I absolutely love the coffee here! The staff is always very friendly and the baristas look like they love their job. The parking is sufficient enough. They also have cute shirts and stickers you can buy. If you walk towards the back they have more seating options. I would recommend for study session. I would absolutely go back.

Favorite matcha in Torrance. Pretty competitive taste-wise to Yeems in Gardena. I always come here over all the other matcha spots in Torrance when I need a pick me up. I BELIEVE they serve Nevaeh matcha here, (they serve the powder that you can buy for sure) which is where I go to pick up powder that I make myself drinks with during the week. The quality is amazing and they grind the leaves directly from Japan here in LA.

I typically grab my matcha from Yamari or Chrome due to proximity, but I stopped by First Flight today and I am so stoked that I did. From the outside looking in, you would never guess how spacious this place is. From of the shop had some chairs by the entrance and a few tables right by the service counter, but there's a narrow hallway leading to more seats towards the back of the shop. Overall, it's a minimalistic shop - but by no means, a bad thing at all! The First Flight Matcha Latte's taste was so so clean and simplistic. The cold foam was so light & bouncy, which really complemented the ceremonial grade matcha they use here. I had trouble deciding between this vs. the French Toast Latte on their espresso menu. I'm glad I tried the signature matcha first and I now have a definitive reason to come back. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu!

So good! I got a Jasmine Matcha, which was one of the seasonal drinks. It was such a well balanced drink, where you can perfectly taste both flavors. The service was great, the girl who helped me was super nice and friendly! The drinks came out pretty fast too. There's a good amount of seating, some in the front, inside, and back. But there's no areas for probably more than 3-4 people! There's a small parking lot outside, which definitely fills up really quick. Overall, this place was great! Will definitely be back :)

Yummy matcha. We were told it's originally sweet so we did 25% sweetness and it was still sweet but not super sweet type of way. Just the right amount of sweetness.

French toast latte. Disappointing and very bitter

2.5 stars $7.25 for their French toast latte... and it didn't even taste like French toast! I thought this was at least going to taste like a French toast latte if not have some cinnamon toast crunch on top or something. It was very bitter and left a horrible after taste in my mouth. The cold foam was tasty but it didn't blend with the drink at all so it's kind of moot and no matter how rigorously I stirred it did not blend. The coffee and bottom really had no flavor other than bitter. Not sure if this is a fluke or this place just isn't for me. I don't think I can condone the price anyways but then for it to not taste good was a pretty big letdown.

Came here with my daughter & husband to try their matcha. Matcha is sooo good and so creamy. We ordered the first flight matcha -- basically a double matcha drink. Matcha taste is earthy, strong but still kinda sweet. We'll be coming back to try their other drinks. Parking isn't bad, lots of parking when we went and we went on a Sunday late afternoon. Store decor is cute. They have a lot of cute airport/travel displays and decor. Not too many seatings, especially for a bigger group.

Delicious cold brew with vanilla cold foam! It's called First Flight Cold Brew. The cold foam is nice and thick. Not super sweet like Starbucks, it's perfect The Honey Cinnamon Latte is nice, but the First Flight Cold Brew is the way to go. It's located in a nondescript local mini mall with free parking. It's a nice local coffee shop, has some interior seating and friendly employees.

Tonics are godly and my favorite. Matcha tonics tend to be a bit more difficult to master for most coffee shops, but First Flight is literally my go to for them! I have had their Yuzu matcha tonic and their passion fruit match tonic (seasonal - during the summer) and I am so obsessed. The tonic mix is the perfect mix of sweet and does not overpower the matcha boldness. The matcha itself is also not grainy at all. The inside has some seating and a cute full body mirror. Small parking lot available. Service is super sweet and always fast.

if you know anything about me, it's 1. I don't like sweets but contradictory 2. I need my coffee sweet french toast latte: my god. I don't even like french toast, but this made me crave it?? it's delicious, the cinnamon, the sugar, spice, and everything nice. I wanted to order another! be careful though the espresso is quite strong even with the sugar masking it. frozen matcha: I was skeptical because the cup is smaller, do not make the mistake I did. it's POTENT but in the best way. it doesn't taste like grass but it's a good first impression of matcha for newbies. lowkey wish I had this instead of the latte. jasmine matcha cloud: my mom is on a jasmine tea kick, she said the flavor was yummy + floral/sweet. will definitely be back, my sole duty as an SF but Torrance foodie!

Yuzu espresso tonic with 75% yuzu and unsweetened tonic water. Others may want more sweetness but this was perfect to me!
    Elle V.

Clean cafe with efficient, helpful staff. The Yuzu Espresso Tonic was so refreshing. I don't like sugary drinks, so the friendly crew member recommended replacing their usual sweetened tonic water with unsweetened, and reducing the yuzu to 75%. He said the yuzu flavoring is sweet too, but reducing it lessens the flavor as well as the sweetness. He mentioned they could add more yuzu later if I wanted. I appreciate the options presented clearly with the flexibility built in. And the original 75% recommendation turned out to be the perfect balance! The private shared parking lot had multiple empty spaces on a Wednesday afternoon. There is some seating but not a lot, and I was getting it to go anyway. While I stood around for my order, it looked like a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. My drink came out very quickly and I was on my way. I plan to be back!

6/30/26 Honey cinnamon latte with oat milk, solid!

Ha!!! Review # 1234 \(*0*)/ 6/30/26 What a great find! I wanted to try a new cafe in Torrance after fmr mkt shopping and Yelp led me here. Learning they use a La Marzocco gave me hope & I was not disappointed, thankfully. It's located in a small plaza next to a salon, a bank & a T-Mobile, so parking free but may be limited. There are a few indoor (comfortable) & outdoor seating with the airport theme, modern & clean (please see photos). I ordered a honey cinnamon latte with oat milk & it was crafted in a decent wait time. It was perfectly balanced, "cinnamoney" sweet but not cloyingly. Will definitely order this again if in the area. Staff are friendly & welcoming. Wonderful & positive experience here, highly recommend.

First flight matcha and coconut matcha
    Jessica H.

SUPER YUMMY! I don't know how they make their drinks so addictive, but I will be coming here very often. This is by far my favorite matcha spot I've tried in the South Bay, and has a richer, smoother matcha flavor than comparable nearby cafes if that's what you're looking for. Their jasmine matcha cloud is my favorite and I had to get another after finishing my first one. The jasmine tea is very floral and perfectly compliments the matcha foam. I also loved the first flight matcha, but the coconut matcha even more so. It's really hard to find a place that 1. has good coconut water and 2. has matcha strong enough that it doesn't get diluted by the coconut water. First Flight Coffee does both of these perfectly and will always be my go-to spot in the South Bay for coconut matcha. Only downsides are that the parking lot sucks to get out of (especially if you plan on going west or north), but it's very easy to take a small detour. There isn't too much seating inside if you plan on studying so it's more of a grab and go place. Overall, I wish I could give this place more stars!

[Ordering]: There was no long waiting line and I was able to get my order within 5 minutes after placing an order at the counter. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are Iced Matcha Lattes, Strong Uji Matcha Green Tea (sweetened), and Stone Ground Uji Matcha (contains no sugar or milk). They offer small, medium, and large sizes for their drinks. In addition, they also sell hojicha drinks as well as parfaits and soft-serve ice cream. *** Strong Uji matcha green tea (sweetened - small $4.50): The matcha flavor was strong alright. The drink did hit the spot and the sweetness level was about right. Mixed Soft Serve (half matcha and half hojicha - $6.75): Ice cream had a strong matcha flavor, but the texture didn't hit the spot. It would be nicer if the flavor was slightly less dense as this ice cream really made me want to drink more water afterward. The milk chocolate was a nice add-on, but I am not sure if it was really needed. *** I would stick with their drinks and there are better soft-serve matcha ice creams in Los Angeles (e.g. Meccha Matcha in Artesia or Tea Master Matcha Cafe & Green Tea Shop in Little Tokyo).

For me, regular shaved ice usually lacks enough syrup or the ice is too hard. I'm such a wuss, I know, but I hate feeling like I overpaid for a cup of ice. It has been brutally hot and today seemed like a great day to have some shaved ice. The cafe is located in a Korean plaza on Western and 154th. Smoking Tiger coffee is also in the same plaza. The menu has everything from fruity flavors to Asian flavors like hojicha and injeolmi to Cinnamon Toast crunch. You can get an individual size or larger size to share. The interior is minimalist with vintage-looking posters of the business. They have WiFi and complimentary water. We ordered matcha and mango flavored bingsoo. I come to this location all the time but never really pay attention to the pricing…read more The other day, I asked the girl at the counter if the small is the smallest size they have and she told me that there is a scoop that is at $2.50. I think, great since my elderly Dad is diabetic and shouldn't have a lot of ice cream, so I went with that but in a waffle cone, she said that would be $3.50. I said that's fine, I will have one in flavor A and the other one in flavor B, total came to $7.35 And I asked her to put the ice cream cone in a cup, so it would be easier for him to eat in the car as it was extremely hot that day, and I don't want it to drip all over the car. When she gave me the ice cream, it was both flavor in one cone. I told her I wanted 2 separate cone instead of all in one. And then she said it would be another $7, I was in a hurry, so didn't really put too much thoughts into it, and just charge it. So now I look at my charges, so it turns out the same serving, one is at $7.35 and the other is $7. When I get the ice cream, I asked her, so there nothing that is smaller than this. She said there is, but not in a waffle cone, it will be extra with a waffle cone. So I asked $2.50 in a regular cone and additional $3.50 for the waffle cone? She said yes!! I am still confused as to whether they have a smaller serving than small and how much it is. I check on the pricing people posted here and don't see a $2.50/$3.50 smaller size showing. It remains a mystery to me, and I really wanted to know as it will be a hot summer, both my elderly parents, who are diabetic, would probably asked for ice cream, and I really don't want them to have a small each on their own, since it is still a decent size and they don't like the same flavor, so they can't really share a small one.
