Really amazing fresh breakfast fare. I would highly recommend getting a dish with the whole grain toast. It has a flavor that's hard to find. Eggs-cellent omelettes and bacon. They serve a whole carafe of coffee for those sleepy mornings. read more

I feel like this place could use a refreshing review. I visited here on a Tuesday so I obviously didn't have to deal with the weekend crowd. But I was seated promptly, the food was tasty and still hot when I received it. My server was great and came to check on me several times. The only con is parking... either drive around forever to find a meter or pay $20 for the garage right next to it. Other than that, it was great! read more

First time trying First Watch and was pleased with our visit. Although they are known for a large breakfast menu I went with a Ham and Gruyere Sandwich. I had a choice of green or soup and went with bowl of Tomatoe Basil Soup. I enjoyed the sandwich but the soup seem to just need something, still over all pretty good. My wife got Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl she liked but didnt love. She mistakenly thought it had eggs but that was not the case. The menu really leans towards healthy and that is awesome to have in Indy. Parking is a little challenging but eventually we found one out front after 3 passes. The restaurant itself is simple nothing flashy but the food makes up for that. This is close by several hotels so visitors should seek this restaurant out. Enjoy read more

Can't go wrong with brunch at first watch. They have a menu full of delicious selections from healthy to indulgent. All their ingrediants are quality and the service is great. I came here with a friend for saturday brunch at 10a and there were plenty of tables. I ordered the whole grain carrot cake pancakes and they were tasty (though rather heavy on the nutmeg) and just subtly sweet. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. Definitely something for everyone read more

Worst coffee I've ever had. The waffle looks yummy. And the fruit compote is legit. Unfortunately they threw the sausage links on top of the eggs, which busted the yolks. So if I reheat them in the microwave, the yolks are gonna be cooked. I will add more pics once I've heated everything up. The OJ has a good flavor itself, but I'm getting a funky plastic taste. read more

Overall: tasty, expensive, time consuming, but relaxing. Our server, El, was very attentive and kind. She helped us with some tourist info and reccomendations of what to do in the city! As far as food goes, I ordered the Tri-Athlete. It was delicious, but the serving size wasn't impressive. I also got the Morning Meditation drink and it was SO GOOD, tangy and lively. We had to wait a while on our food and there was only 3 of us...but it was well worth the wait. I liked the atmosphere as well. Very chill and relaxing. read more

This is another of the fun, fresh, healthy breakfast places that seem to have been popping up everywhere lately. I went on a Saturday morning and the place was nearly full, but I didn't have to wait. The brunch crowd was happening! The highlight for me, honestly, was the coffee! It was fairly dark and they kept a pot on the table. When I requested some creamer, it came out fresh, not in a pre-packaged "dairy product" container. I had the egg-white omelet and it came with toast. The omelet was fairly bland, there wasn't cheese (I expected that, it was the healthy option.) I salted it pretty heavily and felt good about my calories. The toast was great with some jelly! My friend had french toast, which looked great. The fruit cup that came with mine was pretty unremarkable...but I will go ahead and remark anyway! The melon bites were not quite ripe and I didn't even bother to finish it. It was $36 for two of us, does that seem high? Maybe a tad? Maybe not. Don't believe me first watch! Don't believe me first watch!!? Yeaaaaa ummm...Feel free to interchange the lyrics to 'Uptown Funk', try it right now ....in your head...seeee!!? Yes, I'm up and atom at 7am Saturday )morning cuz my protons need neutrons and I'm missing electrolytes from pregaming like it's my 99th birthday. So mama need some of this and little that. As in...Hot ham and crisp pork that we call good old Indiana bacon. If you ever see me at First Watch come over and have a sit down because I'm gonna be there for a while. The last time I went we had an omelet and their avocado and egg sandwich and some other things. However, they have LOTS for you to try who cares if they are a chain. The service was low key, polite, and very friendly. Everyone looked happy to be there. Lord knows we've all walked into a diner where half the staff looks like they need to stroll down a caffeine and red bull runway before they take off into Outer "please-give-me-lots-of" Space. Well...First watch, you are the opposite!! You look awake refreshed, ready for work, and are serving up goodness. In fact, I love everything except the parking and some of the prices! It would be even more spectacular if they offered lowered prices on their special menu- I think we paid $67 for two last time. Go here and enjoy yourself, you deserve good bacon!! Ate here twice during a 4-day visit in town. First, lots of individual seating options, well-spaced for masks and reading alone. Non-stop coffee. But the menu. So fresh! So light! The right price! They had a cookbook I was tempted to buy...but some things just need to remain a lovely memory. And come to find out: I have a location 5 miles from my house! Thanks for being the best brunch spot in Indy, I will carry the message forth in Colorado. read more

Good quality, fresh, made to order food. Random but im not sure why I've been walking past this place so much for some reason i thought it was like a panera bread. Anyway i dig this place! for the quality of food and great service at this downtown indy location its no reason not to come when ive waited longer for food at a fast food spot. Super clean and wide variety of choices! Refreshing. That's my one word to wrap this place up with, refreshing! Clean eating and they leave the coffee and water at your table, fabulous idea. So many choices on the menu but I went with the Tri-fecta... Waffle, two eggs, and bacon. Boom. The best part about the experience, I didn't feel uncomfortably full when I left, even though I ate my whole plate, so two thumbs up for that! Luckily there is another location closer to where I live so I will be frequenting there often. read more

With my GenCon stay at the Sheraton Indianapolis this year, I knew I needed a good breakfast to fuel my trip through the Indy Convention Center. Luckily for me, First Watch was more than happy to oblige. For those not familiar, First Watch specializes in breakfast and brunch, closing by mid-day. The ubiquitous avocado toast leads off the menu, with a number of brunch standbys batting clean-up. I actually went to First Watch twice over the 4 days of GenCon, and would have gone a third time, but they weren't open when I passed by. The first day, I was seated within 15 minutes, while I was seated immediately on the second, with plenty of other tables open. My meal that first day--biscuits and gravy, served with eggs and potatoes--was not just tasty, but definitely filling to get me through the first 6 or 8 hours of those long, GenCon days. Even better, though? It's affordable. With both coffee and tip, I was only paying about $12, which helped free up funds for my various dealer-hall excursions. If I'm back in Indy for GenCon next year, I'll certainly be keeping my eyes peeled for the First Watch. read more

Love this emerging chain. Seem to be all over now and consistent from town to town. Really committed to fresh ingredients, a big menu that works across many fronts. You can go healthy but flavorful or indulge with a great waffle. Benedict's are very good and you can sub some perfect cheesy grits for the side salad if you worked out extra hard. This location is perfect downtown location and super friendly staff. Avocado toast is hearty and delicious. read more

The brunch LOVE of my LIFE! They have the PERFECT BURGER i.e. VEGGIE BURGER. As a vegetarian, I always struggle for good veg burgers and FIRST WATCH has the best veg burger undoubtedly in Indy so far. Additionally, the lemon ricotta pancakes are HEAVEN. I have been to first watch countless times and majority of the times the service has been great! My best recommendation is always to do get in line option as it can get crowded on weekends! I have tried French Toast and Floridian French Toast before, but the bread is too heavy for me. My best food suggestions - Veggie Burger with a side of Dijonnaise, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and Market Veggie Sandwich! read more

Underwhelming to say the least. Went in on a sunday morning after 12hr shift. First, they sat us right by the kitchen but there were othere empty tables....no biggie, the server then proceeded to take our drink menus didn't hear a word i said but didnt ask to clarify and just brought my husband his drink. Billed as a must-try on the Indianapolis food circuit, First Watch doesn't disappoint. I ordered pancakes, million dollar bacon and egg whites, and was extremely pleased with the flavor of my food, which tastes almost like home cooking, and the service. All adding up to a great way to close out a week in Indy. I'm only now realizing that this restaurant is a chain--there are six locally awaiting my next visit, which will be soon: the summer crab omelette looks scrumptious on the website. One small demerit: the value proposition here (price paid for amount of food received/ambience/service/etc.) is a little out of whack; you could easily spend $20/person just for breakfast. Unfortunately, FW and of its competitors are all in a similar price bracket. read more

Walked here from my hotel and I was pleased. It was busy but I got sat immediately and the hostess was extremely friendly. I got the Floridian French toast because of the pictures and reviews on here. I was really excited and yes it was yummy and the fruit was amazing BUT the French toast was cold =*[ I didn't feel like complaining or sending it back because I hate doing that so I just tried to eat it real fast. Three stars...sounds kinda rough huh? Well I just wanna give the place room to grow with another visit. The service was great, got seated immediately, fresh coffee, the waitress even retrieved French Vanilla creamer for me. Menu looked interesting, not too big, not too small. I went with the Market Hash with poached eggs. The potatoes were nicely, maybeee a little heavily, seasoned. And then there was the goat cheese, those were the two flavors I tasted. I mean, it wasn't terrible but didn't blow me away either. And seemed to be a little high for the portion. So yeah, three stars. read more

I decided to take my mom to breakfast at First Watch. I usually go to the Carmel location. This was my first trip to the downtown location. Ashley was our server. She was extremely patient. My mom was a little indecisive. It was her first time here. I ordered the works omelette. First off the coffee here is awesome. They leave a pot at your table. They also use raw sugar, instead of white sugar. Plus they also have flavored creamers. The food was fast. We both ordered the works omelette. It was one of the best omelettes I have ever had. My mom was extremely impressed. I understand this is a chain, but the product is extremely consistent. I'm looking forward to my return visit. read more

Million Dollar Bacon was just $4.99, but worth much more. Sticky with brown sugar, pepper, cayenne, and maple syrup. Mmmmmm. Avocado Toast came with two perfectly basted eggs, and just the right amount of fresh avocado, spread on some good whole grain toast. Very good. Server Ellen was super friendly and made good suggestions. She even told me to mention to the cashier that I was an out-of-town visitor, and I would get a $2 discount! read more

Good food. Had the chickichanga. It was quite good. What kills this place from a 5* for me is that the chickichanga was awesome. The coffee was absolutely terrible (think motor oil) and the potatoes on the side kind of had a very odd taste. Chickichanga is awesome though. Give it a shot. read more

First Watch is a great place to go if you are looking for brunch right downtown. It is usually pretty busy on the weekends like most brunch places but the staff is prompt and really accommodating. Just across the street from the Indy Hilton, this breakfast spot is doing everything right: clean tables and modern atmosphere; sweet young ladies properly trained on best customer service; and a great menu showcasing trendy new breakfast foods but also strong on classic American breakfast staples. I was so impressed with my avocado omelet and tasty carafe of coffee I returned for the second morning eager to try another great thing on the menu. One piece of advice for the owners: I felt healthy opting for the mixed greens along with my omelet, but my heart's desire would've been to have the potatoes. Why not have both, instead of having to choose? Regardless, the girls were tops on service and the food arrived quickly and was super tasty. I came here for breakfast because the main picture for the restaurant- the avocado toast looked amazing. Needless to say I ordered the avocado toast and it did not disappoint. Best spot in town for breakfast, brunch, and lunch!!! I came down here with family before the football game, and tried their Chile Chorizo omelet. With all the seasoning and pico de gallo smothered all over the omelet, I was thoroughly satisfied!!! I would definitely come back here the next time I visit Indy!! read more

It seemed like only one restroom may have been operational because I only noticed people coming out of one. For a business this large and as busy as it gets, I don't feel that's enough restroom accommodation. The first available table was outside, so we decided to take it. Unfortunately, it wasn't the best experience. There was nearby construction, making it very loud and difficult to carry on conversations amongst our table. It was also a windy and chilly day, and I definitely underestimated the weather. I should have brought a coat! We weren't in the sun so it was too chilly. The strong wind constantly blew napkins and other items around the table, which became frustrating. During cooler days, outdoor heaters would make the patio much more comfortable. The atmosphere is fantastic, especially during weekend brunch with the DJ and lively vibe. The service has been excellent both times...friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food has been great as well. The French toast sticks were amazing, and we both ordered omelettes that were excellent. They also have a really fun selection of brunch cocktails on the menu. Stacci house made pasta - This was a big hit and I would order this every time. Hanger Steak - My husband, aka the picky eater, loved it. I didn't try it, but everyone seemed to like it. Chicken with a few dumplings - We all loved this. Three desserts to share: a cheesecake with fruit on top, one a bread pudding and a chocolate crisp. Both were cooked perfectly and composed of flavors and textures that complimented each other perfectly. There's nothing that wouldn't be good on their menu because you can tell the chefs are exceptional as well as the ingredients they choose. They split up the salad onto two plates for us, which was sweet of them. The portion was pretty good for a $12 salad. Very refreshing. Brussel sprouts were absolutely fire. Get them! Along with that, I also ordered the tempura shrimp maki roll. Inside the roll was cucumber and avocado with giant tempura shrimp right on top, drizzled in spicy mayo. These were the highlight of the show. The pork on them was thick, the slaw was fresh, and the bao bun itself was fluffy. We split two dishes for dinner- the short rib and the chicken udon noodles. The chicken udon noodles were fantastic- packed full of flavor and tons of toppings in it. The short rib fell a little short of my expectations, but I had high expectations to begin with. We have had the short rib multiple times in the past- and normally it is a hunk of meat, similar to a roast. Now, it is strips of tiny pieces of meat with a bone attached to it. If the owner/general manager is reading this- GO BACK TO THE ROAST STYLE- the strips of meat was too much work to eat. Still packed full of great flavor though. I had the bridge to Anshun for my drink. I had never had Baiju before, but glad I tried it. It was a tangy drink that was also sweet- would say it's a must try. Overall, some changes since our last visit that weren't expected, but overall had a great evening here. Can't wait to return.

He said the meatloaf was okay but not the best he's ever had. I tried the broccolini though and really liked it. For drinks, I had the Wildfire Smash cocktail which I thought was good and my husband had the espresso martini, and he said it was decent. We enjoyed our experience at the bar and appreciated the friendly service. I'd definitely like to come back and experience a full dinner here sometime, noting that it's probably best to have reservations.

Fantastic breakfast brunch lunch spot. Clean and quant. Service was impeccable, very fast and informative about the menu and highly suggested options. It is hard to find a restaurant that has so many healthy, but tasty options. Parking garages all around plus on the street. I will definitely return to start a Sunday Funday or just get a bite to eat. read more

Food was very unique and pretty delicious. I recommend the power quinoa bowl for a new breakfast experience. The only downside is that they seemed to rush us out... Guess they wanted to have room for the Sunday brunch crowd. read more
