We really enjoyed our breakfast Here. Our waiter was really fun and he knew the menu well. We had carrot cake pancakes, The spinach Eggs Benedict, chocolate chip pancakes And biscuits with gravy. Everything in our table was delicious. He caught that 1 of the items was made wrong and fixed it before it came out to us. He refilled our drinks promptly and made us feel welcome. Two main things that made me write my first review after breakfast with my girlfriend. Being treated like an idiot at checkout and the place smelling like a bathroom. When I went to go pay, I was treated nice by a women and she takes my bill and runs off with it. Then the man next to her finishes with his customer and asks me if I want my receipt. I thought he said if I had it and I told him I just gave it to the lady. He then starts to explain what a receipt is, calling it "an itemized list of things you bought". I told him "oh my bad" and he continued to explain it making me feel like an idiot. I told him "I know" and he keeps explaining like I bothered him so much. But it wasn't true. 30 minutes later, we're finally sat. 15 minutes went by and nobody had even acknowledged us yet. Manager(?) is running around, seemingly chewing out staff members. We eventually get our water and get to place our order. 20 minutes for a sandwich and an omelette.. Our server only spoke to us twice the entire meal, and I had to flag down another member of the staff for the check after waiting around for several minutes. Absolutely laughable service. Came on a Sunday with a considerable group of people waiting, actual wait was maybe 20 minutes. They have fantastic coffee, and they have it available if you're waiting. Tables are clean, wait staff here were nice and prompt. I got the tri athlete with bacon, eggs and a blueberry pancake. The bacon was a little small but it was nice and crispy. Eggs here are always on point. Pancake was nice and fluffy, came with some strawberry preserves to put on top. Good if you want a traditional breakfast. My girlfriend got the skillet parm which has Italian sausage, mushrooms, potato, and over easy eggs up top. We usually get one of their skillets like this with the eggs because you can break the egg yolk over the bowl and it's fantastic. Also comes with some fruit and their awesome thick toast. Make sure you sign up for their emails because they send you birthday coupons and BOGO deals. This place is good but it's not super cheap. My only complaint this time was that half of my girlfriend's toast was burned on the outside. I really dislike when kitchen staff sees something like that and instead of fixing it right away, throw it on the plate to see if the customer complains. Over priced mediocre food, it's not terrible but they are trying to be something that they are not. They will do well because of their location which makes this place a total tourist trap. Service was as expected. It's a breakfast lunch spot ambience is non existent. It appears to be very well run and clean. The menu is full of fluff and over indulgence if I want bacon and eggs and toast I don't want to have to read where the eggs come from or how fluffy they are going to be or have a three sentence description of bacon and toast. I guess a lot of people like that BS. I don't. I'm not knocking the food it's ok but very very overpriced for what you get. read more

This visit has put the nail in the coffin for me with respect to First Watch. We came as a large group to this location. The service was good and the menu selection was varied. I ordered the Billion-dollar bacon and a Club sandwich. The bacon was burnt black on the Club (which isn't a club at all), and the Billion-dollar bacon was cold and stale. I have had bad experiences no matter which location I visit. Bottom Line: Honestly, it's a trendy place to go for brunch. The food is mediocre and their prices a bit steep for the quality. I am a frequent customer of this place and this is not the first time it's happened. I am tired of complaining. I am tired of letting them know to get things right. It's not my job to do that. Today's avocado toast was disgusting; the avocado was brown. I know it browns easily but I think this smashed avocado was sitting out for a while. Then the million dollar bacon was so burned and chewy. I ate it because I was hungry but really it's not worth the money if it's going to be like that. My husband and I have been coming to this First Watch location for almost three years but will never be back. We used to come here all the time and bring visitors when they come to town. The service and food has been declining lately but we kept going back hoping it would get back to what it was. But after our last visit we will never go back! We walked in at 1:45 (they close at 2:30 and there were 8 tables still eating). The host acted annoyed and said hi but never looked up. Once seated we could immediately tell the staff was annoyed we were coming when they were trying to clean up and close. Our waitress came and took our drink order and then asked if we'd like water for the table and we said yes but she never brought water. Now for the food- I feel like I completely wasted my money. I ordered over medium eggs and the yolks were fully cooked and hard. I took one bite and couldn't eat anymore. Our waitress only came back to deliver toast (5 mins late) which she didn't bring out with our orders. Also their homemade jelly is advertised on the menu however we were only brought packets of Smuckers jelly for our toast and nothing was mentioned as to why. She never asked how our food was or if we needed anything else. Neither of us received a drink refill. Overall this was a terrible experience at a place we have loved for years but because of the lack of quality of the food and the lack of service and rude attitudes we will not be back. We will take our business to Another Broken Egg right down the road. We have always had great service and food there! read more

MY NEW FAVORITE!!! Walked in to a warm, friendly welcome. The only open table seated eight people & rather than making us wait they sat the two of us IMMEDIATELY; I was pleasantly surprised! Now that's service and I was thoroughly impressed! And there's more for me to rave about: 1. My server was prompt & attentive. 2. They have fresh juice....the "Kale Tonic" was perfect. 3. My server suggested the multigrain banana pancake and I'm glad she did. This pancake was so delicious I didn't need to add syrup (it was huge & I ate the entire pancake). 4. Everything on the menu is great, but today I ordered the truffle mushroom frittata. My dad and I both got the same thing and went in for breakfast at 8 am on a Saturday. We were sat immediately and not long after we ordered did our food come. I would recommend coming in early for breakfast because this place gets packed quickly. First Watch is a restaurant chain I trust when in different cities because of the consistency in quality between different chains. Including the location in my hometown. This recent visit to the Lakewood Ranch, FL location however has challenged my trust in First Watch. There was a short wait considering it was a late Sunday morning. However, we were seated without Seasonal Menus. As we waited for our first interaction with our waitress Jada we watched about five other parties get seated around us. All were seated with the standard menu as well as the Seasonal Menu which was frustrating to watch. After we ordered, the food came out quickly. However, there were mistakes. A person in our party received a different type of tacos from what she ordered. When they brought out the new tacos the plate they were on was stained with a red/purple sauce. This grossed out this individual because the dish was obviously not washed properly between it being with whoever last ate from it and her receiving it. When we brought the very visible stains on the plate to our waitress Jada's attention she stated that 'it must be from a berry sauce.' To my disappointment, her explanation stopped right there. She made no effort to apologize for an unclean plate or make up for berry sauce's presence on a taco dish's plate. In 'Pandemic 2021' at that. After she dropped off our receipt Jada made little to no effort to check back in with us. We tried to give her some eye contact and small waves to get her attention.
