The quality of food at First watch is always consistently good! The staff at this location is always friendly and attentive and typically the food comes out pretty quick. We ordered an avocado toast with smoked salmon and their seasonal steak hash was phenomenal! We always enjoy their juices as well, especially the kale tonic. Once we were done, they even offered us to-go cups for our coffee. It was relatively empty at 8am on a Sunday, but when we've been later in the mornings, it does tend to get busy. read more

This was my first First Watch experience and I was not disappointed! The food and service were excellent and they offered a large menu. We took my in-laws here and everyone found something to enjoy. We loved sitting by the large windows in the early morning. The fresh juices were a hit and the Chimichurri breakfast bowls were so full of flavor and filling. My family has patronized First Watch for many years at least seven locations. The quality and inconsistency is becoming an issue for me. I requested your Trifecta Breakfast. Pecan pancake with bacon and eggs. Depending upon the location or cook the pancake is served with pecan cooked in the pancake or just dropped on top. The bacon was raw and so grease you could see in lingering on the plate and bacon. This is not the first time this has happened. read more

I was a little worried at first when I greeted by the hostess or woman who approached me to take me to a seat since she seemed a little rude but I gave her grace - she may have been having a bad morning. But Abigail my server was amazing she followed up rather quickly offering coffee and to ask if I was ready to order. She was kind, polite and complimented my ear muffs. I assembled with a group of 8 for brunch on a Saturday. The get in line ahead works really well and was the reason we chose them. Parking is off street meter, or nearby pay garage. First Watch is on a first floor commercial building. I believe this was another brunch joint a few years ago that I dined at. I love all the glass and light. Service was friendly throughout and timing on meals arriving was pretty good. There was a hiccup on a dish arriving late. The waitress apologized. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I went into this location for lunch today. I specifically mentioned my dairy allergy and asked if there was any dairy in the tomato soup. The waiter was quick to say "no, there is no dairy." I took him at his word and ordered it. Two bites in I knew there was dairy. I haven't had dairy in years and the first bite I could taste something off but couldn't place it, the second bite I suspected and stopped eating it. The place was busy so I didn't have anyone to ask. When I got home I started to get sick. I looked up the allergens and noticed that tomato soup has both dairy and gluten in...neither of which I can eat. I will be calling to speak to management. Their wait staff need to be trained on the ingredients in the dishes and if they don't know they need to ask. read more

Came on a Monday morning and was surprised to see how crowded it was. - Tri-Fecta - I got the chocolate chip pancake and it was amazing, perhaps the best pancakes I ever had, think crunchy outside and pillowy insides. I also really enjoyed the thick-cut bacon. - Elevated Egg Sandwich - Pretty good, I especially liked the avocado addition to the sandwich. "When ya find something that works well, dont fix a damn thing!" That would seem to be where I stand with First Watch right now indeed. After my Yelp Elite event just 4 days ago which lead to my loss of F.W. virginity, I have now been back 2 more times....I know right!? Its like I cant get enough! I came in on a Saturday morning leaving my GF's place starved and yet to hit the grocery store as the fridge was running a wee bit low. That awareness lead my car wheels to the likes of Clayton and the store on Forsyth Blvd. Arrived at about 750am and the place was not too busy at all. Got seated right away and took myself a window seat. Love the open spacious interior and rustic feel of this location much familiar to the Town and Country location but different in layout. Now on my own, free to choose anything on the menu compared to the special feature items I had just days before at the YE event I had some hard life choices to make! My eyes saw the new special feature item on the blackboard. Ancient Grains Power Bowl. The very title just screams healthy, wholesome, clean! The pictures on the table help a bit too! I saw, I wanted, I ordered. I had a coffee and food on my table in 10 minutes tops. My waitress who's name I forget was cute, kind and friendly, whats not too like!? The dish in all honestly looked better in reality then the pictures I feel. So much color and that amazing breakfast smell! This dish was amazing on all counts but 1 IMHO....the amount of chicken is not much. Relative to the kale and quinoa amounts it was not much at all. What was there was delicious just the same! The whole dish was a fantastic combo of greens, eggs, meat, seeds and grains. What a truly "powerful" way to start any Saturday morning. This is the kind of meal I scout and try and then almost certainly will try and make myself at home. The next day....... I come back! GF and I have brunch plans and she never having to this spot, me riding high on it yet, and this store being almost smack between our homes worked out pretty well! Better yet they have their own app to put your name/party down in advance and get seated on arrival. We did just that and got seated pronto. Super busy this time! 1215pm Sunday, packed house! We got seated in the far back where plenty of windows and lighting still available. This time I went for more "lunchy" fare and scored a Monterey Club on whole grain toast vice sourdough and minus the mayo and pepper jack (I hate mayo and cant do soft cheeses) with side organic greens salad. GF got the AM Power Bowl with whole grain toast and almond butter. About 20 minutes later we had out food so service a bit slower this time but being so busy I can see that. We did have 2 other waiters come to our table to bring us dishes, not ours but rather the tables next to ours, simple hiccup. My sando was dope, pure and simple! They did not have any mustard when I asked. Only a mustard/mayo blend was all. No mustard when you have sandos on a menu? GF loved her Power Bowl and she liked topping the toast with the power bowl mix and I could see why. Our server was someone different than the one I had before but this one was still really good. Kind and tentative but seemed really rushed I will say. Cassandra the GM here is awesome. She came out to say hello both times and thank me for coming. Seems to really enjoy pleasing her customers. First Watch is home to my favorite egg sandwich on this earth-the Elevated Egg Sandwich. It is a welcome departure from the typical greasy egg sandwich and it's the perfect brunch food in my eyes. I've had many other items on the menu as well. From blueberry pancakes to the "million dollar bacon," I have been impressed by everything I have ordered here. The coffee here is also quite good. Joel is an amazing server! We came in hungry and grumpy (it was 7am and we were starving) and he delivered positive and excellent service. He had noticed before we had to mention that the water glasses looked dubious, switched those out right away, offered my son eggs instead of bacon for his kids meal and was attentive throughout our breakfast. Wow! I forgot to post this review, but it's based on my visit in late October '18. Suffice it to say, we loved First Watch and will return! From my notes... First Watch saved the day today! Upon arrival at the other place, at 10 AM, with Sunday brunch in full swing, we were told, "no dice", leaving us hungry and worried we wouldn't find someplace else. Enter First Watch. A quick phone call, and we were all set. They put us on their waitlist, and treated our group warmly.... you know, like they were actually happy to have us come to their establishment! We were seated more quickly than I expected and our service was fantastic from start to finish. The menu had so many tasty sounding options it was really difficult to choose. A good problem, right? I started with coffee (plentiful, they leave a carafe on the table) and a fun juice drink (can't remember the name... had beet and ginger and orange I think...) For my brunch I finally settled on the lemon ricotta pancakes. I was in the mood to splurge. The pancakes were huge (yep, I ate 'em all) and delightful. Topped with sliced strawberries and creamy lemon marscipone. I slowly savored the meal over great conversation with our friends. We were seated in a side room, which was nice because it was probably a bit quieter than the main room. Still felt bright and pleasant. Easy to have conversation. Space! So much space inside! Coming from Chicago, a booth to myself and room to breathe was a nice change of pace. I thought the atmosphere was pleasant - came around noon on a Wednesday and it was not too busy or loud. The waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. I ordered the crepes with fresh fruit but asked if they could leave out the bananas and they said yes. The fruit was fresh and the crepe itself was yummy. It came with granola and a muffin, which were good as well. Along with a large iced coffee, my bill only came to ~$11, which I felt was a fair price. The only part of the meal I thought was a little strange is that they brought my check only 5 minutes after I started eating! Lol I wasn't even halfway through! I've come here for brunch a couple of times and had good experiences both times. On the weekends this place gets pretty busy for brunch, I would recommend using the No Wait app to get yourself on the list before showing up... some wait times were 30+ minutes! They offer all types of brunch/breakfast/lunch foods! I've tried the Fresh Fruit Crepe and the Chicken Salad Melt with tomato soup. Their hash breakfasts look amazing, and that is next on my list to try. I am very much obsessed with the chicken salad melt and highly recommend it! All 3 locations have very good food & efficient service, however, this franchise location has the most charm. The interior is nicer, more modern 'farm 2 table look', and the staff seems a bit more polished than the other 2 spots. I really liked this place. They had excellent service and the staff/kitchen was super knowledgeable about gluten free options and variations of menu. The carrot cake pancake is absolutely excellent. The banana and granola pancake was pretty good too. Also tried the smoked salmon frittata and thought it was perfectly cooked. Smoked salmon is an easy thing to make over salty and this place made it quite well. I also tried the morning meditation lemon, orange, organic ginger, tumeric, beet juice and agave drink. It was pretty good but not my favorite juice of all time. It wasn't nearly as fresh as I'd hope to taste. Overall definitely a place I'd recommend to try.
