Always a good experience whenever I go to a First Watch location. It was a Sunday during brunch hours so it was pretty packed. I used the Yelp app to add my party on the wait list. We waited an extra 20 minutes about until our table was ready. The staff were very sweet and accommodating. It was very spacious and open on the inside so even with the amount of people waiting and dining in, it didn't feel like we were on top of each other. I had a salmon and veggie frittata with fresh seasoned potatoes. It came with a slice of buttered ciabatta toast. The portion sizes were perfect, the food properly cooked and presented well. Unfortunately had to give this location a low rating. We were told there was a wait of 45 minutes, put our name in and ended up waiting 1.5 hours. This was very frustrating after waiting for an extended time and then not receiving any sort of compensation or apology. Our server was very kind however we waited over 30 minutes for our food. Again, not an issue with our server but the restaurant gave an unenjoyable experience. Hopefully this issue can be fixed in providing an accurate wait time, updated wait time, or let alone an apology. read more

The "manager" came to me only to say sorry and that online orders come last and they're busy..... but I already paid and had been waiting just as long as anybody else? A very nice breakfast place. No wait on a cold rainy Saturday morning. It was busy but not packed and the noise level was average. I had the sunrise granola bowl. It was loaded with fresh fruit, yogurt, and not too much granola, and came with a muffin (orange cranberry today, but the muffin selection changes). Downtown it's always hard to find a good lunch place that is quick and not crowded. Co-workers and I took a chance and went to First Watch. It was perfect. There was no wait and the manager who seated us was very friendly. The beauty with First Watch is that they have a great lunch menu but you can get breakfast if you are in the mood. I was in the mood for some sweet, syrupy pancakes. Two out of the three orders came out quickly, but the server was very nice and apologetic to the person who had to wait a bit longer. As always, the food was perfectly made. The potatoes are my favorite because they are seasoned with onions. Yum. We came in on July 4th and thought we'd have to wait forever to get a table but they seated us right away. Service was prompt and attentive. I had the eggs Benedict with salmon which was heavenly. I even loved the side of simple salad greens dressed with lemon! The kids enjoyed their chocolate chip pancakes and I finished some of husband's plate too. I wish we had a First Watch closer to home. We are here multiple times while staying in Cincinnati because it was simply so good. The menu has great variety, from the indulgent million dollar bacon to the hearty avocado toast to the sweet pancakes. Coffee is good and ingredients are fresh. I was pleasantly surprised by First Watch, not so much because of the quality of the food (though it is good and perfectly serviceable) but because they offered a lot of actually healthy choices. I appreciate that very much! You don't see that so often in diners. I'm also a sucker for puns, so the fact that they serve an omelet called "Greek Fetish" was really the clincher in deciding to go here. I had the Tri-Athlete omelet which came with a generous amount of fruit. Starving, I ordered a side of their potatoes too, which were nothing special. As a caffeine junkie, I also like that the server leaves an entire pot of coffee on your table. The coffee itself: not that great but that's not a deal breaker for me. The closing at 2:30 PM every day thing is a little puzzling, though. I'd like to note that my friend and I walked in at 2:05 PM on a Saturday and we were still waited on in a very friendly, professional and quick way. I recently attended a conference here in Cincinnati and we were looking for breakfast outside the hotel and came across this place. We like it so much, we came back the next day for breakfast. The staff is super attentive and the food come up fast, very on the ball. I had the "works" omelet and as a lover of great omelets, it was delicious. I would probably go here too much if I lived in Cincinnati. I had an incredibly hard time choosing what to eat because everything sounded so good but I ended up getting the market hash which was excellent. They have fresh juices that I think change every so often - I got the kale, cucumber, lemon, apple one and loved it. They had a huge line when we went, but it went really fast, and they text you when you have a table so you can wander around. There's also coffee out for while you're waiting. read more
