I have used both of their services in the last 6 months. First, on my way home from a long stressful day at work I stopped for gas about 8:30pm. After pumping my gas my car would not start--not even turn over. This was the last thing I needed after the day I had--i just wanted to get home and relax! I couldn't believe it would be the battery because I thought I had replaced it not that long ago. I called a friend to ask advice and he recommended I call First Street Tow so I did. The driver, Mike, came out immediately and in a few minutes diagnosed that it was a dead battery. He was knowledgeable and professional and explained everything I asked about. He towed my car to the shop because he knew he had a battery that was right for my car there. He installed it right there and I was on my way home to relax. That was a few months ago so I don't remember exactly the charge, but I remember I was surprised that it was so reasonable that late at night, and I was happy to pay it. I have used other tow services/auto repair services and never got this good of service or price. Most recently--November--I had a persistant noise when I used my brakes. It wasn't the typical squeek or squeal, it was a grinding rubbing sound. The brakes seemed to work fine so I was confused. Since I had the previous experience with Mike I called him. He made me an appointment right away, accomodating my needs around my work and commute schedule (which is not an easy thing to do). He diagnosed the problem with my brakes and estimated how long it would take to fix it. He had the parts in stock for my car and got it done even quicker so I was not late to work. That evening I heard the noise return so I called him--the brakes still worked fine so I felt safe. He told me to come in again in the morning and he would see what was going on. I did, he found the problem in another brake and replaced that part without charge. He was very easy to work with, professional, honest and, as a single woman, I never felt like I was being ripped off. Again the price was fair and you can't put any price on piece of mind! I heard about the business changing ownership too. I am confident that it can only get better as long as Mike is still an employee. I will continue to call First Street Tow and Auto for my needs whenever I'm in the area. read more

i was told my car was impounded and the fees were crazy after the very first day(monday) i had to wait till friday to afford to get my car out, the day i went to get my car i called once again and was told it was only stored , not impounded, so i didnt have to pay the xtra cash... wtf..? i could of got it out the first day , anyways i was told 540$ but after 5 it would be 90$ to unlock the gate or i could wait till the next day and it would be 45$ more.. the lady was nice enough to wait till 7 for sine i was coming from sacramento. i get there and she said "im gonna have to charge you the xtra 90" i told her i only had the exact amount she said.. she told me to not tell the guy in the garage and took the 540$... i had called and asked if my belongings were going to be ok since my window didnt roll up and she said "yea, they should be" .. ummm ok..? well i got in my car (that was towed by the dublin police dept. for tags that were only expired for less than a month)and noticed EVERYTHING had been gone through.. that i expected.. but not only gone through but EVERYTHING worth anything was gone.. my lap top, money, all change that wasnt a penny, 250$ in gift cards i received from work that very day, lottery tickets , and my wallet .... the dublin police would not let me get anything from my car and i even told them all my money etc. was in there and they ignored me,, i told them my window dont roll up.. they ignored me.. this is the worst i have ever been treated by "law officials" and it really sucks that the ppl the trust to send my car to is a bunch of damn thieves,,, all my files for work were on my laptop... everything i need.. i cant believe that this happened.. the money you charge is enough to be ashamed of let alone being down right thieves on top of it... really sucks... i hired an attorney and im sure things will be handled shortly... sucks it had to come to this.. the huge sign in the office that states "not responsible for lost or stolen items" is a bunch of bs.. its supposed to be secured .. what going to get lost..? just a way to cover your butts and your thieving hands.... read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS TOW SERVICE. THEY RUB YOU BLIND. THEY CHARGED MY DAUGHTER $680 FOR A TOW IN THE SAME CITY AND THREE DAYS OF STORAGE. This is not a tow business. This is an extortion and racketeering business. My daughter got in a car accident on Freeway in Pleasanton around 10:00 PM on Friday night. She was taken to the hospital by Medics. CHP called First Street Tow to tow her car away. They towed her car to their yard. She had to pay them $680 on Tuesday to get her car out. If you call them for a tow, the charge is $60. They say the charge goes up to $185 if CHP calls them.Claiming that is the contract price with CHP. I have a hard time believing CHP will tell a private company how much to charge for their service. They charge you storage fee of $85 for a full day, even if your car comes in at 10 PM that day. They keep their yard close on the weekends. If you want to get your car out, they want $90 to come and open the door. If your car is there by their third day, they tack on a $70 lien fee. When you ask them why, they say DMV tells to do this. What a crock. If you refuse to pay their fees, they threaten you with tacking on $85 per day, until you owe them enough money so, they can take your car, and then try to collect all the fees through collection agency and report you to credit reporting agencies. If you challenge the owner, "George" for all the false claims and non sense about CHP and DMV, he tells you, you are not in any position to negotiate with him, and hangs up on you. George the owner sold my son a car knowing that the transmission was going out. He asked for cash when my son wanted to pay with a check then he put down 2000.00 on the bill of sale. My son paid 5100.00. When I asked him to work with us fix the car or give my son back his money. He told me " no way that's not going to happen" I asked him to fix the car George the owner said no I'm in the businesses of making money and that car is your sons. He can deal with it now." When I told George I was a single parent and my son was a struggling student he said what does that have to do with anything I'm in the business to make money that what I did made money off your son. I was just told by a mechanic the the transition was going to be over 5,000 to fix and that who ever sold your son the car tried to fix it but couldn't .it needs to be replaced . George knew this and sold my son this car. I'm going to have to come up with 5,000 more dollars to fix this car. I hope people read this a know what kind of person you are read more

First Street Automotive Is Amazing!! Being that's my future career that I'm going to school for, I know there mechanic is awesome and really knows what he is doing. their prices are very fair compared to the few shops Ive had a diagnosis my car. As well as wont try to rip you off like most automotive services will especially if your a woman. It happens unfortunately. But with First Street I never have to worry about it. Very honest and trustworthy Employees. I only let 2 people touch under the hood of my car and First Streets mechanic is one of them. First street is great. Responsible, Honest, as well they do an Awesome thorough job that i never have to worry or doubt.. I looked up there reviews and noticed there under new ownership so i gave them a try and i was definetly impressed. They showed up earlier than expected and when i told them that i was going to take it to the dealer the driver informed me they have a auto repair shop and would perfrom the diagnosis for free. He called the service manger and they got my car in and fixed it the same day and back on the road. Definetly a relief and would highly recommend these guys. Update i was contacted by the owner who seemed to be a nice guy until i was contcated by him for reviewing his neighbor for work i was disasitified with i will definetly not use these guys in the future if im going to be contcated by the owner for business matter that dont pertain to him. read more

I had to cancel my oil change appointment last minute due to work and they made sure to fit me in the next day knowing I was going out of town. The staff was very nice and went above and beyond. My car is getting older and the check engine light came on. Not only did they tell me why it had come on but explain in great detail on what was going on and what would happen once it was fixed. I've been to many places where I felt they are always trying to "up sell" me on one product or another not at all. I highly recommend first street auto! read more

My first experience with them was when I bought a groupon coupon for an oil change. The experience was very good. I had the second good experience when I had some issues with my air conditioner. The staff there is very friendly, their mechanic Mike is very professional and knowledgable and their services are very reasonably priced. We had a bad experience with AAA last night. A terrible experience. That being said, First Street Towing was a breath of fresh air. The mans name was Victor who helped us load our motorcycle on the truck and he was one of the friendliest and most polite people that I have ever met. Have used this towing company several times. Always very polite and respectful when helping us out and very fair prices. I have called the larger tow companies like central tow or norms towing and was treated very rude with absolute no consideration. Not to mention there prices were sky high. One man company, takes cuts for towing cars in complexes. Not a trust worthy company. Do not do business with them.

1st street tow is the best tow in pleasanton California they are 24 hours i use them for anytime my car breaks down

We had our car towed with them for 8 miles and it was $380 ... really really . And my bmw was damaged
