I first heard of First Watch when one popped up in Cherry Hill, NJ but never went until I moved to Florida. There is one on the other side of the road that I've been to multiple times now and every time has been great. Even though there is always a line, there is never a wait. The host/hostess staff are always great. The wait staff is fantastic. And even paying the bill at the end is cool. The food is outrageously good. And the overall atmosphere of the place is warm and welcoming. I'll be back again soon. read more

What a great cup of coffee! I like that there are a few tables for outdoor dining when the weather is right. They serve breakfast and lunch favorites like eggs, pancakes, soups, salads, etc. I enjoy the homemade bread and jams. During the week you are able to get a table quickly but on the weekend use their online platform to save your spot in line before you get there because they will be busy! read more

We arrived at 11:12am and were told it would be a 30-40 min wait. We were seated an hr and 15 mins later. We put in our order and waited 40 mins. I understand this is a busy establishment. However I've watched several tables sit empty for 15mins while people have been waiting to be seated. Just an observation but I definitely think they could use some coaching on speed and efficiency. Doesn't look like this first watch is living up to there standards. Staffing shortage is a poor excuse especially when they were thriving through COVID. So to be frank last three visits food has either been coming out 25-30 min after ordering or just comes out piss poor. Quality much? None. Staff seems to stay friendly but laziness is quite obvious with employees gossiping and standing in the corner in view of customers horesplaying. Not the time or place with little enforcement but their manager. Last to go orders/wait in line seating app. It has been obvious when you come for the estimated time to pick up food it's almost been consistent last two months I'm waiting 15-20 min it was suppose to be ready. Seating app if you haven't noticed has changed but for what ever reason it's not great on queuing customers the right wait time or when your tables are ready. Management if your ready this take note that great leadership and an efficiently ran business comes from being able to take constructive criticism. And for the record I DO believe this is a great chain just poorly ran. They are biting off more then they can chew at this location simply put. Recommend other Jax locations for now. read more

you're paying a lot and getting very little in return, I ordered the avocado toast and over medium eggs. when I received my order the avocado was brown (and not just the outside the inside too) and my eggs popped and running all over my plate before I even took out my eating utensils. I was excited to see that we had a First Watch in Oakleaf when they were building but I've given them 4tries on the take out side since opening last year and this location is still struggling. I always have to wait 20more mins or more than the quoted time for my order to be ready and my food is still cold or I can tell that they have given me food that has sat for awhile. This is my 2nd time at my neighborhood First watch. The First time, The food was ice cold but I contributed that to where we were seated which was directly under the air conditioning vent. Of course they have no microwaves or anything which is acceptable so I had to take my food to go so that I can go home and heat it up in order to eat it. Now this is my second time at my neighborhood first watch and I have been sitting for 45 minutes and I only have a cup of coffee! My server is slow as molasses and not very attentive at all. I'm very frustrated with this experience and I think I will travel the extra 20 mi to go to KeKe's to get my favorite thing which is a Belgian waffle. Now I never take away from good tasting food so their waffle is excellent even though I had to heat it up the first time I was here. Even while typing this post, my food still isn't here and it is creeping up on one hour. I don't think I'll be back to this first one again, but I never say never because anything could happen. .......WELP!!! EVERYTHING WAS WRONG! My my overwhelm eggs were raw .... I don't understand that. The waffle was burnt and they put the burnt side down as if I wasn't going to see it. My husband's self-scrambled eggs were scrambled but hockey puck hard. Let me start by saying I first discovered First Watch restaurants when I was visiting Tennessee. What a delight to find some place that serves carrot cake and lemon ricotta pancakes! I have enjoyed all the items I've ordered over the last few years, except the million dollar bacon because I don't enjoy the peppered bacons. The service at this new location is spot on with courteous friendly front desk and wait staff. The decor is typical First Watch with a rustic modern feel and of course they keep it very cold inside, bring your sweater. The coffee came to me steaming hot, a first for me and a pleasant change from some other locations. I enjoy the additional choice of creamer in relation to the normal half and half most breakfast places carry. I ordered the special pumpkin pancake breakfast with 1 pancake, 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon. The portion was perfect for me, nothing to take home. My only complaint was the pumpkin pancake. The batter was too thin and so I did not get a fluffy pancake, and it was overcooked on one side. So overcooked that it was tough and hard to cut, but the flavor was still good. I don't like the huge dollop of butter (not sure if it's vegetarian butter) it doesn't have the taste of real butter. I'll keep coming here because I love First Watch, I will update if my experience is different through the months. They are brand new, and very popular be prepared to wait, and I'm wondering where's the "join the waitlist" option I've seen at other locations? read more

Went today (Opening Day) IT WAS AMAZING! Im a huge fan of First Watch and Im so glad to have one close to home. I got a table for 1 and Jonvantez (JV) was my server and he was very attentive. I had a Cobb Salad and it was so good. They really have the best Cobb Salad around. It was full but no one ever had to wait for a table while I was there. I assume he is a manager, but Dale is fantastic. Every time we come here he asks how we are and if our meal was ok. He stays very busy and never slows down. The food is always fantastic. Today we had Deon for our server and it is almost impossible to find this hogs of quality in a person. She made sure we were happy and taken care of. Went to this location 8/13/22. We got there around 1:30pm and we were sat in the back right next to the bar and kitchen entrance. We placed our drink order and starter at the same time and then we saw no one for 30 minutes. When we finally saw our server again she said that our bacon starter will be right out and we placed our food order. Then we waited another 15 minutes and then they brought us our regular food and we still hadn't received our starter yet, and my food was wrong on top of that. Where we were seated every server was walking past us but not one person ever refilled our drinks and they were cleaning around us. We finally got our bacon and I ate that and our server offered me a piece of toast while I waited for my food to be corrected. I waited another 15 minutes for my food to be brought to me. My partner's food wasn't very good. His came with black beans that were bland like they were just reheated right from the can, and had hollandaise sauce that tasted like cheese. When I finally got my food it came with the potato hash and the potatoes were hit or miss on if they were cooked throughly or not. By the end of the meal my partner was sipping on melting ice and our food was not worth the hour long wait. We will never return. read more

Plenty of taste. Ample size. Friend had half sandwich and salad. Both were good. Ample social distancing. Server doesn't process payment. Central cashier. Everyone wearing masks. Very disappointed, I have eaten at the Bartram Park location few times and was definitely excited to have a location in Argyle. Especially given lack of breakfast options in the area. waitress wore a mask but did not cover her nose once. I saw her walking around and never did she cover her nose. What is the purpose of a mask if you aren't going to cover your nose? Don't want to hear arguments about mask. Service industry wear mask properly. She seemed as though the last place she wanted to be was at work and that we were a hinderance to her life. She brought coffee, didn't pour and in fact didn't even put cups near us same with water when we asked. How hard is it to actually try and place coffee cup in front of the person. Eggs Benedict was ok but eggs were over cooked absolutely no run to the yolk. The salmon was good but nothing special. My wife had the ham and it was boring. The potato's were very nice.
