First Watch continues to exceed breakfast expectations, even on New Year's day when I came for a late breakfast and there was no wait! They also let you join a wait list online and let you know how long the wait might be before showing up. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The holiday decor was festive and beautiful. I like that the menu shows calories next to each dish to aid in decision making. Morning Meditation Juice $6 - Delicious and refreshing blend of juices! Power Wrap $11.50 - The wrap hit the spot and the side of fruit was a perfect ending. Frittata Rustica $13 - Great flavors and you have a choice of sides. Biscuit and Gravy side $6 - The biscuit was fluffy and the gravy was flavorful. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2026

I was a little worried at first when I greeted by the hostess or woman who approached me to take me to a seat since she seemed a little rude but I gave her grace - she may have been having a bad morning. But Abigail my server was amazing she followed up rather quickly offering coffee and to ask if I was ready to order. She was kind, polite and complimented my ear muffs. I was amazing when my food came out in less than 5 minutes fresh and hot! I love first watch but I have never visited this location and thankfully I was not disappointed.

It's a fave brunch chain due to its consistency of service and food quality. This is my first time at the Clayton location under the First Watch name. I assembled with a group of 8 for brunch on a Saturday. The get in line ahead works really well and was the reason we chose them. Parking is off street meter, or nearby pay garage. First Watch is on a first floor commercial building. I believe this was another brunch joint a few years ago that I dined at. I love all the glass and light. Service was friendly throughout and timing on meals arriving was pretty good. There was a hiccup on a dish arriving late. The waitress apologized. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had eggs, sausage and potatoes. Everything tasted great! The value is decent as it's hard to find what seems like a deal these days. Looking forward to returning.

I think first watch has always had some good food. Went today and that didn't change. The service was really amazing and fast. The server we had was attentive. The place looked amazing. The food was pretty good as well, my favorite has to be the carne asada hash and the French toast. The juices were also good especially the kale tonic. You can taste the apples but also a hint a kale. Love the breakfast for dinner we had and will def be back.

Their new seasonal menu is phenomenal! We tried the raspberry ricotta French toast and the carne asada hash and both tasted so good. The service is always prompt and we love the decor and booths.

Our server Emma rocked it. Got everything (all our customizations) perfect, the place is sunny and feels brand new, and the food was amazing. Thanks, First Watch! See you again soon!

I ordered the AM breakfast bowl I've had many times before always consistently good.

First Watch in Clayton is wonderful!! Food, service and the ambiance is quiet and comfortable. Servers always friendly and courteous. I hesitate to tell people about this location because I don't want it to get overwhelmingly busy like a lot of the other First Watch locations

The new Clayton First Watch is really nice! I like it better than the nearby Brentwood one, it feels more open and it's also not as loud. Service was okay. One of my pieces of French toast was the heel of the bread which was a bit unfortunate.

Fantastic brunch place and probably one of the best places to get pancakes. Came on a Monday morning and was surprised to see how crowded it was. - Tri-Fecta - I got the chocolate chip pancake and it was amazing, perhaps the best pancakes I ever had, think crunchy outside and pillowy insides. I also really enjoyed the thick-cut bacon. - Elevated Egg Sandwich - Pretty good, I especially liked the avocado addition to the sandwich. Overall a fantastic experience here and highly highly suggest getting the pancakes! Those were delicious!

Time for Saturday morning eats at FW!

There's a waitlist through Google, too.0 It's been around for awhile and always busy with locals so I think it's stood the test of time. If you haven't been here before, get the Clara Cake (13.5) or they're considerate enough or I have single slices of the Clara and other famous toasts / pancakes that range from 5-6.5 to try. Everything else is simple and fresh. You might leave a tiny bit hungry or 80% full which is good place to be Also parking is easy ish since there's a neighborhood nearby and after all it's just St. Louis not SF or LA!

They seated us at a long table with people at the other end, but we still had ample space. To started our meal, we ordered a hot chocolate and coffee, along with some of the delicious doughnuts. Those doughnuts were scrumptious, and I even made sure to save one chocolate for after my breakfast. For my main course, I opted for the BBLT, which was an enormous sandwich filled with all the classic ingredients: bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, over-easy egg, and aioli. It was served on a wheat bun with breakfast potatoes, making it a hearty and satisfying meal to kickstart my day. We also shared a giant blueberry pancake, which was a complete meal in itself. I'm still reminiscing about that delicious pancake along with everything else and can't wait to return to this place for another delightful brunch experience!

Songbird is the Dolly Parton of St. Louis breakfast: bigger stage, brighter lights, same voice…read more I've followed this operation since it was a sandwich pop-up at the Tower Grove Farmers' Market, through the brick-and-mortar in The Grove, and now into its larger home in Tower Grove South. The quality has not wavered once. I ordered what I always order: The Combo (fried eggs, maplewood smoked bacon, cheese, brioche toast), extra egg, extra bacon. Most kitchens treat a fried egg as binary (runny or ruined). Songbird has mastered the middle register: lacy edges with a yolk that stays glossy and intact right up until the first bite. I ordered them over hard, and they came out a bit closer to over medium, but they were just as good as I wanted them to be. The bacon carries real smoke. This is a decadent sandwich, big enough that half of it would make a light breakfast; I wasn't remotely hungry after one, the second half was indulgent. The service made the move too. The hostess still recognizes returning customers, and the bigger room finally lets the dining experience breathe. The service at the table could have been a little warmer as we've had it the past, but it is still professional. I was there with two close college buddies, one of whom declared his latte excellent. I keep meaning to get adventurous with the menu, but it is genuinely hard to find a bacon, egg, and cheese toasted this perfectly, and I'd go twice in one day if given the opportunity. 4.8 A full five arrives the day when I can arrive first thing on a Saturday without a 30 minute wait, honestly, it's hard to get a reservation here because of its popularity. Good for them. Cheers to you, Songbird. Dolly would be proud

*Not accessible *Not kid friendly…read more This location has a lot of improvements to be made. The menu is bland and they deter you from making modifications. I wanted my toast's jam to be on the side and they said no. It was a thick tasteless brick without the jam. The items are not as traditional for a breakfast spot, and when I asked the server what they were known for she said the drinks.... They also run a tight turnaround time so they will make you feel uncomfortable when its time to clear your table and pay the bill because they will tell you the next reservation is in 5minutes. The plates were all different and my guest who got a sandwich had her food come out in a plastic fry basket instead of the nicer plates. Odd. As I mentioned earlier, they are not kid friendly as they don't have a kids menu or kid friendly items like fruit and pancakes. We ordered a side of avocado and chicken sausage as those were the safest for us. Also there are no changing tables in the restrooms. Accessibility note: the entrance is a giant multi-slope and 1 turn ramp into a cramped lobby. The men's restroom is the only one on the main floor and female restroom is tucked far in the backroom inaccessible due to a steep step in the back. It is not wheelchair or walker friendly.
