When we were in Cobb visiting family, on our way out of town we stopped in at First Watch, a place we normally enjoy on the coast, so we expected it to be good. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Situated in what I was told used to be a TGI Fridays, the wait time was through the roof. In their defense, there were 8 people in our party. I ordered the eggs Benedict, which sadly was so far below par I ended up realizing that it was the worst eggs bene that I've ever had. Our party's order came out in stages, with my sister in law not getting her food until everyone was more than halfway through the meal. That is totally unacceptable, no matter how polite the server is. Funny thing is, we almost just hit the road and stopped at Waffle House somewhere. I really wish we had. read more

Great space. Large buildings. Nice calming architecture and colors mixed media with a modern kitch vibe. Super Cute and clean. Came in to celebrate with former colleagues Birthday. Husband and I were greeted and sat immediately. Several servers and staff walked by us, never acknowleding us. Qe sat there for a few more minutes until I went up to the greeter stand and ask if anyone was working that section. The tall guy at the station shugged his shoulders as to say "I don't know." We'd found that First Watch can be hit or miss depending on the location. Thus, we weren't that excited when we found out that it was First Watch that was opening in the old TGI Friday's. Boy... Absolutely terrible experience at the First Watch in Kennesaw. We were told the wait would be 30-50 minutes, which we were fine with, but I watched multiple people who arrived after us get seated before us. When I politely asked the hostess for an update, she hit me with attitude and said we were still #10 in line and had "only been waiting 31 minutes." Zero concern about the fact that people behind us were being seated first. After waiting over an hour, we were finally seated. They took our order, and after another 15 minutes, they brought out my wife's plate and a side of bacon I ordered--but not my meal. We ended up sharing her food while waiting. It wasn't until 30 minutes later that our server realized I never got my meal. I told her to just cancel it, but she brought it anyway and didn't charge us. Appreciated the comped plate, but overall--rude staff, disorganized seating, and slow service made this one of the worst breakfast experiences I've had. Won't be coming back. read more

Nice interior and design. We came around 1:00 on a Saturday and were told it would be a 35 minute wait but ended up getting seats at the bar after a while. This place was really good. The customer service was very good as well. We got there around 8:45am and we were waiting to be seated and one of the employees was walking through the front doors to start workin I mean still had jacket on and purse in hand and noticed we were not being helped and she literally just dropped her stuff and sat us down and was our waitress the rest of the time. I'm updating my review as I had a totally different experience this morning. I arrived at 8 am. It wasn't crowded at all. I stood at the front waiting to be seated for longer than I should have given it wasn't busy and there were several servers. When the person finally acknowledged me, she said do you want to sit at the bar? Not really, but okay. There were 2 people at the bar. I sat there and sat there and sat there and no one acknowledged me even though the one guy was brought his food. Finally, after 10 minutes I got up and left. This is a very nice breakfast/brunch eatery. If you have a group there will be something on the menu for everyone. Great food and service. There is always a wait on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Great location! Food was the best we've ever had at a first watch location! Only weird thing was that we tried to get in line on the waitlist, and it said that there was no wait. When we showed up, they said the wait was 10-15 minutes...the virtual waitlist still showed that there was no wait. I heard servers talking and they said they cut some servers too early especially since several parties showed up after us. Lesson learned...don't believe the online waitlist. This place was soo good and didn't have to wait long at all. Lots of room and space to move around and you don't feel cramped or like you're in everyone's way. The place was fairly clean and well organized. The staff were kind, and the hostess was super attentive. However our server forgot about us in the beginning, didn't bring drinks until we had to remind her. Another server tried to come serve us after she took our drink order. It was just super confusing, but I can look past that for some good food! I got the oatmeal and a side of potatoes. The oatmeal was thicker than I'd like, but it was good nonetheless. I went in with my husband, the wait wasn't bad to sit, but that's when the wheels come off. We were sitting about 3 minutes waiting for an offer of beverages. We placed are orders immediately. I requested oatmeal and million dollar bacon, and my husband requested pancakes. Amazingly enough, the people next to who were seated after us received their meal quickly, waffle and some other things. After watching our waiter moseying around for a bit. I started a timer. Told my hubby if the food wasn't out in 5 minutes, we were leaving. At 5 minutes when the REALLY chill guy, our waiter, was wandering around getting extras for the people next to us, my husband flagged him and asked about our food. He said another 5 minutes. That's when I lost it and said: Nope, and some other things I'm not proud of (dropping the f bomb in front of children), and we left. This is only for the First Watch on Cobb Place Blvd facing Barrett Parkway. I have eaten at multiple locations from Bowie Maryland to Decatur Ga. Good to have a FW near me but I went in today & sat alone at the bar. I was talking to the nice server about my dairy allergies & al seemed well. She took so long to bring my drink, a few of the other servers asked if I was ok bc of how long it took. When I get my food, there is dairy on the English Muffin & the eggs are wrong. Came in for brunch/lunch on a Monday. Ended up being a three hour visit. Service was extremely slow. Food literally came out one plate at a time in 5-10 minute increments. All but one plate was cold. Pancakes hard and dry, wrong items on the plates. Just a bad experience overall. Asked for manager and took at least 20 minutes to come by. Said he was doing rounds. Crushing blow. I'm a huge breakfast fan and 99 times out of 100 eat eggs over medium with sausage, bacon and hash browns. One of our last times here they had a little ad on the table for their new "Barbecoa Chiliquilies Breakfast". It was easily on of the top 5 breakfasts I've ever eaten and I was quite excited to eat it again. Sadly, it's no longer on the menu. I made the mistake of ordering one of their chicken salads. Let's just say compared to that barbecoa breakfast, the salad I was served was something you'd expect at a convalescent hospital. I can't believe they served it. My wife got the same salad. Let's put it this way; I'd rather poke myself in the eye repeatedly than step foot in this place ever again. Almost a two hour visit, place wasn't that busy. It took fifteen minutes for our server to approach the table. Once she did she said, "what are you having I'll take your order for everything." No name given, no, "hello how are you?" We were about to get up and leave right before she came. Drinks come to the table 10 minutes later, still missing one that took another 10 minutes to arrive. Folks, yes, we are gluttons for punishment at this point! Food arrives 40 minutes later and left waiting several minutes for our complete order to arrive so we could all eat. We start to eat and both French toasts ordered were cold...the server comes to the table and I asked if those are supposed to be served cold. She looks at us and says, "Oh they're cold?, Well, umm, no." And then walks off! Seriously, and never came back to the table until it was evident that we were ready to leave. The potatoes were burnt on another persons order as well. We're t'd off at this point but staying classy and not causing a stir, we pay and leave. To add, when we get in the car someone says, "did you see what that lady pulled out of her oatmeal that sat beside us?" I said no and she said it was a hair. Insane! If you have an infinite amount of time, feel free to eat here. We've been to multiple First Watch locations. Unfortunately, this one is not equipped for the volume Barrett Parkway provides. We checked in online for a PARTY OF 2. It quoted a 45-1 hour wait. Sounded reasonable. Got to the restaurant 55 min later and were quoted an additional 20 min. Still sounded reasonable. 45 min passed, checked in with the hostess, quoted another 20 min. 30 min elapsed, checked in again -this time we were quoted an additional 15 min. Nope- zero trust in their time frame. We chose to leave. It had been over 2 hours for a PARTY OF 2! Had a friend that was already sat in the restaurant. Stopped and chatted before departing and they had been waiting over an hour on their food. Hopefully they will get better, but for now avoiding this location! read more

Best service we've ever had in a restaurant. Our waiter, not sure of his name, tall kid, long hair, forgot his name, but said he was fairly new, he was phenomenal. Extremely attentive and although he seemed busy and constantly running back and forth between his tables and the kitchen, always made sure we had everything we needed in a rapid pace. Food was great, and the manager Johnny is so nice and pleasant to talk to while he checked me out by the host stand. Will definitely be coming back!!! The host was also very very nice.
