Finally visited First Watch in Fort Worth, and it was SO worth the wait. Highly recommend for four reasons: (1) food is stupendous - delicious flavors, fresh ingredients, options for everyone (vegetarians, protein-lovers, kids...), and nothing can beat high-quality breakfast/brunch dishes!; (2) service - staff is attentive/quick and very friendly; (3) vibe - decor is warm with tons of windows/sunlight, with available seating of indoor and outside as booths or tables or one high-top; (4) location - off Camp Bowie with plenty of parking shared with the many nearby shops. Definitely will be returning with family/friends. First Watch has been on Camp Bowie for awhile now. I've never had an interest until elite Yelper, Mike suggested this. I'm so glad he did, it was exquisitely great! The restaurant is cute, cozy, modern and has quick service! There was some sort of a hiccup. The power went out and it delayed their opening. They opened at noon and they had a good crowd waiting for them to open. Employees we're dressed in Black tees, jeans and a mask. I ordered a BLT for $9.99. It was really fresh! Bread was hearty, sweet and fulfilling. It was filled with long crispy Bacon Strips and lettuce and Mayo. It was the perfect combination even without any tomatoes or pickles. I sampled the Million Dollar Bacon and after tasting it, I felt like a Million Dollars! Bacon Strips were almost as large as the plate! It was crispy, spicy and topped with sweet Syrup. OK, let's just say it. Going out for brunch on a Sunday without a reservation in the metroplex is a challenge. And that's putting it lightly. We tried going to the press club. They had an hour wait so we went over here to First Watch and they only had a 20 minute wait, but then people started pouring in and we noticed so many people were getting sat before us while they had call ahead seating, which caused a big bottle neck.. and a lot of people were miffed. But at the end of the bar in the front two seats opened up and we grabbed them. And we had the best seats in the house from where I sat against the wall at the end of the bar I could see the entire place. The bartender was a delight. We got our food fast. We were done eating before most of the other people had been sat. It was delicious and we had a great time. When you go out to eat, just be adaptable you'll have a much better time. read more

Was looking for an inexpensive brunch spot and First Watch was exactly what I was hoping for! We came at noon on a Saturday and did have a brief wait (~5-10 minutes). Our waiter was very attentive, super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I got the Parma skillet hash for about $12, and was very satisfied with the quality of the food. Eggs were made to perfection, and the hash itself was well seasoned - not too salty, not too greasy. Fruit was a nice touch! My friend got the smoked salmon frittata, and he liked it a lot. Both our plates came out relatively quickly despite First Watch being busy at noon. Everything tasted fresh and had that "homemade" quality. Typically I'm not a fan of brunch places since I'm not much of a breakfast food person, but First Watch definitely nailed the quality of food with solid prices. I've been wanting to check this brunch place out for awhile now so when Elite yelper Melissa V and I had to change our plans to try chicken salad chick on account of them being closed on Sunday's we ended up here. Well i definitely was not disappointed in our backup plan! I ordered the Elevated egg sandwich which comes with Egg, bacon, crushed avocado, and arugula on a brioche bun, it was delicious It came with fried potatoes that were also yummy. I also ordered the "Million dollar Bacon" it was really good too, brown sugar, cayenne pepper and maple syrup cooked perfectly. The decor is modern rustic and they also have a nice patio area to enjoy on a nice day, the service was good and quick. Food is great and service is pretty good. Commenting in hopes management will rethink their reservation process. Having online reservations available for a breakfast/brunch restaurant is not a good idea. You're limiting your ability to serve customers that walk up and your customers who have booked online. Online reservations make sense for dinner restaurants as they do not see a large amount of walk up customers. Again good food but reservation platform is degrading service. read more

I've actually been here a couple of times, but am somehow just now writing a review. This was not my first rodeo Service here has always been good and the food is good. I've never had to wait to be seated or had a bad experience with staff. The hostess was nice and our waitress was polite. I started with the kale tonic fresh juice and the hubby got the golden glow drink on the seasonal menu. After tasting his drink, I wish I had gone with that one. The kale tonic is on the sweet side, but the golden glow (pineapple, turmeric, OJ, coconut water, and lemon juice) is perfectly balanced. Our meals consisted of Shrimp & Grits and the Loaded Smoked Salmon Bagel - both items are on the Spring seasonal menu. They were both good, not the best we've ever had, but solid flavor in both dishes. The cheese grits were the star of the shrimp & grits. They tasted homemade. The shrimp were plentiful, but lacked flavor. The dish needed some extra seasonings to ramp up the flavor. The house made pickled onions were the star of the smoked salmon bagel. I would buy a jar of their pickled onions if they sold them. The bagel was bakery fresh. Patrons were spaced a table apart from each other and all staff wore masks. As soon as customers left, a staff member immediately began cleaning the empty table. We dined around 11AM on a weekday and they were pretty slow. I saw a lot of customers doing pick up orders, but not many sit down customers. That part was nice. I'm actually enjoying that restaurants are still a little quiet (for now). The restaurant is in a strip mall, so there is no shortage of free parking. Prices are reasonable and dish sizes are sure to fill. This is a nice laid back, lunch, brunch spot. read more

They Need Help Eggs undercooked, whites were runny, clear. Sausage gravy, had no sausage and it was cold. Both breakfasts should have been sent back but we never saw our server after we ordered. The restaurant temperature was 65 and the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other. After waiting for our check we went to pay and we were asked if we had paid online. She was clueless how to accept our payment. There was one other customer when we left, so the problems weren't because they were busy. This is not the standard for First Watch. Beside the long wait time on the weekends I love this place!! I ordered their salmon egg Benedict on their grain toast (which is to die for), and it was amazing!!! Very fresh smoked wild salmon, and eggs were perfectly poached, I added avocados and everything was superb!!! My friend ordered the breakfast hash, she was not happy with hers the bacon was not crispy and the grapes in her fruits were not fresh, but mine was great Oh and we ordered a one biscuit and gravey order!!! We have been to this restaurant at least two dozen times, and we'll go every single chance we can get away in the morning. They're only open from early a.m. until 2 PM so a true coffee and brunch house. Definitely go to their website and put yourself on the sign in weight page or else you might go and wait up to two hours. Yes, it's that good. They are very cognizant of my celiac disease and, I don't have to pay extra for my slice of gluten-free toast. The only place I've ever been where this has happened. Oo! I'm not really a huge breakfast lover. I mean breakfast is solid, but this just isn't the meal of choice for me when I'm dining out. I figure I can make most breakfast dishes at home. We easily got a table to fit us and they had a high chair for the baby. Everyone was really excited by the menu options. They had both breakfast items and lunch items. First Watch is a breakfast-first spot, meaning breakfast isn't an afterthought here. They are only open until 2 pm! TIP: Be sure to look for the specials. They are top notch. My husband and I shared the Hacienda Hash which features fresh seasoned potato, chorizo and red pepper hash topped with two basted cage-free eggs, Cheddar, Monterey Jack, chipotle ketchup, sour cream, fresh smashed avocado and cilantro. We also shared the Chickichanga which has whipped eggs with spicy all-natural white-meat chicken, chorizo sausage, green chilies, Cheddar and Monterey Jack, onions and avocado rolled in a flour tortilla, topped with Vera Cruz sauce and sour cream. It's served with fresh fruit and fresh, seasoned potatoes. Both of these dishes were awesome, but my favorite was the hacienda hash which made me almost regret agreeing to share, except that the Chickichanga was good too. We also got a side of the Millionaire's Bacon for the table. There's 4 pieces to an order and there were 5 of us, so we cut them in half. They were good, but a little too sweet for me. It was fine by me that we were sharing as even just 2 pieces would have been too much, let alone 4. I wouldn't order this again. I had never heard of this restaurant, but just now browsing online about it, apparently it's a chain with 200 locations in 26 states. There's not one anywhere near me, so I wasn't familiar with it. I had a side of bacon, which was delicious as well, and I had a bite of my friends waffle. The waffle was super fluffly and reminded me of a pillow, which is what I would imagine a perfect waffle would taste like. My friend was very impressed by the waffle as well, and said it was the best that she's had! The menu was a healthier menu, and you could tell the ingredients were super fresh. There was a drink menu, so the college came out of me, expecting alcohol galore. Unfortunately this place didn't have any alcoholic beverages on their drink menu, but maybe my friend and I are just alcoholics and shouldn't expect a nice breakfast establishment to serve alcohol..... We visited First Watch on a Tuesday for brunch. The women's bathroom was absolutely atrocious, worst I've seen in years. The food was alright. They did not bring out our entire order and when the potatoes came they were not fully cooked. Coffee was not strong enough. The million dollar bacon and waffle were both good if you like sweets. When we wanted to pay, we had to wait in a long line of people at the host's station near the front door. I'm not sure what the hype is about... we will not return. The selection of food is impressive, and they are all organic and fresh sourced that makes it a nice thing to see at a restaurant. We have been pleased with both the food and drinks that we have had there, and we tried different things in both trips. The only two complaints we have, and neither is a bit deal, are: 1. We wish it was open for dinner, but that's just not the aim of the restaurant. 2. They do not always bring you the water and coffee at the beginning that you are supposed to. It seemed to vary by waitstaff, because as we looked around, we saw some that got those automatically and others who did not. Solid place for brunch. I enjoy the eggs bennedict. It's a solid benny with good flavors. I normally order it with cheesy grits. The cheesy grits are pretty good a little runny for me but still decent. The million dollar bacon is phenomenal! I love that stuff. My husband has typically ordered the trifecta. The food always comes out tasting good, but theres never a lot of eggs. Today I also had the spiced chai cider and ot was definitely a good treat to enjoy. I like that they leave you with a carafe of water and pot if coffee at your table ready to refill your own cups so your not waiting for a waitress.Overall a good solid brunch place.
