This review is for Cleve at First Texas Honda. If you need a car, see him. He is genuinely interested in helping you not selling anything to you. Everyone we dealt with here was good to us. But Celev was a just a Good man- he asked questions, he let us speak, he was polite and just did the job the right, honorable and correct way. Thank you Cleve!!!!

Honda inspected my tires on 8/8, 8/20 and 8/29. The 8.29 visit using UVEye AI. This is the tire warning when the car was picked up 9/3.

My Month-Long Honda Odyssey of Dealership Incompetence As a loyal Honda customer who purchased and maintained my vehicle at this dealership, my recent experience with First Texas Honda's service department has been appalling. My rights were disregarded and I was met with a clear pattern of incompetence and negligence. What started as a routine service on August 8, 2025, quickly became a month-long saga of unacceptable service failures. Factual Incompetence: A tear was made in the seat during a detailing service. The detailing was outsourced to a third party without my consent or knowledge. Deceptive Billing: I was billed for additional services on August 12, days after I picked up my car on August 9. I paid this contested charge of aprox. $350 and even after payment in full, on the August 12 "service" the manager was still seemingly trying to use a strong-arm tactic that he also "needed" my signature. For what? My car was not at the dealership on August 12. Systemic Communication Failure: My case was passed between at least five staff members (MH, DP, V, MK, and AT with copies to the general manager SR). There was no accountability, and I was forced to make multiple, wasted trips, including a planned drop-off on August 20 where a manager sent me home without a resolution and leaving my car at the dealership without anyone available to do the work for at least 3 days. Shoddy Repair Practice and Safety Negligence: The dealership attempted a repair on the damaged seat, but the photos of the repair (which I requested) were in bad lighting and far away so I could not agree to the repair remotely. To make matters worse, my car was returned to me with a dirty mat, dirty dashboard and a low tire pressure warning (see photos), despite having gone through multiple tire inspection (2 visual inspections and 1 AI inspection with their UVeye scan) and detailing being the service that caused all this issue. I am first to acknowledge good service but I also need to call out negligent service. This dealership has become a disgrace to the Honda brand and lost a Honda customer of almost 3 decades.

Thankfully, help arrived before I had time to spiral into Googling "How to survive permanently stranded in your driveway." The roadside assistance technician showed up calm, professional, and completely unfazed by my dramatic retelling of events. Within minutes, they diagnosed the issue, got things sorted out, and brought my car back to life like some kind of automotive wizard. What could have turned into a full‑blown inconvenience (or emotional breakdown) ended up being quick and painless. No lectures, no eye‑rolling...just efficient help and a running vehicle again. The car was not tired, but the battery was a bit weak. While roadside service was free through our insurance plan, we had to pay for battery, which was reasonably priced. Thanks to roadside assistance, my car is no longer staging protests, and I can once again go about my day pretending this never happened. Highly recommend Alpha Roadside Services and Battery... especially if your car enjoys surprise rebellion.

*EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY BY STORE MANAGER ADRIAN PEREZ*…read more After having my vehicle serviced for tire, I noticed damage to my steering wheel that was not there beforehand. When I brought the issue to their attention, Mr. Perez repeatedly dismissed my claim as unfounded and insisted there was "no way" the damage could have occurred by his staff while my vehicle was in their care. As a matter of fact, he told me his mechanics laughed at the matter, that I was being ridiculous. And what I found particularly frustrating was the INCONSISTENCY in how RESPONSIBILITY was being EVALUATED. I was made aware of another situation involving a customer who had left their vehicle overnight on the property, where the vehicle was scratched by an outside individual. Despite the business knowing they did not personally cause that damage, Mr. Perez was apparently willing to assist and extend a kind understanding to that customer with covering the cost of a paint repair. YET, when it came to my situation--where the damage was discovered after my vehicle had been in their care--I was essentially told that they could not do anything unless I could first prove that they caused it. That standard feels FUNDAMENTALLY UNFAIR. I understand that a business cannot automatically accept responsibility for every allegation of damage. However, there is a significant difference between acknowledging that the circumstances make a claim REASONABLY POSSIBLE and investigating it IN GOOD FAITH, versus immediately declaring that something was impossible and PLACING THE ENTIRE BURDEN OF PROOF on the customer. I had to prove their liability beyond any doubt BEFORE my concern was even WORTHY of consideration. Arguing with Adrian Perez to no avail, I went to consult experienced mechanics at the Porsche dealership (in the process of getting a quote from them for the damage) who explained that the type of damage I'm describing can very much occur during service, and that it definitely ISN'T UNCOMMON, especially getting in and out of a low build sports car. Adrian Perez, still disbelieving, tells me "well this would be the first for having a customer claim we've damaged their steering wheel" in the process of service. Well guess what buddy, there IS a first for everything. Throughout the process, Mr. Perez repeatedly emphasized, "We DoN't aCtUaLLy kNoW tHaT we cAuSeD it," rather than making a genuine effort to determine what could have happened. I found his response incredibly DISMISSIVE, when I was simply asking the business to take responsibility for damage that APPEARED AFTER my vehicle was in their possession. I am not asking a business to blindly accept blame. I am asking for FAIRNESS, CONSISTENCY, and a REASONABLE investigation. Adrian Perez is very difficult to reason with. If they are willing to help a customer with damage that they know their business did not directly cause, it is difficult to understand why they would refuse to even CONSIDER assisting with damage that occurred while another customer's vehicle was under their care. Mr. Perez stated to me, "we're not paying $800 to get you a new steering wheel". How presumptuous that was and how discriminated I felt after he said that. And mind you, I never once asked them to pay for a new steering wheel. I sincerely came to them telling them my steering wheel had been damaged in the process of servicing my tire and to see what could be done. All I was truly asking for was to repair the abrasion portion of my wheel that was caused by them--to return it to the condition of my car before it was in their possession, because that's only fair. I would not recommend this business on S Lamar to anyone who expects their concerns to be taken seriously when something goes wrong, especially for a vehicle you really care about, and especially when ADRIAN PEREZ is their store manager. Talk about a 10 year old vehicle too, there would be even less respect for damages they might cause to it which is not right or respectful at all. ADRIAN PEREZ continuously implied that my Porsche isn't luxury or new enough to give a damn. I found he is a spiteful man, especially to young women with cars. Truthfully if they are unable to take accountability and resolve this matter, I will be taking this claim to small claims court--because I KNOW my car, I drive it everyday, and would have known about the damage to my wheel if it were there beforehand getting service from them, especially the texture of a long abrasion on my steering wheel. It was a very new texture I felt as I drove home upon pickup of my vehicle. And their DM won't even talk to me or consider reparations unless I bring my car to THEIR partnered auto body shop FIRST and hear what THEY have to say of the abrasion. Why would I even trust using your auto body shop to fix the abrasion on my wheel. You are taking from my time and money just to hear me out, over the course of SEVERAL days.

However, my experience completely changed afterward. Today, I needed to replace my brake pads and attempted to remove the wheels myself. I was unable to loosen the lug nuts because they had been tightened extremely hard during my previous visit. While trying to remove them, I broke one of the wheel studs due to the excessive force required. I stopped immediately and went back to Orange Tire to address the issue. I explained that I had been there a month ago and that their team had overtightened the lug nuts to the point where I couldn't remove them. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff initially tried to blame rust. I can understand one stuck lug nut -- but not three out of five on a single wheel. That's not normal and clearly indicates improper torque. The manager spent about 15-20 minutes on the phone (possibly with the owner), and eventually told me that I would need to purchase new parts myself, bring them in, and they would replace them for free. I offered a simple and reasonable solution -- just reimburse the cost so I could handle the repair myself and not waste additional time. However, the owner responded in a dismissive and unfriendly manner, refusing any refund and insisting I follow their process. This situation shows a lack of accountability and poor customer service. What started as a great experience turned into a very disappointing one. Be careful -- over-tightened lug nuts can cause serious damage and additional expenses.

They operate 24/7, and unbelievably, they did not charge extra for an after-hours emergency call, nor was there any type of travel fee. This alone speaks volumes about their integrity and customer care. I had a blowout in my kid's Tesla on a Friday night around 9:30 PM, and within 45 minutes of calling, they were already on-site changing the damaged tire. I assumed they would put a slightly used tire on, however it was a brand new tire. The total cost for their services was less than what I would have paid at a tire shop just to purchase one tire, which is incredible given the convenience and speed. The only reason I went back to discount tire today to use the road hazard warranty that I had purched when replacing these tires last month was purely for my OCD ways and wanting my set of 4 tires to match. The two technicians who arrived were extremely polite, professional, and understanding, knowing how eager we were to get safely back on the road. The payment process was also seamless -- they accepted Zelle, making it one of the easiest parts of an already smooth experience. Huge thanks to David and his coworker for their outstanding service and for getting us back on the road so quickly. I will absolutely recommend this company to anyone who needs tire service. Exceptional experience from start to finish!!!
