Went here for my free bday breakfast on Sunday around 1000 and got right in. There is a join the waitlist online but you still have to check in at the hostess desk when you get there. There is a ton of outdoor eating space as well. The service and food was fantastic. We love coming to first watch.

First Watch is a place to get a decent breakfast. I've never tried anything other than breakfast so I'm not sure how the other meals are. Service is always fast and the restaurant has a lot of seating. They have a good amount of options.

Went to a nearby estate sale and needed food! Stopped in here because there's usually a new menu item I can try. Sure enough there was a new seasonal menu with quite a few new entrees. No wait and we were seated right away. Our waitress came over minutes later to take our drink order and shortly after our entree order. While waiting for our food it was awfully cold. Luckily my friend had a jacket for me to borrow. Also it's usually packed so the noise level is quite loud. Today I went with the honey chicken chipotle bowl. Eggs prepared over easy and it all came out just right! Full of flavor and the slightest hint of spice. First Watch is always a good decision!

Sat at the bar and had a great experience! The bartender was super attentive and provided excellent service throughout my visit. The food was fresh and tasty, and everything came out quickly. My only wish is that they offered a few more coffee drink options besides regular coffee -- that would make the experience even better. Overall, a great spot for breakfast or brunch! Tip, add your name to the wait list ahead of time as the wait can be long depending on your party size. Place is loud as it's always packed, but worth the wait and ambiance.

Another great visit with the family! Very nice & efficient service. Always relaxing atmosphere. Kids menu is a great option and portion. Love the lemon ricotta pancake with my Tri-fecta plate; chicken sausage was very tasty and eggs were good quality. The steak omelette special with potatoes and spinach was amazingly delicious and a large portion with fried egg. The best coffee in town; medium roast yum. The eggs, bacon, with sourdough bread & fruit cup was perfect for our 7 y/o. Will definitely be back to our bfast & brunch spot!

There's nothing better than a First Watch Avocado Toast. Always been my favorite. Million dollar bacon is a must. I can't recall the girls name but we had her twice and she was on top of all the requests. I still miss Becky but she's moved on. Place is always busy and rustling. Not loud but don't go for a quiet breakfast.

On my first visit, I came with a friend, and our server was fantastic. She was friendly, personable, and attentive, providing excellent customer service (I wish I had caught her name, but she mentioned she enjoys anime after she complimented my baby's Akatsuki bib). I tried The Works Omelet paired with a Pineapple Express, and it was quite tasty, especially with some Cholula sauce. My friend, who had been there before, ordered a frittata and coffee, both of which she enjoyed. During my latest visit on May 21, 2025, the staff was just as welcoming, seating me at a table while I waited instead of making me sit on the bench by the front desk, which I appreciated since many places require you to wait until your whole party arrives. My friend stuck with her usual order and loved it, along with her coffee. I went for the same choices again--the Works omelet and Pineapple Express. The omelet was delicious, and the Pineapple Express was just as refreshing as I remembered. This really highlights their consistency in food and drinks. Our server was friendly. If you haven't had the chance to dine here yet, I highly recommend it. They offer fantastic food and outstanding customer service.

First of all, the place is attractive and clean! The clientele is as well! This is in kind of a high-end neighborhood, so submitted by country clubs, and million-dollar homes. Isn't the historic Camp Bowie Boulevard corridor, and there is plenty of parking absolutely free. If you like a really great fulfilling breakfast with healthy choices, this is your place! The waiters and waitresses are on top of your needs, and there's a fresh pot of coffee set on your table in the morning, big enuf that you don't need to ask for refills! The pricing is a little bit above the waffle house down the street, but the quality in the ambience is many many many times better. All I can say is l: no matter how you order your breakfast, it is going to be well done! In the best sense!

Had such a great meal here. I ordered the kale tonic. It was very tart and I mean that in the best way. The carne asada tacos were very good. For my real entree I had the double bacon Parmesan hash. Now this comes with a LOT of arugula, which I hate. However, the hash was really good once I picked all of that off. I'd definitely come again and try more things

Great breakfast as always. Wife had the Farmer's Skillet and I had the Rustic Frittata with a side of potatoes. Both meals were great and we plenty of leftovers for tomorrow's breakfast. Our server was Sydney and she was excellent. Pleasant and helpful. We look forward to our next visit to First Watch.

Decent breakfast place. Downside is that it's always extremely hard to be seated during weekends because they are always so busy. It took our waitress forever to get to us once we were seated. I ordered a drink that came when my meal did almost 30 minutes later. Then, when I wanted a second, that wasn't an option because she came back with the check already. I also asked for no onions but there were onions. When I told the waitress about it, she said onions are mixed in with the potatoes and she had forgotten to tell me when I ordered and asked for none. She did however compensate me with a free blueberry muffin but she said taking it off the bill or replacing it for free was not an option. Parking is terrible in the area. There are too many businesses around and it's overcrowded. I had to park about 3 businesses down because there is never parking in the front since they are so busy.

Carrot cake pecan pancakes ..why does it have bananas

I usually don't leave reviews, but after the last 3 visits I have to say something. Every single time I've ordered pancakes here, something has been baked into them that absolutely should NOT be there. I'm not talking about toppings--I mean random, unwanted stuff inside the batter itself. The first time I let it slide. The second time, I was already questioning things. But the THIRD time?? At that point it's clearly not a one-off mistake--it's a consistency problem, and not in a good way. It honestly makes me question the kitchen standards and attention to detail. Pancakes are one of the most basic items on the menu, so if that's being messed up repeatedly, what else is going on back there? Really disappointing because I used to enjoy coming here, but after three bad experiences in a row, I won't be ordering pancakes again--and honestly, I'm reconsidering coming back at all.

We were seated immediately, but it did take quite some time to get our orders taken and get our food. The outside seating was really nice, as well. The pesto chicken power bowl was AMAZING. If I could get that every week, I definitely would. Overall, I would definitely come again, but maybe pick what you want on the way to the restaurant to save some time.

The layout is great and works well for groups of different sizes. The service was excellent. I wish I could remember the bartender's name. He mentioned he was new, but you never would have guessed it. He was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and took great care of the couples sitting at the bar. To share, we ordered the crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks and the cheese curds. Both were delicious and perfect for sharing. I also appreciated that the background music wasn't too loud, making it easy to have a conversation. The only downside came when the lights suddenly went out while we were eating. I jokingly asked if it was their way of signaling they were getting close to closing, but I was told the lights are on a timer that can't be adjusted. I understand some restaurants aim for a dim, moody atmosphere, but this doesn't seem like that kind of place. It got awkward pretty quickly, everyone around us started wondering if something was wrong or if we were supposed to leave. Also made me further think about the cleanliness of the restaurant, if you can't up the lights after a certain time, that's before closing time- how do you ensure the restaurant is properly cleaned at the end of each day? Again, made the night odd and we left as soon as we finished what we already had instead of ordering anything else. Good to see City Works still here as quite a few spots are closing in Clearfork area. Wouldn't rush back but I do recommend.

We also ordered a mimosa carafe for $35, with mimosas 11+ a glass it just seemed to be the better option. My family ordered salads, some pancakes, a club sandwich, and I went bold with the million dollar breakfast sandwich (I too deserve nice things). Our waitress didn't seem to notice or care that I was just sitting there without a plate. When I asked the runners about my plate, they said they'd let our server know since it wasn't on their ticket. That's okay, I get it. It happens! We all forget a thing or two. So I waited til I could locate our server to ask her if she entered it. It took our server a solid 15 minutes to make her way back to us, at which point I asked her for the sandwich I'd ordered a while ago. She did not seem moved by my plight and wandered off to, presumably, locate it. She was so sweet and actually went to the kitchen and marked the menu pointing out lard-free menu choices. On the menu. Using black ink dots. Above and beyond. So we regrouped our breakfast plans and went mainly vegetarian. The Herbivore was absolutely delicious! Antebellum cheese grits topped with garlicky kale, romanesco and a soft boiled egg. We added a second egg. Split with my hubby. So good!! My sister-in-law had the brioche French toast. French toast topped with honey better, fresh berries and pecan granola. Served with maple syrup. Amazing! Added the duck fat breakfast potatoes. Who knew that the flavor would be so enhanced with the onions, peppers and duck fat. Get this side! Not a coffee drinker, but my hubby really enjoyed the coffee that is sourced from Cusco, Peru. Adriana made sure that the cups were always full and hot. We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.
