The food was good, very filling. We could've split the quesadillas and been filled up just fine. I thought service was okay. Courtney was our server this time but she brought the receipts pretty early on into the meal, which made me feel like we were supposed to leave soon. Ambiance is fine. They seemed to get pretty good business.

First watch was pretty good; the menu is extensive and there are many healthy options. The fresh juices were delicious. The elevated egg sandwich was missing arugula, but otherwise everything was great. Service was excellent!

Horrible treatment by staff. We got off the highway in Myrtle BeSch really hungry and needing coffee to be met outside in front by hostess to be turned away as they we're hosting a special event for friends and family of the owners Whick seems snooty and prideful. We will never go there again. We drove right down the road toThe Waffle House and they were do friendly and welcomed us with opened arms, great food, super good coffee, great waitress! I guess First Wake is not aware of who is going to pay their bills!

We came here on Saturday morning and it wasn't too crowded. The servers were quick and food was great. I like the look inside as well as outdoor seatings.

I left a bit underwhelmed. First, very slow service. I needed milk for my coffee - it was cold before the milk came. The latte was one of their specials. It was too sweet for us. My omelette wasn't terrible; it's just that they didn't dice up the game and cheese. It was literally super fluffy eggs wrapped around a huge chunk of ham and a huge block of cheese. It wasn't terrible by any means, but it also wasn't special. No one finished their plate.

Yummmm! This breakfast joint was right outside our hotel so we decided to give it a try. It was moderately busy, but our party of two were sat immediately. Our server was very kind. The restaurant itself is clean, nicely decorated and smells great as you can taste french toast in the air! The food even came out faster than we thought it would! Speaking of which we got the banana foster French toast and it tasted great! My favorite being the avocado toast though! Very lite and refreshing! My husband killed his Al pastor plate so that speak for itself. Definitely try this place out!

Amazing and quick breakfast option in Cary, NC. We went for breakfast while in town and first watch has something for everyone. If you like pancake, omelets or anything in between, they have something for you. There is ample seating (mostly booths or half and half set ups) with great lighting and a chill atmosphere. We had Joe as our server, who was so very nice and attentive. The price was nice and we were able to get some brunch cocktails to go with our meal as well. In all, if you are in the area stop in, but note they close at 2pm daily.

    Shrimp and Grits

We got shrimp and grits, the classic Benedict, and a kids egg and sausage. All of our food came out quickly, but it was lukewarm. I asked for an over medium egg to go over the grits and it was hard. The point was to let the yolk mix into the grits. The grits themselves weren't creamy at all. Rather dry and crumbly. No one came to ask how it was until we checked out. No thank you!! Not with the cost of this food!

This is my daughters favorite breakfast restaurant and in my top three. My go to is Floridian French toast which has a nice amount of fruit and I generally have leftovers. Real plus is during nice weather is the outdoor patio where we often bring our dogs with us. Enjoy Floridian French Toast, Elevated Egg Sandwich.

I went savory: a chicken salad croissant (flaky, generously filled, with a side of bow-tie pasta salad and a creamy poppyseed slaw) and a pressed caprese-style panini with tomato, mozzarella, and basil grilled to a deep golden crisp. Both solid, satisfying lunches. On the drinks, the cold brew made with Joe Van Gogh beans was great--smooth and well-balanced. The iced café au lait was acceptable, nothing memorable but it did the job. The bakery case alone is worth a stop: cannoli, cranberry almond muffins, strawberry streusel coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, brownies, and a rack of croissants. Friendly counter service and a comfortable spot whether you're grabbing a quick bite or lingering with a coffee. Worth a return visit. Prices are very reasonable.

They helped me navigate my coffee order and executed it to perfection. They also answered all of my gluten free questions and took extra precautions for my allergy. The egg white and cheese sandwich with turkey bacon was great. Pro tip: Order it with a double portion of egg white for added protein. I also got an iced cafe latte with caramel. You can get a punch card for every coffee and get one free on your tenth purchase. They have a great pastry selection. I got an almond croissant to go for my mom on a recommendation from a friend that said it's a can't miss! (I can't try it due to my allergy but it looks amazing) The ambiance has a cute cafe with plenty of seating.

The food looked as good as it tasted. The pastry was fresh, warm, and balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. It paired perfectly with the wine. The wine list was wonderful. There were plenty of options, and it felt well chosen, not overwhelming. The rosé we had was crisp and light, which worked great for lunch. Service stayed attentive without rushing anything. We came for lunch on a Tuesday at noon, expecting to miss any crowds or waits. There were about 5ish tables seated, so we were confused why the kitchen was so backed up. We both ordered a salad....and waited over an hour and 15 minutes. At this point I could have went to the store to make it myself. Unfortunately the quality was bad on top of the wait times and that's why I am writing this review. I'm disappointed that I brought my family here from out of town, we wanted to enjoy lunch and eat together, but it resorted in her eating cold chicken 20 minutes before me, and me eating lettuce drenched in dressing out of the plastic to-go container, which I didn't ask for They made it right by comping my salad and offering a free cookie, but due to the experience I don't want to give them a second shot. Very disappointed

This morning, I walked in and saw not one familiar face there, and I've come to learn all the staff walked out simultaneously weeks ago. After getting to know many of the staff over the years of frequenting there, anything to make every staff member walk out at the same time has to be big enough to leave a sour taste in your mouth. Am truly sad to see such a Raleigh staple not see the value in the community their staff created. Cheers to Joe, Brennan, Brett, amber, and all of the others past a present (shout out Tim and Casey and Jackie!) for their place in our lives over all of these years! Maybe it's because this time I'm not taking a work break amid student study breaks, but instead waiting for my animal friend to have some tests at the vet school with which this coffee shop shares a roof. Entirely different vibe at this different location. The coffee doesn't taste any different (sort of ordinary really) but the employees are different. Attitude. It's all attitude. Perhaps the difference is because this spot is frequented by people from the vet school or pet owners like me debating whether caffeine is a good idea when they're already stressed about their fur baby. Shared anxiety. That makes the employee attitude even more important. Nice people. Friendly people. The food here, simple wraps and sandwiches, does taste better for some reason. Even for institutionalized bites, it's served warm, tastes fresh (relative term, I know) and by employees who hand it to you instead of throwing it across the counter with a very much less than sincere "thank you".

I have been ordering my coffee and food with GrubHub, which is relatively smooth. My only complaint are the stickers that they attach to the coffees to identify the online customer that has ordered a coffee. The cup ends up being sticky because the heat of the coffee makes the adhesive glue gooey. This makes for an annoying coffee drinking experience, forcing you to pour the coffee into a new cup and washing the adhesive from your hands. Surely there must be a better way?
