Checked out this place for breakfast. @first.watch We overall give it a out of 5. The million dollar bacon alone though would get a 10 star. It was da bomb! we also shared the cinnamon chip pancake breakfast, which was very yummy and the hacienda hash. It was good but a very small portion. The wait to be seated and to receive our food was pretty lengthy. Service was fair. The pricing was just meh. We might go back but we will probably try other restaurants before heading back here. read more

So many decent reviews of this place but I find it to be mediocre at best. The food is OK, the service is fine. But I don't think anything is terribly exception here. Hash kitchen has great service and is excellent for brunch! Great food and has amazing decor! Has great dance music playing! Even a dj twisting the turn tables! Also there is mimosa flights! Online checkin was easy but that was about it. Server was non existent, food for all 4 of us was cold, my breakfast came with a side salad never got any dressing nor did anyone check on our food at any point for us to ask. We were able to snag someone for a second to get syrup for my sons waffle but it was cold anyway so the butter just clumped over the whole thing. Husbands breakfast tacos were cold and the corn tortillas were just taken out of the package no grilling or heat applied. No one got any refills (again bc no one ever came by our table)- and then I waited 12 minutes while everyone else went to the car for the check and when no one came I went up to the cashier booth and had to explain where my table was to find it. I eat at other locations when I travel, thought I would try one local with my family- won't be back. read more

This is what I always get because it never disappoints. Today however it did ! My food was cold and the proportions were soooo small! I've never seen so much of my plate before. Not happy about this at all. Especially when the table next to you orders the same thing and you can still see the steam from the food and the plate is stacked with it. read more

Normally we love First Watch. But we were waiting 15-20 mins (after ordering) when our server informed us our order did not go through and it would be a while longer. We waited another 20 mins for our food to arrive. When it did, it was cold and dry, obviously it had been sitting out. We left without eating it. Enough was enough. read more

One of our local favorite breakfast places. Everything on the menu is delicious. They have a Nutella French toast on special right now, definitely try! Kids menu is only under $6, and decent portions. They've recently remodeled and inside looks great. Friendly and great service and there is outdoor patio seating. Come early, it fills up. read more

I normally always get the BLT eggs benedict but today switched it up and got the smoked salmon benedict which was delicious(comes with a side of green and the dressing on it is amazing). I was excited to come here because they changed their seasonal menu and their seasonal menu has PUMPKIN PANCAKES!! Some may consider that "basic", but I call it "taste preference". Also tried there pomegranate mule, which has no alcohol by the way, it was not my favorite. I will definitely stick to my usual "Morning Meditation" next time. Pumpkin pancakes were delicious. Not a huge pork person so I absolutely love that I can feel normal and have a chicken apple sausage to eat instead. Husband got the Heritage Pork Chop and Eggs, which is everything I don't eat so I couldn't tell you my opinion. But in his words, "Meh. It was okay. The combination of compote and porkchop was good. Eh. Nothing special." Considering I've seen him physically drool over food I've asked him to describe, I dont think he was a fan of this dish so try at your own risk. Waitress was okay. She was pretty busy and we had to flag her down when she forgot to bring water, when we ordered a side of toast and when we needed the check. A+ on the décor. It's really a good looking spot and quite a contrast to the previous tenant, The Good Egg, which is apparently owned by the same company. I guess they just swapped concepts for the space. The menu is varied, there were good specials, and the coffee was very good. That's about what I'm looking for in a breakfast spot. I opted for the iced coffee (too sweet, I'll go unsweetened next time) and the brisket hash special (brisket was too tough came with great toast on the side). The salmon frittata was ok but needed some seasoning. Overall the food was good. Glancing around the restaurant it looked like everything that came out of the kitchen looked great. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu and I'm glad to have this option close to home. read more

I thought this spot was ok. I heard good things from others but maybe the word of mouth was a bit too overhyped. My girlfriend and I went for Sunday breakfast, she had the special bacon and a carrot cake pancake; I had a dish on the lighter side, egg whites, English muffin and a side of fruit. The bacon was as good as I would have hoped, the carrot cake pancake was awesome! (You have to like carrot cake though) otherwise it's very overwhelming. Alex was a great server. I've had issues in the past with no onions for my Chickicanga, but he ensured me there would be no issue this time. It was delicious. I love that entree, but since I have had several issues in the past, I've been wary about coming back. It's no fun waiting way too long for the kitchen to remake your meal (especially two times in a row one time!). But, today was a great experience. I also enjoy their Kale Tonic drink. My husband likes their avocado toast. Today he tried their breakfast tacos, and he really enjoyed them. Their pancakes are good, too, but a bit pricey. They are pretty large though. We like the blueberry or pumpkin pancakes. If you sign up for their emails, you get a free entree for your birthday! Lastly, the decor is farm-to-table, rustic, which is a nice atmosphere. They offer free fruit-infused water at the front door. I thunk some local newspapers to read, too. read more

Got on the waitlist through YELP and walked in as I made it to next in line. Have been to a different First Watch in Scottsdale and really enjoyed my experience (there except didn't have the coffee.) Ordered the frittata and Blue booster and coffee this time. Yep! Great meal again and the coffee was good (after I asked for real cream rather than that fake International Coffee creamer that says "shake well, no refrigeration necessary" Yuck!) The staff were friendly, helpful and non-judgmental about my real cream preference. Place is clean and not too loud and prices are reasonable. I even prefer to pay at the front register so the wait staff don't have to deal with money and can concentrate on serving. Thank you for a great morning! read more

We, stopped here for breakfast our first time. Place was relatively busy, but we got seated right away. Place was clean & everyone was friendly. We had Eggs Benedict - Florentine & "Everything" Smoked Salmon Benedict & a side of bacon. Some of the best hollandaise sauce in Arizona, very happy with this place. By far my favorite breakfast place EVER! They have perfectly sized portions and the food tastes so clean. Doesn't leave me feeling bogged down all day like other breakfast restaurant that cook with loads of butter, oils, and lard. My mouth is watering just thinking of their food. Went here because I love a good breakfast. Had to wait a bit to be seated. When we were seated I noticed that both of the empty glasses on the table were all cloudy. When the waitress came I pointed out their condition and asked for new water glasses. She casually said "oh that's just the dishwasher that does that". My glasses don't look that at my house. I would say then it's time for a new dishwasher or detergent...something. I always have a bottle of water with me so I passed on theirs. I ordered the Garden Omelette w/ ham and my friend ordered some veggie frittata. Both of our breakfasts were mediocre at best. Her dish had so many onions it was crazy! She loves onions but doesn't want the whole thing in her eggs. The broccoli in my omelette was still crunchy (undercooked). Not certain how this got "best breakfast/brunch award". Seemed no better than any other greasy spoon that serves breakfast, except much more expensive. Neither of us will be returning! read more

Decided to stop in over the weekend for breakfast. Service and the food were both poor which leads to this rating. Service: our server (won't mention her name) came to serve the table in a fair amount of time but then had to ask for the drink orders 2-3 times. Nothing wrong with writing it down but she felt the need to impress us with memory versus writing it down. This backfires when you can't remember and need to come back to our table multiple times to have us repeat just even the drink order. Even after finally getting it right it took 15 mins before the drinks arrived. Then we waited again for the water once our coffee and OJ came. In total, maybe 20 mins just to get the drinks. Food service to our table also took an longer than normal. We waited about 40 mins to receive our food after ordering and noticed a couple of tables who came in well after we did receive their food before we did. We ordered basic eggs and bacon so not sure why there was a delay. Food: This was below average too. Bacon was cold and looks like it was cooked early in the morning and then sits to be used as orders come in. They could at least reheat the bacon. Dry and cold when served to us. Eggs ordered over-easy and came to the table cooked all the way through. Disappointing considering how long we waited for the food to arrive. After spending over an hour we didn't even want to wait to have the food cooked to order again. Needless to say, we likely won't be back. If we do it won't be anytime soon. Wished it could've been a better overall experience considering they weren't even full with several open tables likely for social distancing. I think if the service had been improved, the experience might have been better. The under whelming food might not have tasted as bad had we not been waiting so long. Go at your own risk. It's was pretty cold in here. The morning juiced beet juice was absolutely delicious. The menu had a variety of healthy meals. I was pretty impressed. I had lemon risotto blueberry pancakes . This was the best pancakes I've had. The flava just popped in my mouth. I will be back to try something different. read more
