I just discovered First Class Auto Center and boy am I grateful! I took my Infiniti QX80 to the dealer and they came up with so many things wrong with it I thought it wasn't worth repairing. Then a friend suggested First Class Auto and they saved my wallet and my car! Richard is as honest as you could ever wish and advised many of the recommended repairs weren't even needed, and the ones that were he was able to complete for less than half of the dealer cost. this place was recommended to me by a co-working. I was having issues with my fuel pump in my Suburban. I was on my 3rd one and was frustrated that it kept going on. Walter replaced it and explained to me exactly what I needed to do to stop them from going back since the O.E.M part was not that great. Shortly after my Toyota Corolla wouldn't start. I had it towed to Walter. He called me about an hour later and told me it was ready to pick up at no charge. Turns out, the battery cable to the starter had come loose. I know NOTHING about fixing cars. This is my go-to mechanic for as long as I live in Anaheim! They always do a great job and are very fast, and I never get pushed into repairs I don't need. My AC had stopped working on my Civic recently and they discovered that the fan motor was jammed. Other places would've made me replace it and spend about $400 total, but the owner quickly fixed my existing fan and I was out with working AC in 5 minutes! Had an okay experience at first but once you tell me, "We are a trustworthy shop" when I never questioned your integrity that gives me a red flag. Then I was told "your dip stick broke but don't worry we put a seal in." Then I go to different shop and they show me the dip stick. It was bent in several places because someone decided to push it alot further down into the engine then what it should have been. I won't be coming back here. read more

I can't tell you enough good things about this place. I've been there three times now, but this last time was the thing that prompted me to write a review (4th paragraph if you don't want to read the whole thing). The first time I went here it was really just luck of the draw. My car started losing power while I was on the freeway and my lights were coming on and I was close to home so I just had a friend googling all the places near me and I was calling. This was the only place that was open till 6 (it was about 4:55) so that I could at least drop the car off with someone and not risk it not working the next day to drive it in. I'll be the first to say, this place does not look like a place you want to go. In fact when I first got there I was really put off. It's really old and run down, the chairs all have rips in them, the soda machine is really old and always out of order, the light fixtures in the ceiling are coming down, the ceiling tiles are dirty and out of shape. It kinda looked like a place out of some horror movie where people stop at a service station in the middle of nowhere on their way to certain death... I wasn't scared to be in there and it wasn't filthy or anything, but very off putting. However, they fixed my car and damn fast. They said they could have fixed it that same night with only an hour left open, but none of their places that were still open had the part for my car so I had to wait till the next day. Very reasonably priced, very nice, and very fast. My second trip was because I needed my smog done. Still very nice and fast, I think they were done in about 20 minutes. They always look crazy busy, you drive by and see them full of cars and think it'll be ages, but no... they're damn fast. So my third, and most recent trip, is the reason for this post and the reason I think the place is so run down. I went in because whenever I got above 65 my battery light was coming on. I went in, they thought it might just be that something with my alternator was loose, fixed it and sent my on my way, said come back if it comes back on, no charge. Light came back on, took it back in. I don't know cars, so I can't explain this, but they needed a small part for the alternator harness or something. They kept calling around, people were only selling the full harness units or something like that, was going to be close to $300 just in parts. They said they'd keep calling and see if they could get one cheaper. Left my car there, got a call this afternoon (left it there late morning), car is fixed. Asked them how much it would be and they replied...no charge... NO CHARGE PEOPLE, none, zip. They found the part I needed and aren't even charging me labor. There is a reason this place is run down looking, because they don't rip off the clients to make a pretty waiting area, that's why. These people are awesome, so good at what they do and so honest. I mean seriously, have you ever heard a person talk about a mechanic and say "no charge" in the same sentence? Go to these people, even if they are far away from you, amazing. read more

So when my breaks started failing he took my car to a nearby mechanic first and gave him $800 estimate. Then he called First Class, his trusty mechanic. They told him $500 if that.
