Ok, this is my go to first watch . My husband died and i got a boho for my birthday. I asked the young lady if I could use the bogo and take one home for work the next day, fine she said.then i finished my brunch and she brought the bill and I asked again about the bogo and she said you want it to show on the bill? I said yes and she brought me a bill with two meal but no bag. I waited like 20 minutes and said , I am sorry, I think we had some confusion , I wanted one to go, am i getting the second meal. She huffed and puffed and said yes , it's coming. So another 15 minutes and she brings the bag and i said , I am sorry to annoy you and she says, yea, no problem. so I go to the cashier and she asks how everything was and I tell her the waitress seemed to have an attitude and she says "I'm sorry to hear that" lol. Everything to day is so rehearsed and customer service is dead. This is the first time I experienced this here. I wish I had not gone , i just wanted to feel better for my birthday when i had no one to dine with . So sad. Alexa should take a customer service class ,,,but I only gave her 2.00 tip to cover the effort to carry my plate

Honestly. If you're looking for a good breakfast place that serves real eggs and non-pork breakfast meat options, this is it! Love the pancakes and I ordered a lemon ricotta pancake. Hubby had the chickiachanga and loved it! This is a five minute drive from home and love that it is accessible, clean, and delicious! Might be a wait on a Sunday, but it's worth it.

I visited the steele creek location due to the high ratings I saw. The food was great. The server was friendly and answered all questions I had. Food and drinks did take a minute to come out however it was a busy sunday afternoon. My wait was about 45 minutes However location was clean, easy to find parking and was greeted since I walked in until the time I left.

This is the BEST First Watch in Charlotte! I've been going to First Watch for years and usually prefer the SouthPark location. After a few bad experiences at the newest location I gave this one a try. We went on a Sunday morning and were able to get a table quickly. The servers were pleasant and eager to make sure we had what we needed. I ordered my usual (the Tri-Fecta) and it was made to perfection. Even the potatoes which are usually either burnt or undercooked were perfect! Hubby tried the Floridian French Toast for the first time. We also ordered an additional slice of French toast, side order of chicken sausage and side order of potatoes. The extra side of French toast was not needed because the portion size of the Floridian FT is plenty. Our food was brought out quickly and no issues at all. Whenever I visit a First Watch from now on it will be at this location. Visited on 3/30

Delicious and huge breakfast tacos. Wanted to try the muffin of the day, which is blueberry, and I didn't have room for it after those tacos. Served with the most delicious home fries.

I love the consistency in service, food quality and experience at First Watch. Staff is always smiling and courteous. The bathrooms are clean and the kitchen is open for inspection! So many families come through here it shows the trust they have for this location. I like to get the BLTE sandwich for breakfast, rather than the traditional breakfast items, I think it his better than some of the fancy breakfast items. The classic breakfast is my wife's goto selection and it never misses. When you order a side of bacon, you get a generous portion which makes the price reasonable. You can tell they don't cut corners here! Loving it on a New Years Day as my first meal to set the year!

Came in with some colleagues after cheering on some of our elementary boys run in the Let Me Run 5k this morning. Waited a little longer than normal al to be greeted by our waiter and get our drink orders, but they were a little busy. Food came out fast and was delicious. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Worth the little wait time we had and allowed us time to fellowship and catch up. Definitely worth trying if you've never been.

I had lunch here for the first time. I lived the choose two and can't wait to go back. The food was a good size and I could not even finish everything. I loved the salad and sandwich, and almost everything on the menu has avocado which is my favorite. They also have seasonal menus every time you come and the blueberry lemon cornbread was delicious and reminded me of a lemon poppyseed muffin

The service was friendly!! Food was amazing! The building is nice and cozy, it's inside a plaza with plenty parking. This place is perfect for brunch and brunch if you like to enjoy breakfast foods after 11am. I didn't see the cost of coffee on the menu and the guy told me it was included with the meal. Needless to say, I was charge 3.99. But you do get a lil pot of coffee to drink. So if you enjoy several cups of coffee with your meal, 3.99 maybe a bargain for you. If you are a half cup gal like myself with nobody to share the pot with, it will not be economical. But I did get a cup to go. Overall, everything was delicious! Even the coffee. They close at 2:30 and was shutting down around 2:10. We got there around 1. Get there in time to enjoy your meal before closing time.

Chose to come here for last minute birthday breakfast. The first waitress assigned to us was on track to make a horrible experience for us so we took it upon ourselves to switch it up and I asked another server who was noticeably nice, smiling and happy if she would take over. Our morning went from..."let's go somewhere else" to "WOW! This is my new favorite breakfast spot." We had the pleasure of being served by Alura. She is amazing. Kind, patient, attentive, welcoming and a great improviser lol. She covered her assigned section but also catered to us sitting at the barstools making sure the cups never went empty and that we had everything we needed when the food came out and periodically after that. (*note: the bar isn't open yet but you can still sit there and be served. We did ask permission to move.) Since we had a birthday, I asked if they did anything to celebrate. It's a breakfast place so I wasn't expecting much, but Alura (on the fly) came up with the idea to bring out mini doughnuts and her and her coworker Lacey came out and sang. We vibed with the staff so much that we even met one of the chefs whose name was Levi. The service was AMAZING, the food was hot and delicious and overall we had a great time. Thank you Alura for turning the morning around for us.

I've been to First Watch a few times but this location was new to me. I went around lunch time with a friend and we were seated immediately. This location was clean and the staff were friendly. This would be a great place to come for breakfast. It would be but the cost of a cup of plain coffee at $3.60 costs more than a cup of Starbucks at $2.95. Sodas are even more than coffee. Service was slow, my food came out missing parts of my order and my poached eggs were completely underdone. On our way out my husband stopped by the restroom and the metal on the door cut him. We asked them for a band-aid, they all ran around doing other stuff so we just left... at no point did a manager or anybody come out to check on us, our food was sent back twice and my husband left bleeding. We stopped by here because it was on the way home from a friend's house but just YIKES everything was bad. Except the drinks, those were admittedly really tasty but after everything it was not even worth the stop. read more

Came in this morning for breakfast around 8:50 and we were seated right away. Latia, our server, was very prompt to see to our needs and get the coffee flowing. The food came out quickly and was very good. Glad we have this place nearby, will definitely be back! read more

My first experience at this First watch location didn't disappoint. We were tended to quickly and our food came fast, which we were curious about being a brand new location/knowing there are always kinks to be worked through. Our waitress Latia was wonderful. Came to enjoy brunch. Ordered the appetizer donuts, 2 waffles, pancakes & the biscuits and gravy. Our waffles came out cold as did the pancakes. The syrup came out after a while and it was also cold. The biscuits were fine. We had them take back the waffles in the mean time they finally brought out the donuts which were... cold. When we got our waffles the second time they were burnt. I usually never complain but this was a joke. Won't be back here. read more

My husband and I love to eat at First Watch. We were going to stop by the Premium Outlets and decided to go to First Watch. Latia was a phenomenal!! She was waiting on someone at the register when we came in. She had super smile and was having fun with one of the customers. We do not see that at most of the restaurants right now. We were lucky enough to have Latia as our server. She is a wonderful person with a great personality. We enjoyed our meal from the moment we entered until we left. The food was excellent!! I am so grateful that First Watch came to Steele Creek! There are really no other restaurants in this area with heated patios or patios that aren't enclosed for winter. I'm immunocompromised and not cleared to eat in restaurants yet, so my being able to go to First Watch and enjoy their heated patio is such a blessing. I can feel normal for just a bit and enjoy hanging out with a friend and eating their delicious food! I particularly love their Belgian Waffles and their Roast Beef and Havarti Horseradish sandwich and I also hear the BLTe is great. Yum! I'm personally not a huge fan of home fries (even though theirs are very good), so I would love to see them add Tater Tots or potato chips or another potato option maybe, but that is not a complaint, just a suggestion. This particular location is trash. Ive been twice and both times the breakfast potatoes were warmed in a microwave and barely cooked. Its a shame cuz the restaurant is gorgeous but this location will probably be closed before long because it is truly @ss read more

Went for Sunday brunch. Got on wait list on line. It said 30 minute wait. Arrived in about 20 minutes. I checked in and they said the wait was now 40-45 minutes. The explanation was that there were walk-ins that came in and needed to be seated so it pushed the wait list back. I waited and watched several people that requesting seating for 4 that seated before me. There two others who requested tables for 4 who challenged the host as we did. There was no reasonable explanation why. Some people left and said they would never return. I live in the neighborhood so go regularly. If the service doesn't improve I will stop going. Al read more

When I'm in a new city, and I'm hungry for a good breakfast, I always check to see if there is a first watch nearby. Such a great breakfast/brunch. Many choices and styles of breakfast food to satisfy my very varying degrees of hunger. service is fast. The ambience is entertaining because every first watch has a different motif. Even if there's a line, it moves pretty quickly. I always love first watch. read more

Came on a Sunday morning and after ordering, the food took about 45 minutes to come out. It was all cold and way overcooked. The last to come out were the kids pancakes, so the little ones were just staring at the adults eat for 10 minutes. Our waitress didn't come over to check on us, gave us water for the table but no cups. Couldn't find anyone else to just ask for cups until 20 minutes later. A very poor experience overall. read more

great place! I come here for breakfast so often and enjoy it every time. All the items on the menu are delicious, you really cant go wrong. I love their juices! Food was great but I don't get into the whole vegan keto blah-blah thing that you can tell by looking through the menu is an option as well. The food came out promptly and the drinks were delicious and stayed full. What I'm trying to say is they cater to a redneck like me or to my best friend who not only smokes but hugs trees. Normally we are pleased with our visit to First Watch, but today they dropped the ball. We placed ourselves in line via their website and when we arrived we checked in at 10:10. We noticed many customers coming after us and we're seated before us. By 10:55 we still hadn't been called for a table but a hostess was kind enough to notice we'd been waiting for a long time and asked us our name. She then said that we had not been checked in. She immediately sat us down and our server was wonderful! My wish is that when patrons come in and are told they're checked in, make sure they are checked in. Big thanks to the hostess that recognized we had been waiting a long time and for our server who gave excellent service. read more

Terrible. The waffle was ice and I mean ice cold. The tea was so sweet I couldn't drink it. group of 5 and it took right at 35 mins to get food. the pork sausage is horrid and the eggs were ok but not cooked like I asked. It is bad when a waffle is messed up. The other guys didn't eat much of theirs either so.......stick to IHOP or Waffle House. read more

Latia was most efficient friendly and overall a wonderful employee. She interacted with our granddaughter the entire time. Not only was she the most interactive and positive server that we have encountered but she appears to truly enjoy her work. The meal as always was great read more

Food and service was great ! But it was absolutely arctic inside. We had to eat fast in order to eat warm food. When customers are having to go out and get jackets from there car, it's to cold to eat. The 4 people that came out after us all said the same thing. It felt really good to walk out to 84 degrees. Just made the experience lack luster for our first time at First Watch. read more

I ate one of them and discarded the rest. The "Chicken Ditch the Waffle" was equally terrible. Whatever they did to turn the biscuit into "fake" French toast is a 100% fail. They were as dense and unappealing as the mini biscuits. The chicken itself was fine. If I was only rating the chicken I'd probably give it a 3.5. The best dish was actually the "GOAT." It was served with a Standard biscuit which we thought was still too dense and dry. I recommend finding an independent restaurant that serves real, "from scratch" food. I should point out that the service crew in the dining room who delivered the food as well as provided cleanup and assistance, were exceptional. They were friendly, courteous, and focused on customer service. I'm sure they deserve more than they are being paid. It was obvious many of them were spanish-speaking immigrants. I like the Spanish Omelet keto-style. Instead of a biscuit and grits, you get a half of an avocado (sliced) and a roasted tomato. The omelet is always full of flavor, and I love it. My husband's favorite is their White Chocolate Bread Pudding Pancakes, with bacon ($2 extra). Don't let the name deter you--these pancakes aren't too thick. They are slightly chewy, and the white chocolate whiskey sauce is amazing. He rarely uses the syrup! Ruby's coffee is always good and strong, and their service is great, no matter who you get. I'm already thinking of when we will return next!

Our favorites were the sake toro (sashimi) and the zero sen roll, but don't sleep on the brussel sprouts! Best of my life (and I am not a Brussels fan). DRINKS We split a tentaka kuni 'hawk of the heavens' tokubetsu junmai saki which was earthy but neutral and great for slow sipping. I also had a very good old fashioned and capped off the night with a glass of miner family winery 'emily' (2021) cab. The restaurant is gorgeous and has very casual/elegant dining vibes. Very prompt and friendly staff made the night even more special. I was treated to complimentary "fried milk" for my birthday hand delivered by one of the chefs. Not to be outdone, the warm banana cake was the final dish of our 7 courses and was one of the best desserts I've ever had. The white coffee ice cream that accompanies it is just... chef's kiss. The hot rock is both fun and delicious (pro-tip: use both sauces in combination!). The bluefin chutoro, pork flank, and spicy crunchy roll were all absolutely top-notch. Another shining star to end the night is the fried milk dessert. Do yourself a favor and save room, because this is a next-level dessert unlike anything else. The flavor explosion from the actual fried milk balls is life-changing. For drinks, I highly suggest their signature cocktails, the Subarashi and the Nikko Martini. You truly can't go wrong here. I've been to First Watch many times and usually love both the food and the experience. However, this particular visit to the Steele Creek location was disappointing. The service felt rushed--our waitress wasn't very friendly and brought the food and the check at the same time, which I've never experienced at First Watch before. It gave the impression that they wanted us out quickly rather than allowing us to enjoy our meal. As for the food, it wasn't up to the usual standard. I always get the Million Dollar Bacon, but this time it tasted burnt. I also tried the Million Dollar Potatoes, and unfortunately, they had the same burnt taste. On the other hand, my wife's food was very tasty, and I found myself wishing I had ordered something different. First Watch on South Tryon offers a delightful dining experience with good food and a nice ambiance. The place looks like a stylish model studio, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy a meal. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, although she did forget to ring in our food initially. However, I witnessed her giving special attention to a special needs boy, showing him around and making him feel welcome, which explains the oversight. She graciously comped our meal, and the rest of the service was excellent. The food was tasty and well-prepared, adding to the positive experience.
