Absolutely delicious! Was a great first stop to our trip. Not pictured were two juicy and perfectly cooked chicken sandwiches. Our server even took the time to look up some nice places for us to check out for our stay. Definitely would recommend checking it out. Safe on the wallet too!!

The Eagle caught me off guard. I thought it was just a bar, but it's got a really cool vibe. Dim lights, a little loud, but easy to just sit and hang out. Bartender was super friendly and helpful. Gave me a few recommendations and I just went with it. I came in craving fried chicken, got the 1/4 dark meat with mac and cheese. When it hit the table... yeah, it looked serious. Three pieces, golden and crispy, still hot. First bite had that crunch right away, then super juicy inside. The meat was tender, almost falling off the bone. Seasoning is simple, salt and pepper, but it's done so well. Every bite had flavor all the way through, not just on the outside. Then the spicy honey... that's what took it over. It's sweet first, then the heat creeps in after a second. When it hits the crispy skin, it kind of soaks in just enough without killing the crunch. The sweetness brings out the seasoning more, and the little kick at the end keeps it from getting too heavy. I kept going back for more without even thinking and ended up pouring the rest on everything. Honestly, this is the best fried chicken I've had.

Seriously this is a hidden gem. This is the second or third time that I have been here and I have never written a review (I know, I know). But anyway, the service is great, the place is great and it is located in a great area of town. Enough greats, right. But to be honest, this place is sometimes missed just sitting on Mass Ave. The best thing here, just get the chicken. Anything with the chicken, you cannot go wrong. The crust and flavor are just from another world. The corn bread is sweet but oh so good. The green beans were loved by everyone including an 11 month old. Macaroni and cheese were great and seriously they make a mean grilled cheese on the kids menu. PROS: Best fried chicken, seriously Food is great Drinks are great Super huge bourbon collection, come ready Bigger room in the back for large groups Customer Service exceptional CONS: Duh, it is Mass ave, parking

We had a pretty large group and they were able to accommodate us. Food arrived quickly and drinks were kept full! Food was delicious. We ordered the fried chicken and some appetizers. Definitely one of the better spots on Mass Ave for southern food!

Awesome service from Mason with great dixie style food. Get the shrimp and grits with the mac n cheese. Put it in the same bowl and thank me later! Awesome for a quiet weeknight dinner. Spacy but intimate.

Damn! Food was straight up amazing southern cooking. We shared the fried chicken drumsticks, a salad that had bacon, nuts, feta, and blacked eyed peas. Additionally we had the hush puppies and the mac and cheese. Everything was so so so amazing fir dinner. We sat at the bar and our bartender Emma made great recommendations. We had the peach jalapeño margarita and the blackberry's lemonade of some sort. All good too. Emma gave us great recommendations fir the city too. Ambiance was kind of rustic modern farmhouse. Really cool and elegant.

Souther salad with added chicken cutlet and the pimento burger with a peach jalapeño margarita. Can we say

Super kind and let us know if all our options and his favorites and it all hit it out the ballpark. Cute ambience too loved being outside. Great job to the owner, thanks for the great time.

I feel like this is a hidden gem of a place almost as I was researched where to get food in Indianapolis and kept finding places that always have a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. However, this placed never came up and I found it through Google Maps after some searching. PHENOMENAL find, because they have one of the best and more affordable fried chicken I have ever had. Five drumsticks for $12 is an amazing price in the current economy and it's comparable to the best fried chicken that I had in Atlanta. The hot honey that it came with was good as well, made it taste even better. I also had the pulled pork sandwich which definitely needed the sauce that it came with, was a bit on the drier side but still good. Only thing confusing was why they added the pickle but on top of the sandwich instead of on the inside as you can see in the photo I have added.

Just refreshing update. Yes this still best chicken in indy! Stopped in for food and drinks and it did not disappoint! Server was very friendly and always nice. Great place for dating life

We came here for our 5 year anniversary and had a blast! Our server was just the absolute sweetest person. She was helpful and came around often to ask us what we needed. The food was phenomenal - as always some of the best homemade fried chicken in town. We tried the burn ends for the first time and they were 10/10. I've never had anything bad here. I always recommended this spot. Great for dates, drinks, business dinners, girls night.

Popped in for an early ish dinner before a concert! It was my first time here but I'd heard really good things. The service was quick and friendly. We shared the spicy chicken dip (hold the blue cheese). It was delicious! The pineapple spicy margarita was also delicious and fresh. I had the friend chicken sandwich - it was so good! Lots of good flavors, and a large portion. Everything is à la Carte, so a big hearty sandwich is really all I needed. (Although I did get some green beans). My husband got the burnt end Mac and cheese and he said it was amazing! And it looked amazing. Definitely recommend stopping in! But bring your appetite :)

If you're craving comfort food on Mass Ave, The Eagle is always a solid choice. It delivers the definition of feel-good food. My husband and I shared the fried chicken with spicy honey, homemade biscuits with blackberry jam, and the mac & cheese. It was the perfect portion to leave us both satisfied without overdoing it. I paired the meal with a maple Old Fashioned served neat, which complemented the flavors beautifully. This place never disappoints!

We were seated quickly. It's got plenty of space and seating. The service was quick and the food came out fast as well. The menu is rather small but we were satisfied with the food. I could definitely see this being a go to spot to watch games.

I was really pleased with the service that I received. The menu had a mixture of American comfort food as well as classic Southern dishes. I took several glances at the food other were ordering and they all looked so appealing and appetizing. I decided to order something that I haven't tried anywhere else, so I ordered the Southern Shakshuka, which is their own unique spin-off to the original. The meal comprised of a base of creamy cheesy grits topped with a somewhat rich layer of roasted tomatoes and vegetables and poached eggs. OMG it was amazing and so flavorful! From the service to the atmosphere to the amazing food/ drink, 10/10!! 1. Atmosphere- The atmosphere was very modern, new, clean, welcoming, and home-y. I loved it! What I loved most was the stark difference of space between this location and their Eastside location. There was so much more space to be seated, order, and move around. I didn't feel too crowded or removed from the rest of the restaurant. 2. Service- The service was A1! Our waitress, Brandy, was phenomenal. She was timely, inviting, and nice. The other restaurant workers were also very nice and welcoming. 3. FOOD- The food?? Bussin! OMG. They outdid themselves during this last visit! I have been plotting my next visit ever since we left lol! So my son got the chicken wing dinner with fries. I got a the chicken wing and fried catfish combo dinner with green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. My girlfriend got the fried catfish dinner with sweet potatoes and baked beans. We also got a side of macaroni and cheese and greens for good measure. We all also chose to receive a cornbread muffin with our meals. Yall... I'm not exaggerating I literally loved all of the food. The chicken wings reminded me of the homemade fried ones that I used to love so much when I was younger. My son tore his wings up, and he's a picky eater . So that says a lot. The fries were surprisingly so delish. Perfectly cooked. My FAVORITE side was the sweet potatoes!! I'm not even a big sweet potato girl but they were too good! I can't wait to slide my fork back through those smh ‍. This fish is and will always be a hit with me, and I'll always recommend it. I didn't get a picture, but they make an Uptown (sweet tea/ lemonade mix) that is soooo FIRE ! That is a must have from here forth. Lastly, for dessert we had their sweet potato cheesecake. Also, delicious! His Place easily earned all 5 of their stars.

We had the crab cakes and crab & artichoke dip for apps and our lunch entrees were the fried catfish sandwich with fries and the filet with mashed potatoes and collard greens. For bevvies, we tried their rosé and red zeppelin English ale. All of it, every bit and bite, was 10/10. Food breakdown: - Crab cakes: succulent lump crap meat within a lightly battered and flash fried coating. They come on a bed of arugula with a light dressing and dipping sauce for the cakes. Super yummy! - Crab & artichoke dip: ooey gooey deliciousness, perfect balance of cheese sauce too. You don't have to search for the crab or artichokes. And the fried naan chips were sliced long and thin, and could've been called naan fries actually. Perfect companion for the dip. - Fried catfish sammich: the piece of fish was huge and the batter was good. It came on Texas toast with fixins and tartar sauce. Won't lie, the only thing I wanted for was some hot sauce. That's a me problem... just gotta have hot sauce when I eat fried fish but I didn't ask for any while I was there (they may offer it) and still very much enjoyed the sandwich. - Filet: it was great... hubby got it medium and it arrived perfectly cooked. The Demi glaze sauce was so good and so were the sides. Their collard greens are seasoned up! I said does my auntie work here?! This cuisine is so comfortingly southern and didn't disappoint. Shoutout to our friendly and helpful server, Dan... our food and drinks came out quickly and so did our to-go box. His service was truly top notch. The wings brought a satisfying bite with just the right amount of crisp, while the burnt ends with fries leaned into bold, hearty flavors that didn't disappoint. The grilled chicken Caesar salad offered a lighter option but still delivered with fresh ingredients and solid execution. What truly elevated the evening, though, was the service. Skye, our waitress, was exceptional, attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging. She kept everything flowing seamlessly for a larger group, which is no small feat. The overall atmosphere struck a great balance between upscale and approachable, making it an easy choice for both casual dinners and group outings. Bottom line, a well rounded dining experience with strong food, standout service, and an inviting environment. I'd absolutely recommend Conner's Kitchen + Bar and wouldn't hesitate to return.

The honey butter and syrup just went so well with the items. The next favorite was the pancake tacos. They were basically a breakfast plate in taco form. It's a bit messy but they were tasty. The biscuits and gravy weren't bad, but weren't anything show stopping. We also really enjoyed the loaded tots. They weren't anything like I was expecting. They looked like hush puppies and were amazing. The atmosphere inside was nice as well.

Our server was so great at accommodating her needs. Overall, our server was awesome in general. She gave great recommendations and was attentive. Everyone seemed happy with their meal. I had a Bellini and the biscuits and gravy. It was delicious and the price seemed reasonable for the portion. I would definitely return.

They have some for sell if you don't have one. They have a large dining area, but have shut down most of the tables for social distancing. It is very tidy and clean though. There is tons of parking in the lot that it shares with the other businesses in the strip mall. The restaurant has a wide range of menu items such as meatloaf, pig feet, pork chops, and fried and baked chicken. They also have many sides including cabbage, mac & cheese, yams and corn. My highlight was the kool-aid bar. They had 3 different flavors of my favorite childhood drink. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. I got a 3 piece fried chicken dinner, with a side of goulash and mac & cheese. It took about 20 minutes for them to prepare my meal. The chicken was hot and fresh out of the fryer. It was delicious. The goulash was pretty tasty too. The mac & cheese, well, not so much. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. I would have probably gotten something else if I got to pick over again. The meal also came with come cornbread. It was a lot of food and I could not eat it all there, so I had some leftovers to take home. I enjoyed my meal here. Its sign that it has up claiming to be Indy's Best Kept Secret, definitely holds true. I recommend you checking this place out and will surely be back soon.
