Me and my son enjoy our food; however I would've gave it five points, but unfortunately my eggs came out not too done. Don't like sending anything back so I just didn't eat it. But other than that the food was good, As far as wait time, I would say you differently have to go early specifically if you plan on going during the weekend. It all depends on the day and the time. My first time at this site and it was outstanding. Ki, the Mgr and her team made my grandson fell special on his 14th birthday. Ki made small talk with him. Customer Service 101. Food ample and tasty. Presentation awesome. Attentiveness of server great, just the right amount. Birthday special honored without twisting any arms. My lovely wife and I walked along the Birkdale Greenway and enjoyed a crisp fall morning on our way to a delicious breakfast at the new First Watch location in Huntersville. It ended up being quite an exciting morning, as just after we got our food we heard a loud pop off in the distance and watched all the lights in the shopping center go out. We later discovered that a squirrel had knocked out power for 10,000 people in the area, but it could not knock out my lovely wife's enjoyment of her lemon ricotta pancakes. While she was feasting on carbs, I happily inhaled the bacado omelette and very tasty and thoroughly nutritious multi-grain toast. Even the greens (which I'm not typically a fan of) were very yummy! Service was excellent and we enjoyed it so much that we are currently sitting here for the second morning in a row! This will be a regular stop for us! Added bonus... I forgot my flashlight during visit #1, but they had it sanitized and ready for me in lost & found after the cooks used it to work through the power outage. As this was my first time trying FirstWatch I was ecstatic to try a new brunch location with very limited options in the area. We went for my friends birthday brunch and were greeted by our server Hannah. After she greeted us though that was about the last time we saw her for an hour. Once all of our glasses were empty and we were left with luke warm water, our food finally came out and some items were cold and not what we requested. After writing this off to a bad experience we went to pay and that's when the host and our server mouthed to each other "bad tip" right in front of our face. I would call that a deserved tip and I do not appreciate such poor service. Will be sticking to Sun Up Cafe from now on. read more

Really poor experience this morning. Waited 30 minutes for table (understandable) but once seated and order placed still didn't have our order after hour. I paid for our drinks and we left. The food on menu sounds good but unfortunately our service experience will keep us away from thus restaurant going forward. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I put my name in for 2 people at 11:22 for a 45-60 minute wait- no biggie, it's brunch and Huntersville so I expected a longer wait. I got there at 12:15 to check in and was told we had a 25-40 minute wait because of the other people ahead of us. Okay...that's annoying but fine, maybe the original estimate was wrong. They make sure to text to confirm we're on the wait list. We walk back to the car at the back of the parking lot to wait, at 12:43 I get a text that our table is almost ready. We start walking back and get a follow up text that they'll hold our table for 2 minutes. We get in, get seated, and at 12:51 our server passes the table saying he'll be with us shortly. At 12:53, he stops at our table to drop water glasses and a jug of water then walks away, not asking for our drink or food orders. At this point, I was extremely hungry and frustrated and we elected to leave. I asked the hostess to give away our table before we walked out. I will not return, I've genuinely never had worse service. read more

I visited this first watch for the first time about a week ago and I was overwhelmed with how great my service was! My waiter Hannah was incredible! I was stuck between some items and she gave me a great choice and she brought it out super quick! Lots of empty seating in restaurant and restroom needed attention - screamed short of help but here's the sad thing - my clean cut, well-spoken college sophomore (with Chick-fil-A experience)tried to get hired here and no call back. Our go to for delicious breakfast and brunch. So many other breakfast places have pretty plain Jane type menus. This has every type of dish you could ever want. Add in that the specials and it's well worth stopping by. This week I tried the croque madame special which was incredible! Also have had the frittata and salmon omelette in the past and both were also delicious. Service is slow so I don't recommend for a quick bite, but for a great meal- highly recommend. read more

My wife and I visited last year (2021) on Veterans Day where I enjoyed a free breakfast. As it turns out, it was one of the last times my wife and I went out before she passed. In her memory, I went back to First Watch today (Veterans Day, 2022). The meal was good. My server told me to make sure I get my Veterans discount when I check out. When I went to the register, a very RUDE young woman said to me, "we don't give any discounts to veterans!" Someone else intervened and gave me a 20% discount but I really didn't care. First Watch had become one of my favorite places but after today, I doubt that I'll go back. read more

The food is delicious but our experience with being seated was horrible. I understand wait times - expect them on a Sunday for breakfast. When checking in for 2 we were told there would be a 45 minute to an hour wait. Groups that arrived after us were repeatedly sat while we continued to wait. I was told this was because they wouldn't sit a party of 2 at a 4 top (seriously?). After an hour wait I overheard a lady say the big family style table was seat yourself - this same table had 5 open seats my entire wait and no one bothered to share was open seating despite my checking in on my wait time several times with the hostess. what could have been a pleasant experience turned into irritation as the hostess could have sat us immediately at the open table. The food is ok. I've eaten at other locations and it was what had us excited about this one opening in Birkdale. However each time we've been since it opened, we've been disappointed in some way. First it was the lack of cocktails while they waited for their liquor license. Then it was the service while they were struggling to attract/retain staff during COVID. This last episode is really the final straw however. We put our name in for the 45-60 minute wait. Arrived after 40 min and let the hostess know we were there and were told we were third in line. We waited 30 min and watched her seat 6 parties without calling our names, including a party of 2 (like us) that had not been on the wait list, who were seated outside without waiting even a minute. At that point I let the manager know we were leaving and what had happened. Her response was that they don't consider the outside seating as part of the waitlist queue! This would have been good information for the hostess to share immediately when we checked in! Disorganized and indifferent is the best I can say. If I could give this location less than 1 star I would. This was our first time eating at a First Watch and will probably be our last. Party of 2, weekday, not very busy, seated right away with menus but no eating utensils. No one came to take our drink order and my husband to search for our waitress. She brought coffee, didn't ask if we wanted waters and failed to bring utensils. I ended up having to find utensils, which were next to where the menus were, so not sure why they weren't brought together. Food was so-so. Although my avocado toast had a generous amount of avocado, it definitely wasn't worth $13. We saw our waitress only once immediately after getting our food and prior to our first bite to ask how our food was. Never saw our waitress again and had to ask the other customer's waitress for waters. We sat around after our meal with empty water glasses and still no waitress. We decided to just go to the cash register and ask to be checked out. The hostess asked for the bill and we told her our waitress never returned with one. She left, presumably to find our waitress, when another hostess came over and checked us out. The service equaled the condition of the women's bathroom. There was toilet paper all over the floor in one stall, the other stall's toilet paper wasn't on the holder (just left on a shelf), the walls of the stall partitions looked like they were wiped with a dirty rag and one side had what looked like some kind of liquid projectile left on it. Not a good first impression at all. Crappy service out weighed the over priced food. read more

Let me preface this by saying that I understand things are going to be slow for a Sunday Brunch in Huntersville but this was BAD. Checked in online at 10:00and was told 45 minute wait. Got to the restaurant and told it should be another 30 minutes. Finally seated at 11:15 and we ordered right away. By 12:00 nothing had come out, even as I watched other tables after us receive the Million Dollar bacon appetizer (which we also ordered) and then order and receive a second plate of the bacon. By 12:10 the server and the manager had both been over to apologize. 5 minutes later we received one adult breakfast and one of the pancakes for my young son but I had already gone and grabbed some of the groceries that we had in the car for my kids to eat (2 and 5 year olds). We waited until 12:30 and no other food came out. While I understand that things run slow, I have a difficult time believing they were understaffed based on all of the people I saw in the kitchen and all the other food coming out. We finally paid for the drinks and 1 meal by 12:40 and got ready to leave. Only then did two of the meals came out, which they very nicely boxed to go for us. Our server was very nice and this was definitely NOT her fault. This is an issue with the kitchen and the management, and unfortunately if this doesn't get fixed they will lose more customers than just us. read more

I would give this Restaurant a zero if I could. We were seated at a table that had food all around and underneath of the table area. We switched ourselves to one table over. When the waitress finally arrived about 10 minutes in to us sitting down, she said she didn't realize we were seated. We both ordered iced drinks which had a total of 4 ice cubes in them, so drink was lukewarm instead of cold. When our orders arrived my husband's scrambled eggs had big chunks of white showing in them and were not cooked all the way through and his toast was not even toasted. I also asked for a refill when our food arrived and received none, without me having to go find another waitress to refill it for me after waiting at least ten minutes. We also told her about my husbands eggs, she came and looked at them and said they were scrambled easy. Looking that up on the internet that means they should be light and fluffy. They were flat, lifeless and not cooked through. She said she would have new ones made and they came exactly as the first. The only thing my husband ended up eating was the bacon off his plate and my mixed greens that came with my omelette. The staff was busy socializing and dancing rather than pay attention to the customers. So we ended up paying for both meals as no one apologized or offered to take his meal off the bill. We will cross this one off the list and head over to Fresh Egg. read more

THE FOOD IS COLD. WHAT IS GOING ON AT THIS LOCATION?? We have been to FW down in Florida and have had a great experience and the first time we tried this location in Huntersville NC the food was barely warm. The Veggies were not cooked into the eggs, everything seemed like it was pre cooked and assembled. Disappointed. We decided to give it another try and we ordered takeout online. My husband went to go pick up after 20 min. and had a considerable amount of more time to wait 30 min. When he brought the food home AGAIN NOT FRESH. Food was NOT warm. Which should have been since he had to wait for the food, picked up and came directly home. The container didn't even have steam from placing warm food. ON TOP OF THAT our order was missing the eggs and meat to both dishes. Tried to call and no one is picking up. I understand there are staffing issues with COVID- let's not have that be the excuse. DO BETTER. Never going again. I don't even usually reach out and complain but this is but you need to know and so does everyone else that this is NOT ACCEPTABLE. STOP passing off pre-made food as fresh. Your customers are smarter than that. read more
