Very intuitive to the customer. We ate here for the first time on a weekday morning. Once our waiter found out this was our first time he then personally welcomed us, explained the menu in detail, and ensured we felt welcomed. We were seated where I could look directly into the kitchen and see the staff working. I noticed after ordering our ticket appeared to be fourth in line among the others. Everybody was busy and working in the kitchen, so after 20 minutes I did not think much about our food not being ready yet, as the Coronavirus situation is still going on so I realize it may take longer for food to be prepared. About this time our waiter came by to apologize for the long wait. Then the cook came over and explained the first try at making our food did not turn out the way they wanted and did not want to serve something subpar, so it was being remade as we spoke. I was extremely impressed the cook came out from a very busy kitchen to talk with us. The waiter gave us a discount for the food being a little late, which I did not really want or thought we deserved, however, he insisted. What I noticed above anything else is the culture of this restaurant is focused on the customer and their satisfaction. Additionally, the food was pretty good and filling as well. read more

Service was slow (got food 30 mins after being seated, had to wait 5 mins to get silverware after our food arrived to table) although friendly. I placed an online order for Avocado toast with well-done eggs. My order was not quite ready when I arrived (I was there 5 minutes before my set pick up time). Upon arrival I was asked by three different staff members how they could help. Everyone was super polite and helpful. When I received my order, the server wanted to make sure he explained how they cooked the eggs so that they were well done. The order was perfect, and the food tasted great! Just finished a weekday brunch and it was FANTASTIC! My husband got the Farmhouse Hash, my daughter got the Belgian waffle, and I got the Tri-fecta. The food was amazing, we ate it so quickly that I didn't get a picture. Service was great! The service was really poor, and the waitress was kind of rude to me. I had to wait a very long time for someone to take my order. It was quite a while before I even got water or coffee. I was seated at the community table. No one brought me a menu. I got my own menu. When the waitress brought my food, she forgot my silverware. She was gone, so I had to go to the cashier to get some silverware. They also messed up my order, I only got one pancake when I ordered two. The pancake I got looked like it had fallen on the floor. It looked rough around the edges. The waitress brought me my second pancake later. She asked the person next to me how her food tasted, and called her sweetheart. She did not ask me how my food was. A lady who came in after me received her bill, while I was still waiting on mine. I complained to the Manager before I left. He said that he would talk to the waitress. I felt like he should have done more. I didn't tip anything, after all of this. I almost never don't leave a tip. The service has to be really, exceptionally bad for me not to tip. read more

I was super excited to come here today. My friend was in town and wanted a good meal before she hit the road back to Atlanta. I told her First Watch was really good but can get super busy so I'll go ahead of you to get most of the waiting out of the way. I joined the waitlist at 10:49 and was told 45-1 hour wait. When I checked in at 11:09 I was told 45-50mins which I had already figured. I didn't get seated until speaking with Christian at 12:35. Once seated the waitress came and took our orders (super nice girl) however the food didn't come to the table until 1:40. Over an hr later and my lemon pancakes were cold. Super disappointing and embarrassing after I recommended the place to my friend and told her how good it was. Also she ordered the smoked salmon Benedict and the egg was not poached, it was simply fried and normally benefit comes on top a toasted English muffin and the piece of bread that was served was not an English muffin and was not toasted so it was a disappointing experience altogether. Christian discounted my meal and I only paid for my drink. But I wish the experience was better because I definitely hyped it and left with my face on the floor. read more

My brother and his wife were visiting for Thanksgiving, and we went here for breakfast the day before. We were all very disappointed. Our waitress took our order in a timely manner, but it went downhill from there. All of our food was brought at different times by various waitresses (but not ours). We had no silverware to eat with and had to ask for that. Then the young lady went up front to get it, then stopped to chat with someone while we watched her and waited. My husband asked several servers repeatedly for sugar free syrup, but he finally did get it. My brother had ordered a salmon omelet. The server who placed it in front of him said "veggie omelet" and my brother immediately stated what he had ordered. She said "they all look alike - it's salmon". There was no salmon in it. My potatoes were so cold I thought they were refrigerated. I asked a passing waitress to send our waitress. She came, and my brother pointed out his salmon-less omelet, requesting that he only be charged for a veggie one, and I asked for a hot serving of potatoes. The second time the potatoes were piping hot and very good. We all finished our meals at different times. The coffee was good, the waffle and pancakes were good, and my sandwich was quite tasty. Food is good, but there was a 35 minute wait while there were 8 tables available - I don't get it. Clean and ready the tables; then we waited 40 minutes for our food; then they screwed up the order. My gosh. Denny's food isn't as good, but their process is better. Maybe they will learn. I hope so. Good franchise, bad operator. This is not a good experience. And I see this occurrence at many FW around the country as they expand too fast. The manager at least saw the issue and presented me with a $20 bribe card. I left it on the table. Let me say I really love the menu, there's a wide variety of choices. However the food and service is off, so off I won't be returning. Yes it's busy, yes you have to wait, I'm ok with that. I'm not ok with how unprepared the kitchen and wait staff are. I've been 3 or 4 times and no improvement. They can't even prepare a simple egg correctly. The price for breakfast is on the high side so I expect it to be really good. I'm sorry to say its not even close. This was my first time at first watch. It started out as a bad experience. Some of our food was wrong. One of the people at my table did not receive her food until like 30 minutes after everyone else received the food. We asked the waitress about it, and she said she did not know where it was. What a bummer. First visit. Waited more than 30 minutes for a to-go order of avocado toast. $10.00. One piece of toast. (Wouldn't you expect two slices for that price?) It was cold and also soggy. A TON of avocado (enough for about four pieces of toast), HOWEVER, it was not freshly sliced avocado, but had obviously been pre-chopped and then soaked in lemon. The only flavor was lemon. Also made the toast soggy. I asked for my eggs cooked medium, but they also were runny. I honestly threw it away after a couple of bites. so very disappointing. read more

Excellent spot! The restaurant is gorgeous inside. I went with 5 other girlfriends; we were sat quickly, the service was phenomenal, and the food was delicious. The waiter was very helpful when it came to selecting the perfect dish. He was quick and friendly to our needy group. I got the superfood bowl along with a cold brew coffee. Now that I've eaten here the lines and wait are even more puzzling. I ordered online for a takeout breakfast last Saturday. A simple meal, omelet with a side of home fries, and supposedly fresh-squeezed orange juice. The kitchen staff are either poorly trained or just don't care. My omelet was supposed to include diced ham, sausage and mushrooms. Big chunks of meat from 1-2 inches long and entirely whole mushrooms were folded into a bland egg envelope. At least 50% of the homefries were burned black, inedible. The juice had no pulp at all. I was unaware an pulp-free fresh orange existed. I paid $22.00 for a mostly inedible meal that my dog enjoyed some of. Clearly Gboro needs more breakfast places. A waste of time and money. read more

Awful "service" given when I went with my friend the other day. Food was good but definitely overpriced and not worth being neglected by my server. Couldn't even ring up the write check for my friend and I. Not to mention she didn't check up on us, left us for over 50 minutes and I had to flag down a different person to ask where our food or server went. Also when it finally came out, given to us by a completely different sever, some of our order was missing... This being over an hour after sitting down. Two friends and I came today on our lunch hour and had a very bad experience. The food finally came out when we had been at our table for over an hour. We immediately asked for to go boxes, since we had no time to eat. My salad was still missing grilled chicken and had the wrong dressing and wasn't on the side. He brought to go boxes and didn't offer to fix the food that was incorrect. Just brought the check for $35.00. We didn't get to eat our meal and even after it was "fixed" it was missing several ingredients that were listed, including the meat. This is just not ok. The wait staff was most accommodating, and complied with requests for special preparation of food by my grandson. All food was tasty and delivered fairly quickly. Presentation was most pleasing, and the bread was very good, as were the pancakes. My only criticism was that the eggs were overcooked when I requested soft scrambled.
