If you support local business and those who buy locally then you need to stop by. The menu focuses on breakfast so you should stop for breakfast or brunch. There are 8 sandwiches on the menu and you can add seasoned potatoes for $2.99. It's clean and bright and most tables seat 4. I ordered the pick 2 which was only $7.79 for 1/2 sandwich and salad. The rating should really be closer to 3.5 but it doesn't get a 4 star simply because the portion size to cost factor isn't up to par with other 4 star places I've been to. I had the barbacoa Benedict and my gf had the avocado toast. Let's take a step back. The place is nice, clean, open. Feels like a real kitchen that uses fresh ingredients. The biggest reason I knew this was that they literally have the word fresh written on everything. Even the wall has it written in large print. ok already! I get it, it's fresh. They have interesting drink combos (fresh ... of course, juices and culinary drink blends) I didn't try any of them. The server was quick and good, she was friendly. Food came fast. Price was around $10-12 a person. The barbacoa Benedict was tasty but not worth the price. Beef was tender and had a good flavor, but it was such a small portion, maybe a tacos worth of meat, on a bread, smaller than half of an Italian roll. Then some mixed greens which were...yea I'm not even gonna say it haha ...fresh But honestly it was like any other mixed greens, nothing special. And that was the meal. It was small and I was still very hungry when I was done. I wouldn't order it again. My gf did like the avocado toast but she wasn't feeling well and didn't want to finish her meal so I finished it off for her and i can say that the sandwich was on very soft buttery bun that was good, bacon was legit, her meal came with potatoes and was much heartier. Either way we kind of both agreed that it didn't compete with other places we had been to for around the same price. It's tasty food, maybe we will give another location a shot. read more

I do not know what's going on with this location but we just experienced the biggest buzzkill. We were all set out to enjoy an early morning breakfast and headed to First Watch which we've considered really reliably great - we've been to a number of their locations across the country. Man the wheels totally fell off today. The power bowl was desperately in need of a sauce or a dressing - instead there was a huge heap of just quinoa and few vegetables or legumes... just an egg.. BORRRRING My kale and mozzarella frittata looked so promising but after a few bites I realized it was true: I was eating GRIT. The crunch and mouthfeel was sandlike and it was clear - they neglected to properly wash their kale. When the waitress brought back another one after I had notified her of the problem, SAME. So. Much. Grit!! They clearly weren't taking me seriously, so I gave up, went home, and made my own dirt-free eggs. 2 stars for having a normally good product and they did serve us some killer beet-turmeric-pineapple juices, but First Watch Ft Myers needs to WATCH their kale cleaning more closely!! read more

Found this spot while looking for breakfast/brunch. Found this spot while scanning the area. The location is good in the shopping center that it's in. Once inside the decor is pretty cool too. We got seated and and looked through the menu. I guess our server was either too busy or not found. Luckily another server stepped in and helped us out and even explained that she would cover down in the meantime. I had the Farmhouse hash and almost ordered a waffle until I found out how big they are. The farmhouse hash is pretty good, different hash than I expected but still good overall. My first few visits were lovely, but like any love affair, the flaws began to surface. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and attentive. The coffee is not the best, for me. It is ok if you appreciate acidic, lightly flavored roasts. The choices are refreshing for the average Ft Myers breakfasts. Nothing is super expensive or terribly complicated so a nice stop if looking for something not so fancy but quality fare. Don't order the potatoes though... you will receive a large mountain of dry, flavorless, cubes. Go with an english muffin but eat it quickly, before it hardens into coasters. First Watch is by far one of my favorite breakfast places ever!! As a NY/NJ girl that grew up around diners constantly, this is a great alternative to regular ole diner food! My parents used to have a condo in Ft. Myers so we used to get here when we could and unfortunately that's not too often anymore. Just got back from a trip to the Ft. Myers area with my boyfriend and the first thing we did when we got off the plane (had a 7am flight from JFK, yikes!) was go to first watch. I had to let him try the same yummy food I've been talking about for so long and he loved it! I love that you can order breakfast or lunch anytime of day! The service is always great, friendly servers and very efficient - because it was his first time there, they gave him a complimentary fruit crepe which was a cute touch. Prices are great, definitely not too expensive and the wait is never that long - average age of patrons is about 70 :-) I had the Grilled Turkey sandwich, my first lunch item there and it was awesome! The turkey wasn't dry and the flavors with the bacon and cheese were nice. Diet friendly this is not, but hey, I was on vacation! I love the home fries here as they are always crunchy - I hate soggy icky home fries!! What I loved about this sandwich is it came with not only some fruit but also their little tomato cucumber salad which was very refreshing. The skillets are so terrible for your health but delicious and we had quite a few omelettes (egg whites bc I hate regular eggs) Bacado & Avocado Express are great. The coffee is very tasty and I love that you can get just one pancake when you get the pancake craving but know you could never eat a whole stack - Chocolate chip was standard good but cranberry nut was awesome. We had breakfast here around 9 am in May, so it wasn't very crowded - only local Floridians. We had an omelet and a crepe. Both came with home fries (ugh, not again!), an English Muffin slathered with butter and, of course the ingredients that we ordered for the omelet & crepe. A featured item in my omelet was to be chorizo sausage and I only saw one minuscule piece - SAY LAH VEE. I must say the service was outstanding, although the food itself was very ho hum. My father loves this joint and after his ravings, he brought me here and now I'm a fan myself! Service is friendly with servers who are clearly morning people (they open early so that makes sense). I like how they give you pitchers of water/coffee when you order any of those drinks; makes it convenient so you don't have to ask for any refills. It's also nice they keep the sweeteners, creams and condiments on the table so you don't have to ask for those as well. Food is delicious, unique and with character. Their omelettes, especially the works and the baconator are my favorite. Plus their fruit sides are fresh and refreshing. If breakfast isn't your thing, they have solid sandwiches and salads which can be entrees or a "pick 2" type of deal. Plus prices are very friendly on the wallet so you can enjoy a nice meal without breaking the bank. Overall a solid spot for brunch/breakfast or a light meal. Third visit to First Watch and each time the food has impressed us more and more. The decor is bright and inviting, the servers are always attentive, knowledgeable, and give good recommendations for substitutions or additions. The food is always fresh and offers a wide variety for all tastes. Today there was three of dining, needed 2 separate checks and there was no issue at all with this. We had The Works Omelette, The BLT Eggs Benedict (substituted the regular bacon for the Millionaires Bacon for and extra $1.50 and it was sooooo worth it), and lastly the Trifecta of chocolate chip pancake, scrambled eggs and sausage. Everything was fabulous and perfectly prepared. Didn't reach 5 starts because the coffee could have been hotter for out taste. read more

Great find at First Watch! So refreshing to find a health conscious restaurant that offers a variety of breakfast and lunch choices. I was a there for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the Morning Market Veg Omelette. It was a very large omelette filled with diced zucchini, kale, chunks of cremini mushroom and goat cheese. Yummy. I usually avoid the typical bread choices that come with breakfasts, but I could not pass on their seeds bread. Fresh and soft with a great flavor that didn't leave me feeling like I had over-indulged or ballooned out! The preserves, also something I almost never eat, were light and not too sweet so it was a nice compliment to the delicious bread. And the small salad with a simple lemon and EVOO kept it light and refreshing beside the hefty omelette. Looking forward to going back to try another new favorite from their menu. read more

Coffee was good, and they give you your own carafe to refill :) Tried the juices (needed a vacation detox)- my boyfriend had the kale one, I had the carrot/orange/lemon/ginger. Ordered a side of the pancake and it's pretty good, better than most diner places imo. Always the best food, best wait staff. We stop whenever we can. The Morning Meditation is a great hangover cure. Eggs Benedict is always wonderful. The menu has a lot of choices that are a little different than other breakfast places - perhaps more healthy alternatives to the usual fried items at most breakfast / lunch establishments. Sometimes, there is a wait for tables, but once you get in the service is good and usually the orders are served promptly. Totally acceptable breakfast place. Only gets three instead of four because it's nothing you haven't seen before. They have a tiny seasonal menu that means they're trying, but the rest of their offerings are so generic that it could put foodies like me to sleep. Their iced coffee is like.. $4? Something like that. It comes pre-sweetened and doesn't include refills, and was like %70 ice. So when I was told my coffee party was about to end, I flat out took the CARAFE of coffee they left my dining partner and asked for some milk. I made my own, free of charge. And it was arguably better. That being said, service was great and the vibe was relaxing. Obviously full of locals just wanting to get some breakfast, coffee, and read the paper. I ordered ala carte (even though they don't really have a section of the menu for that) and they backed me up. I would go again, no problem. read more

I see why it was full of knucklehead floridians.( no out state license plates) On whole they have no idea of good food or getting your value. I was here at 1115 AM. I had to wait 5 minutes for a table. That's ok food must be great and value too...WRONG..... I did not realize that this was a HEALTHY food eatery.. MY mistake..I was SO wrong. I had to ask for plain white sugar for my coffee. It was given to me in a little side dish. :-( Only brown sugar on the table. I got the beefeater sandwich. Where is the beef?????? it was very thinly slice med rare BUT hardly any food for a real man to eat. It was good quality. BUT for 9 Bucks give me some food. The so called horseradish on side that SUCK. Creamy and NO FLAVOR..... NONE. There was a salad of sorts on my plate. Just some over price greens with a splash maybe balsamic dressing. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because 10% of the time when I order my eggs over medium, they still come out very runny, however I am able to send them back and they fix the problem. All of their staff is super friendly, very attentive and your food comes out pretty fast even when they are busy :) All of their breakfast is great. I'm a big fan of the bacon & onion hash! Their Italian Wedding soup is my FAVORITE! It's problem not made from scratch, but its super great. read more
