamming senior citizens! Wish I had read the reviews before I did anything! Our friend Pete (who I already felt was a little sketchy) made me all sorts of promises. "Did you know that AT&T is going to drop Uverse in the next 3 months - so you'll need to pay higher prices to pick up Directv when you have no service?" I told them I didn't want to fill out any forms as I had to speak with my husband first - "oh no - this is just to hold your deal" - luckily I'm smart enough not to sign anything that would place a charge on my card. I kept telling them - this wasn't my account it was my husbands and we just wanted information about switching. So after receiving a confirmation for my new account and installation I call my "sales rep" and leave her a message and to cover my bases I call the 866 number on the bottom of the form that gets me to "First Choice Communications". I explain I want to cancel my order, the service guy asks me why, blah, blah blah - I am automatically switched over to the high pressure sale guy. "With us you get direct access to a representative because we have skin in the game, with them you'll get some flunky that probably doesn't even live in this country.... you'll have to wait hours...." that right there determined he lost the sale. Don't EVER try to sell your service by bashing someone else. I let him go through his pitch and after I said "I appreciate what you've just told me, but I would still like to cancel" I got an "ok" and he HUNG UP!!!! No thank you, no goodbye. And you're bashing someone else's customer service???? Very unprofessional. And BTW - back to Pete - after speaking with AT&T directly.... all lies, just about everything he told me.... glad I did my homework and got out. read more

I wish there was a no star! Beware! Rep Justin Outlaw came to our house and said we would have fees waived, they are auto dealers with AT&T, all were untrue. This company is a scam! I was told nothing would be charged to my card, I was told installs would be free and promised a really nice security system. Bad customer service and Direct TV was no help. At the San Diego Car Show, my friend was corralled into their booth - they made a deal that seemed to save her money - I had talked to a young black lady from the same type service on the other side of the area, who walked over with me. The creep at the booth told her she "couldn't be there" - and she stated that she had walked over with me from her area, and didn't know my friend and I were together. The creep grabbed her arm and turned her around - totally unacceptable behavior. My friend and I went home with her info, and my offer for service - I read the reviews on First Choice Communications, and she cancelled her order, and I didn't return the salespersons call. After this, suddenly I am getting spam calls every morning, a virus on my computer, spam e-mails - I have read other complaints about this company. The two salespeople at the first booth seem to be complete criminals - one got the feeling you were being "played" the entire time - from the phony "he gave me a ring, he is my fiance" - between the two, apparently to break the ice and invoke compassion towards them - to the "contract" that really doesn't spell out the services. read more

They lie to you! They tell you that you can bundle Direct TV with CenturyLink, get you to sign a 2 year contract. They get the Direct TV hooked up immediately, but nothing from CenturyLink. After getting jerked around for a couple of weeks they finally tell you that CenturyLink is not available in your area! They knew this all along and even try to blame CenturyLInk for not telling you! The owner won't return phone calls and pushes everything off to his uniformed secretary. HORRIBLE! The Direct TV works great, but get it anywhere else. I HATE being lied to!!! read more

I don't even want to give it one star as we were scammed by this company. We were in Quarzite, AZ in January 2017 and spoke to Justin Anderson who presented himself as a Direct TV employee as we questioned him about it. Well come to find out he lied, of course. We purchased a Direct TV package and King Quest Satellite expressly for our motor home. An installer came to our campsite and installed it and it worked twice in January. Ever since then we haven't been able to receive the programs we signed up for and always get an error message on the screen when we do get a picture. After spending many hours on the phone with Direct TV, they finally agreed to send a repair technician to check out our connections at no charge. One look at our setup and he immediately stated that the only receivers that are compatible with the King Quest satellite that we were sold are obsolete. We have paid for tv service for seven months and purchased an expensive satellite that are useless to use in an RV. This is quite the SCAM they have going and I'm sure we aren't the only people that have been burnt by them. read more

This company is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. Beware of them at the Arizona state fair. I have never signed up for cable services or even gotten anything at the convention areas before. I was over my service with Cox at the time so they hit me at the right moment. I don't have a complaint about how the sign up went. All companies all sell you a line of bull but that's how cable works. My issue came when insulation happened. I noticed after the man left that my purse was missing. I called the company and was treated horribly. By Krystal in the office. She made me feel like it was my fault and that I was a lier. I have never stolen anything in my life. And work very hard for my money. One of my cards was used. Interesting only about a mile from their office. Of course with my luck their was damage to the video at the location the card was used at. To this day I still haven't replaced the stuff that was in that purse. And I hope Karma comes back to them for the way they treated me. Cause no one should have to feel like a criminal when they did nothing wrong. I was told I was making false accusations. I was ruining a mans life who has children. Well I have children too. And the first guy I talked to didn't seem very surprised. Even admitted to some of the drivers having pill problems. So this Authorized Dealer for Direct TV is full of liars! I contacted BBB. You misrepresent the of legitimate Companies. I was just appalled by the way they take money from the $40.00 application fee to switch my Uverse to Direct TV? Also charge my credit card $74.93 When out of the mouth of John W. was that our card was going to be only a charge of 99 cents and we were not going to be charged for 2 weeks? The card was charged June 18 the very next day. I was told I could get that back the $40.00 by some girl in the office. That an email would be sent to process that refund, that sounded ridiculous to me! Then she called back and said no that her Manager would not approve this. But we would get a discount off our bill. I found out the way that is done they used my name in a improper way in a referral program. Why would I refer anyone to these Liars? Cedric is a LIAR as I have read the other reviews about this Company and it seems they continue to do this over & over. What is it going to take for them not mis represent ATT. Did ATT buy Direct TV? The Installation process was also horrible, some guy named Paul with no ID badge. Thank God legitimate Installers with badges corrected all of the mistakes that First Communications from Arizona made. Just a short note to tell you about the outstanding customer service provided by Gabriel in AZ. Once I had agreed to obtain DirectTV service in Orlando FL, the installation did not go smoothly at all. I will not delineate the litany of challenges that took place over a two week period to get the installation properly completed in this note (Please see attached Word document), but at this time I do want to tell you that Gabriel was actively engaged in helping to finally resolve the issue. She made herself readily available, was proactive in seeking resolution and could not have been more attentive. In addition, while this frustrating situation played out, Gabriel kept her composure and always conducted herself in the most polite and professional of manners. You are indeed fortunate to have Gabriel as a member of your team who can represent your firm in such an outstanding manner. It is important to note that Gabriel's willingness to take ownership of the situation was key to the successful resolution of the issues. The end result is I now have the full scope of DirectTV services I wanted and am more than satisfied with the result. Please extend my sincere appreciation to Gabriel for a job well done. read more

We had the same experiences as everyone else here seems to have had. We have Direct TV already and had been considering the wireless Genie. Went to the MN State Fair and saw the booth so went over. Jerold came right up and told us he could get us 3 wireless genie's and our price would stay the same as it currently is. Just a $50 fee for install. We paid him $50 - he said they only take cash. This raised a red flag for me, but I figured we were at the state fair, at the Direct TV booth so I figured they were legit. If it had been some random person knocking on my door I wouldn't have done it. And we were given a receipt wit Direct TV on it. So I figured ok. Well they never showed up on the scheduled date. Call Direct TV and they have no idea what we are talking about. That's when I learn that the people at the State Fair are not in fact Direct TV employees, but contractors. They tell us to call the number on the bottom of the receipt. We do and talk to Larry. He has no record of our order. Tell us to email him a copy. We do. Never hear back. We call 5 days later. Get Larry again. He says he will look into it and call back in 20 minutes. No call again. Now a week later I call again and talk to Richard - in fairness to him, he is helpful, but at this point, I'm over it. He can't find out name of phone number linking anything to us. I tell him to keep looking and that we sent it to Larry. He finds it. Says it never got put in the system. Asks if we want to schedule to install. I said we just want t refund. So now, supposedly, their finance manager is supposed to call us today or tomorrow to process the refund. We will see. I have a feeling I will be calling again on Monday. read more

Ahh, I get it now......if the owner, Mike, doesn't return phone calls, why should his managers, Kristal Jacobs and Chris Chavez. I have experienced the worst possible customer service from them. I purchased an entertainment package and phone service for my soon to be 92 year old Mother at the Fourth Ave Street Fair in Tucson 12/15/13 through Chris Chavez (Manager according to his card). He also informed me that I didn't need to phone Cox to cancel her services with them as he would take care of all of that himself. He was great to begin with, answering his phone when I called and dealing with questions. That same day I decided to upgrade from the entertainment package to the Xtra package. No problem according to Chris. DirectTV was installed 01/17/14 as scheduled, but when it came time to install the phone I was asked where the computer was. I'm not sure why Chris would have ordered Vonage, which is a computerized system, since my Mother does not have a computer (he knew this). Installer left with the phone, I was to followup with Chris and I thought all was well. Wrong....when we tried to view some of the channels in the Xtra package they were grayed out and not available. I phoned Chris and he informed me that some of the channels can "take 48 hours" to download and that if they didn't show up by then to give him a call. I also told him about the phone and that we needed CenturyLink and would he give it to me for the same $10.00 quoted.....he said yes. He was to check into it and get back with me for installation. I made one more call to him because she was getting a blank screen for over an hour (I was not there to see for myself) and he said he didn't know why, but would once again get back to me. I went over to see what the problem was and discovered she had it on a channel that was not yet "downloaded", but part of the Xtra package (keep in mind her age). I phoned him back to let him know that I had discovered the problem and there was no need to look into it further. That was the last time he answered or returned any of my calls. Here is what transpired after this last call: 12/20/13 - Phoned Cox to discuss their billing and found out that Chris had NOT cancelled any services with them for my Mother......now paying for both for 3 days. I cancelled myself at this time. 12/21/13 - Voice message to Chris that her Xtra package channels were still not available (well over the 48 hours) and it looked as though she had only been setup for the original Entertainment package. What status were we on the phone service and let him know he had never cancelled with Cox. 12/27/13 - No call back from Chris, but thought perhaps it had something to do with the holidays. Left another voice message: Xtra package still not setup and still no phone service. Asked for the courtesy of a return call. 01/03/14 - Still no call back from Chris and when I phoned discovered their office was closed until the 7th. 01/07/14 - Still no call back from Chris, phoned the office number, asked for another manager or equivalent, Stephanie left message Krystal. 01/08/14 - No call from Krystal, phoned office again and she answered.....said I "was on her call back list", right!. She was very pleasant, changed the account to the Xtra package (amazing how easy it was), but she could not offer me CenturyLink for the $10.00 quoted and gave me a credit for one month at the Xtra amount. Was informed I would receive an email for credit to be processed through Chase with userid and password, which she gave me, and that the credit needed to be processed by 01/24/14 or it would cancel itself. 01/10/14 - Received mentioned email, followed directions, but received error message that userid and/or password were invalid......tried several time. Left voice mail at Krystal's direct number to that affect. 01/13/14 - No call back from Krystal, left another message. 01/24/14 - Still no call back from Krystal and an email message from Chase: "We've canceled your payment from FIRST CHOICE COMMUNICATIONS LLC because you did not accept the payment by January 24, 2014." 01/27/14 - Today and here I am.....sorry for the length, but feel it important to let everyone possible know I truly tried......DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FIRST CHOICE COMMUNICATIONS!!! read more

I Should be ZERO stars. Wish know how bad this company was before I signed up to get Direct TV through them at a booth at the WI State Fair in Aug 2018. Believe the bad reviews!!! Salesman Corey is fast talking, will promise you rebates that are too good to be true. Anything to get his commission. Outright lied, promising $300 Visa gift card when really only $100 is available. I have spent many hours over several days trying to get what was promised to me. Corey only returned my calls and still promoted his original prices while I was still within my 3 business days to cancel. No return calls after that. There were many details he failed to mention regarding my internet account which left me paying more money in the long run and lots of frustrating phone calls to Direct TV and ATT and I am now stuck in a 2 yr contract. What a huge mistake. Should have looked at their reviews on the internet before signing up with these asshats! Totally lied about buying out early termination fees from Dish TV even though it states that on the contract I signed. They installed the DIRECTV the next day as promised but that is where their customer service ends. I had to call DIRECTV a week after the install for a pixelated picture on all TV's. The official DIRECTV installer said these guys do a half assed job of installation just to get their fee and after that it's "you lose sucker". The DIRECTV installer basically had to redo everything they did to make all the TV's work properly. Now that DIRECTV is owned by AT&T I am going to lodge any and all complaints available to me with AT&T regarding the crappy install and fraudulent business practices used by this contractor. I will also look at whatever government agency regulates these clowns and file complaints. I will be at the next Home and Garden show in our area to have a face to face conversation with their office manager that made all these promises and failed to deliver. read more

This is my first yelp review. I would like to warn people about this company. Signed up for a bundle with Direct TV, AT&T internet and phone with Anthony. I was told I had 30 days to cancel. The internet speed would be sufficient to stream, work from home...I told Anthony I did not want my credit card charged. Direct TV was installed the next day. I called several times to schedule installation for internet and phone. Kept getting the run around. Later I found my credit card was charged $67.29. Next phone call, I was told that they would not be able to provide the internet and phone in my area. If I cancel there would be a $480 early termination fee. If I do not cancel, then Direct TV will cost $67.29 plus tax the first year and approximately $115 the next since I have a 24 month agreement. They were not able to fulfill their agreement and said all they could do was give me a free month of TV. That is not good enough. I would have never agreed to that. The manager and sales rep were supposed to call me today at 3:30. They never called. So I am on yelp. Planning to file complaints with Utilities Consumers Action Network, CA Public Utilities Commission, BBB, Contact the District Attorney as a start. Please be careful, I do not want this to happen to anyone else. Also will be telling all my friends. A few of them were interested in switching, not now! read more

My experience started off like many of the other reviewers, negative. My sales rep who signed me up at the fair also told me he was a Direct TV employee and provided me with a wrong number for contacting him in the event that there were any concerns. The first installer did not have a ladder that would reach my current dish. He informed me that he couldn't take down another manufacturers equipment. This was contradictory to what my sales rep had told me during the sign up process. The answer was to install their dish alongside my current dish. I informed the installer that the HOA ccr's didn't allow for two dishes to be installed at one time. I called the next day to cancel my installation. They put me in contact with David Hesterman Regional Sales Manager at First Choice Communications. Mr. Hesterman listened to my complaint and moved swiftly to resolve it. He apologized for the experience that I had, and went above and beyond to correct it. He scheduled an installer for that evening that had the proper equipment. The installer Jerome was friendly and professional. The installation took less than 3 hours for a 4 room Genie system. I now have Direct TV and couldn't be any happier with the product. I agree that the sales reps could do a better job of managing the expectations of the customers. Stop over promising and under delivering. However, we can only judge a company by their actions in resolving a problem. The management of First Choice Communications stepped up, and turned a negative experience into a positive one. read more
