Wow!! The food here was AMAZING. Came here while visiting Gilbert/Scottsdale a week ago and we are still talking about the bread that was served with our hash skillets. It was very busy and we waited almost an hour to be seated. Our server was friendly and efficient but obviously had more tables than they could comfortably handle. We waited 25-30 minutes for the food and my breakfast (avocado toast) didn't come with the others. Our server plus several other staff told me it was because I ordered poached eggs, which I thought were fairly standard with avo toast. My plate came about 10 minutes after everyone else and still had no eggs. Again I was told it was because they were poached. After another 10 minutes my eggs came and were raw and cold. I had no choice but to send them back and wait another 15 minutes for a new plate of food. The million dollar bacon add-on was delicious but the rest was definitely sub-par. My server was very apologetic and didn't charge us for my order but c'mon people! Can't make poached eggs at a breakfast restaurant!?! For those of you that read my reviews you're fully aware of my obsession with all things eggs benedict . Today while out and about with a few of my kids we decided to stop for a late breakfast. I was so excited to see a new eggs benedict on their seasonal menu. This one definitely has some flare and I was unsure at first if I should go for it. You only I've once though so I decided to go for it. I'm so glad I did. I love when a restaurant thinks out of the box and the Barbacoa Quesadilla Benedict was just that. I was questioning what it would be like with a quesadilla instead of an English muffin, but our server Jenna reassured me with how good it was. When it arrived it looked fantastic and paired well with the black beans as my side. The Vera Cruz hollandaise sauce (has added pico mixed in) had the perfect kick. The barbacoa quesadilla is prepared quesabirra style. The meat was tender and it all paired so well together. My eggs were poached to my liking. while the yolk was a little runny it was not too poached or dry yolk. I enjoyed a purple haze drink with my meal as well. Service was awesome. They make so many things in house, like fresh squeezed OJ (upon ordering, I think), strawberry spread, lemon blueberry cornbread, and much more. Lots of variety. By far the best breakfast spot in AZ! Best spot to go to for brunch and breakfast. You can order just about anything off the menu and you'll be satisfied. It's my top spot to go to in AZ. The staff is great. I've gone 5 times at least and never left disappointed. I definitely recommend trying items off their specialty menu that they only have for a month at a time. The business is always busy so you'll usually find the reception area packed and all their tables taken. Make sure to plan ahead and either reserve a table for big parties or show up early to avoid long wait times If you do end up having to wait to be seated I promise you it'll be well worth the time. Our meal was very underwhelming. The biscuit was cold, incredibly dry, and too dense. The potatoes were undercooked and soggy. The Chimichanga had a strange taste that didn't quite mesh with the other flavors. Positives: Service was decent, food came quickly, and even though my omelette was bland and nothing to write home about, it wasn't horrible. We have eaten at First Watch for years. Today...they seemed to not have enough staff...it's a Wednesday. Our waitress was very nice. But our food was just OK. The breakfast sandwich used to come on different bun..today it looked like a hamburger bun, not very appealing not tasty. We asked and she said they are using a new vendor. Welll go back to the other one. The new Scambled egg tacos...just ok. They must have been sitting because they were not very warm. I hope what ever is happening is temporary. But you really need the better bun for the breakfast sandwich. It's like eating it just about anywhere. It was a step above before. We won't recommend it again until you fix it. read more

I feel like you can always get a good sense of a breakfast joint from their coffee alone, and unfortunately, the tone was set from our first sip. I ordered the salmon and veggie frittata with a side of fruit, my kid had the farmhouse skillet and we shared an order of avocado toast. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. The fruit was fresh and delicious. The portion sizes are decent. The real kicker was the bill. Now I know they're using quality ingredients but the quality of the meals produced just isn't there. This is a long-time favorite. Great food and very nice decor and ambiance. The only negative is that there is almost always a wait.

This is our go-to spot for breakfast or brunch, especially on soccer game days. It hasn't disappointed us yet. The food is consistently yummy with a ton of variety. I also love that you can add yourself to the waitlist online. It speeds up the wait. There have been times that we've sat at the community table and I love that as an option, too. We need more community! The last thing I'll say is that the service is great. It's fast and they all help each other. In fact, I think I'm headed there now. :) read more

I ordered take out...they no longer offer curbside pick up at this location but my food is bagged and was immediately ready for pick up on a designated table as soon as I walked in. The host was pleasant....I ordered the Market Veggie and when made right, this can be one of the most delicious sandwiches. It was okay, didn't have too much inside but I survived:-) the bread they use is delicious. The dressing for the side salad is delicious. I work in this complex and have gone here mid-week for lunch several times. I order one of the juices and the avocado toast. The very first time I went there this was the order I placed and ended up having a long and violent episode in the bathroom (putting it bluntly). The Manager reached out to me and that was fine. Today I ordered the same thing with 2 differences. I asked for no ice in my juice, which just seems common sense to me? And I asked for my runny eggs to be cooked over hard to avert the bathroom issue. I'm sure that since these eggs are not organic that there is bacteria which would cause problems in your gut. (See picture of my over hard cooked eggs) So I'm paying $12 for avo toast which is rather spendy, dont you think? As for the drink, I ordered one drink with ice and one without. When I picked up my order, the drink with ice was perfectly made but the other drink was all mixed up and the glass was only filled 3/4 full. I saw that right away and went back into the restaurant and I asked what's up. The young man apologized and the cup was taken to the kitchen and filled up. I have never eaten inside this restaurant, just taken to-go by ordering online. I cant speak to the cleanliness of this restaurant. These issues are likely just an oversight of the kitchen staff by not reading dietary requests. But if I take the time to request something easy to make the customer happy, shouldnt that get done? Honestly, if I had a microwave, I would zap those eggs and finish cooking them. I hate wasting food but it seems like going forward if I order from here again I will thoroughly check my order before leaving the restaurant. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is that the server did not give me a hard time with filling the juice cup. That's it. read more

Had brunch here on Sunday for the first time. The wait time was insane long but tolerable. But out of the First Watch near us, this location had the shortest wait time. When we were finally seated, we ordered our beverages and food all at once. Coffee and juice came quick but the food took much longer than it did. Our server(forgot his name) didn't even come by once to see if we needed anything. The reason for the 3 stars. He even forgot the potatoes in my order but that's ok. When our food arrived, he didn't check back to see if there was anything else we needed. Luckily the food was good. Service could definitely use a lot of work.
