Sorry, they continue to break the one major deal breaker when it comes to plating breakfast. COLD plates! We have given them many chances and have concluded these were not one off occasions. Eggs simply do not retain heat on a cold plate. After the third cold plate exprerience we offered the constuctive critisism to our kind server, hoping word would get back and the habit would change. Sadly, his response was that they simply do not have the room to store warm plates. HUH? So, that was the third strike and won't be back. Just not worth the long wait for cold food. When food is served this way you are lucky to get down half of it. And who designs a kitchen without an ability to keep a plate warm? We are not eating cold subs for lunch here. This is also a deservice to the servers, all great by the way, as I am sure most would unfairly blame them thinking the food had been sitting a while. Seems like such an easy fix. read more

The food is great here. I'd give the food five stars. The service is good also but the front of the house gets really busy on the weekends and can be overwhelming. The inside is decorated nice and has a modern but rustic type feel to it. Just suggest getting here early or plan to wait a little while or longer. read more

There was a small wait for lunch on Sunday, but it was worth every single second!! We used the wait to look at the menu and had already picked our meals by the time our table was ready. Once we were seated by the very friendly host, our attention was immediately drawn to the dishes being delivered to other tables. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. One of the best breakfast restaurants we have found in DFW. Will definitely be back. Some of the reviews have complained about people being seated ahead of them, but if you go to their website you will clearly see that you can remotely add your name to the wait list so you don't have to wait as long. I was invited to attend this yelp event by my partner. I just love hanging out with the elite Yelp folks as they are very friendly folks. Now to my review of First Watch. All I can say is that their food was fantastic. We did not have anything to say about the quality of their ingredients. I'll recommend ordering their Pancakes and avocado toast. Also you should try their ham and gruyer melt sandwich, it's to die for. Be sure to ask for the hibiscus lemonade. They do have a very friendly staff and will accommodate you when needed. I just finished eating and overall it was fine. I had the French toast with a side of bacon, the food came in about 30 minutes. It was cold and soggy, although the taste was quite nice though. Weird butter-like aftertaste which was funky but went away after 5 minutes. The wait to sit down was 50 minutes, like holy moly! The waiter was kind and patient which is a plus. Wasn't thinking about posting when I got here but it was a good healthy choice for breakfast so pull out the phone for a great review. It's a bit pricey but aren't healthy, organic foods anyways. Only negative thing place is busy, small and wait line can be long for groups. I was by myself for was seated quick by the bar sitting. I added myself to the Yelp waitlist before we got here and got seated right away. There were people waiting in the entry way to be seated so I was glad to use that feature. Our food was amazing we both got specials, the Vanilla Chai Latte pancakes and Steak & Egg Hash. We did have to wait a bit for our food to come out but it was worth it!! The pancakes weren't too sweet and came with bananas and raspberries on top YUM! And the steak was so tender and flavorful. I've been here twice and both experiences were just Meh... The prices are pretty high, like I got an omelet and coffee and it was $15. And everything on the menu sounds good but I wasn't blown away by any of the food I've tasted there. The eggs in my veggie omelet were overcooked and the vegetables were just on the inside, not incorporated into the omelet like I prefer it (that's just my taste though!) My friend said her avocado toast was just meh too. Also! My toast wasn't browned! It tasted pretty much like bread! The thing that makes toast TOAST is the browned part caused by the mailard reaction and the fact that it wasn't there annoyed me! Plus I didn't even get fresh jam, it was packaged. And just one package too, which doesn't cover the whole piece! I don't know, it just wasn't doing it for me. I do have to say that I appreciate the music, the vibe, and that they don't make you pay extra for subbing gluten free toast or egg whites. Service was just okay. She didn't ask if we needed anything until everyone was at least halfway through the meal. And she said her name to us three times. I don't think she was paying much attention. I don't hate the place but I won't be back intentionally. There's much better places in FW! Try snooze for something similar but executed better, or yogis, or Vickery cafe. This place has one of the best brunches I have ever had. Everything is freshly made. The menu had something for everyone. My mother who is a very picky eater enjoyed her meal (sigh of relief). As far as Brunch and Breakfast goes this place is my favorite in the area and people have certainly caught on. Be sure to use the Yelp feature to be added to the waitlist if you are going on a Saturday or Sunday. As you wait, you can help yourself to FREE coffee or cucumber water. The location is great, plenty of parking. The interior is minimal and well-kept. Love the repurposed wood, milk crates, and other decor. I've ordered several items and never been disappointed. Food always comes out hot and presentation is spot on. Everything tastes fresh. The Skillet Hash-Market is my favorite. Comes with a side of fruit and toast with strawberry jam.
