Cary First Watch is always a great experience. Our Sunday brunch fav. Good food, courteous staff, clean and inviting environment.

First off service was great. Greeter was friendly and sat me at a remote booth so I could also work. Server was attentive. Restaurant and bathrooms clean. The food was where they probably lost me for future breakfast visits. I'd give the lunch menu a try but honestly I didn't love the sandwich no matter how good it looked. The bun had a chill to it like it hadn't been warmed enough on the grill. The sandwich, despite the flavors you are told are going on wasn't there for me. Eggs felt like not real eggs. Bacon was overcooked. Chicken sausage patty was good but nothing came out hot. Not even the potatoes. Prices were not bad. Coffee was good. Only 3 stars because the main reason I was there was to eat and it did not deliver. There is plenty of parking and easy pay right at the table by scanning the receipt. read more

Much better experience than last time! I decided to order the farm stand breakfast tacos again however this time I swapped out the side of beans for potatoes and it was absolutely delicious! The tacos are very filling and the avocado is always a nice touch. My table decided to order the donut holes as an appetizer and although they got there after our food, they made a great dessert. The wait time was around 40 minutes on a Sunday but it was definitely worth it! read more

I ordered the Barbacoa breakfast tacos, I've had these before and they are delicious but this time you couldn't pick up the tacos because the tortillas were soggy and all the food was piled in the center of the tortilla so you had to spread it out yourself it was so bad. Really impressed with the service at this location. The waiter did a good job checking on us without being too intrusive. When we went to the register to pay the cashier asked if we liked everything. My friend wasn't satisfied since his egg yolks were runny even though he specifically requested for them to be more on the cooked side and he found the potatoes to be too salty. He ended up getting his meal for free since he wasn't happy with the meal. He was shocked by the generous gesture and felt appreciated. As for myself I was happy with the chicken pesto quinoa bowl. It was exactly what I was looking for after a week of heavy southern cooking. The quinoa did a good job of absorbing the pesto flavor. Chicken was flavorful and tender. I could have used a little bit more kale, but was satisfied overall. For my drink I had my usual morning meditation which tasted as good as it looked. It's perfect for those who like beet juice as I found it to be the dominant flavor with orange not too far behind. The turmeric, ginger and lemon are less intense, but gives the drink some complexity. Ambiance was country chic and just like all of the other First Watch locations. I'll probably come back here but will stick with the lunch vs breakfast. read more

Worst. Experience. Ever. Came here for brunch early afternoon today. The host seated us outside as requested. After 15 or 20 minutes, I went inside to ask if we needed to order inside or if we had a server as no one had come out yet. He sent someone out who took our drink order and forgot. She returned with some of the beverages but forgot a juice. We ordered, and after quite a lengthy time, only two of the three items came out. She said they were still working on the final meal and it would be right out. After a good 15 minutes the other two people had nearly finished their meal and mine hadn't arrived yet, I went in to inquire about it at the host stand. My meal eventually showed up, completely cold. The waitress said she wasn't sure what had happened, that maybe the kitchen forgot about it. At this point, I was frustrated and asked to speak to the manager. He came out and apologized, offering to comp that one meal. He asked if we needed anything else and we requested he bring the juice we ordered but never received. He told us he'd be right out with it. He didn't return and the juice never showed up. The women's restroom had four of four empty toilet paper rolls with no spares to be found. I generally love First Watch but the the service here was horrible and the management needs some work. We got off the highway in Myrtle BeSch really hungry and needing coffee to be met outside in front by hostess to be turned away as they we're hosting a special event for friends and family of the owners Whick seems snooty and prideful. We will never go there again. We drove right down the road toThe Waffle House and they were do friendly and welcomed us with opened arms, great food, super good coffee, great waitress! I left a bit underwhelmed. First, very slow service. I needed milk for my coffee - it was cold before the milk came. The latte was one of their specials. It was too sweet for us. My omelette wasn't terrible; it's just that they didn't dice up the game and cheese. It was literally super fluffy eggs wrapped around a huge chunk of ham and a huge block of cheese. It wasn't terrible by any means, but it also wasn't special. No one finished their plate. read more

I would give it "no stars" if I could. Made reservations online for 11 people, got confirmation. Come in to restaurant only to be greeted with a "jesus christ" from the hostess. What kind of customer service do you have that you allow your hostess to greet customers in a way to make them feel bad because they have a large group. I guess you all dont like to work. Yummmm! This breakfast joint was right outside our hotel so we decided to give it a try. It was moderately busy, but our party of two were sat immediately. Our server was very kind. The restaurant itself is clean, nicely decorated and smells great as you can taste french toast in the air! The food even came out faster than we thought it would! Speaking of which we got the banana foster French toast and it tasted great! My favorite being the avocado toast though! Very lite and refreshing! Amazing and quick breakfast option in Cary, NC. We went for breakfast while in town and first watch has something for everyone. If you like pancake, omelets or anything in between, they have something for you. There is ample seating (mostly booths or half and half set ups) with great lighting and a chill atmosphere. We had Joe as our server, who was so very nice and attentive. The price was nice and we were able to get some brunch cocktails to go with our meal as well. In all, if you are in the area stop in, but note they close at 2pm daily. read more

We got shrimp and grits, the classic Benedict, and a kids egg and sausage. All of our food came out quickly, but it was lukewarm. I asked for an over medium egg to go over the grits and it was hard. The point was to let the yolk mix into the grits. The grits themselves weren't creamy at all. Rather dry and crumbly. No one came to ask how it was until we checked out. No thank you!! I have visited First Watch in 3 other locations and this one is hands down my favorite because of the service and kitchen efficiency. I visited with a group of 4 on a busy Saturday. It took us about 20 minutes to get seated and we were in and out in a little over an hour, including the wait time! Tsu and Mitch were amazing from beginning to end! I had the farmhouse skillet hash with chicken instead of bacon with a side of grits and it was DELICIOUS. One of my friends ordered a pancake on the side and I wished I had enough of an appetite for it because it looked good as hell he swears by their pancakes. One of my other friend ordered a protein something or another with a quinoa base. It looked delicious, but he was the only one still hungry at the end A couple of us ordered mimosas as well and they being a cute little mini champ with a glass of orange juice so you can pour your own and I love that. I also feel like it's important to share that I got a meal and mimosa for under $20 (not including tip). I truly loved it here. This is my daughters favorite breakfast restaurant and in my top three. My go to is Floridian French toast which has a nice amount of fruit and I generally have leftovers. This was my 2nd visit to First Watch, both being at this location due to business. Like the 1st visit, this visit was also very positive. Our server was Hannah, and she deserves 10 of 10. What was highly impressive was that she went out of her way to have my 3 over easy eggs redone because the yolks were popped. We had a group of 12, and our server was phenomenal. This place is good for a group because they will give you separate checks. After all, you pay as you leave. Our server was amiable and attentive. The servers work together to make sure everyone had what they wanted. I appreciate that they leave bottles of water as we had finished a long walk right before lunch. One of the favorite parts of the meal that we did not get a pick of was the pretty green juice. I cannot recall its name, but it was one of their three special juices. I had the chopped salad with chicken, and it was good. My hubby had the beet toast, and he enjoyed it. My wife ordered the farmhouse skillet and it was not great either. We have been to this chain in Jacksonville, NC and it was much better. I gotta say I was excited to try this place I heard so much about. The food was ok, but ok on the same scale that you'd say iHop is ok. The eggs Benedict was decent, the pork sausage I can say was over cooked and less than impressive. My wife ordered Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and it was singular Pancake. She liked it but is still hungry and she's tiny. They don't have Splenda so if you're a Splenda user good luck. Didn't get a refill once in an hour and the place is empty, she honestly has 3 total tables including us. Crazy thing right- I ordered my meal and then while still eating it I ordered a sausage and English muffin and an orange juice. She didn't add it to our tab she legit made us a second check and I'll have to pay twice. So weird right? Noodle Blvd is right next door, I'll pick that over First Watch for lunch/brunch/anything going forward. It was just a weird and unpleasant experience for us. read more

Dissapointing. Went for breakfast this morning and ordered the Market Skillet hash. Compared to previous visits, there is a serious cutting back on premium ingredients now. It was mostly undercooked potatoes with VERY little tomatoes and spinach. I could not find a single piece of Cremini mushroom. Multigrain bread with preserves was fantastic as usual. Service was top notch. Ambiance was relaxed. Tip to the cook: Please cut your potatoes smaller chunks or cook them longer. Undercooked potatoes are not edible! And if that is what you mostly going to feed me, at least make it good. read more

I was really torn about whether to leave 3 or 4 stars on this place, because while the food was to-die-for and I definitely gained 2 pounds from it, there was a slight issue with service. Ultimately, I gave it 4 stars because the waitress did make an effort to rectify the situation. The food: we had the carnitas breakfast burrito, which was hands down the best breakfast burrito I have ever had! The crema was tart, the salsa just hot enough, and the meat tender and flavorful! The service: we were seated promptly and given our drink orders, but then our server forgot us. I'm not kidding, we almost left because SIX tables were sat and had ordered/received either drinks or food before she remembered to take our food order, and said she'd forgotten us. I was less than pleased, as I'm sure you can imagine. Our server made up for it though by bringing us absolutely massive portions, and she comped one of the burritos. I loved Egg and I. As a traveling consultant I would come to the Egg for daily breakfast, the original team was friendly, cheerful and got to know me and know my usual habits and orders. I was likely one of the few folks that loved the breakfast greens, and would always get them with their delicious Benedict or scrambles. Well I was off and not travelling for a few weeks in Nov, and now this place is here, the menu is bland, the food is not the same. I miss the side of greens, I don't need 'filler' cantaloupe melon as a side for breakfast. If I have a day where I'm short on time I'll probly stop by here again to give it another try, but for now going to find somewhere else. read more
