We haven't been to First Watch in a while since our previous visit was just fair. We had a much better experience this time as we discovered items we thoroughly enjoyed. First Watch continues to update their menu regularly with seasonal items. For example, they are currently featuring strawberry tres leches French toast, which looks scrumptious. We opted for entrees from the regular menu. I had the breakfast tacos, which included eggs, chicken, chorizo, avocado, pico de gallo, cheese and a side of spicy black beans. It was an interesting taste combo and surprisingly delicious! The taco shells were soft rather than crunch, so they were more like wraps, which helped keep the contents inside and made them easier to eat. My husband had the chickichanga, which was actually similar to the tacos in terms of the contents, but came in a flour tortilla wrap with a cheese sauce on top. It was accompanied by a small fruit cup and home fries. The seasoning on the potatoes was unusual and a bit unpleasant. Next time, he'll request a different side dish. The portion sizes of both of our dishes were large and quite filling. Our server was very nice and stopped by a few times to ensure we had everything we needed. read more

This is not the 1st time that I have been here, in fact we frequent here quite regularly. Each time the service is grea and the atmosphere is good. This time the food was off. I ordered the salmon benedict and it was sub par. The bread ( not sure if it was a bisquit or muffin) was tough and cold. The egg was solid through out and cold as well. My boys got the pumpkin pancake and theirs was very good and they ate the whole thing. This will not be my last visit and I know we all have off days and I hope that was just the case for today. read more

Overly expensive, mediocre food, meh service. Came here after heading to bethesda west and was really looking forward to trying this place out. The good: this place is a new fancy breakfast chain that seems to be geared toward the yuppie and older rich crowd. Nicely decorated and brand new. * Eggs Benedict was superb.* The bad: got seated asked the server about the teas and asked if the pomegranate tea was sugar free to the kid staring at me like I had two heads? I asked can you check please to him saying I am not sure and what appeared to be him ignoring the question - so I asked again this time with a tone that said You Are Gonna Check. To which he responded and confirmed no added sugar and i thanked him. He took our order and ran off. Waffle was meh and they didn't bring out any syrup only this weird grape jelly to the server running off to chat up a coworker and took a bit to get his attention. The ugly: Ordered the million dollar bacon and it wasn't really all that great, the bacon isn't smoked and was tasteless it had some sugar and maple syrup which fell flat. Asked for the potatoes to be a little crispy to being served some of what was to be crispy home potato to burnt rock hard little chunks that could break your teeth - not cool... The price for eggs Benedict and a waffle with the bacon was $54.00 which in all honesty is way over priced and should have been at most $35.00? I am not sure what these restaurants are thinking by charging these prices? It seems they are going for get one over on their customers by gouging them for as much as possible - am I missing something? In any event this is definitely short term corp thinking !! Suits are ruining this company!!! My wife was chatted up by a super sweet widower who was all by herself and a little lonely from what I could tell, and she got us silverware and then napkins which made everything a little better. Management: you need to listen up and listen good, your prices are a min 30% to high!!! You need to train your servers to be more attentive and kiki's does it better and cheaper. The first time we went it was ok. So-so service and ok food. After that, we ordered delivery. What a mess! Their "Maple BACON Croissant Sandwich " was completely missing the BACON. Their pork sausages were burnt to a crisp. First impression upon walking in, kinda reminded me of cafes when I was younger. Though much more modern the nostalgic atmosphere was there for me. Not crowded at all. Was greeted upon entering and quickly sat at a booth. The waitstaff was prompt and friendly. I had heard of the million dollar bacon so I order that and the Floridian French Toast, scup of coffee and a refreshing beverage called the morning meditation. As I mentioned in my previous review a few years ago, I wasn't overwhelmed by this place. We recently stopped by for breakfast and I remain somewhat unimpressed. The ambiance and service are good but the food is a mixed bag. I had the "works" omelet with toast and potatoes. The omelet included the promised ingredients - bacon, sausage, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and cheese. (I requested extra sausage instead of ham) - but other than the mushrooms, the quantities were pretty limited. Certainly not as filled as the picture on the First Watch menu. It tasted pretty good though. The whole grain toast was fine although it had more butter on it than I would have liked. Maybe let the customers decide how much butter to put on their toast? The seasoned potatoes were terrible. The edges were over-done (almost burnt) while the remainder of the potato piece was well undercooked, (almost raw). And the potatoes contained way too much pepper. My wife ordered the tri-fecta breakfast with omelet style eggs, a blueberry pancake, and the potatoes. Similarly, her meal was a mix of good and bad. The pancake was delicious and included a nice blueberry compote. The eggs were okay. And the potatoes were just as terrible as mine. The server was attentive and polite. As with our previous visit, it'll probably be a long while before we return. read more

Went to First Watch for the first time for lunch today. It was light and delicious. I ordered their Skillet Hash Farmhouse plate and an iced caramel honey coffee. The coffee was not too sweet and was tasty! The skillet had so much flavor and was the perfect portion to not feel extremely stuffed after. Ambiance: it is nice and cozy inside and lots of seating as well as outdoor. This restaurant is placed at a shopping plaza so parking will not be difficult. read more

We went in late November on a Tuesday around 12pm. The place was largely empty. I ordered the Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl. It was delicious and I give some bonus points for creativity on this. I think it's just a bit too expensive for the size, though. I would have liked a bit more food. We also ordered blueberry pancakes. He had one and gave me the other. This was not healthy but _really_ good. Does one plate-sized pancake need to be $6.99, though? Two for $9.99, I believe, makes the second pancake seem like a bargain with both a fair value. The server was kind and responsive. I'm shaving one star partly due to the value proposition mentioned above. The other half star just because I expected just a bit more. I don't see this as [what a] Denny's [used to be since I haven't been in over five years] although it is a pay-at-the-front-on-your-way-out type of place. Maybe that's all it is, though, and if so then it might deserve 5 stars. Actually, I'm giving 5 stars for this review because on account of my birthday, they gave me a free cinnamon roll. I took it to go and warmed it in the microwave for about 20 seconds later that night. It wasn't very good. I don't know if it was lack of freshness or the microwave effect (even from just 20 seconds, though?) but... not impressed at all. Came in the other for breakfast as it was a cool day I opted to sit outside. I was seated in the open area in the back. Little did I know after I ordered sitting quietly across from one of the gigantic fans my breakfast of frittata came in to be devoured when this huge sound started like I was in an airport and the engine began to blow at me. I looked up and realized I was in the midst of a tornado. I tried very hard to relax and eat quietly and slowly but the coffee quickly changed into something else and the frittata was ice cold. Very good!! I've taken out and eaten in a few times at a few locations - it's always a win in my book! I love the farmhouse Hash / breakfast sandwich and French toast! This was our first time here and truly enjoyed our Sunday breakfast. We came about 8 am before the rush. Natalie was our server; she was delightful especially first thing in the morning. We first had a pot of coffee and had the Floridian French Toast which was topped with an array of Fresh fruit. I had the lemon pancakes which had homemade lemon ricotta in the batter and a lemon curd sauce on top of two very fluffy pancakes. It was absolutely delicious and very filling. Very lovely visit. I noticed several hours before that I could check in online. At that moment the wait was 15.... Early in the morning. So I thought .... I need to take advantage of this. I checked exactly 45 min before when I wanted to dine at 1pm. The wait was 45 min. Bam! Checked in! My drive there is 20 min. Arrived. No wait. Sat outside like I wanted. Service was a little slow.... But they likely just finished a busy shift. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our food. And I requested the Apple lemon kale drink. Perfect for a hot summer day! They brought the check and we weren't sure what to do. Apparently you pay on the way out. This location is in a large shopping center.... Where I would say... accessible parking for someone who needs to get a ramp and power chair out... is at a premium. This was our third visit to First Watch in the past few weeks. Each time, we ordered Avocado Toast and Shrimp&Grits. The first two times, brunch was excellent. This time, not so much. The toast on the Avocado Toast was charred black. The excellent flavor of the Artisan bread was lost to the burned toast. Fortunately Ken, our 5-star server, immediately replaced the toast with a correctly finished piece. No damage, we easily transferred the 5-star avocado mash to the new toast. We weren't as satisfied with the Shrimp & Grits. This is my favorited brunch dish so I order it often. A 5-star blackened shrimp and grits moderately spicy blackened shrimp served with very hot fresh testing grits that are cooked with cheese or vegetables than either served still steamy hot or placed under a broiler (my favorite) to slightly brown the grits. The first two times, First Watch exceeded my expectations serving what I thought was the best even platter. This time it was cold, the grits were lumpy and watery, and the entire dish was close to flavorless. Ken responded well and took the dish back. He returned it in a heated plate but the dish remained cold - a bit above room temperature but still quite unsactory. This negative review is because the managed came after the second attempt and argued with us explaining this is the way it is always done. We were polite and quiet, but even after the third attempt the dish was unsatisfactory. The manager argued with us again on the way out. We were willing to give the kitchen another chance. The manager made it clear the food would not improve. read more

I have been there many times. This one has always been the best-run restaurant with the best food. My last experience was the worst. The food as always was excellent. We dined outside where it was quieter. I never imagined we would be forgotten out there. My food was perfect. The problem was the service. We couldn't get the servers to bring the syrup for my pancakes; didn't get milk for my coffee. Three different people were waiting on us and between them, they couldn't remember to bring anything to our table. We asked all three for the same items and we received nothing. The atmosphere at First Watch is lovely. I had a very nice lunch there with girlfriends and I had a fun breakfast there with some cousins. Both times service was very good! The quality of the food was fine and the prices are very reasonable. Personally I found the menu limiting and they didn't seem willing to have substitutions. For example - they have an iced coffee on the menu but it's a specialty drink and they won't give you a regular, plain, iced coffee - - really? Why not? It couldn't be easier to make. They won't make an egg white omelet - etc. Overall I had a nice time and if friends want to go there, I'd probably go with them but I doubt I'll ever choose to go there. Just not for me. read more

I got the trifecta and choose a banana granola pancake. Large and nice flavor and crunch with granola. Bacon done well as we're the scrambled eggs. The pancake was the highlight of my plate. My wife got the lemon ricotta pancakes and enjoyed every lemony creamy bite. Was very filling. And able to eat only one of the two pancakes. She got a side of whole grain toast thick cut. Yay a new First Watch opened up right near my home. I love a good breakfast and love the concept of First Watch over the years that they have some good healthy options. My husband and I went at around 7AM and we were the first customers of the day, which was very nice. The tables are spaced out plus employees are following CDC guidelines etc related to covid. We ordered tri-fecta and market hash dishes. Both were good and we enjoyed them. Was able to modify the tri-frecta with the home fries instead of sausage or bacon side. The tri-fecta as the name has three things : eggs cooked any style, pancake or waffle and a side of protein or you can change that . We have been fans since we were part of the soft opening, July 2020. The staff at this location is always nice, and they recognize us upon entry, We love that First Watch always changes up the menu seasonally, makes it fun to try new dishes and drinks. I also like that they added outdoor benches when the wait gets a little long. Speaking of, I'd recommend utilizing the Wait List feature from their website since they tend to be hectic on Sundays. read more

We dine in and get takeout here a lot. Food is always fresh and cooked to order. Servers are friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. Never have to wait too long for pickup. Tables can be hard to find around weekend brunch, but that is completely normal. Call ahead, people!!! read more

The First Watch of Boynton Beach is another restaurant that opened during the pandemic. Being a breakfast spot this was one of our first dine in spots during the pandemic. We went early when they opened at 7am but soon enough customers trickled in and the restaurant was full of people. The tables are setup with social distancing and all employees are wearing masks for your protection. The food is amazing as usual and they have plenty of options on the menu that you can choose from.
