First, the good stuff: the menu is HUGE, there are plenty of choices, and the food was good. But here's the thing I noticed... A LOT of the dishes come with three eggs. Now, I know a standard omelet is typically three eggs, but we're talking skillets, too! And while I will always subscribe to the philosophy that too much food is better than not enough, some of these dishes are ENORMOUS for your average Joe or Jane. So, if you're hungry and hankering for a big ol' lumberjack-style breakfast, Yolk might just be your sweet spot. Or if you've got a hungry crew and everyone is willing to share, even better! For me? We came here for lunch and wound up with breakfast for lunch! There is ample parking in the lot out front. There's outside seating on the patio, but we chose to sit inside. We were warmly greeted on entering. And had excellent service throughout. While waiting for our meal, we were checked up on. I mentioned that the music was blaring and it was hard to have a conversation and they immediately made it softer. Thank you! They had some lite entree specials and a number of appealing sandwiches, but I kept going back to those egg dishes. I ordered eggs Benedict -- two poached eggs over Canadian bacon on English muffins. And over the top, Hollandaise sauce. I chose hash browns as my side (instead of grits). I asked for everything to be well done including the eggs harder. The meal came out piping hot and everything was perfectly cooked. I loved it! And I'd order this meal again. My husband had a meal with two eggs, two sausage links, two pieces of bacon, and half a waffle. He, also, really liked his meal. We both felt prices were reasonable. I even took half of my food home. I had the pancakes and there pretty good, the perfect diner style! The grits here are PHENOMENAL! Most places grits are bland but these felt like home made at your momma's house. Parking was easy. My only downside was the cleanliness of our table. We had to wipe it down ourselves because our sever was allergic to the ingredients in the Clorox wipes they use. Not a big deal but would be good to get products everyone can use that way she is able to wipe the table in between guests. Overall 6/10 experience. read more

Yolk is a great spot for a quick breakfast. It's a typical breakfast diner that gets you seated and served pretty quickly! The hostess and waitress were extremely friendly and made sure to provide crayons and a coloring book for my little one! It's clearly a popular spot for breakfast because I saw tons of happy families scarfing down breakfast favorites. I did enjoy the restaurant overall, but I will say their prices were a little high and portions were a little small. I ordered biscuits and gravy and was a little disappointed. The biscuits were very tiny and the portion of potatoes on the side was pretty small too. For $16, I expected the typical giant breakfast platter ! This is a great spot if you're looking for a fast, easy breakfast or if you would like to eat outdoors. read more

We've enjoyed dining at other Yolk locations so we expected this one to be just as good. It didn't entirely meet our expectations. The restaurant is bright & airy. At first glance, it seemed clean, but our table had several grease spots. We initially thought it was just water until we touched it. Yech. The menu features a nice variety of egg dishes, pancakes, french toast, sandwiches, salads and burgers. We were ready for a hearty breakfast. My wife ordered the blueberry lemon pancakes, which were very good although she would have liked a few more blueberries baked into the pancakes. The combo flavor of lemon and blueberry was delicious. I requested the pancake of the month, which actually was a blintz (crepe) with cottage cheese & Bailey's Irish Cream. Sounded delightful. Too bad I couldn't have it. Despite the sign at the entrance announcing this item, the server explained that they were out of the blintzes because it was nearly the end of the month. Note to Yolk: Remove the sign when you run out of a featured item. I had a coupon for a free pancake of the month (with a purchased of another item) and initially the server said I'd have to wait until next month to use it. I asked to speak to the manager. The server returned and said that I could order another menu item using the coupon. I'm glad the manager honored the deal, especially since it was to their advantage because the other similar offerings on the menu were less expensive than the pancake of the month. Still, the server should have been able to handle this situation without my requesting to see the manager. She was generally attentive and polite throughout our meal. I ordered the very berry french toast. It consisted of a large portion of french toast topped with strawberries, blueberries and blackberries along with greek yogurt and granola. The menu stated it was made with challah bread, so I expected it to be thick and egg-y. Instead it was thin sliced bread, which appeared to be more like a wheat bread. While the overall flavor mix was interesting and tasty, I was disappointed in the bread. My order also took an unexpectedly long time to arrive. The server brought out my wife's pancakes ahead of my meal, stating that the food had been ready for awhile. Indeed, the pancakes were starting to get cold by the time they were served. The slowness of this service was surprising in light of the small number of diners at the restaurant. We arrived at about 8 am on a Sunday morning and were warmly greeted by an employee who opened the door for us. Sadly, the place was virtually empty. It wasn't even half full when we left nearly an hour later. Does not bode well for the long-term success of Yolk at this location. read more

This is my first time at Yolk. Our server, Najae, was very friendly and attentive. She let us know the popular items on the menu. I tried the lemon blueberry pancakes and the banana nut French toast with a side of crispy bacon. The pancakes were very lemony and the blueberries tasted fresh. The banana nut french toast was my favorite. My husband had the build your own five egg omelette with a side of cheesy grits. It was a little over cooked and dryer than he'd like, but he said it was very good. My cappuccino was delicious. Their shirts are also very funny. We will go back. read more

After seeing their "opening soon" sign for years, the place finally did open, and I recently got the chance to have breakfast there. I had the "El Torero" three-egg "scrambler." Food: 3 stars. I would say, "ordinary." Not unpleasant, but missing any significant flavor that would make me say, "That's really good." Service: 3 stars. The server was pleasant enough when she came to my table, but she didn't come often enough (in a mostly empty room). I had to attract her attention (which once took a couple of minutes) whenever I wanted a coffee refill. Ambiance: 3 stars. The place is bright and cheerful, but not well maintained. The syrup container on my table left a large deposit of syrup, which I noticed when I moved it to make more room. It would not have been fun if I had set my phone or tablet down in that space. Value: Prices are about 50% *more* than nearby diners that do a better job on all three of the above. For example, a regular cup of coffee was $4.75 !!! I know the cost of living is way up, but having to spend close to $30 (including tax and tip) for an ordinary breakfast still strikes me as way too much in 2025. Bottom line: The place isn't offensive, but I don't expect to return here any time soon. read more

We sat outside which was nice plus it was a pretty day and not noisy. Everything was good including the service. This was my first time here. I was actually heading somewhere else when I saw the sign and decided to take a chance on a restaurant with no reviews. I had the Very Berry French Toast, and ate on the patio. The food was good, and my server, Ramona, was excellent. I kept the server very busy getting me coffee because I drink a lot of coffee, and the coffee cups are the size of thimbles. I had been waiting for Yolk to open up at this location ever since I saw the sign out front. Upon walking in, I loved the look of the restaurant and the open kitchen design. They even had a little outside bar area when you can order drinks from. When we were seated, I couldn't figure out what to order. Everything sounded so good. I decided with the countryside skillet because it had everything I like in it. The skillet itself was super tasty with some hot sauce, and the pancakes weren't overly sweet like other establishments. I've been to yolk 3 times now. The first 2 experiences were pretty good. The food and service were both right on. Unfortunately when I was there last week for lunch, the service was not good, the food took a long time to arrive at our table, the coffee arrived after the food (even longer time) and the fruit, for which I paid an up charge, contained moldy grapes with bits of eggshells. I showed the waitress the moldy grapes and she didn't even offer to bring me other fruit and charged me for it on the bill. I am hoping that this experience will not become a norm at this restaurant! read more

After going to the Boca location for over 3 years I was very excited to see one coming to Boynton! Overall food was very good. The one down side was all the coffee types they had in Boca they do not have in Boynton yet. Maybe it's because they're new idk. Service was amazing! Staff were friendly and attentive throughout the whole time. Ambiance was interesting. You can choose to sit inside or outside. We sat inside and it was very different than previous locations.
