First Watch is a rustic breakfast and lunch spot. This was my first time dining at this location and we were seated without a wait. Or waitress Kimberly gave us some great recommendations and excellent service. I enjoyed the Trifecta breakfast combo- which included carrot cake pecan pancake, chicken sausage and I subbed the eggs for grits. The chicken sausage really stood out to me- it was fresh, well seasoned and tender. Also the grits were the perfect texture and loaded with butter. The carrot cake pancake, wasn't bad, it just didn't give me a carrot cake taste I was expecting. Also the pancake had a lot of raisins- I didn't understand this recipe in comparison with the name. Overall good experience and meal.

Went here for my free bday breakfast on Sunday around 1000 and got right in. There is a join the waitlist online but you still have to check in at the hostess desk when you get there. There is a ton of outdoor eating space as well. The service and food was fantastic. We love coming to first watch.

First Watch is a place to get a decent breakfast. I've never tried anything other than breakfast so I'm not sure how the other meals are. Service is always fast and the restaurant has a lot of seating. They have a good amount of options.

Went to a nearby estate sale and needed food! Stopped in here because there's usually a new menu item I can try. Sure enough there was a new seasonal menu with quite a few new entrees. No wait and we were seated right away. Our waitress came over minutes later to take our drink order and shortly after our entree order. While waiting for our food it was awfully cold. Luckily my friend had a jacket for me to borrow. Also it's usually packed so the noise level is quite loud. Today I went with the honey chicken chipotle bowl. Eggs prepared over easy and it all came out just right! Full of flavor and the slightest hint of spice. First Watch is always a good decision!

Sat at the bar and had a great experience! The bartender was super attentive and provided excellent service throughout my visit. The food was fresh and tasty, and everything came out quickly. My only wish is that they offered a few more coffee drink options besides regular coffee -- that would make the experience even better. Overall, a great spot for breakfast or brunch! Tip, add your name to the wait list ahead of time as the wait can be long depending on your party size. Place is loud as it's always packed, but worth the wait and ambiance.

Another great visit with the family! Very nice & efficient service. Always relaxing atmosphere. Kids menu is a great option and portion. Love the lemon ricotta pancake with my Tri-fecta plate; chicken sausage was very tasty and eggs were good quality. The steak omelette special with potatoes and spinach was amazingly delicious and a large portion with fried egg. The best coffee in town; medium roast yum. The eggs, bacon, with sourdough bread & fruit cup was perfect for our 7 y/o. Will definitely be back to our bfast & brunch spot!

There's nothing better than a First Watch Avocado Toast. Always been my favorite. Million dollar bacon is a must. I can't recall the girls name but we had her twice and she was on top of all the requests. I still miss Becky but she's moved on. Place is always busy and rustling. Not loud but don't go for a quiet breakfast.

On my first visit, I came with a friend, and our server was fantastic. She was friendly, personable, and attentive, providing excellent customer service (I wish I had caught her name, but she mentioned she enjoys anime after she complimented my baby's Akatsuki bib). I tried The Works Omelet paired with a Pineapple Express, and it was quite tasty, especially with some Cholula sauce. My friend, who had been there before, ordered a frittata and coffee, both of which she enjoyed. During my latest visit on May 21, 2025, the staff was just as welcoming, seating me at a table while I waited instead of making me sit on the bench by the front desk, which I appreciated since many places require you to wait until your whole party arrives. My friend stuck with her usual order and loved it, along with her coffee. I went for the same choices again--the Works omelet and Pineapple Express. The omelet was delicious, and the Pineapple Express was just as refreshing as I remembered. This really highlights their consistency in food and drinks. Our server was friendly. If you haven't had the chance to dine here yet, I highly recommend it. They offer fantastic food and outstanding customer service.

Had such a great meal here. I ordered the kale tonic. It was very tart and I mean that in the best way. The carne asada tacos were very good. For my real entree I had the double bacon Parmesan hash. Now this comes with a LOT of arugula, which I hate. However, the hash was really good once I picked all of that off. I'd definitely come again and try more things

Great breakfast as always. Wife had the Farmer's Skillet and I had the Rustic Frittata with a side of potatoes. Both meals were great and we plenty of leftovers for tomorrow's breakfast. Our server was Sydney and she was excellent. Pleasant and helpful. We look forward to our next visit to First Watch.

Decent breakfast place. Downside is that it's always extremely hard to be seated during weekends because they are always so busy. It took our waitress forever to get to us once we were seated. I ordered a drink that came when my meal did almost 30 minutes later. Then, when I wanted a second, that wasn't an option because she came back with the check already. I also asked for no onions but there were onions. When I told the waitress about it, she said onions are mixed in with the potatoes and she had forgotten to tell me when I ordered and asked for none. She did however compensate me with a free blueberry muffin but she said taking it off the bill or replacing it for free was not an option. Parking is terrible in the area. There are too many businesses around and it's overcrowded. I had to park about 3 businesses down because there is never parking in the front since they are so busy.

Carrot cake pecan pancakes ..why does it have bananas

I usually don't leave reviews, but after the last 3 visits I have to say something. Every single time I've ordered pancakes here, something has been baked into them that absolutely should NOT be there. I'm not talking about toppings--I mean random, unwanted stuff inside the batter itself. The first time I let it slide. The second time, I was already questioning things. But the THIRD time?? At that point it's clearly not a one-off mistake--it's a consistency problem, and not in a good way. It honestly makes me question the kitchen standards and attention to detail. Pancakes are one of the most basic items on the menu, so if that's being messed up repeatedly, what else is going on back there? Really disappointing because I used to enjoy coming here, but after three bad experiences in a row, I won't be ordering pancakes again--and honestly, I'm reconsidering coming back at all.

We were seated immediately, but it did take quite some time to get our orders taken and get our food. The outside seating was really nice, as well. The pesto chicken power bowl was AMAZING. If I could get that every week, I definitely would. Overall, I would definitely come again, but maybe pick what you want on the way to the restaurant to save some time.

I'm not sure if they just changed suppliers or not but things have gotten smaller / worse quality while the price has gone up for what arguably is standard breakfast fare. Case in point: the Chicken or Egg Sandwich. Used to be my go to, but after having it recently again after not coming for quite some time it was a disappointment. The chicken cutlet used was thin compared to the thick fried version it had before, everything was a bit beige, and a rather small serving of hash browns accompanied it. I had a standard black coffee alongside it which tasted a bit watered down and my partner has commented that the speciality coffees are not as good as they used to be. Other new additions to the menu aren't exactly what you would expect, for example the Monte Cristo is more a deconstructed version of the Bennigan's classic but it's not obvious unless your waiter tells you. The price is typical of downtown but the food doesn't rise to the occasion and the value proposition for me isn't enough to come back unless something changes. Thats not to say the food is all bad, but seeing what it was prior to their menu change, it's just uninspiring for the price. The service however has remained top tier and every time I have gone I've had fantastic service regardless of if it's a Sunday morning with a hour long wait or a quiet weekday lunch.

The only downside was a strange smell like old mop water that permeated the entrance and the seats near it. We had to ask to move seats. The table we were then moved to was crammed against the front wall crooked for some reason. Otherwise, the food was on point and delicious.

While it was a lovely experience in a stunning environment, it fell a bit short of the high bar you'd expect for a $95/pp tea service. The Good: First and foremost, the environment is absolutely beautiful. The Bowie House, Bricks & Horses restaurant, and the Mulberry Room itself are gorgeously decorated with a sophisticated Texas Western theme. The atmosphere in the Mulberry library is intimate and visually striking. Additionally, the service was excellent from start to finish, being both attentive and professional. The food portions are quite generous, with both the savories and sweets served together on a single tower. The sweets were the highlight of the food, as they were very delicious and surprisingly large. We also really enjoyed the tea selections themselves, particularly the Earl Grey and the plum rooibos. The Letdowns: Unfortunately, a few details missed the mark, especially considering the premium price point: - The "Champagne": The experience is advertised as including a glass of Champagne, but we were actually served Prosecco. At nearly $100 a person, substituting Prosecco for real Champagne or Cremant is a major disappointment. - The Tea Service: Instead of receiving a teapot to enjoy throughout the afternoon, the tea is steeped directly in the cup. This limits you to a single cup per tea variety, though to be fair, I didn't ask if refills were an option. - Food Refinement: While the portions were large and the savories were tasty, they lacked the elegance of a traditional tea. Every savory option was open-faced and heavily blanketed in microgreens and edible flowers, which felt a bit unrefined. - Comfort & Conversation: The Mulberry library features low couches, deep chairs, and coffee tables. While this setup would be absolutely perfect for relaxing with a glass of whiskey, it makes leaning over to eat finger foods highly uncomfortable. Furthermore, the seating layout isn't ideal for holding a natural conversation with the people in your party. Overall: It is a nice experience in a breathtaking Fort Worth hotel, but I'm not sure I would return. If the price point were lower, the execution would make more sense. However, given the other highly refined afternoon tea options available across DFW for less money, this one doesn't quite live up to its price tag.

My daughter got a cinnamon roll and it tasted like the pan they didn't clean well enough when cooking it. I mentioned it. Nothing done. Don't expect this place to be a nice place. Want a southern Louisiana breakfast in Fort Worth? Check out Fixe Southern House in ClearFork…read more Sunday brunch was so nice. Went for the biscuits, but our very wise waitress, Adriana, warned us that the biscuits were made with lard. Well that knocked out a bunch or breakfast options. She was so sweet and actually went to the kitchen and marked the menu pointing out lard-free menu choices. On the menu. Using black ink dots. Above and beyond. So we regrouped our breakfast plans and went mainly vegetarian. The Herbivore was absolutely delicious! Antebellum cheese grits topped with garlicky kale, romanesco and a soft boiled egg. We added a second egg. Split with my hubby. So good!! My sister-in-law had the brioche French toast. French toast topped with honey better, fresh berries and pecan granola. Served with maple syrup. Amazing! Added the duck fat breakfast potatoes. Who knew that the flavor would be so enhanced with the onions, peppers and duck fat. Get this side! Not a coffee drinker, but my hubby really enjoyed the coffee that is sourced from Cusco, Peru. Adriana made sure that the cups were always full and hot. Thank you for the VIP service at Fixe Southern House. Resident discount applied. Born from Opelousas, Louisiana, breakfast served with a huge helping of southern hospitality. We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.

However the bathroom sinks may just be an elaborate prank pulled on every guest of this hotel. There are many photos already on here, but the pictures don't do it justice. The sink is approximately 7" x 12", and has a mirror jutting out over a portion of it, leaving you with roughly 4-5" of functional sink space. This will be the smallest sink you've ever used in your life (and I've spent lots of time in NYC and Chicago, where I've used some very small sinks). Need to wash your hands? You're getting water on your feet. Shave? Better wear a bathing suit. Wash your face? A wetsuit is recommended. Accidentally turn the water on too high when doing any of the above? Bet you didn't know you were about to take a full shower! I'm not sure the building codes in Dallas, but apparently you can get away with installing dollhouse fixtures here. Choose another property just simply so you don't have to deal with the hassle.

Overall the room was very nice.. I was surprised by the complete cement room but shockingly it was perfect, the bed is comfortable however the pillows are very big. My neck does not do well with thick pillows and these were very thick. The bar was mediocre and the bar tender struggled to keep up with customers and wasn't very friendly. Overall it was a good hotel and a fun experience.
